First time trying the brand so getting though the choices was a chore. Obviously you try the chicken and let the other items slide, except the mozzarella. Service was good and the restaurant itself makes you wander from wall to wall with the "graffiti" based art work. Food was ready fairly quickly and was hot and fresh. The tenders and slider were done really well with an abundance of sauces and dips to try. I wasn't a fan of the mozzarella I found the breading aftertaste took away from the taste of the cheese. I kept driving past Dave's Hot Chicken and hearing how good it was, so I finally decided to give it a try myself. The food was AMAZING definitely a 10/10! Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I can definitely see why so many people recommend it. Now for the downsides. The milkshake was disappointing. It felt like it was 75% M&M's and only 25% actual milkshake. If you're expecting a creamy shake, you might be let down. Another thing to keep in mind is the price. It's pretty expensive, especially since the meal doesn't even come with a drink. I was also charged $2 for BBQ sauce. I don't mind paying for extras, but it seems like they charge for just about everything. The biggest disappointment was the customer service. The employee taking my order was very rude and rushed me through the drive-thru, which made the experience less enjoyable. It was my very first time visiting Dave's Hot Chicken. I have to say that I was quite impressed with the taste and quality of the chicken. The service was really good at this location. In all fairness, it had just opened for lunch so I don't know how it usually is when it's super busy. This was a dine-in experience. The graffiti art décor keeps it cool & casual. The ordering process is easier than other fast-casual restaurants that rely on a number placed at the table. Here, you're given a buzzer. I didn't have to wait too long for the shake. It was received right after the order was placed. I love the top loaded cereal ones! You get your choice of a vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. I chose vanilla with fruity pebbles. Loved it! The hot chicken bites were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's a very generous portion. These are bigger than bites. The medium spice wasn't spicy to me, and I don't have a high tolerance to heat. I don't know if it was toned down, or if they actually gave me mild. Either way, it was still very tasty. I'll order hot next time just for comparison. The crinkle-cut fries are automatically seasoned by default. I didn't realize it at the time, but there is an option to get them unseasoned. The meal comes with a slice of bread, pickles, and Dave's sauce for dipping. I'd get the same thing again, only I would split it with someone. I'm not sure if there's an option for a 5 bite meal. The price of the meal was high due to the addition of the shake, but the chicken portion makes up for that. Honestly though, the halal chicken price is pretty much on par with other restaurants that serve it with this designation. There will be more visits in the future. First time visit at Dave's and Isaac made ordering a breeze. This is a fun & family friendly environment with plenty of seating. We ordered sliders, wings, macN cheese to start with varying levels of spice to try them out. The chicken sizes are very generous! Like huuuuge tenders! Good flavor on everything we tried. If you have good spice tolerance, choose something higher than medium. The chicken was all juicy and flavorful. The spices are nice and subtle (not overpowering). Ordered via DoorDash and everything was packaged perfectly. They even included the honey and napkins I requested. The chicken was crunchy and based on the color of it I expected an explosion of flavor however, that was not the case. The chicken alone was basically flavorless. The coleslaw, pickles and sauce included helped for this sandwich to not be a total miss. Upon getting into the middle of the sandwich I got some of the medium hot seasoning. It was delicious and the honey on that gave it an extra something for fans of sweet and savory flavors. The fries were crispy but lacked in flavor as well. As others have mentioned a drink is not included with your meal. The food was great! Chicken servings were large. I didn't check out menu before I came so I didn't know what to expect. It's pretty much only chicken tenders. No bone in chicken. I got the chicken sliders meal. It comes with two sliders. I thought they'd be small. You can choose different levels of spice for each slider. Medium is not spicy at all. Flavor was good. I would recommend mild for anyone looking for just a bit of more flavor but cannot handle spicy. You can get no spice. My kids liked it. Chicken quality was great. I would say my slider was similar to Chick-fil-A but better since the chicken was larger. Dave's sauce is delicious. Fries are crispy and delicious. They taste great dipped in Dave's sauce. Compared