Tried two dishes, one with pork and one with seafood. The seafood was undercooked, much of it was tough and had awful textures. But worse was the sugar content of the sauce. It was so sugary it was basically inedible. I wasn't warned about the sugar content beforehand, and I couldn't even eat the seafood dish. The dish was completely soaked in this awful concoction and laid in a giant pool of it. I wouldn't be surprised if it pushed 2000 calories on its own. The pork was similarly awful. The meat was likely precooked and frozen, the texture was alright but it must have been marinated in a terribly sugary sauce because it was WAY too sweet. The rice that came with every meal was likely pre-frozen as it was pretty tough and I've made better rice at home many times. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone until they cut back on the ridiculous amounts of sugar in their food. It's basically fast food dessert disguised as Thai food. Maybe that's the point of an Americanized Thai restaurant in California, but I'll never eat there again. read more

I've been here before, as well as the other location in Cerritos many times. After a conversation about their stellar Pork Ribs (S-2), I had those bad boys on my mind for weeks. Sure, the ambience may not be as swanky as the Cerritos location, but their food is definitely on par. Seriously, just try their Pork Ribs. It is a dish I believe everyone should try once in a Lifetime. Their Pad See Ew is also another dish you shouldn't miss; however, they do have their off days when making it. One problem I had was the server's response when I asked for more sauce, to which she responded, "yeah, you have the sauce." The food here is not even mediocre. It looks good sure. Smells good? Yes. Clean tables? Okay. But why then is it not as good as the Carson branch. I sort of had a huntch it wasn't going to be good when I looked at the fish tank and saw my favorite fish (blow fish) was dying. I'll give it a half star more just because the waiter was very attentive. Maybe also I should've known it wasn't going to be good when we pulled up and the parking lot was empty and we were the only ones in the place. This place is just okay, as far as delivery service goes. I think they have a new person working the phone lines who isn't as good as the previous guy. It takes a lot of time figuring out credit card details and addresses and such. Plus, there is a twenty dollar before tax minimum for credit cards. This turned out to be kind of a pain because I was at 18.00 before tax, 20.40 after tax, and I still had to beef up my order to use my credit card. Lame. Especially because I suspect there was some creative interpretation of that rule: the girl slipped and said 15 dollar minimum before she changed her mind. Double lame. Still, when I need quick delivery, this place is good and the food decent. So, for now, I give you three stars. read more

