I got along fine with a level 2, while my wife turned up the heat with a 4. Dish prices were on par with the surrounding area, and the food portions were above average. We got the fresh rolls (4/5) and golden fried tofu (4/5), and I got the Chiang Mai Curry Noodles (4.25/5). The fresh rolls were good; the sauce was very flavorful without being too rich, but one of the fresh rolls didn't have any shrimp in it. The golden fried tofu was nice and crunchy and the sauce slightly sweet. The noodles were pretty good, and it was a massive portion! My husband and I ordered takeout, our first time trying here. Worst Thai iced tea I've ever had, it almost tasted like the half and half was spoiled- dumped it. it would have been so nice to have too because the food was so spicy. We ordered three star pad thai and pad se ew and a five star crispy garlic chicken for my husband. He said the noodles were both spicier than his chicken! The flavors of everything were good, the noodles were just overwhelming spicy to me. So we will try this place again (I will order two stars) and we will see how it is the second time. read more

Thai Lime Leaf is a restaurant we recently discovered from good reviews we have been seeing. A very simple, low key Thai place next to Costco Everett is a place you should try. Food is so good, right on the spot. Good amount of food per serving. Price is affordable and you need to choose your protein which adds up to the total. Understandable and in fact, this has been the move of most restaurants. Mind you, they do give you a good amount. I assume the wife runs the place while husband cooks. She is very nice and checks on you if you need anything. You will hear the wok starting moment the cook gets your order. Love it! You know your food is freshly made. Place is great. Parking is easy. We were staying in the area and couldn't decide what to have for dinner. We also needed gas and saw that there was a Costco not too far from our hotel. Upon mapping the area around Costco, we found Thai Lime Leaf. It's located in a small quiet shopping center a block from Costco. There are a few tables inside and one other party besides us was dining in. We ordered all our usual favorites and food came out pretty quick. While the food wasn't bad, it was a bit lacking in flavor that I'm used to. The pad thai didn't have the tamarind flavor I like, and seemed more soy sauce forward, and the yellow curry didn't have much of the coconut cream flavor or consistency. I rate the food 3.5 stars. Seems most of the customers stopped in to pick up take away orders. Plenty of parking in the lot. read more

We went to Thai Lime Leaf based on the good reviews on Yelp. Steer clear of this restaurant. Our two entrees at $20 each were not good and we ended up throwing them away. We asked for 2 stars on one dish and 3 stars on the other. Both were way too hot to even eat, and I like spicy food! The vegetables in both dishes were limp. lifeless and overcooked. This small restaurant sits in a nondescript strip mall off 19th Ave in Everett. The interior is devoid of any decor. It has about 3 booths and maybe 12 more seats inside. Through a small door opening is probably a small kitchen where one can hear the wok sizzling. At lunch when we went, is a young friendly Thai lady alone taking orders and manning the cashier and to go orders. Maybe in the back is one guy responsible for the cooking. But what comes out of the rook is really good and tasty. We had Pad See Ew with Beef. This is my standard test to know if the Thai restaurant is good. This one surely passes the test. The beef slices were tender. Portion size was fair and smoke. The sauce clinging to the noodles is perfect. It had a good amount of charred broccoli and carrots. The Pad Thai with Chicken Satay is impressive, as well. Perfectly balanced flavors of sweetness, sourness and aromatic. The satay was generous. There's a slight misstep with the peanut sauce, I think. It seemed thickened with cornstarch as opposed to just a reduction. If the other items on the menu were of these quality, I would certainly love to try them. So the restaurant may not be pretty, but what we've tasted is good, really good. We'll be back. read more

