This is one of my favorite Thai places. I love ordering take out from them. Their peanut sauce if very good. Order a dish that comes with it or ask for it to be added to another dish. Great location, and staff worked hard, but he food was terrible. Bought two dishes that came with sauces, orange chicken and beef with peanuts, but both tasted like they came straight from a can. The chicken as so sweet I couldn't finish it. If you just want a beer and a curry, I guess it would be fine. Otherwise try someplace else. read more

Our family has been enjoying Thai Cottage for years and have watched the place slowly become run down, dirty, tired and old. My feet stuck to the floor as I made my way to the bathroom walking past cleansers and air fresheners lined along the wall out in the open rather than being properly stored out of sight. The walls, light switches and displays were caked with a dusty, greasy film. So if this is the public area, whats up in the kitchen? Sad to say I'm movng on. The food is great! read more

Thought the food was better than average however I wasn't very impressed with the wait staff . They forgot to add an item on my check so they charged me for the original amount plus the new amount and voided the original one. They already knew I wasn't happy with the food item I bought and didn't even do anything to remedy the situation. This restaurant took service to a whole new levels. I can't sing their praises enough. Not only was the food great, the service during our meal great, but the staff also when way above and beyond the call of duty for me afterwards. I lost my purse and didn't know where. When I went back to check the restaurant, it was already closed. I flew back home early the next morning (with the challendge of no id, no credit cards, no keys, no phone, etc). My family was hooked on our first visit and now we've been Thai cottage regulars more than 3 years since I moved to this area. Therefore, I felt disagree in what Mr. Jeff said about the food and pricing. I never ever have Pud Thai that the noodles were struck together. When ever I order Pud Thai, it is always hot and yum. I have tried one curry dish, and love it a lot because of the fresh ingredients and chicken breast. However, the price is absoulutely resonable here because we are a big family so, when we dine in at Thai cottage, we always end up with ordering more than 7-8 dishes not including drink , but our bill never go over $85-$90. The service is unbelievable! The entire staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. Overall. Thai Cottage has great food. I really, really like this place. It has suppased Royal Palm as my favorite thai place north of seattle (Wild Ginger in downtown would top the list but I don't go into downtown often). Its nicely situated on Main st in Edmonds, a wonderful place to stroll. The food is great and quick. The wine list is decent. One of my all time favorite, go-to Thai dishes is Massaman Curry (I usually get it with tofu - I'm not a vegetarian, but tofu is delicious in this!) Anyway, Thai Cottage serves up a delicious Massaman Curry, which is what originally hooked me! But everything else is solid, too. Here's the problem. I went to Thai Cottage about 3 months ago. The table was sticky. Not just a little bit in one place. I mean all over, layers of sticky. I came here with my husband, sister, and parents and we all really enjoyed the food. I have a wheat allergy and they were very accommodating. The pad thai was great and other members of our party ordered the drunken noodles and soup. We all agreed that we'd be back, which is surprising because we are picky eaters and it must be a pretty amazing place to please all of us. The waiter was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was that the rice was rather overpriced at $3.00 for a not very big container. However, the entrees were around $8.95, which is pretty reasonable for Thai food. read more

Recently had lunch here with a friend,. He loved his meal and I felt mine was fresh but much too much broccoli . They could have thrown in a few more veges for variety. My dish was not called a Broccoli Dish. The more surprising issue for me was when I asked for tea from the rather surly server, I was not told I would be charged $4.25. If I had known that, I would have insisted on a better tasting tea instead of a pot of bland hot water. Last time I was here it was very cold for an evening meal. Honestly, I loved this restaurant for 3 years until a horrible incident happened in July of this year. Friends of ours were in town staying with us and we told them Thai Cottage was our favorite thai restaurant in the area. So we ordered takeout, brought it home and for the most part we enjoyed the dinner. We put the leftovers in the fridge. The next day, my friend pulled out her Crispy Garlic Chicken leftovers and warmed them up for lunch. As she started eating she realized that one of the leftover pieces of chicken was NOT chicken at all! IT WAS A FULL SIZE PAPER TOWEL THAT WAS BREADED AND FRIED! It was so sickening that we threw the rest of our leftovers away and immediately had sick stomachs thinking what else we could have possibly eaten. The next day, I took the box with the "paper towel chicken" back to the restaurant to show them what happened. The waitress looked at it quickly, said sorry (although she did not seem surprised which worried me further!!) and then said I can have a free entree in the future I just have to tell them my name when I come in again. The waitress took the left over box and my name/phone number so I expected to hear from someone like a manager in the next day or two who would hopefully reassure me this would NEVER happen again. Nope, nobody ever called and I never got a giftcard or note or anything to prove I actually have a free meal waiting for me there. It has now been 3 months and I haven't been able to bring myself to go back there for food. Even if I was able to sum up the courage, I bet they wouldn't even have record that I am suppose to have a free meal. We've been ordering from Tasty Thai ever since! read more
