I started with the Thai Tea and chicken puffs. The Thai tea was so good. It has a milk base and it was delicious. The chicken puffs were stuffed and so soft and yummy. They actually just broke apart in my hands. Highly recommend. The chicken Singapore noodles were excellent and so filling. I got a three spice level, but it wasn't too spicy. I tasted just enough of the spice. The portions are big so I was only able to eat half of the meal and took the rest home. The service was quick. It's really hard to find Thai restaurants that offer vegan friendly curries so I was very excited when we were told that several of the curries (and other entrees) could be made vegan. We ordered takeout and the person taking our order was super helpful in assisting us with choosing what to order. We ended up getting the pad see ew and the yellow curry and both were awesome with amazing flavor. We were also surprised by the portion sizes and low prices. Okay listen ... this crabmeat fried rice? It slaps. Like, slap-your-forehead-and-hug-the-chef kind of good. First of all, the crabmeat is REAL. Not that fake imitation stuff. This crab probably had a family and dreams. Now it lives on in this delicious rice masterpiece, mixed perfectly with fluffy egg like it's been training for this dish its whole life. The flavor? Chef's kiss. I don't know what kind of magic oil or pan they used, but the taste hits you like a warm hug from your favorite aunt , comforting, savory, and a little bit sassy. And let's talk about the staff , not only are they friendly, but they had me laughing while I was chewing, which is dangerous when you're inhaling rice. One of them called my dish "crabtastic." This Thai restaurant is turning out to be a really good lunch option for us. It's located on the outskirts of Carrollton K-town, behind 99. At first I thought because this is a chain restaurant and the logo looked unflattering so I never tried it until now. It turned out very authentic and delicious. We love their lunch combo where you can get a half portion noodle and some other entree, along with soup and ice cream afterward. This was also my first time trying Thai tea ice cream. We came here while on vacation and the food and service was on point. The food was so fresh and served hot. The pad thai was one of the best ive had. The curry roti is 10/10. I got the beef and it was a bit tough so ide probably do chicken next time but it was still very flavorful. The servers were nice and the place was very clean. I ordered from here with my friends and we loved it! I cannot speak to the location, but the food was all well-prepared for a good price. I got the Lunar rice with tofu and it was excellent. The egg yolk was still soft despite being delivered. The tofu was flavorful and well-made. The curry sauce came packaged separately, which kept it from getting soggy. So we just flew in from California and this was our first Thai restaurant experience here in Dallas, let me tell you first off I have traveled to Thailand allot and have experienced authentic Thai food, not only in Thailand but also all over socal so Thai Noodle Wave here its a rip off, not only that the food taste horrible there is no flavor in the curry nor the fried rice nor the pad thai, everything was sweet, you ask for spicy it wasn't spicy, you ask for lemon you don't get lemons, you ask for my water they don't give water, not only the server just walked up and left after we told him about the dishes, he just ignored us like if it was him who made the food and got offended, i mean at least offer me something else off the menu but no he didn't at all, shame on the service here its as bad as the food quality I feel bad for my poor brother and sisters who go to eat Halal food and this is what they have as an option, Very sad to see that, i don't like to give bad reviews but after we told our waiter about the dishes he walked away quick with an attitude starting to assist other customers and then started cleaning after his other waiters. I will say that we thought it was insane there was an automatic gratuity added for a table of 7 and no one on the staff said anything about it. The wait staff pool tables and tops from what I could tell, so you won't be served by just one single person. It doesn't matter much though because they're all great. I have tried the Sesame Chicken (3/5 spice) and the Almond Sriracha chicken (4/5 spice). The 3/5 spice wasn't super spicy and I probably could have done with a bit more heat, but I also enjoy spicy food. Take that as you will. The restaurant looks like a fast food place when you walk in but don't be discouraged, you're going to get great service and tasty food. I have lots of pictures but I don't know if I'll get the names right on the photos so please be aware of that. We're out of town visitors so our family took us here as one of their favorite spots. I had my go-to meal of Pineapple fried rice with chicken, spice level #2. I have to say that I was disappointed in the spice level and the flavor. The amount of pineapple was very small but there was a lot of chicken. I like the contrasting flavors so I like a lot of pineapple in my dish. It was just lacking the flavor that I'm used to and it wasn't spicy in the least. I'd probably choose another dish on a return visit. Other guests chose the Herbal Chicken Siracha Fried Rice and Lunar Fried Rice. I tried both of those and found them to be much more flavorful that my own dish. My husband had the Fresh Crabmeat Fried Rice and said it was terrific. He was very impressed with the generous amount of crab meat. This is what he gets at our local Thai place and said the amount of crab meat served by Thai Noodle Wave went above and beyond what he's come to expect. Our pickiest diner chose the Orange Chicken Dinner and cleaned her plate. If that doesn't ring out as a true endorsement I don't know what does. I used to go to the Preston location frequently back in the aughts as one of my old coworkers at the time loved it and often described it as "the bomb dot com". I decided to check out the Carrollton location and see if it was worthy of the same title. I showed up at 2 pm for a late lunch unaware that they would be closing at 3 before dinner service started but thankfully since the dining room was mostly empty other than one large party that was plenty of time to order and enjoy my meal. The staff was attentive and kept my water topped off and was friendly and easy to talk to. They took my order quickly which kept me from stressing about the looming closing time, which was great too. Decent Thai food that is halal. I was a bit unimpressed with the food over all. The spice level is definitely on the milder side in my opinion. Over all flavor of the dishes were not bad. The shrimp blankets and papaya salad were my favorite items. I usually like my Mongolian Beef with more onions and green onions, where as this one had more bok choy. I do think the Tom Kha Kai soup could have used a bit more flavor because I've had better. The Thai iced tea and coffee were hits at our table. I don't know how their kitchen works but we received our dishes one at a time as they were ready and the last thing to come out was the fried rice we ordered. The food was overall good but a bit different than what I was expecting. Both the curry and the basil catfish had a lot more vegetables in it, especially bell peppers. We're also pretty sure the spring rolls we had were also vegetarian because we couldn't taste any chicken at all. The tom yum I wasn't a fan of though.
