I come here a lot because its close to my gym and I love it. There is another thai place literally right across the street called Thai Rama but it does not even compare with ambiance, prices, and quality! 1. Always have Lunch and dinner Specials! 7.95 you can get a curry, noodle, or traditional thai dish that comes with side of rice, wonton, egg roll, and soup! Dinner is 12.95 but comes with all that plus a salad and glass of wine. 2. Service is SO good here. They are SO nice and go the extra mile to help you box your food and refill your water without asking. They have a whole vegetarian menu Which includes dishes like spicy eggplant., baby corn & mushroom, garlic and green chili tofu, ect. They can also make ANY dish vegetarian by replacing meat with Tofu. My favorite is the Spicy green curry and instead of a meat add eggplant and tofu. They ask you on a scale of 1-10 how spicy you want it. I get the number 10 spiciest - Its not that spicy! It could be spicier but I really like it!!! They also bring you a some little jars of different chilis you can add to make it hotter. Mango Sticky Rice dessert is So amazing!!!! 6.95 Coconut Ice cream dessert is so good too! 2.95 read more

The food is amazing here! The best dish is Crispy Duck- you need to request extra crispy so it won't be fatty. Also, the garlic pork is really good. read more

Some of the best Thai food in the area. Always tastes fresh. Easy and pretty fast takeout experience from any food ordering app.

This place is good for lunch or dinners My favorite is pad see ew Definitely I'll be back for sure read more

Honestly it sucks that this place is the nearest Thai place to where I live BUT be absolutely warned. Their customer service is absolutely ATROCIOUS! The sad part is, their food isn't THAT bad! If you are going during the weekday or weekend doesn't matter, expect to wait 10 min to be seated (when it is empty) and another 10 min just for water and ANOTHER 20-30 for food. They prioritize to-go orders so I recommend to do that so you don't wait in their horrible service. I understand they get busy BUT their service skills truly show when it is EMPTY, giving them no excuse serving customers WATER 10-20 min AFTER getting seated. Shows no sense of urgency or awareness. read more

Went to Thai Basil last night with my wife. She was very disappointed. She's not a huge fan of most ethnic-based foods, but was impressed with a Thai restaurant we visited in Oakland, CA, Farmhouse Kitchen. We have been trying to find a Thai restaurant she likes closer to home, without much success. I had the Angel Wings and Gang Panang. The Angel Wings were great and the Gang Panang was also good. My wife's dish of Cashew Nut with Chicken was not to her liking. She did not like the spices or the lack of some white-meat chicken in the dish. She would have also liked more vegetables mixed in with her food selection. The brown rice had a lot of oil in it, which was not like the drier, fluffier style she preferred. Perhaps more of a description of the food on the menu would have helped her make a better choice. read more

A stranger had recommended this place to us. I had the crying tiger lunch special...probably the worst crying tiger I've ever had. It was dry and flavorless. Service was okay. My fiance had the chicken pad thai that was just alright. The food is cheap but I I will not come back here. read more

I been reading other fellow yelpers about this establishment and wanted to share my singular experience with Thai Basil. First of all, there are other thai restaurants that far exceed Thai Basil. What you get from Thai Basil is quantity over quality. If you are looking for authentic thai food, I would recommend other places but if you are looking for a quick fix for your thai craving on a budget, this place is for you. Their lunch special is wallet friendly. Food: B Service: B Overall: B read more

I love Thai food so I'm always up for trying new Thai places! The dinner special is pretty good deal! In addition to the main dish, it comes with rice (choice of steamed, brown or fried rice), soup or salad, complimentary drink, and complimentary dessert. The portion size is sufficient. I ordered the mixed veggies with chicken dinner special and was delicious. It has a nice presentation too. The complimentary dessert is sticky rice. While I didn't try it, my friend thought it was disappointing. It's salty! read more

This is my go to place for Thai food. Has delicious ground pork and mint stir fry and roast duck! Curries are well flavored and aren't watered down. Pad see ew is always trusty, but the other dishes outside the standard pad Thai and see ew are what separate a location for me to come back! read more

This was my first time here. as a matter of fact, i am sitting at the table at the restaurant as i type this. i am able to do this because my party of 22 people has been waiting for a bit over an hour for the food for some of us. Our group got split into 2 tables and one got served significantly before the other. I happened to be on the 2nd table. Everyone in the first table is done and i finally got my food about 65 minutes after i ordered it. i had to ask the waiter, who has been very friendly, to wipe our table because we were able to run the side of the straws and succesfully pick up dirt from it. I dont think i will be back with a large group. but i am willing to give them a second chance... may be..... check my picture of the straw read more

Came through clutch on Mother's Day. Every dish was super delicious and after over ordering it also made for great left overs.

