I cannot eat spicy food so please note that this review is on a limited scope of their menu and their spicy dishes may be executed much better. A majority of their menu is spicy so my options were slim. I ordered a fried rice platter which stated it came with chicken and an egg roll. Since this was Chinese fast food I was imagining a chicken fried rice, but that isn't what I got. That's not a huge issue in itself, I was surprised that it was a side of "fried chicken" but I'm open to it and was seriously craving some fast food Chinese. Unfortunately, most of my meal was inedible. For $8.99 I'm not going to have huge expectations, and I'm already pretty forgiving of greasy fast food Chinese as it's my guilty pleasure, but the food looked and tasted very old. The egg roll was cold and when I took one bite of it all the veggies came out in a congealed mess and left the rest of the egg roll shell empty. That was extremely unappetizing. The fried rice is bland but I can forgive that because judging by the menu they need it to be bland to offset some of their spicier items. The real disappointment was their fried chicken. First off all, this wasn't sweet and sour breaded chicken, it was actually coated and fried. I have seen this once in a fusion place but I thought this place was categorized as Chinese, and even in buffets and fast food versions, I have not seen that before. There was too much breading and not enough chicken, the breading wasn't just crispy, it was hard, making it difficult to get to the chicken. Then when you examined the pieces that already had the chicken exposed you saw it was discolored and tough like it had been sitting out all day. This was the lunch rush, there should be no expectation of old food. For me personally, I have no desire to return. However, considering their menu has a lot of black bean and spicy items, that may be more appealing to you personally, and may result in a better experience. read more

Decor: 4/5 It's inside Hmart and very easy to see it. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was packed. There were no open seats. Service: 4/5 The cashier lady was nice and very helpful. She doesn't speak a lot of English but she does understand a little bit. After I ordered, the lady gave me a number and I tried to search for a open seat. After my food done, she called out my number in the wall. Food: 4/5 Definitely would go here again. I love the Combo Noodles number 3 on the menu. It's Jajangmyeon vs Jjampong. Ordered two meals to-go: sesame chicken and chili chicken. Smelled good, opened the packages to find nuggets of lightly fried chicken coated in an appropriate amount of sauce and two scoops of white rice (per meal) on the side. Both dishes, however, did not have a strong taste, with only a slight distinction between the sesame and chili sauces. What overpowered the weak flavors was the establishment's use of fish sauce... I couldn't place the taste at first, but my roommate was able to identify the fish immediately, since he can't stand fish sauce/oil. If you have no beef with the taste of fish sauce, you won't have an issue with those two meals, or most of sauce covered meals on the menu, assuming they incorporate fish sauce into everything. Personally, I could only eat a small amount before needing to stop. If I ever go back to H-Mart, I will be sticking to the handmade (and freshly made) steamed/fried dumpling place next door. read more

Black bean noodles was delish. I got the one with chicken. Portions huge! Like they say... Everything is big in Texas. I shared the noodles and we still had left overs. Also, the lady was very nice. She gave us extra plates and didn't hassle about getting it back. She also gave us hot tea. Their water is also infused with lemon. Happy oinking! read more

DELICIOUS SPICY SEAFOOD SOUP and if you like, you can do 1/2 and 1/2 with another menu item. We tried the special spicy seafood soup with the 1/2 lobster -- and it was not only delicious, but the lobster was HUGE!! This portion of soup was very generous, enough for 2 meals! I should have read the reviews. I was so hungry that I just walked by and ordered some mayonnaise shrimp. I have had this before at many other restaurants and it has been delicious everywhere. Mayonnaise shrimp does not taste like mayonnaise. It tastes creamy and sweet. This is the first time I have not liked it. Fried and breaded shrimp is always crispy. This one was not. The sauce was lacking something and I can't tell what it was. The employees were really nice, but they lie. I specifically asked if the meals come prepared like in the pictures and like the plastic displays they have on the counter. For $16 plus tax, you supposedly get 12 shrimp, rice, some vegetables and a small salad. Both the picture and the display show that. The employee said that everything comes with it. I even gave a $3 tip so it cost me $19. When I got my order, all they gave me was the 12 shrimp - NOTHING MORE. I will definitely not go back. They lie and have false advertising. read more