This review is more about appreciation for what's in your backyard. There used to be a Thai place prior to Thai Lime Leaf but that's in the past. I had driven by this spot more than a few hundred times before ever thinking about going there. I was sick and needed soup and figured Thai food was the order for the cure. I hopped on yelp and saw this was in the top categories and noticed this was on my list but just never considered it until now. I was sick but felt decent enough to eat in pending if it was packed or not. As I walked inside it was empty. Not a red flag particularly but it was welcoming due to the fact I needed to sit and feel unencumbered by people's presence. The lady running the cash register, Joy I think her name is, was pleasant and asked in or dine out. After mentioning in, told me to sit anywhere and I opted for a booth in the back. A quick perusal of the menu and I knew my option. Tom Kha soup. I asked for beef for my meat and tea, water plus a Green tea thai style for my beverage. The tea was hot but I didn't let it steep enough. It was just a bag in a personal pot. The water had some floaters in it so I skipped it. The green tea was great. Like a Thai tea but just green. Then my soup arrived. It was colorful. Almost similar to a bouquet. Spilling out almost with the toppings and was still given a side of bean sprouts, basil and lime akin to having a bowl of pho. I think I was given some sriracha and hoisin packets as well but after tasting the broth I decided it wasn't necessary. The only negative was I was given meatballs and I'm not a fan of those Asian style meatballs whether it's Tom kha or pho but it didn't detract or ruin the dish whatsoever. I gulped it down with barely a break in between bites hahhahaha. Afterwards I chilled for a bit then paid the tab, leaving satiated and more the better than when I entered. That experience was worth it enough to order more , with some being take away and another dine in venture. Some of the dishes I ordered were the green curry with beef accompanied with a side of wide noodles, spring rolls, wings, sticky rice with fish sauce and the pad see ew. I also tried the crispy ginger chicken as well, paired with the crab fried rice. All were decent but the absolute best was the pad see ew. The pad see ew was outstanding. Ripping pipping hot straight from the wok. You could see the char on the noodles and of course, beef was the meat. The flavor was superb. Everything had texture and bite that coalesced into an operatic feature that I didn't know was coming. Again, I want to reiterate this review is about appreciation of what you have right in your own city. I will drive miles, hours even for food. But sometimes it's what's right in front of your face that you miss and might not have a chance to discover. This place is not going to change the world but it'll change your perspective on what you might consider when you're looking for something new. Pretty small restaurant with family run type of vibe. The lady was very courteous and served me right away, even offered to sit by the door: ). I ordered online to takeout so showed her the order detail. She checked and communicated with the chef in the kitchen. This restaurant has a very good rating on yelp im really excited. It's 12:40pm during lunch time. All the booth tables were occupied when I came in. The prices are pretty reasonable as you can see the menu in this post. I ordered the combo with pad Thai and curry, crispy garlic chicken for my daughter. The order came in about less than 10 minutes? It was quick. Combo lunch was generous in portion, good flavor, decent amount of protein except no protein in phad Thai. Lots of rice and noodle. I shared this with my husband. This place was my favorite for Covid take out! It was a solid 4 stars but I came recently and seems it went down hill on food. I've discovered this place through door dash for their delivery and the food is mind blowing from such an un assuming place. I was so impressed. The chef: owner lady is super sweet. I wanted their special mango sticky rice: they were out but she somehow got someone to bring the mango ( her husband I believe), and made it for me. I tend to skip dessert and sweet stuff. But this was so good. The dishes! They have Combos which aren't common for Thai restaurants here. And a good combos too. I usually get Thai curry combo with black sticky rice. It comes with choice of protein, pad Thai and so on. Black sticky rice is delicious! Curry is good too. I've also tried her satay meat, grilled meat, pad kee mao, Tom yum soup etc. The basil stir fry is delicious and spicy: again with the black sticky rice. Tom yum soup was a ok for me: it's very small as well in a take out container. Tasty but way too small for what you spend. But the combos are where is at! Such a steal staring around l $19ish! My recent takeout were a ok though. The owner lady isn't cooking anymore: she has someone do the cooking while she tend to a restaurant full of people. I got their fried rice recently: super mushy. Also got their pad Thai: same. I got a combo with curry but it came without the curry. So I got rice and pad Thai part of the combo! Whomp. During Covid, they were only doing takeout so there was better attention to details as well as better packaging: now they are a ok. 4 stars last year, 3 stars this year. It was a cloud kind of day, where the rain was playing peeka boo with the Earth. I was on a shopping trip to Winco and Costco, and this restaurant was right near both. I had a stellar dining experience at this establishment. For starters, I ordered Thai coffee is STRONG, so, I added water to dilute, which was perfect because it meant more coffee for moi! I ordered Cashew Chicken with an appetizer of Gyoza. My exceedingly gracipus host informed me that the gyoza is completely hand-made with a lot of love thrown in for good measure! One can totally tell they put that love in everything they make. The Cashew Chicken (you get a choice of protein, but I'm a total Chicken Lady, bok bok!) I ordered it with two stars, and the flavor was a total Mouth Celebration! Perfect seasoning and depth of flavor. Yes, I WILL be back on the regular! In conclusion, the food was amazing, and the service even better! I was craving cream cheese wontons and needed to satisfy this craving ASAP! Filtering through for just cream cheese wontons is not as easy as you'd think, apparently reviews for just that are not too popular but here I am! Ready to review the best wontons. These were delicious! Just enough crab, not too much cream cheese, fried a bit darker with the perfect crunch I didn't know I was missing. And can we talk about the shape and size?! These wontons were just a bit more rectangle and perfect for dipping! So satisfying. I ordered some potstickers and shrimp spring rolls and those were also delicious. More potstickers than i was expecting actually and they also had the perfect crunch. For just having ordered appetizers I can confidently say Thai Lime Leaf has an excellent appetizer menu and if it's any indication of the rest of the food then I will surely be back to try more! read more

