I ordered the pad woon sen for myself, and the papaya salad for the hubby, along with the curry puffs. The noodles were super dry for some reason, which I have not experienced with other restaurants. The curry puffs were more Indian than Thai. Hubby raved about the salad. I decided to give them another try. I ordered the salad again, plus the green curry (spice level 3) and the veggie spring rolls. Another disappointment, unfortunately. I like spicy food, but this "3" was more like "8". This three star is really just for the dishes I ordered. The service, restaurant decorations and style were all great. I happened to order a dish that I cannot understand. It's veggie tempura salad! Only one type of veggie was used to tempura with, it's some kind of high-watter content veggie. It's a weird choice to batter and deep fry. The dish was tossed with peanut dressing which made the entire dish tasted like a plate of greasy soggy batter. The presentation of the dish was good, but just didn't taste good. Each ingredient is good by itself, but together is a bad combo. I also ordered curry fried rice, the taste of spices was good, but lack of salt. I came here on a Friday night to catch up with friends. The parking lot was big, but parking was hard because there were so many people in this strip mall. I started with the Thai Tea and chicken puffs. The Thai tea was so good. It has a milk base and it was delicious. The chicken puffs were stuffed and so soft and yummy. They actually just broke apart in my hands. Highly recommend. The chicken Singapore noodles were excellent and so filling. I got a three spice level, but it wasn't too spicy. At first I thought because this is a chain restaurant and the logo looked unflattering so I never tried it until now. It turned out very authentic and delicious. I came here with a group of 7 or so for a birthday and everyone loved their food. The service was crazy fast, even with a table of 7 and appetizer orders. I will say that we thought it was insane there was an automatic gratuity added for a table of 7 and no one on the staff said anything about it. The wait staff pool tables and tops from what I could tell, so you won't be served by just one single person. It doesn't matter much though because they're all great. I have tried the Sesame Chicken (3/5 spice) and the Almond Sriracha chicken (4/5 spice). The 3/5 spice wasn't super spicy and I probably could have done with a bit more heat, but I also enjoy spicy food. Take that as you will. I had my go-to meal of Pineapple fried rice with chicken, spice level #2. I have to say that I was disappointed in the spice level and the flavor. The amount of pineapple was very small but there was a lot of chicken. I like the contrasting flavors so I like a lot of pineapple in my dish. It was just lacking the flavor that I'm used to and it wasn't spicy in the least. I'd probably choose another dish on a return visit. Other guests chose the Herbal Chicken Siracha Fried Rice and Lunar Fried Rice. I tried both of those and found them to be much more flavorful that my own dish. My husband had the Fresh Crabmeat Fried Rice and said it was terrific. He was very impressed with the generous amount of crab meat. This is what he gets at our local Thai place and said the amount of crab meat served by Thai Noodle Wave went above and beyond what he's come to expect. Our pickiest diner chose the Orange Chicken Dinner and cleaned her plate. If that doesn't ring out as a true endorsement I don't know what does. I decided to check out the Carrollton location and see if it was worthy of the same title. I showed up at 2 pm for a late lunch unaware that they would be closing at 3 before dinner service started but thankfully since the dining room was mostly empty other than one large party that was plenty of time to order and enjoy my meal. The staff was attentive and kept my water topped off and was friendly and easy to talk to. They took my order quickly which kept me from stressing about the looming closing time, which was great too. I do think the Tom Kha Kai soup could have used a bit more flavor because I've had better. The Thai iced tea and coffee were hits at our table. This place was interesting. We usually go to "Too Thai" that's nearby but wanted to try something new. We ordered red curry and tom yum soup, basil catfish and crispy chicken spring rolls. The food was overall good but a bit different than what I was expecting. Both the curry and the basil catfish had a lot more vegetables in it, especially bell peppers. We're also pretty sure the spring rolls we had were also vegetarian because we couldn't taste any chicken at all. The tom yum I wasn't a fan of though.