to Crossroads Hot Chicken, it's so different I cannot compare. Isaac helped us order. Excellent and friendly service. Parking lot is a bit tight. It's hard to get to the side parking since those in the drive through line pretty much block the one way street for our large vehicle. Inside has some wall benches and metal chairs. Even though it was a bit busy inside we were able to find seating without any problem. It took me about 25 minutes to get here but it was well worth the trip to try out something new for us. Check your order before you leave as we didn't and ended up with the completely wrong meal, so that didn't help the experience. I have never heard of this place until I saw it today. I was craving protein and chicken fits that pretty nicely. It is a fast food chicken place but better than KFC and Popeyes. I love the decor here and the music is good. How about the food you ask? Well, I ordered the slider and the tender combo extra hot! As soon as I got to my table, an associate came behind me with my Large Oreo shake. Now that I think about it, I wanted the strawberry Oreo shake but that's not what I asked for. I'm just trying to remember the events as they happened. It was a really good vanilla Oreo cookie shake. Next time I'll try the strawberry one. Anyway, I got a buzz on the beeper almost as soon as the assistant walked away. I went up to the counter with the buzzer and the gentleman who I showed the buzzer to, took it and gave me what I thought was my order. I took it to my table and proceeded to eat it without realizing that this wasn't extra hot and was missing the tender but had another slider in its place. I just assumed that I mis-ordered what I wanted. Turns out, another associate came out while I was eating and asked me if I had received my order. I explained I had a beeper and that the counter person gave me the order. He gave me the order anyway which I thought was very cool. I was told they were going to throw it out and so I took it. As I took a bite of the tender, it was then that i realized this was my original order!! It was definitely extra hot. I'm sure glad I didn't do The Reaper because it would've been more than I can handle and I love hot!! Very motivated crew here cleaning floors and tables. The chicken was great, but let's be honest, after a certain spiciness level, you lose the flavor of everything else. The first part of the meal were sliders who were medium level spicy. Those were great, the extra hot were just a bit above what expected in the spicy level. I had to cool it down with Dave's sauce and the milkshake. Still, it was great for me because I was in the mood for some heat. I'm not sure I would try the Reaper because it would smack my ass . By the way, I should mention that I payed with my phone and the prompts on the payment device asked for a tip before I got my food. I was feeling generous for some reason and gave them a tip which is something I don't ever do. I didn't give expecting the extras they gave me today, but I guess it equals out in the end. While we all know chicken tenders are just large chicken nuggets, this place does crispy chicken in sauce just right without being soggy and keeping that amazing crunch. I would actually be shocked if someone told me the chicken was originally frozen. The portions were generous and worth the money. The pickles were definitely fresh and tasted home made as well. The fries were very crispy and well-seasoned. If Wingstop is a good 7 out of 10, this food from Dave's is a 9 out of 10. I recently visited Dave's Hot Chicken, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I was really looking forward to their honey sauce, but when I got there, they were completely out of it -- one of the only sauces they offer. I asked for Dave's sauce as a substitute, and when I got home to enjoy my meal, I noticed the sauce was spoiled. It had a sour taste, which definitely made the food inedible. I called the restaurant to explain the issue, hoping for some sort of apology or compensation, but the response I received was extremely lacking. Not only did they not apologize, but they also didn't offer any compensation other than telling me to come back to get more sauce. There was no sense of empathy or care about the situation. It's frustrating when a business doesn't stand behind its products or customer service, especially when it's something as simple as making sure the food is fresh. Second time, due to medium not being hot at all, ordered hot. That chit lit a fire in my mouth and resulted in a profuse sweat. Adding on it has way too much seasoning on the hot level. The chicken sandwich and the slaw are delicious. The sauce is mustard based so we got it on the side. We started with mild and worked our way up to hot. I would not recommend any hotter. The service was great. My only complaint is the music is too loud especially in the back of the restaurant since it created a tunnel and you are trapped in the loud music.
