Waffle

It's Waffle House. We try to limit visits to once a year as the binge is monstrous compared to our regular fare. The All-American is a treat - waffle with spread & syrup, two eggs (your way but not poached) plus grits or hash browns and sausage or bacon, with toast of course! All for $10.45. We left staggeringly full, sugar comatose and needing a nap. Excellent! Service was terrific. Great location.

Phenomenal! Y'all come back now ya hear. Shay Shay is a rockstar! You can get it, smothered, covered, and chunked! Or any way you like. And it's not the waffle house, it's my waffle home.

Went in and grabbed the chilly bowl smothered everything on it and it was delicious. Not sure what their names were but from the service to the food, pretty damn good!

Good ole Waffle House has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately but don't let that stop you from dropping into this location - It is top notch. When it comes to food, you usually know what your getting at the Waffle House. The real variables are the time of the day, the number of patrons and quality of the service. This was my first trip to the house during daylight in quite some time and for a late Saturday morning breakfast the service was fast, friendly and very efficient. The store was busy but it didn't keep us from getting in and out quickly. I am looking forward to getting smothered and covered more often in the future.

We are visiting from California and of course had to stop at Waffle House. I ordered fried eggs, bacon, blueberry waffle, raisin toast and grits -- and damnnnn the food was so good! The eggs were perfectly cooked, my blueberry waffle was sweet and crispy, and the grits were thick and buttery. They even served apple butter with the raisin bread. The servers/cooks Kesha and Jessica were friendly and entertaining, and had a really great vibe. Thanks for making our experience so positive, we will definitely stop at #566 on our next visit!

Other tables were seated after us and we saw their servers greet them and bring waters immediately. I ordered a sandwich with no tomatoes. I have a few food allergies so I'm used to double checking my food. The plate comes out and it looks fine. No tomatoes. Opened the sandwich and it was clear that tomatoes had originally been put in the sandwich and then taken out before coming to the table. There were tomato pieces/seeds left on the meat of the sandwich. I did not eat the sandwich after seeing that. I told both the server and the host as we left the restaurant. We paid full price and were given a quick "I'm sorry." I wasn't looking for a refund or for the sandwich to be remade. I didn't trust the kitchen at that point. Just a heads up to anyone who dines here with ingredient restrictions. Slow service and careless mistakes.

Super experience at this charming Hungarian restaurant in Bradenton…read more We have never tried Hungarian food, so this sparked our attention. Walked in and let them know it was our first time and Alexa took care of us all the way through. We ordered mushroom crepe that was very tasty. It was called Bakonyi Palacsinta. We shared our entree which was a potato crusted chicken with salad. This is called Karpati Borzacska. Both were amazing and tasty. The cherry on top was our dessert which is a chocolate rum sponge cake with walnut and raisin with chocolate syrup. Sounds rich right? It was not. It was a perfect balance and not too sweet believe it or not. It is called Somloi. The restaurant is charming and shows its Hungarian culture with additional market items on sale and it also shows its family background with the pictures by the bathroom. Loved our experience here and our service. Def happy our first Hungarian experience was right here.

The waitress was very nice and answered my questions about the different dishes. It was difficult to make a decision because everything on the menu sounded like I wanted to try it. The food portions are large and the dishes are presented like in a gourmet restaurant. I tried the chicken paprikash and my husband had a pork steak. Everything was fabulous! You can tell the food is freshly prepared when you hear the schnitzel being pounded in the kitchen and ten minutes later, it is served at the table next to you. It was a great dining experience and I will be back for sure.

Cracker Barrel is a great consistent go-to for home style meals at reasonable prices…read more.. The Bradenton restaurant is tucked just off the I75 so it's easy to get here and back on the road.... The greeters are always friendly and smiling and I was seated right away. The waiter asked about a drink and I'd already planned on chicken and dumplings so I placed the food order at the same time. The decor of most of the restaurants are antique memorabilia that reminds me of a simpler time. The chairs are wooden and not super comfortable - maybe that's to keep things moving. The gift shop is always fun - the choices rotate and there always seems to be a section dedicated to local sports teams. The chicken and dumplings were good as normal, cornbread was warm enough to melt the butter and all in all a good meal.

Brief Summary: This Cracker Barrel location holds them to their standards and delivers well on service, quality, and value! If you're a fan of country food, drop on by! Would I Recommend This Restaurant? Yes The Food: I've had a number of things here, and it's almost always delicious and fresh. The fried chicken is a classic, and their new burger with the fried egg on it is fabulous!!! This is in stark contrast to the burger I had last time that made me seriously regret getting a burger at Cracker Barrel. Occasionally, you get a side of dried okra or chicken tenders that feel a bit too small, but for the most part, they do quality pretty well! I'm also not a fan with how often they change the menu and remove classics or move them to certain days. I LOVE their pot pie, but they recently changed it to where you can only get it one day out of the week, and I HATE THAT!!! Because I'm never there on that day! Overall, the food is delicious, but just know that sometimes there will be a miss. They're always quick to correct it though, so kudos to them for their hospitality. Value: The price you pay for the amount of food you get is incredible! I've always thought that Cracker Barrel has had a great value proposition, and I still think that to this day. I leave fat and happy each time and all without breaking the bank! Service and Staff: The staff here are almost all perfect. They're all friendly, and mostly extremely knowledgeable. There is also a server named Randy that is as friendly as can be! Will be asking for him in the future! Just all smiles, very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable! Location and Interior: The location is a bit tucked away, and the motels and stuff you drive past make you question how safe the area is, but the interior is just like any other Cracker Barrel. But I enjoy the familiarity of it. There's a certain feeling that Cracker Barrel gives you that just can't be fully put into words. But it's a feeling that makes me want to keep coming back. Final Thoughts: A beautiful location for a classic chain. Sit with Randy one time, and you'll be sitting with him for the rest of your life! Final Scores: Food - 7/10 Value - 5/5 Service/Staff - 4/5 Location/Interior 4/5 Total 20/25 = 4/5 Stars Stay fresh Mother Fooders! :p

The menu is very extensive and it's so nice they serve breakfast and lunch. We waited a bit for service, but it gave us time to look over the menu. I settled on a club sandwich with coleslaw. Different than most clubs in that it was served in two pieces, not four, had only turkey but no cheese. The bread was toasted a bit too much as it kept falling apart when I was eating. The coleslaw was super chunky so not really something I enjoyed. The sandwich was tasty, but should really just be a Turkey sandwich. I did have to keep asking for a coffee refill as our server was working at a large table which kept her busy.

Had I been told that they were out of pears I would not have ordered it. Once I discovered that the pears were missing I asked for more dates and pine nuts, and that made it better. The goat cheese was just one big blob of cheese, and it would have been much better had it been crumbles. I asked for the dressing to be on the side, and it's a good thing that I did. I was there with a group of ladies and all of the other ladies that got the same salad didn't get the dressing on the side and they wish they had. This will not keep me from returning, as there are lots of interesting items on the menu. This particular salad unfortunately was not one of them. At least not on the day that I visited.
