This review is for the whole Firehouse chain. This location just happens to be the closest one. Firehouse frequently has promotions with T-mobile for bogo sandwiches. I went to get the deal, you have to order through their app. It didn't work...their app was down. The kid behind the counter said they knew but there was nothing they could do. So I ordered paying full price for 2 sandwiches. At home I emailed Firehouse explaining the situation. I got an automated response saying they will look into it. I wrote back saying thats all fine and dandy but it does nothing for me. Got the same response. I sent my sam response. Got a 3rd same response plus another saying the issue was resolved and I could have gotten the deal the next day. I wrote back that they just lost a customer. This is pathetic. Not caring about customer relations by a company that touts community involvement. I love our firemen but not these corporate thieves. read more

This review is based off of my last experience with firehouse subs. After ordering the New York steamer. I was completely turned off. The corn beef was very fatty. I actually placed a complaint with the company and never received any resolve. I have visited another location in Brandon and the New York steamer was a lot better. Maybe it was a bad week. I am not a sandwich lover but I found one that made me swoon! I got their most popular sandwich, the Hook & Ladder compliments of T-Mobile. This sandwich had a white bread roll, so soft and wonderful, smoked turkey, Virginia honey ham, melted Monterey cheese. Also mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and a dill pickle on the side. I can't believe I'm saying this but this sub (grinder in my speak) was awesome. I ate it all along with a bag of chips. I would definitely say give this "grinder" a go, I think you will love it too! read more

Oh my word do i love this firehouse subs in Riverview florida. Service was amazing and beyond anything i've ever witnessed. like absolutely beautiful sandwich art, when i didn't have enough money for my meal, the staff all said they would pitch in! I almost fell to my diabetic knees in excitement and over joyfulness. And it was such a beautiful atmosphere. So clean, i felt like i could eat off the floor, so much that i did! i dropped my pickle on the ground and ate it, and here i am a month later still kicking it! Recommended!! read more

This is one of the few franchises that I like. First time at this location and not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and took my order and had food ready in a timely manner. I had the brisket with cheese and it was very good. The bread was fresh and the ingredients had great flavor. Do I wish the small was just a tad bigger? Yes! There is a nice variety of sandwiches from which to choose, or you can create your own sub. For only $2.99 you can make it a combo and have chips and a pretty large drink. She threatened to attack me if I didnt speed up my order because of other customers, and called me a fatass bitch. Wow! I went because they had a deal with our business and I picked up dinner for my husband and I. It was quick and easy to order. My take out was ready very quickly. How do you rate a franchise like this that is so well known...well since you pretty much know what you're getting, I rate it compared to other Firehouse locations I've visited. I walked in and was greeted with more than one smile and the first and most important thing I noticed was how clean it was. There was no straws or napkins or any trash on the floor. Every single chair was pushed in and lined up and even every napkin dispenser on the tables were lined up and looked orderly. The drink station was wiped down and didn't have any drops of soda on the counter and there wasn't a single straw wrapper laying around. Pretty impressed. I ordered my sub, it came out fast and exactly as I ordered it...can't complain. While I was eating I noticed 3 different employees simultaneously cleaning and wiping down tables and seats. It doesn't get 5 stars because the subs were phenomenal, although they are very good in my opinion, it's gets 5 stars because of how I was treated, how timely & accurate my food came out and their obvious commitment to cleanliness. read more

I was one of the first customers at this new location on the day they opened. As a longtime Firehouse customer, I was very impressed/excited to see that this location held the same high standards I received at their other franchise stores. However, I went to Firehouse Subs today and received substandard service at best. I arrived at the Hwy 301 location at 3:58 pm and was warmly greeted by the staff....after that everything went downhill. I ordered 2 Lg Subs at 4:01 pm.....there was another couple in front of me......other than that, there was no other customers. Please note, there was 9 Firehouse workers on duty, one woman did get off between the time I ordered and when I received my sandwiches 17 mins later! During my 17 minute wait I began to record the lack of motivation of this staff, all of which was being done in front of the Manager on duty named Kesha. I am absolutely sick to my stomach. I picked up a sandwich and a cup of soup for lunch. Just got home and ate half of my sandwich then took a bite of soup. Next bite of soup I stirred it and noticed something white on the surface. Then proceeded to scoop out dozens of white bag clips. I thought I was seeing things at first, but nope, they're all bent and clearly used. What on earth? This is disgusting. I literally ate from what I can only understand would be a discard cup that dozens of employees have touched bag clips and thrown them in. I want to throw up. So disgusting there is no way this was not seen when putting soup in there. How could you feed this to someone? No regard for the health (given the current pandemic) or safety of others? What if this soup was meant to be eaten by a child? I will never be back and I will dissuade others from visiting as well. I'm literally stunned. read more