We order from here 1-2x a month to-go and the restaurant is always full when we come by to pick up the food at dinner time. Their food is delicious, we haven't been disappointed with any of their dishes we've tried and they have a good selection of dishes to choose from. I highly recommend this place and our family will continue to grab dinner from here on a monthly basis to get our Thai food fix. We also love the mango with sticky rice dessert when it's in season! read more

We went here on a busy night and they only had one server running around. Which isn't a huge deal but eating spicy food and only having access to a single cup of water becomes a bit problematic. Food was alright. read more

Came in yesterday for a weekday lunch at around 11:45am with some coworkers, where there were plenty of seating. I ended up ordering their pineapple curry (with a level 6 spicy) from their Lunch Special menu. The portions are a little small, in my opinion, but it is still considered a good deal since the meal comes with the curry, rice, fried wonton skin and wonton with some sauce, and a cup of soup... all for $8.95. Customer service from the wait staff was good and the wait time for the food wasn't too bad. They were also able to split the bill evenly between four credit cards when it came down to the check, which I greatly appreciated. Quick tip, consider coming a little earlier than 12pm since by the time we left, the place was so packed and a few people were already waiting for tables to be cleared to be seated. Would come back again to try the other dishes! read more

Ordered Thai Basil (Fullerton) for dinner this week. It's been a few months and wanted to show support. OMG the food was fantastic. I ordered direct w/Restaurant website not through outside delivery service. The web menu had so many selections, it was simple to navigate. We picked up ourselves. The food was ready when we arrived and was handed to us. So easy and quick. Take out these days I am finding some places have risen to the occasion and this is one of them. The containers were good sized and secure with no mess or leaks. Upgraded containers since last I ordered takeout. Kudos! I ordered the pineapple curry w chicken spicy 7 and it was just the right heat! Hot but not a distraction to the flavors. We also ordered combination fried rice, pad see ew beef and a vegan order of tofu pad Thai! Adding Thai Basil to my weekly go to list! Wish I had thought to take a picture! First time trying this place near CSUF and the food is pretty tasty. Very fresh bc everything is made to order so it takes a little while to get your food but it's all steaming hot when you get it so it's worth it! We ordered shrimp pad Thai, pad see ew (idk how to spell it oops), tom yum soup (my FAVE), and yellow chicken curry. Food was really good and fresh. Service was good too, no complaints about that. Their waiting area is soo small so everyone's kinda just standing there waiting and they don't exactly give you wait time. It's like "a little while". Only concern I had was one of the workers who was constantly eating in the kitchen while serving food and touching his nose then serving food.. he's the only one I saw who's hygiene was questionable bc their kitchen is missing a sliding door so we were able to see him clearly.. luckily for us he didn't serve us but he served others and if he served us I probably wouldn't eat my food to be honest. But overall I'd visit this place again but make sure that dude doesn't serve your food! read more

Love, love, LOOOVE this place. Seriously, always recommending this place to everyone I know. Pre pandemic coworkers and I would have lunch here, brought my grandparents & parents who all loved it, & even ordered it for my sons birthday (that's how much we love it). Pricing is great and you get a lot for your meals. Our go to is pad Thai & the angel wings. I've also tried their spring rolls & they're just amazing. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. read more

I wanted to try a thai restaurant since i moved to the area. I tried other thai places and they have been a big letdown. I was excited because i really wanted to eat some delicious thai food...... and i got this.. just a big disappointment. I blame myself for coming here since i checked the Google review instead of the review rating on here. This thai restaurant overall is just "ok" the pineapple curry seemed watered down and flavorless. Also, they supposedly had a spicy level option 1-10. I ordered an 8. Their spicy level rating is RIDICULOUS. It seemed like a 3 rather than an 8. I also had the vegetable egg rolls. They were overcooked and flavorless. The sweet and sour dipping sauce for the egg rolls tasted really off. Like it was really really old. It was just off. The pad thai I have to say was alright. The best from what they had was the brown rice side. The service was ok. The older lady with the short hair and glasses seemed friendlier than the other older lady working there. She just seemed annoyed and impatient. I won't be coming here again. And honestly idk why people give a high review on here.... i dont think they have tasted authentic thai food. read more

Ordered the Thom Kha soup, Pad Thai, and green curry. Everything lacked flavor and was extremely bland. Huge disappointment.

This is probably my favorite Thai restaurant in this area. Being a college student, I eat out wayyy too much so I know how it feels to pay a sum of money for some chummy food. My typical go-to dishes: Chicken pad Thai - perfect amount of chicken, bean sprouts, & peanut flavoring. This dish is not too overly sweet compared to other places. Chicken pad see ew - my favorite! Just the right amount of sauce. Chicken pa kee mao - a little more on the oily side so stay away if consumption of oil makes you nauseas. ALSO, be careful with the spice level!!! Got me a 6 out of 10 and I was sweating! Chicken satay - SO bomb! This dish also comes with pickled cucumbers to mellow out the peanut sauce read more

I love this place and usually get take out. The only caveat is that they are not geared towards children at all. In fact, the girl serving us seemed bothered that she had us. I still give them 5 stars because the food is awesome. Just disappointed that they don't seem to cater to children. read more

Placed an order on the Yelp app at 6:55pm. The Yelp app said order should be ready by 7:21pm. I got to this restaurant at 7:15 expecting my food to be ready in 10 minutes just to give them some leeway but nope it didn't happen. I watched at least 5 other orders get picked up before me. The lady said it's coming and that was still 10-15 minutes later. So it took 50 minutes to get my order. So if I was actually planning on sitting in the restaurant to eat, I would have to wait 50 minutes to get my food. That's ridiculous!!! Someone obviously dropped the ball and never placed my order and they didn't even offer to appease me with at least a drink or some fried rice. I asked what took so long and they said my BBQ chicken takes time...wtf!!! I've eaten enough BBQ chicken to know that's not true. Just own up to your mistake instead of making stuff up and apologize. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Here's a tip:Google "service recovery" if you want to keep your customers. SMH read more

Excellent Thai food! They even have some Chinese food but no yellow curry chicken Chinese food unfortunately!