When the food came out, it looked good but the taste of the Red curry with chicken was awful. It tasted like soap. I told the waiter but she just told me no that it wasn't true and maybe it was the coconut milk. I don't think it was and didn't even get a price reduction for the meal he didn't even eat either. He did eat the side of white rice (which cost extra) but not the entree because it tasted like cleaning chemical. My husband and I ended up sharing my meal which was the Thai fried rice with beef. That tasted ok but we both kind of feel sick now. We are really disappointed especially since the price point was pricey. Won't be back. read more

While on a short getaway in Everett, I was looking for a place for Thai food. Yelp reviews were favorable for Thai Lime Leaf, so off we went, in cold rainy weather. Thai Lime Leaf was the perfect antidote for this weather and empty stomachs! We found it to be warm, welcoming, with attentive and friendly staff and awesome food. First of all, Thai Lime Leaf (TLL from now on:) is in a small shopping area, and it is easy to drive right past it. Inside, it was warm, cozy, quiet with great smells coming from the kitchen. Music was not too loud or obtrusive. Everything was super clean, no clutter. Our server David (whose family owns and runs TLL), was cheerful, engaging and attentive. I ordered the Thai Basil with Tofu, for $14.49, with "heat" level of 2.(you'll be asked how hot you'd like your food). The dish was just wonderful! Vegetables crisp-tender and tasted so fresh! The tofu had the most wonderful consistency; firm, not rubbery at all. Good size portion, and spicy! A "2" was plenty hot for me. My friend ordered the Vegetable Delight with tofu, also for $14.49 and his was equally delicious. He also commented on the freshness of the vegetables. We both shared white rice, cooked to perfection and soaked up the sauce from our food. Yum! Perhaps the best part of our visit to TLL was David, our server. When we complimented him on the food, we were told that all the vegetables are fresh, and they use a special brand of tofu with a particular way of preparation. He delighted us with information about his family and how many of them participate in running TLL. We could tell how genuinely proud he was of his family and their quality of food they serve. Bathroom was clean and easily accessed if mobility is impaired and wheelchair or walker required. Likewise, the restaurant is easy to navigate if mobility is an issue. We really did not want to leave:) In the car, we both commented on the dare I say 'spiritual' nature of our dinner and experience at TLL. While we don't live in Washington, we do look forward to returning some day. read more

It's a pretty fierce competition for the official title of Best Thai Place Around in these parts, but Lime Leaf has knocked everyone else down a notch. This is now officially the best spot for Thai around up here. It's a little strip mall unit in the busier part of Silver Lake. They've kept the decorations simple but very nice-looking. They greet you right away and you're all set up with a 6-page menu full of all the familiar Thai dishes plus many that don't show up everywhere else. We ordered chive cakes, which had excellent flavor and really interesting, satisfying texture. The dipping sauce made them incredible. The fresh rolls came out looking great, with very fresh vegetable garnish artfully cut. The peanut sauce smelled good even from an arm's length away, and the extra peppers and sambal light up both the appetizers (along with all the entrees). We went family style with spicy eggplant, which was not spicy but cooked perfectly soft, chewy, and full of flavor. The yellow curry had beautiful mild notes, and lots of crunchy shrimp. The turmeric noodle was the star of the show. Sometimes this dish shows up with a heavy seasoning hand and it can get dry at a lot of places. TLL absolutely nails it, with balanced flavors in a yellow sauce clinging lightly to tons of crunchy vegetables and delicious tofu. The Thai iced coffee was also delicious, showing clear roasty and smoky coffee notes under all the sweet cream. Service was friendly and chatty throughout, and tables even kinda talked to each other a bit. It's a neighborhood type place without a doubt. I don't know how much it all ran, since my sister treated us. But all the menu prices are reasonable, and we almost ordered delivery from here for dinner a few hours later. read more

We topped it off with the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. The flavor was great. If anything, we wish that the coconut cream topping for the mango and rice was creamier. The portions were very generous. Our server, I believe his name was David, was very professional & friendly and made our experience very enjoyable. His knowledge on the dishes and descriptions of different entrees almost had us ordering everything on the menu. I placed a phone order for Pad kee mao with tofu, no bell peppers, and tomato, 4 stars. The owner picked up the call and asked if I would like to make it vegetarian/vegan as I ordered the dish with tofu. Honestly, I prefer vegetarian meals and this was surprising that the restaurant itself offered those options. I went with the vegan option (no egg/oyster/fish sauce). The owner also specified that they prepare dishes with alternate sauces for vegan/vegetarian people. I am so happy to see such customization offered by restaurants that I have not seen anywhere before in this area. The food was good. The heat was up to the mark as it was 4 stars.
