First time here, it was a small family owned Thai restaurant. Very quaint, quiet, spacious on the inside. Greeted right away by a very nice woman. Ordered a couple water and a Thai ice tea which was very tasty. My wife order the sweet and sour chicken and I got the cashew nut. The crunch on the sweet and sour was great, perfectly cooked and i loved the crunch. The serving was above average, could've fed both of us but she was hungry. The cashew nut I ordered with tofu. I love me some.cashews and most places skimp on the cashews but not this place, so.many cashews I left some, there were plenty and I was pleasantly surprised. Neither meal was spicey. The only thing I wish it that they had prices on the menu The food came out very quickly and was nice and hot. The woman waiting on us checked on us several times, very attentive. This place is located off Temple and 7th in a little strip mall. It was empty when.l we arrived at 5:45 but as we left it was getting booked. Give it a try. read more

How horribly disgusting is it to order food during your lunch hour and receive it like this ?! Coworker took this back and all they had to say was sorry ?! How about you offer a refund so I can go get a meal with out a ROACH !! I'm sure this isn't the first time this has happened or will continue to happen. This place needs a health inspector visit but sadly that probably won't even fix the issue . Please be ware and fully inspect your food when and if you order from this place . read more

The s combo bbq chicken and ribs with shrimp fried rice is excellent. The service is pretty good and when you place an order it is done on time. The location is a bit tricky like a hole in the wall type of place and it's next to the liquor store. read more

Really great Thai food at a reasonable price. Shrimp pad thai that is made well, the best in socal. It had everything you would want + more. 5 pcs of medium sized shrimp. The add-ons were peanuts, carrots, bean sprouts. They use shallots or red onions in lieu of onions to create more flavor. The noodles are done well and the sauce is just perfect (some places it is too sweet or soupy). This was perfect! LOVED IT!!! Ordered the spicy basil chicken. It had a ton of wonderful veggies. Loved it. Came with rice that was made well. Their pickled peppers were spot on delish! Their thai iced tea is a classic, and great flavor. I will be back! read more

I just moved nearby recently and wanted to get take out and try their pineapple fried rice. I ordered thru their website and received confirmation after awhile and it was quick and ready to be picked up when they said it was! It was good, lots of real fresh pineapple, cashews, chicken, tasty rice, and a little more onion than I like, but still good. Just 3 shrimps, but I don't really mind that much if they keep the prices lower and don't skimp on the rest of the ingredients! I'll def order here again! read more

I've been a fan of this restaurant for many years and my trip back to the LBC wouldn't be complete without a visit here! I stopped in for lunch before my flight back to Hawaii. I have my favorite items I like to order here but I decided to go with chicken pad Thai and a side order of the original BBQ chicken! Everything was as delicious as I remembered! Just stopped here as it is very close to my house and I was told it was decent. Asked the lady what she recommended and she said the curry. So I ordered the yellow chicken curry and a large thai iced tea and she said it would be 10 minutes. As I'm waiting, they were microwaving shrimp and other things that really just demoted the quality of the food I was about to consume. 25 minutes later, she handed me my thai iced tea, 85% full, and for $4.50, I'd expect that shit to be full. However no worries, if the food is good no big deal. Handed me the food and a small rice. Took it home and tried it and it was mediocre at best. Bland and tasted just honestly straight out of a can.... I will be back to try their BBQ as that is in their name and I should of stuck with that I think, or hope... curry, 1.5 stars, thai iced tea, 3.5 stars... We will see what the next visit brings read more

Thai food is one of my favorite foods so whenever I find out there's a place I haven't tried, I'm eager to do so. I saw this place while driving and decided to give it a try. Inside the restaurant, it is pretty roomy, plenty of seats, clean and good lighting. It's exactly how you expect it to look like. I wanted to try something I never tried before but took a calculated risk and just ordered my usual Pad Thai or Pad See-Ew with beef. The price was how I imagined to be; like nine dollars. I ordered the Pad See-Ew with beef and it arrived with in 10 minutes of waiting. The plate looked since I was starving. First bite thoughts: the pad see-ew tasted great, not too greasy or under greased, the vegetables were well done also there was enough seasoning to make it taste bomb, but not too much where you can't even taste the vegetable anymore. The beef could be improved however. Don't get me wrong it still tastes great but if the beef was less dry and chewy I think that would've been perfect. Portion size, it satisfied me but I could have ate a bit more; I think if the portion was a bit bigger that would have hit the spot . I don't know maybe it's a good portion for some people but I normally have a big appetite. I really liked how the waitress would come by our table very frequently to check up on us and ask f we need anything like water, sides etc... it's nice not having to call the waitress often. Overall, this Thai place is pretty solid and I would stop by again when in the area. read more

Not one to leave reviews but OMG BEST PAD SEE EW I'VE EVER HAD. The bbq flavor just hits like no other Thai food I've ever had. Super generous portions, crunchy broccoli and a ton of grilled steak! A couple things to know before you go: parking isn't great, and the restaurant gets busy. We showed up around 5:00 p.m. and only waited about 20 minutes, but I could see larger parties having a much longer wait. My go-to dish is the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant with chicken. It's a Thai basil stir-fry with eggplant, onion, and Thai chilis, and I absolutely love it. We also ordered the mussel curry, which my friend picked, and it completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but it was excellent. The standout, though, was the Khao Soi Noodle Soup with sliced rib-eye beef. Somehow I'd never ordered the dish they're most famous for, and now I understand why. It absolutely lived up to the hype. The broth with the rib-eye was incredible and is something I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My biggest criticism is that the rice portions feel smaller than they used to. With how much delicious curry and sauce you get, I found myself wishing there was just a little more rice to soak everything up. I also noticed that the green beans in the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant are very al dente. Personally, I'd prefer if they were blanched just a bit so they were slightly more tender. If the goal is to add texture, I'd almost rather see crunch come from something like cashews instead--but that's just my preference. For dessert, we had the mango sticky rice and another dessert with sweet milk dumplings and red beans. Both were fantastic and a great way to end the meal. Vibes of the restaurant are great. It's a small venue, but they work quickly, and a staff was very welcoming. Overall, Chiang Rai continues to be my favorite Thai spot in Southern California. If it's your first visit, the Khao Soi with sliced rib-eye is absolutely the dish I'd tell you to order.

