My wife and I live 3 minutes away from here. We have been at this location many times and the food and the service have always been excellent. That seems to have changed. Tonight. Gave our entire order to our server. Waited 10-15 minutes until our salads came out. Wait for it. No bread No drinks. 1 minute after the salads come out , our steaks come out. I tell our server to get the manager. He comes over and has no idea how to handle this situation. He walks over and starts to remove our food and then he starts stumbling over an apology. We told him this was the worst service ever. Told him waited 15 minutes, no drinks no bread salad cones out first. Like wtf??? We eat our salad and finally get our drinks. After we are done with the salads, the manager comes over and says , is it ok to bring your meals now? I'm like yeah ya friggin idiot, I usually get the filet and I should have. The sirloin sucked. The potato was dry, Almost done with my meal and the server come over, can I get you another drink? If I had gotten my first one on time, yeah. But I'm almost done so no. She then comes back a couple minutes later and drops the check. So I guess we aren't having dessert. Then she comes back and tells us they took half off our meal. Yeah yeah. Damage already done. This was my first time ever at a LongHorn and we visited for a last minute birthday dinner. We were seated quickly and welcomed with a smile. Our server, Nicole was nice, funny and professional. She made recommendations, didn't rush us and also offered to walk us through the menu. The restaurant and dining area was clean and not loud at all. Seemed to be wheel chair accessible throughout. I've been several times over tithe last few years, and it has always been good. The food was hot, tasty and never took long and the drinks were delicious. The last few times I've been this year just completely different. The drinks are not good, wait times are longer and the quality has decreased. I ate there tonight the drinks weren't good we had to send a drink back because it was not good. The server tried the justify the situation, but the drink was not good. The food came out warm not hot. The chicken tenders were tiny, I mean you get them bigger at a fast food restaurant. We spoke to the manager on shift and she only justified the situation. She said the cooks were new and she had to help the cook, I guess that explains my slightly raw salmon. I asked on the way about management and I was told all the managers are new, that explains it. We were seated after a 20 minute wait on a Saturday evening at 5:00. Our waitress, Nica, greeted us with fresh baked bread which was nice and hot. She then took our drink orders. I ordered a Club Soda with Lime and my wife had water. Both drinks were fine. We both had a mixed green house salad. The salad was perfectly chilled and my wife gave it a 10 out of 10. My wife had a 6 Oz Filet with Lobster tail. She said the filet was perfect. She did save the lobster to take home. I had an 8 oz sirloin medium rare which was cooked to order but the seasoning had a heavy hand on the pepper. Nothing to stop the show but it could have been better. I had the steamed broccoli for my side and my wife had a baked potato. Again the sides were done well with no complaints. There was ROACH that wanted to have lunch with us today. My husband and I usually go to this Longhorn location about twice a month. Today (5/16/25), we were seated in a booth along a wall on the right side of the restaurant when entering. Longhorn Steakhouse is decorated with Western wear and riding equipment. There's a bridle decorating the booth where we were seated. After seeing the ROACH, I told the host, quietly that there was a ROACH on the bridle and that we'd need to move. The host went to the server and took forever to decide where to move us. As a Florida native, I know that if you see one ROACH, there's more around. We decided to leave. If a Manager reads this review, please instruct your host how to handle to situation when a customer sees a live ROACH in the dining room. read more

Very disappointed. I have been a fan of this chain since they started. We always eat here after golf. Today the wait staff and kitchen just couldn't get it together. We were the second group of guests seated just after opening. We gave our order and 38 minutes later the food was delivered wrong. 2 burgers 1 cooked medium and I cooked rare and a side salad with dressing on the side. Not a confusing order. What we received was 1 burger well done and 1 medium and a salad with so much dressing on it I couldn't even get to the lettuce. Half way through the waitress arrived but by then it was done . We have always loved Longhorn but it has been awhile since we have eaten there. Yesterday, before our son's flight, we took him for steak and lobster. He ended up getting the lunch special steak salad with french onion soup and a lobster tail and enjoyed it all, though he did say the french onion soup had way too much cheese. My husband got the lunch special cheeseburger but after eating his side salad and a lobster tail, he was too full to eat his burger. He loved his food. I ate the lunch special chicken salad with fruit and the chicken was great. I also got the shrimp and lobster soup and a lobster tail. The soup was disappointment in a bowl. I searched and searched trying to find and seafood for which it was named but it was futile. So, on the whole, we enjoyed our food and my son was happily full before his flight which was our main objective. The problem I saw was all our food came out at the same time. The only other time this has happened was in Canada. They said that is how it is done. We do not like it. We prefer our side salads and soups to come out first. We got the impression that they were understaffed at 2pm. Longhorn has always served salad and soup first. We will be extremely cautious next time we eat there. read more

