TEXAS ROADHOUSE When friends asked if I wanted to join them at the Texas Roadhouse in Riverview for lunch, I was in. It's my go to place when I crave a steak cooked to perfection. I used the app on my phone to get on the wait list and when we arrived we were immediately seated. We were not disappointed, our drinks and their signature honey cinnamon buns and butter and their Cactus Blossom appetizer hit the spot as we waited for our main course. The three of us watched the staff participate in a birthday celebration for a young man in the booth next to us. They brought out a saddle which he mounted as all joined in singing happy birthday and cameras captured the moment. I noticed some great additions to the menu. The first thing that caught my eye was the dirty soda. Not really a dirty soda but new drink choices that are listed on the menu under that category. I won't give the flavors away but after ordering them we were hooked. We. Were still working on the Cactus Blossom when our meals arrived. No surprise that the steak was cooked to perfection. Another new item on the menu was the introduction of a list of 11 Entrees main course items at prices you would pay at a stop for roadside hamburgers. We have been going to Texas Roadhouse for years . However, seem like yesterday the food was off a little . I had three steak kabobs I ask red center slightly any red. We enjoy going to Texas Roadhouse as a family. There is a large enough menu that everyone can find something that they like. Last night was only okay, we ordered some of the normal dishes like your chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes with country gravy. Everything was way too Salty! A couple of us ordered the steak and they were tough. We also had one of our plates come out with only about 4 fries on it. The waitress had seen the plate and brought a basket of fries. The waitress was great; very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is usually on the louder side, but last night it was not it 's normal loud it was over the top loud to the point we felt like we could not even hear each other across the table. Pleasantly surprised. I have never been to any Texas Roadhouse. Another couple suggested we go. We sat at the Bar. Jeannie was awesome. She was so welcoming. A big part of any restaurant is the staff. She genuinely loves where she works. The sides were surprisingly great portions. The salad and homemade Italian was a great start. The Chili was hearty. I order to-go quite frequently. Love the steak kebabs with broccoli and either a loaded baked potato or mashed potatoes. If I'm not sure what to eat or need a quick meal, this is my go to spot. Ordering online is easy and pick up is convenient. Service is good as well. When ordering to go, I recommend you to check your order before you drive off. They will make it right before you leave if there is an issue. I do consistently have to verify all is correct based on some human error. Otherwise, recommend checking them out! Guys nite out and decided to go to the Roadhouse. My family and some of our friends have shyed away from going there the last couple of years due to the noise that seems ever present and louder each time you go. We ordered drinks and two pork chop dinners as well as a rib eye dinner all with sides. The food was good although served on a much smaller plate than normal which is kind of annoying, I guess they want it to look like it's genorus. Overall in my opinion the loudness is not the fault of the restaurant it's your choice. read more

Most of the times that I've visit this restaurant I have a great time. This was the exception. We where a large party of 12 people, and 2 waitress were helping us. Half of the table had an amazing waitress that brought the food on time and was alert to everyone. The other half of the party we needed to wait 15 minutes to get some bread, and other almost 30 to get our food. The food was good though, and the portions were great. Texas Roadhouse looks like the roadhouse if you've never been there you should go. Gabe is usually on the ball but tonight the service was off. I had to ask for plates for the rolls, I had to ask to take my order, I had to ask for sauce, ask for go boxes , ask for a drink refill. However, the people next to me got GREAT service. The received recommendations and he asked for their names and was very personable with them. The manager came out but at the point we were leaving and no sense in making it awkward. Ethan appeared to be in training and making sure he did not make eye contact. He also appeared to be lost. I asked him for assistance and he literally ignored me to make drinks. It's ok as far as steak restaurants go. The sirloin was cooked a little more than we would have liked and tough to chew. The fried pickles were too salty. Their loaded sweet potato is yummy, but when they ask you if you want it loaded what they are really saying is we will charge you extra for that. The waiter was ok. When we tried to check out at the kiosk it wasn't working and we couldn't find him to help. Then we looked around and a bunch of staff were hanging around up front. I always get their Fall off the bone Ribs, and the buttery soft fresh-baked bread is definitely my favorite! Big thanks to our waiter, Jonathan, who gave us excellent service. Have a great experience here. From the very first steps, which were using their website to get in the waitlist, everything went smoothly. When they texted us, we were ready to be seated immediately, and they did. Servers and staff were all friendly. Overall, the vibe that you would expect at Texas Roadhouse. Make sure you use their app to make reservation before you leave your home, the waiting list in their app gives you pretty good time frame of how long it will take to get sitting. I normally get the same meal, which is the roadkill. Staff is always friendly, you get your food pretty fast and always tasteful. Music played inside is a bit loud, making conversation a bit hard, but not a deal breaker. Could be a night thing. But I do recommend coming here once in a while for a steak. I decided to try Texas Roadhouse again after years of not going and because I was given a Veteran's Day coupon. I opted for the Sirloin steak, medium rare and although it was cooked properly, I had too many bites that were too chewy to swallow. It was likely just an abnormal piece of meat but non-the-less, not deserving of a high rating. Everything else was good, the salad, the Old Fashioned's. The fried pickles were a bit too salty for me. The restaurant is well maintained. Service was good and quite helpful but we did encounter a problem paying with the electronic kiosk and had to track down the waiter near the front of the restaurant. Overall, the bottom line price with tip, tax and $10 off coupon was still too high for me to return any time soon. read more

I'm so happy they finally put a Texas Roadhouse in riverview! Moving to this area from Tampa, we have noticed that there are not that many restaurants here in the area. The choices are very limited! Every time we come here we have a great experience! We normally don't go big with the appetizers, but w shave ordered the chili before. The chili is just okay in my opinion, it's very thick and not like a soup texture at all. For dinner, my son always orders the hot dog with French fries and he love it! This is a great local spot! Food and drinks are always on point. If you have a family of 4 the to-go family meals are he best. Especially if you do t want to wait for a table at dinner time. We have been here several times and most of our visits were pretty good. We prefer the to-go option at this location. We haven't ever had a bad server/waitress at this place. They are all kind and competent. The manger alway comes by the table to check how guests are doing which is quite nice. Of course don't forget the dances they do during your visit.