There's a Thai Original BBQ up in my hometown, GLENDAAAAAALE, and it never does me wrong. So I was pretty excited to find one so close to my apt. The waiter was a sweetheart. He unfortunately brought me an incorrect part of my order. I let it go as there's no need to throw away food. As we ate, I found a nice medium sized beetle in my food. Since I had already just about finished my meal, I let that go too. As I get to the end of the incorrect part of my order, an INSANELY LARGE hair was found in it. As we quietly and professionally informed them of the hair and asked for the item to officially be removed from the bill, and argument ensued. The manager REFUSED to issue and apology and replied verbatim, "I'll refund the drink, but I don't believe that hair is one of ours". At that point, we had HAD it and requested an apology. another refusal. The manager took the payment used, allegedly processed the refund, returned to our table and THREW the receipt and credit card to the incorrect owner of the credit. Now I'm disappointed at his actions and I call him back to tell him that his actions were EXTREMELY unprofessional and he was being rude for absolutely no reason. Now, he's yelling at the owner of the credit card, and causing a scene in front of myself and other patrons and vehemently refused to apologize for vermin and human biological refuse in our food. Came here one night wanting some thai food, but didn't want to drive terribly far as it's in my neighborhood. Luckily, they have a parking lot, so that is one plus. Going inside reminds me of a cheap diner or typical donut shop. The cheap seats are all plastic and uncomfortable. The place is also very cold, and even more so being that it's been like 48-55 degrees lately. Turn on the heat at least a bit, come on now. The tom kha gai was probably a 3 out of 5 for me. Not only have I had much better, but I can make it better too. The soup came out cold and the flame went out super quick too. The mushrooms didn't even fully cook... you know that taste and texture of uncooked mushrooms? Yep. The soup was also lacking a galanga flavor. But hey, I was hungry and am sometimes not too picky when I should be. So I ate it anyway. The red salmon curry wasnt bad. Maybe another 3/5 for this. The curry itself was ok, but I dont know what it was about the salmon. It didn't scream out fresh to me for some reason, but it wasnt terrible to the point that I couldn't eat it. That's the problem when you get a fish covered up by a strong curry, it's harder to decipher the actual quality of it. I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just one of them slow weeks or what not. I will come back again because they're seriously like a block away from where I live. I have made better at home with the pre-made spice packets... from the Vons grocery store Asian aisle! : ( The chicken was finely sliced and tender but other than some random spices and dagger-like bamboo shoots... There wasn't much flavor to be found. My chicken with noodle and mint was missing it's mint!!! (Please see photos) Okay, maybe there were about 5 shriveled sprigs in there... : (. Got the beef pad see ew and it's not bad overall, but I felt like it was a little too sweet and a little heavy on the sauce for my taste. My bf on the other hand said he really enjoyed it. We got a free Thai tea drink with yelp check in but your order has to be at least $15 in order to get it. The portions are filling and neither of us finished our plates we had to take it to go. After finishing, we both agreed that one was enough to fill both of us and usually he is a big eater. The pricing here is about average for Thai food but they do offer lunch specials as well but it's not a lot of options though. It was super hot inside because there was no AC, only a couple of ceiling fans. On the bright side they do free delivery within a 4 mile radius. There was a sign that said no outside food or drinks allowed but we walked in with Starbucks drinks in our hand because we didn't see the sign until we left the restaurant but the lady was nice and didn't say anything to us. Went here for lunch and ordered the Pad Thai w/ chicken and the Half bbq chicken. They were ok... The Pad Thai had a weird taste. It was probably the spice they used. I noticed they added some type of salty pickled vegetable in there. I liked the crunchiness of it but it didn't seem to go well with the pad thai. The combination of sweet and salty didn't do it for me. It wasn't bad, just different. The bbq chicken was very tender and juicy but the taste was a little off. I didn't like the marinade. It reminded me of Chinese herbal chicken soup, very mediciney...bleh! I expected more of a bbq flavor but was left unsatisfied. This food is absolutely delicious. I've had soups, beefs, and chicken. They serve your drinks with shaved ice instead of ice cubes. They do local delivery and dine in or to go orders. Been to this place first time with my friend and we ordered a soup that is spicy, a combination seafood that is spicy and each one of us get a bowl of rice to eat and share the meals. Was very delicious! Usually I like to order noodle to eat when I go out but this time I need change. Was I glad! The second time was with my sisters and the waitress was very friendly. Yes this time I ordered the noodle soup and I regret it lolz. The noodle had very little amount and I mistaken the bean sprout to be the noodle (kind of dump of me hehe). I was craving some soup when we went about a month ago, so I got their version of "pho" and my boyfriend got his vegetarian dish. He was looking at my soup with such longing. I have been coming to this restaurant for a while now and always order the BBQ Chicken with brown rice instead of shrimp fried rice and it also come with a side salad. There is nothing wrong with their shrimp fried rice, however i just prefer the brown rice which they charge extra for. But today (02.01.2015) I tried their Noodle Soup with thinly sliced beef (5.95) and have to say this was pretty good. It came with either thin or flat noodle that have bean sprout and the thinly slice meat which was full of garlic flavor. I wished it had more but for 5.95 it was a good. Usually like i said, i always stick with the BBQ chicken combo. It comes with two or three big pieces of chicken, huge amount of brown rice with a dipping sauce and a side salad. the BBQ chicken just falls off the bone. On the side note, each time I been here, its always pretty dead. Usually, there is one other table seated. I guess its good thing for me since its not busy, so there really never a wait. To add on, you would seat your self at a open table. Another thing is, service has always been great. The waitress is always attentive to us and nice. This place deserves more stars. Got takeout that consisted of shrimp tom yum soup, crab rangoons, and a beef salad. The tom yum was super good with plenty of large shrimp. I love crab rangoons and some restaurants don't put enough looove in them. These are probably my favorite crab rangoons. The sauce/dressing for the beef salad is super delicious. I could eat that on everything. The only downside was that it was a lot of beef and not enough salad, but some people would prefer that I guess. read more

Ordered from Uber Eats. My Tom yum noodle soup was horrible. A lot of noodles but the ground pork came in giant lumps instead of smaller pieces like ground pork should be in this soup. Shrimps were so over cooked they were like shrimp jerkey. The broth had NO lemon grass or galangal flavor or kefir lime leaves. It was super sweet with no sour and not enough savory so pretty much it was sweet but this is NOT the soup with coconut milk which is mildly sweet. I literally ate three bites and threw it out sadly. I couldn't eat it. It also took them almost one hour to have my one item order with two Thai ace teas made for pickup. The diver even had to wait a while. Some restaurants don't put as much effort in to their delivery orders bcz they don't get direct contacts w the customer Idk.