I placed an online order of 2 T-Bone steaks with 2 salads 1 loaded potato and 1 sweet potato as well as chicken salad and loaded potato. My husband picked up the order and came home with no items for the loaded or sweet potato as well as no napkins or silverware. I called the restuarant to report this and waited on the phone for 20 minutes and the manager never came to the phone. My husband went back to get what we were missing. Steak was not good and it may have been that I lost my taste for it after the missing items. My Cavalier King Charles ate the steak. BIll was $93.28. This is why I don't tip for take out. Someone needs to check orders prior to them rolling out the door. Servers need to understand tips depend on the service you provide not because you showed up to work and to ask for a tip online when placing your order is entitled. For a fairly new restaurant this place needs help already. The booth seats we sat on were held together with duct tape. Not what I expected. While we were waiting for our meals a waiter spilled a big glass of ice water and ice was all over the place. He could care less. A large party was being seated in the spill area and he just went la de da about his business. Not a word, didn't clean it up. The hostess cleaned it up when they weren't bs'ing at the desk with each other. I ordered the NY strip and baked potato. It was ok. I've had better steak from Winn Dixie. The potato though was probably the best one I've ever had. Wife had the ribeye....overcooked. A disappointing experience. Before we left the manager came over and asked how everything was. Wow, what a complete disappointment this place was. I had just arrived home by plane and was starving and was craving steak so we decided to come here. Have eaten at the Brandon location several times and was always happy with it, so this one must be good too, right? Wrong! We were seated right away, great! But as we got to our table I was very surprised that the seats were torn, and some had masking tape on them. Tacky! (Excuse the pun) I ordered the ribeye steak, medium with a loaded baked potato and house salad! The salad was good, potato scarce on toppings, steak so thin you could almost see through it and overcooked. It was horrible! My wife and I have been to this LongHorn Steakhouse a few times. They kinda share their parking with Mandola's Italian Kitchen on one side, but there is plenty of parking all around the restaurant. This place is not a bad place to have some nice dinner. I recommend using their app to make reservation, so you know when to show up. They always provide you with warm bread with side of butter. Staff seems to always be on point, some better than other, but overall good. Food, is never bad, could sometimes be better, but still good enough for us to continue to come to this location. I keep reading about duct tape being used to cover holes in their furniture, but I guess we've been lucky, because this has not been our experience. I normally go for their chicken, ribs or hamburgers. It's been a while since I last had a steak here, but I guess my biggest problem are the steak prices, not just here, but everywhere, I feel the prices are unjustifiably high and I don't want to encourage these higher price trends by participating in them. You can pay at time of ordering, or pay when picking up. I arrived at the designated pick up time. The pickup area in the parking lot is well organized. You follow the signs and pull into a numbered parking space. The staff brings out your order. When I returned home the order was correct and well packaged. The food was cooked to order and delicious. Stopped with the family for a late lunch. We were seated right away and brought some warm, crusty bread and butter. The entrees come with a salad and a side so all 3 of us had the never go wrong Parmsean Crusted Chicken. I added a side of the new cauliflower appetizer that looked unique. The salad was fresh and I liked the white balsamic dressing, it was light and not oily. The cauliflower was good, roasted au-gratin style. It's one of those dishes that is good, made you happy enough, but.. you wouldn't order again. I don't know what happened since I last ate at this Longhorn restaurant but I probably won't come back again. Last night I ate with two friends and I had a very disappointing experience. First I tried to place a "to go" order to take home to my husband and believe it or not they were completely out of chicken wings. I then ordered a 9oz filet and a loaded baked potato along with a salad with blue cheese dressing with crumbled blue cheese on top and they had no crumbled blue cheese for the salad and had just run out of baked potatoes ( it was only 5:15pm on a Sat night) so I switched to loaded mashed potatoes instead. They put my potatoes on my friend's plate and gave me the only baked potato they had left from her dinner so we had to switch the potatoes because the server did not want to touch our food! Tonight during this coronavirus and stay at home, we ordered some burgers for dinner. Everything went FLAWLESSLY!! From the on-line ordering to the pick-up. When we arrived to pick up there were signs directing you. The parking spots were all numbered and the street was numbered as well. Longhorn was extremely organized! The worker immediately approached our car, asked for a name and immediately returned with our bag of food. Everything was packaged nicely and was hot. We couldn't be happier about how this pick-up went! When we returned home and began to unwrap our food my husband's first comment was "I probably got a hockey puck to eat". He said this because I eat my burgers "well done" and for some reason even tho he orders his "medium", it's usually served well done like mine. When he cut into his burger it was medium and pink!!! Thank you Longhorn!!! For this I give you five stars!!! You deserve it!! We have dined in many establishments for burgers and they never get it right for some reason. It's very frustrating for my hubby. I ordered a well done bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was delicious. My hubby ordered a medium done bacon cheeseburger with a Mac & cheese side and it was perfect. Everything was enjoyed! When the restaurants re-open I will definitely be coming to this Longhorn for a nice steak dinner! If you are in the Riverview area I definitely recommend you order take-out from this Longhorn. My companion couldn't eat hers so my dog got a free meal when I got home. We never send food back because we've heard stories about what happens to people's food when they do that.