My husband and I tried this place twice and it's not to bad. I had spring rolls, Pad Thai, & Tom yum soup which I usually have a spot in Whittier but this was pretty good. This is a bit out of our way but it's worth it. read more

I have been a regular at this restaurant for years, and this was my go-to place whenever I was craving Thai food. However, the quality of the dishes and the portion sizes decreased tremendously during COVID-19. For example, my usual order (pad-see-ew) was always delicious; however, it became so much more oily, salty, and spicy over the days. I always order spicy level 4, but it is always inconsistent. Meat is too chewy. I will not be coming back here anytime soon. read more

We LOVE this place. All the curry bases are vegan. If you ask, pretty much everything can be made without animal products. we thoroughly enjoy the papaya salad, pretty much all the curries, (for sure the masaman, green, pineapple (red) and the 'curry and green beans' (pad prik king).. all solid choices, as are the noodle dishes, pad thai, pad see you, and pad kee mao.. To add to the great food, this place seems to be women-run and owned. the wait staff here are always so nice and always remember you and your food preferences. the cooks are my heroes.. to know what they know would be something indeed! I usually try to thank them on my way out. Probably our favorite restaurant in Fullerton. read more

I took my twin 3 year boys to eat here for lunch this afternoon. The food was really good. I never ate this dish before. It was brown rice and very spicy chicken and veggies over it. The waitress asked me on a scale of 1 to 10 how spicy I wanted it. I told her an 8. Most of the time they never make it really spicy no matter what number you tell them. But this time, it was really spicy and I really liked it. I still prefer white over brown rice, but I wanted to try something different. I only have 2 complaints. The rice was black rice not brown rice as they advertised on the menu. And the waitress had no personality at all. Just so you know. I used to have a company in Bangkok and my twins are half Thai, so we know what real Thai food is and are used to excellent service. It's too bad because I would have given this place 5 stars if the waitress was nice. It is a shame how Thai people change when they come to the U.S. :-( read more

Oh how this place brings back memories of my college days. Lived nearby, yet I practically always lived here! Used to be a regular here, in fact so much that I got to know the owner and her family. Super sweet lady! This was definitely my favorite and the best Thai restaurant in the city. Some of my all time favorites here include, the Thai beef salad, spicy shrimp fried rice and catfish curry. I can't believe it's been years since I've been here...I really owe a trip back the next time I'm in Cali! read more

This place used to be my favorite. The quality of the food has gone down tremendously. Orange chicken hardly has chicken. It's like a big piece of orange candy. So crazy. Before it was amazing chunks of chicken. This place makes too much money and the prices aren't cheap for them to be this stingy. This is what makes restaurants fail. read more

OkAy their tofu is cooked so much better now. And good food when I don't want to go far.

This place seriously one of the BEST Thai Restaurant in OC. They are always super clean and the employees are consistently friendly. We literally use to come here twice a Week, but we haven't came for awhile due to my new work schedule. Now that my work schedule is in order, we'll be back more often again. The price are also super decent. They have the tastiest Orange Chicken any Asian restaurant has ever served. Doesn't matter if it's Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, etc. Literally the BEST Orange Chicken of any Asian restaurant. Some of my other favorite dishes are: Pad Se Ew, Spicy noodles, Well done Chicken Mint Leaves with added snow peas (must order this way to enjoy it best), beef noodle soup with the large flat noodles (must mention flat noodle), of course the Orange Chicken, Pork Fried rice with Chinese brocollis and Beef Panang. For appetizers, they have the Best Fried Shrimps and vegetables. For desserts, their coconut ice cream with sticky rice. Tips: They can get pretty busy during lunch and dinner, must be patience. Food was excellent, this is our new favorite Thai restaurant, they were covid friendly ! Great place you must try it !

This is the closest decent (authentic) Thai for the Brea/Fullerton area. It can get really packed here weekends during dinner, so be prepared to wait. I order takeout here through Grubhub a lot, and sometimes they're completely overwhelmed, one time I had to wait an hour over the specified pickup time- that sucked. Pad thai, pad see ew, fried rice, satay, angel wings are part of our usual orders, they're all good. The BBQ ribs and chicken are done differently here, don't expect Original Thai BBQ style. The ribs are good, but they are VERY saucy and they put in pineapple chunks, which isn't a hit with everyone. 3.5 stars for the food, +.5 star for the service (most of the time) and for being in a somewhat convenient location for us. read more
