I ordered a lunch combo that included entrée, white rice and pad Thai, chicken and extra tofu selections, highest level of star-heat offered. The side of rice was mush, obviously too much water added in the rice cooker. ZERO spice in the pad thai, which had abnormally skinny rice noodles, rice vermicelli-width like you'd find in a fresh roll, and was just a solid block of glop because it was all over cooked. Entrée was a bit spicy but not to the level I thought I ordered and definitely not a well balanced harmony of Thai essentials: sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter. You would be shocked if you looked at my delivery history to see that this place is not only my most ordered from but at times is the ONLY place I order from over the span of a few months. I don't order frequently, but every single time I order from them, the food hits. I recently got a chance to actually dine in, so this is my review for our dine-in experience (but just know that the food taste and quality is equal for all delivery orders). I brought a friend here and she agreed that this place is phenomenal! My go-to is the crispy garlic chicken, and we also got a classic pad thai with chicken, and spring rolls. The staff were all very friendly and kind, and service was quick. The food was delicious as always - I typically order a 4-star/max spice level, but for our dine-in we got 2 stars, and honestly it doesn't make a huge difference in my opinion. Just ordered some take out from this place and I'm pleasantly surprised. I ordered some Pad Thai, Panang, Thai iced tea, and mango and sticky rice. The pad Thai was good, I ordered it as a 2 star and it wasn't too spicy (which is good for me). I always get nervous 2 stars is gonna be spicy. I will say though, I've noticed the stars definitely can vary. I also ordered a 2 stars for the Panang curry and my mouth is on fire. So i'd definitely say go down a star for things that are traditionally spicy like the Panang or Tom Yum soup. I'd definitely say overall that the food is better than a lot of other Thai restaurants I've tried. I'd put it high than average. Portions for the food were. Good, but I do feel like they were a little skimpy on the meats. My Pad Thai had maybe like 7-8 slices of chicken and my Panang seems to be 3/4 curry sauce and like 1/4 of beef with a sprinkle of bell peppers. So i'd say definitely not great if you're a huge meat eater or anything. Personally, I don't eat that much meat so it was good for me. The portions on the mango sticky rice were the best out of the 3. They really put a ton of mango in the dish which made me happy because usually I feel like Thai restaurants are likely to be skimpy on the mango as it's so seasonal dependent. Also mangos aren't cheap. Overall I really liked the food at this place and it all tastes pretty good. We got pad see ew, pad thai (both with tofu), spicy basil eggplant, red curry with chicken, green curry with seafood, their pineapple curry fried rice, and an additional side of garlic rice. This is an outstanding Thai Restaurant. I ordered the Panang Curry and Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). I Panang Curry was superb. I ordered spicy, but this did not detract from the amazing flavor, and the level of spice was not overbearing and added to the excellent execution of the dish. The Drunken Noodles were also very good, I just wish the dish had more noodles and less meat, since noodles are the foundation to this dish. She was rude, cold and acted like she didn't want to be there. Didn't really greet us, say you're welcome after being told thank you, and all around just disinterested. But back to the food. This is a wonderful Thai hut restaurant, I would say that it's location, it's size, and it's size of sign outside isn't exactly helping it get known, but I do highly highly recommend giving the Spot a chance. I am pretty amazed at the flavor to size quantity ratio. Sometimes the Thai food is a little bit cheaper, it's not as tasty. But this spot has great prices and delivers on the food quantity and quality! I am so happy that I stopped by. I went with about 7 to 8 friends of mine, we ordered family style, and we had a great time. I would say that all in all we ordered pretty much a little bit of everything from noodles, to curry, to rice and in between! Friendly staff, quick pick up, and hard working kitchen. There is currently no in-person dining due to covid. You can call or order on their website and pay when you come in. Ordering on their website was quick and easy and you don't have to register to do it. Pad Thai was good but lacked a wedge of lime and a certain umami factor. The pineapple curry fried rice was savory and plentiful but I was 3/4 of the way through my portion when I realized I hadn't eaten one pineapple. In this case, it lacked the sweetness I was expecting. Finally, I tried a bit of the ARTH soup and was disappointed in the taste. I think it lacked salt. Based on how busy they were, this joint is obviously a neighborhood fave. If I'm in the area I would definitely want to support them and try again. But another big strike is that they didn't have any dessert. They do have Thai iced tea but it was too late in the day for a caffeine fix. read more

The phad Thai was unlike any I have ever had (I've probably eaten at 50+ Thai restaurants in several different styles/ regions) in that the noodles were quite skinny and more stringy than your classic rice noodle.