The only request from anybody was for Pad Thai, the most common dish at all Thai restaurants. I GPS my way over and order the food. I was Khao Soy on the menu and I don't see that at too many Thai places that I've been to, so I got an order of that with chicken. Of course, an order of Pad Thai, 2 orders since I have 5 hungry people to feed. Also, I ordered the Thai coconut soup, I think it's called Tom Kha with chicken. One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. A couple things to know before you go: parking isn't great, and the restaurant gets busy. We showed up around 5:00 p.m. and only waited about 20 minutes, but I could see larger parties having a much longer wait. My go-to dish is the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant with chicken. It's a Thai basil stir-fry with eggplant, onion, and Thai chilis, and I absolutely love it. We also ordered the mussel curry, which my friend picked, and it completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but it was excellent. The standout, though, was the Khao Soi Noodle Soup with sliced rib-eye beef. Somehow I'd never ordered the dish they're most famous for, and now I understand why. It absolutely lived up to the hype. The broth with the rib-eye was incredible and is something I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My biggest criticism is that the rice portions feel smaller than they used to. With how much delicious curry and sauce you get, I found myself wishing there was just a little more rice to soak everything up. I also noticed that the green beans in the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant are very al dente. Personally, I'd prefer if they were blanched just a bit so they were slightly more tender. If the goal is to add texture, I'd almost rather see crunch come from something like cashews instead--but that's just my preference. For dessert, we had the mango sticky rice and another dessert with sweet milk dumplings and red beans. Both were fantastic and a great way to end the meal. Vibes of the restaurant are great. It's a small venue, but they work quickly, and a staff was very welcoming. Overall, Chiang Rai continues to be my favorite Thai spot in Southern California. If it's your first visit, the Khao Soi with sliced rib-eye is absolutely the dish I'd tell you to order.

(This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. I left hungry and sadly disappointed.

GENERIC. I visited this place last week to check it out. I found it by accident the week before when I was passing by. I've been to many Original Thai BBQ and so far my gold standard is the one owned by a friend, Chad (in Chino Hills). As expected I ordered my usual S6, Angel Wings Dinner. I've had this dish so many times I know which Original Thai BBQ fails to deliver. The service was great. The server was very friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was very generic. They do use batter to coat the chicken wings instead of the other Original Thai BBQ that breads them but they seem not to know how to make them crispy. Chad and his brothers seems to know the trick, fresh oil maybe? This place surely did not deliver. Another point that this place did not deliver is the shrimp on the shrimp fried rice ... they were small and not fresh. I love seafood and I know if this thing was swimming or chilling in the freezer for a while. It is really a good thing I did not order the shrimp pad thai, which Chad is also my gold standard. Anyway, for a quick bite this place is good enough to satisfy your Thai cravings. It delivers like P.F. Changs deliver on the Chinese side of things. Parking ... at your own risk. The hubs and I were pretty disappointed. Their prices are competitive with other Thai joints in the area but the value is not--pretty inexcusable portions atop iceberg lettuce for volume. While we were there the cops showed up to the parking lot and arrested a guy selling crack sitting outside the restaurant at a table. That was the best part of the meal for sure. The best choice I recommend is lunch special which comes with a choice of two chicken and two beef kabobs along with peanut sauce and a side of rice and salad. The price is around $6.50. Yes, we've eaten here a lot and have introduced it to a number of people! The service is very fast at Elephant Thai, and the menu has switched to digital since the pandemic. On the plus side, they have also not gotten rid of their healthcare worker discount (10%)! The parking lot is tiny, but there is local street parking available. Very casual place inside but there were plenty of people inside eating and the taste of the noodles tells me this is one of those places you go for the food and not necessarily the ambience. My mom always took me to all these non fancy places to eat but the food was always amazing. It was packaged well and to the brim! Definitely will have leftovers! The food came out quickly after I ordered it so I had a minimal wait. I'll come by again for some other Thai food!

They have a small parking lot with a drive thru. They have nice bench seating inside and about six or seven tables total in an L shape dining room. You can order with someone or you can use a kiosk to place your order. They have a rewards program so if you eat from here enough it could pay off. It was an easy process and I took a seat to wait things out. It got busy after I had walked in and orders were flying in and out. My partner and I got the chicken/steak teriyaki plate that came with a salad, slice of cucumber and thousand island dressing(they have ranch and Italian) the surprise was the grilled jalapeño that came with the plate. Mine was spiciest of the two. I really enjoyed the meat, but my favorite was the steak. The sauce that came with it was good and the rice was terrific. The price for it was reasonable so I would definitely make this my go-to spot for Teriyaki. They do make burritos, wraps and burgers so might want to try those one day but happy that my experience at this new spot was excellent.
