Came here on a Monday on a day when a half rack of St Louis ribs was the special. Very moderately priced which was under $18 Couple that with a side of broccoli and some rice and I was happy . Spouse had StLouis ribs as well ,although I think she had baked potato. This place is actually underrated the food is that good. Service was decent. I wouldn't say top shelf but they were busy which was the problem and we chose to sit outside because it was probably late afternoon and it was shaded in such a way we weren't gonna be in direct sunlight but there was a nice breeze which contributed to the great atmosphere. Throw back a couple of chilly ones to accommodate our food and everybody was happy. My nephew lives local out here and I don't recall what he had , but he was happy and so was his GF. Loved the food! Server was well versed (Casey) It was our first time in, as we have not lived in SSC since 2017. We will advise people to come here for the cornbread (extra charge-minus one star) and the smoked turkey! The interior is a down home, country style, but you can eat in or take it to go. First time here! Came for a to go order and had a couple of beers while waiting. All I can say is super friendly staff, sat down at the bar with Bree and saw her how she was with every customer, always with a smile and approachable. Alana was helping greeting, at the bar and all around the restaurant. very impressed With both of them. They made me feel very welcomed. We normally go to Dickies Barbecue but since this is very close to the house we thought we would give this a try. We were very happy. We ordered take out that featured beef and pork brisket. Cole Slaw and Mac & Cheese. Presentation and Quality seemed to be at the forefront. Everything was packaged first class even the cutlery. Friendly/attentive/quick service... We thought maybe they were training people because they had a ton of employees running around. Ambience and vibe of the facility was awesome. Love all the barbecue packets! This is the New Port Richey location. I'm not sure if this is better than Dickies because we do like the free ice cream but time will tell... we definitely will be coming back! read more

Past nine many times, but never tried this place before. Well heading towards Tampa I decided to stop off for a quick lunch. The place was half full at lunchtime. I tried the slider special because I was not sure what I wanted and it had a sample of everything. The food came out quickly and very tasty. Looking for a late meal since we're on the road and we happened upon this place. So glad that we did! We ordered the pick 2 or 3 meats dinner- 3 brisket and 2 mac-n-cheese. Also ordered the chicken wing (6 piece) dinner with collard greens. Everything was delicious! The brisket was perfect with plenty of moisture and flavor. The wings are a decent size isn't good flavor as well. I'm a greens person and yum to the collard greens. I could go on but I encourage you to try it yourself!! read more

The corn fritters were excellent, but they were too sweet for me. The barbecue brisket was tender, and the baby back ribs were perfect. You could just pull them off the bone but they didn't fall off the bone. (So they were made like competition ribs!). Perfect. Aliya was our server and she was sooooo friendly and service was excellent. She did a great job. I would definitely come back. I actually ordered food to go and the waitress who helped me in the drive-through Inayah was fantastic. I had never been here before. I just saw the restaurant as I was driving home from playing around the golf and wanted some food. She was very helpful and went over the menu with me which was very extensive as I had no idea what offerings were available to me. I ordered the ribs with a side of greens and baked beans as well as an order of shrimp with a second side of greens. The shrimp was OK, the ribs were OK. I don't eat a lot of pork or red meat so when I do, I'm very selective about it and I am pretty good at doing barbecue ribs myself being from New Orleans. The sides however we're very good. The greens were good and the baked beans were fantastic. Like I said, I was not a huge fan of the ribs. I felt they could've have been more tender however, my experience was good enough, especially with my waitress that I will definitely give them another go and try some of the other main entrées next time such as possibly the pulled pork or the chicken. read more

My server, Meghan, was extremely polite and made good recommendations for my first visit choices. The wings were outstanding. The pulled pork was so dry I'm pretty sure it filed for drought assistance. The Brisket had me second guessing if cows deserve a second chance. I've had better bbq at graduations parties, where grandpa said "trust me I know what I'm doing." Overall 2/10. 1 point for the plate, and one point because nobody called the ambulance.
