The greeters are always friendly and smiling and I was seated right away. The waiter asked about a drink and I'd already planned on chicken and dumplings so I placed the food order at the same time. The decor of most of the restaurants are antique memorabilia that reminds me of a simpler time. The chairs are wooden and not super comfortable - maybe that's to keep things moving. The gift shop is always fun - the choices rotate and there always seems to be a section dedicated to local sports teams. A classic restaurant that I love coming to! It may be a chain, but it still has that same country feel to it! Brief Summary: This Cracker Barrel location holds them to their standards and delivers well on service, quality, and value! If you're a fan of country food, drop on by! Would I Recommend This Restaurant? Yes The Food: I've had a number of things here, and it's almost always delicious and fresh. The fried chicken is a classic, and their new burger with the fried egg on it is fabulous!!! This is in stark contrast to the burger I had last time that made me seriously regret getting a burger at Cracker Barrel. Occasionally, you get a side of dried okra or chicken tenders that feel a bit too small, but for the most part, they do quality pretty well! I'm also not a fan with how often they change the menu and remove classics or move them to certain days. I LOVE their pot pie, but they recently changed it to where you can only get it one day out of the week, and I HATE THAT!!! Because I'm never there on that day! Overall, the food is delicious, but just know that sometimes there will be a miss. They're always quick to correct it though, so kudos to them for their hospitality. Value: The price you pay for the amount of food you get is incredible! I've always thought that Cracker Barrel has had a great value proposition, and I still think that to this day. The restaurant is large, the décor mostly old stuff on the walls, and there is a fireplace. Summer in Florida, the fireplace was not in use. For breakfast I had their Grandma's Sampler Pancake Breakfast, a couple of eggs, a couple of large pancakes, sausage patty, slice of ham, and a strip of bacon. We arrived and were waiting at the host stand with a decent crowd waiting to check in or place our names on the list, yet no host. Not a big deal. The host could be seating someone or getting a large table together. The host returns and the first person starts to speak to him to put his name on the list. Instead of acknowledging the gentleman, the host picks up a the speaker and calls 4-5 names from the list. Still does not talk to the gentleman waiting to give his name for the list, but waits for all the names he calls to come to the stand and be seated. This process takes roughly 10 mins. Once he does return, then he starts to take names. We already are on the list as I put us on the list through the website. We are told that we will be sat shortly, the text that comes through says 10-15 minutes, but we are not sat for 30 minutes. Total wait time to be sat was around 45 minutes. Mind you this was a Sunday morning, but the process was not efficient or welcoming. At the table, we wait and watch the dinning room fill up. As it was about 10:30a, they may have been waiting for the 11a servers to arrive. We were eventually sat at 11:27a, but our server did not greet us until 11:35a. We watched tables around us get greeted, served drinks, and some served food before we were served our drinks. Our food came out, we ate, and no sign of our server. She did come by to drop of the check and ask if we needed anything before greeting a table. We waited another 15 minutes for her to come back with a to-go drink I asked for. That is 15 mins after she went back into the kitchen. Finally, after she starts out of the kitchen without a drink and then returning to get it, we can go and get on with our day. Breakfast, even with new COVID rules usually takes us an hour at Cracker Barrel. Still a good time and we enjoy the experience. This visit takes almost two and a half hours for the three of us to have breakfast. Our meals were good, even if they didn't have blueberry syrup. It was all just very slow. read more

I absolutely love Cracker Barrel Country restaurant and stores. The Bradenton, FL location off Manatee Ave (64) is a training location so you see some turnaround in staff but they are always very helpful when shopping and really go the extra mile to make sure you've had a good experience. The food is always fresh and arrives hot. Portions are a good size and you can rely on their favorites menu items like the meatloaf diner. The managers are always available should you have a issue with your visit. The restaurant, shop area and bathrooms are always clean. You also meet some really nice people there. It's also a great family eatery and if you happen to be traveling in a RV definitely try it out. I'm a regular and they never disappoint! read more

Honestly the service here for me has been subpar. The food has been cold and rushed and really no labor of love. It's unfortunate because i enjoy the atmosphere but thats about it. My tea hasn't been great either, tasting like sugar water... overall I don't recommend Cracker Barrel but i do hope they can redeem themselves in their service department and really make sure the food is nice and hot. Cracker Barrel at one time was an awesome place to eat anytime of the day. Well since it changed hands things have changed and in my option gone down hill. Was there today and very disappointed. First off they had the air on making the dinning experience very cold, even some of the waitresses had on jackets. Waited for decaf coffee to be brewed for 10 min after we sat down. The eggs (scrambled eggs) were like rubber, in fact took them home for our dog to eat and she turned her nose up at them and walked away. The bacon was supposed to be crispy and came out wimpy and greasy. They always gave you little bottles of sugar free syrup for your pancakes and today you got a little plastic cup instead.