I love all their food , for taste it's a a 4 but sometimes quality is not consistent, overall good food. I rarely complain of service but the cashier is always blah, acts like "why are you eating here ?" If the job is so miserable, please quit. Had the black bean paste noodles from here and it was delicious. I don't know about the other items from the menu, but the noodles were tasty and perfectly flavored with pork and zucchini. The noodles came out quick and were fresh and hot. The portion was also big enough to share for 2-3 people or to save for later. A great choice inside the Carollton hmart food court. read more

Had the spicy seafood noodle for lunch as their chef special. Way to spicy for me. The bowl looks large but it's not really deep. There was like only 2 shrimps in mine, maybe 5 clams, and the other seafood I can't name. I didn't really like it, I had their other dish like the mayo fried shrimp and that was pretty good. But this spicy was too spicy for me which kills the taste bud. read more

If you are in Super H Mart, they have a cool food court and China Factory is a good choice for lunch or dinner. I ordered a Lobster Seafood Noodle Soup...okay, they put a whole lobster in it...Automatic 4 Stars. Fried Shrimp in some amazing Hot Pepper Sauce...the list goes on. Cannot ask for a better Orange Chicken meal for the price which was on special for 5.99 and came with a hefty portion of rice and sweet and sour, as well as chilli sauce. The chicken is always served crispy (I've had it twice) and is very flavorful! Just like all the places at H Mart food court you can have complimentary water from the neat water coolers, which means the water is clean! That is important to a water guzzler like me! This is straightforward Chinese food prepared in a Korean owned business that is probably cooked up by Mexicans... No frills no fuss just good food! Certainly a good deal, and a great meal while you shop, or even just if you come to hang out at H Mart like I do because you are too cheap to buy a plane ticket to Korea. read more

I don't know why this place has low ratings it's actually a pretty good spot to get Korea authentic food from! It seems the staff is better than it use to be? The food I got there was the spicy chicken (L). The guys at the front were really gentle, the menu is in the front of the store can't miss and has a lot of options to chose from. It took about 10 minutes to get ready. By the time me and my friend got the food it was still hot and smells so good. They really did give us a lot and it came with rice and spicy mayo I think? Been here 3x now and the food has been great everytime. I often come here for the Jajangmyeon and fried rice because it very good here. A small Jajangmyeon is about 6.99$ and a large is 8.99$ that is just super satisfying because it is cheap and very filling. The food also comes out quick and hot. It is just so stinking good. I have yet tried the other dishes on the because it's typical Chinese takeout you get everywhere. The Jajangmyeon is what you want here so go try it. It's good!!! read more

I ordered a Today's Special which was "Beef with Rice Noodle." Yes, I was served a bowl of rice noodle in chili soup. That tasted fine, until I tried to chew on the beef which was nothing than short strands of stiff tendons, definitely not the sliced beef that you see displayed on their menus. I brought up the tendons to show the guy who took my order. He didn't apologize. All he said was he told the people in the kitchen. That didn't tell me a thing, ....whether the cook noted my feedback or whether the cook was sorry for not giving what customers paid for and their false advertising. Sometimes a restaurant that does korean made chinese food is a good thing. This is not one of those places for at least 2 kinds of dishes. Avoid the lo mein and mapo tofu unless you like being severely disappointed due to blandness and lack of flavor. read more

I had the worst experience at this restaurant experience. I ordered fried rice. The made the fried rice and the made it with eggs. I am allergic to eggs. I told the cashier I was allergic to eggs and couldn't eat it. I asked her to remake it. She said I would have to wait a while. After speaking to the chef she came back and said they can't remake it. She said she understood I was allergic but I have to eat it and they can't remake it. I asked if I could get my money back she said no I couldn't. So I didn't get any food nor did I get my money back. She was completely rude and I could not believe she trying to force me to eat something I am allergic too. I just stopped in while picking up some groceries at H-Mart. We ordered a mixed plate with some egg rolls, fried shrimp, dumplings and some other things. The food was good for something just quick to eat. It came with two sauces, one was kind of dark and somewhat bitter, it was good. The other was sweet and sour, I believe.
