I ordered the soup ( none of the 3 were homemade) this is Bob Evans right but it wasn't too bad. Tthe fish sandwich went back twice and my friend could not eat either one...so she passed altogether on her lunch. I felt bad for our server...she tried so hard to accomodate us. I would not recommend this place. I ordered a breakfast with pancakes , but by the time I finished eating, the pancakes never arrived. I asked to speak with the manager, who told me he was sorry but that nothing could be done because they were "too busy," and that he would discount the pancakes. However, when I went to pay, I received a receipt for $75 with no breakdown of what I was being charged for. After doing the math, I realized I was still charged for the pancakes. The manager, John, was very rude and unprofessional, and the waitress never returned to address the missing item or apologize. Popular spot for locals and travelers just off of I 75. Bob Evan's is a good choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Unfortunately for us we had a bad experience. We ordered Oatmeal for breakfast and even though they were super busy we had a longer than reasonable time for our meal to arrive, when it arrived it was cold, very cold. We decided to leave. Thoughts, consumers have expectations that should always be foremost. I think that quality control extends from the kitchen to the consumer. I seldom rate chain restaurants because they are usually the same everywhere. We had such a good experience here that I had to write a review. We were quickly seated and our server Caleb arrived and was one of the best servers and marketers I think I have ever seen. He was respectful and helpful, and did a great job telling us about sides that were up charges and taking dessert to take home. We used to own a business, so we appreciate employees that try to make their employer more money. Caleb was wonderful our entire visit and the manager should be made aware. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN OUR FOOD!!! First of all, our server Kiana was amazing and on top of everything. Ordered a bowl of potato soup and that was great. We ordered two breakfasts. Specifically asked for soft bacon. The bacon was disgraceful and had been sitting. Rock hard!!! My fiancee had ordered a side of bacon as well. My biscuits were covered in salt and the entire meal (both plates) were cold. Potatoes, eggs, bacon, gravy, etc. When the bacon originally went back his plate came back minus the bacon. Food was still cold! No one even thought about recooking the entire meal. This was 4 pm and there were less than 10 tables occupied. Two things. 1. Don't blame your employees for your screw up! 2. The manager was not too busy to come out and have a conversation, but obviously declined to do so. Very bad look for this place!!! No apology from management. No offer to recook our meals. Just a wonderful young lady who was apologetic and a little shaken that she was being blamed. She didn't cook it, so clearly not her fault. Don't know if the cook realizes that he is catering to an older community whom mostly have sodium restrictions. Pull it together at Bob Evans folks! I'm new to the neighborhood and this was my first time at this Bob Evans. I will say that the staff was extremely nice and efficient. The food came came out just as it was ordered and everything was perfect from crispy hashbrowns to soft scrambled eggs to amazing biscuits great taste, and gravy, blueberry pancakes, and so on. I would give this restaurant five stars however when we got there, I noticed that one of the ladies in the back was stacking the trays of raw biscuits to bring out and put in the oven and you should never have the bottom of one metal tray sitting on top of another tray of raw biscuits I did bring this up to the managers attention. He was disappointed that that had happened and said, that he would speak with this particular person however, at the same time, he did not remove those two trays of biscuits from the oven. read more

This was our first year going out for our Thanksgiving meal, and let me tell you Bob Evans made it worth our while. Our server, Santina was really nice and hospitable and the food was really delicious. We got the Thanksgiving premium platter and everything was really good. A welcome relief It was hot, I had been doing some outdoor stuff, and my car's a/c is broken. As I headed home to Sarasota I was looking around for some familiar place that wasn't fast food where I could stop for a cool drink and food, and get out of the heat. I spotted Bob Evans. I was greeted, shown to a table, and given a menu. My server came right over and I quickly requested water and a soft drink. She got me those, and for the rest of my visit she took very good care of me, checking with me often to bring me more to drink. The food part also went well, taking only about 8 minutes. When I think of Bob Evans I think of their slow roasted Pot Roast. Where else can you find tender, delicious pot roast? And when I saw they had a new Double Cheese Pot Roast Dip sandwich, I ordered it. Man, what a good sandwich. I know I was hungry and pretty wiped out from the heat, but that sandwich was so, so good. Delicious pot roast, so much cheese, brown gravy for dipping? Wow, so good. The sourdough bread was an excellent choice, I should mention the bottom slice was pretty soggy which made it a messier sandwich. The gravy also worked well for dipping my fries. Awful experience here. Opted for one of their specials, the banana caramel nut pancakes with eggs, bacon and potatoes. I asked for the potatoes and bacon to be crispy. Not only were neither crispy, but the potatoes had barely been cooked and almost tasted raw. This was followed up by finding not 1 but TWO hairs in my pancakes. I went to Bob Evans just to order a coffee and a slice of pie at the Sun City, FL location and it was terrible. The server took my order came back after 10 minutes, without the coffee and water that I ordered and said they had to make another pie and then proceeded to hand me the bill. I sat there for an additional 15 minutes and no part my order was brought to me, not even the water. I was there for nearly half an hour, and the only thing they put on my table was my bill. I have been to this Bob Evans several times. Usually it is pretty good. On this visit, 8/30/23 for dinner, something dramatic has changed. The hostess was not friendly, there was one server in the entire restaurant, and the cook was horrible. The server was very nice, soft spoken and doing her best. The cook was probably cooking for the first time without any training or supervision. Everything was bad. Not at all like a typical meal from Amy Bob Evans. Checking out at a register was ridiculous. No one was available to cash guest out. Sorting rolls, taking phone orders, processing online orders, taking to go orders, all had priority over guest standing in line to pay. Ate at this location on a weekday and was disappointed with the quality of food and amount provided. We had a side of bacon which was way over cooked.It might as well have been pork rinds. I decided to give it a try as I do not care to waist food, but it pretty much fell apart as I took a bite. The amount of hash browns provided with our meal was meager. First time trying this restaurant chain. It was nice. I had a lemon pepper fish with mashed potatoes and green beans. My fish was cooked well and it had good flavors. A good portion size. The mashed potatoes were really good. I liked them. They tasted like real potatoes. The green beans were good too. They had onion and a little ham. My favorite thing was the dinner rolls. There were warm, soft and sweet. They came out right out of the oven. I really liked them. I liked the food for the price I paid. My low rating was for the service. We came in and they say as down. This happened a third time again. The restaurant was not busy at all. We ordered and finished our meal. We then got the check and put our cards next to it. Did an order for pick up. They didn't give me two of the items. That's my fault for not checking the bag before I pulled out after the pick up. You guys absolutely suck and I won't be ordering again. And the steak I ordered was sooooooo fatty. It was downright gross. Perhaps people will have a better experience dining in. As this is the case for me as well.