This was my first and last visit. The sign says "Meat piled high". I could barely find the meat as the first 3 bites were bread with lettuce and mayo. I took it apart. There was a thin line of meat in the center. There was 2 cm of bread on either side. It took forever to get it made and it was terrible. You could make a MUCH better sandwich at home. There app doesn't work. They told 3 different people they didn't do the App right. Finally on Customer #4, they figured out ......maybe their App doesn't work. I sat at the outdoor table. It had what I hoped wasn't poop and bread pieces on it. No one even tried to clean the two outdoor tables, though I counted 4 employees. 3 behind the counter and 1 stocking chips. read more

Its O.K. very pricey to begin with. The subs arent bad but not OMG delicious. The service is very mediocre. A lot of teens working behind the counter and they really couldn't care less. Just go across the street to Publix. I am updating my review because the owner reached out. We ordered 3 expensive subs and a grilled cheese for my child. The subs were sloppy and the cheese on the grilled cheese was not melted...the bread was not even toasted. The employees were too busy with each other to even care about the quality of the food that was being prepared. The order was to go, so I was not aware of the quality until I got home. Rude customer service. Im not sure who the manager is but the teens that work there have no respect for adults. I had to listen to them laughing joking around talking about highschool drama profanity doing everything but their job. They look as if they don't want to be there. The bad part is one of the workers threw my bag on the counter and walked away as if I was a problem. Just ordered this with Uber Eats. Order was completely wrong. Received incorrect sandwich, kids meals missing drinks and cookies, salad had literally only 3 small strips of chicken. Called and was offered a store credit only for kids meals. Expected a full refund but refused, tried to blame it on Uber but they just pick up what the store leaves for them. Sandwich was barely cut and smashed into the corner. Completely appalled at the way this sub was prepared. Is this how all take home orders are handled? Might be looking for a new sub shop now. Firehouse is one of my fav places to eat a sub. I always get the mushroom swiss sub and it is so good! I love how its hot when you get it. One time I ordered the cheesesteak but they didn't have ketchup which I thought was so odd. I feel like you should have those type of condiments when you're a sub place. The best thing about firehouse that my husband introduced me to is the cherry limeade with some fresh squeezed lime. If you haven't had that drink you got to try it!! Beyond disappointed. Ordered from the riverview location and paid $4.99 for delivery plus $3 tip only to receive part of my order. I ordered a sub and chips.....not difficult. When my uber driver called to let them know I did not receive full order, while I was standing there on speaker phone, was told I could drive there to pick up chips today or a different day. My response ,"I just paid $5 for my order and a tip to drive and pick up the rest of my order?". At that point I sent the order back and expect a full refund. I call the store directly to speak with the store manager and she offers no help or solution. Sad to say I wanted to support this company, however I will nvr order again. This store in particular is tiny. I went on a Sunday (maybe that was the reason) but I had little kids running all around me and trying not to get bumped into at the drink machine was a challenge in itself. I ordered steak and cheese-it was nothing to brag about-and was pretty disappointed at their $2 up charge for a tiny bowl of what tastes real similar to progresso. I love these subs. The food did not disappoint. The service however did. I was so excited that this location opened up. I ordered one sub online ahead of time. I arrived exactly when the sub was supposed to be ready. I signed for it and the cashier said she'd tell me when it was ready. I waited. Watched other people get their orders. Finally after 20 mins I decided to ask what was going on. The person behind the register found my order immediately and handed it to me. I asked "how long has it been sitting there?" "I dunno look at the check". According to the check it was sitting there for 19 minutes. I consider myself to be a pretty patient person (my husband was sitting in the car the whole time).
