Our server was super sweet and patient with all of our dietary restrictions. She went out of her way to ensure we were provided meals that fit our dietary needs, and I am incredibly grateful for that! There was a little mixup with the kitchen staff, and my boyfriend was brought a meal that contained what he is allergic to, but it was very quickly resolved with the help of the manager. Accidents happen and we were very understanding of that, especially because the manager and server showed such a genuine commitment to making sure things were right! I had to start this review by acknowledging how wonderful of a job these ladies did!!! The steak kabob meal was delicious and I loved the sweet potato! Texas Roadhouse is great at providing such yummy food and great service. It was nice sitting in Ken's corner as well and being able to share his & the restaurant's history, with my boyfriend. I'm a big Texas Roadhouse fan. I normally go to the one in either Greensburg or Monroeville, but my mom and I were running errands in McCandless, so we stopped at this location for lunch. I order the same thing almost every time. It's the chicken critter salad. So I ordered the salad like normal. When our food arrived, we started eating. I felt like the ranch tasted off (I love Texas roadhouse's Ranch dressing) but whatever. My mom ordered a side salad with ranch and she made a comment about how her ranch tasted different than it normally does. I agreed and we both were disappointed that the ranch at this location was not the norm. Additionally, our service was just okay. Our waitress was nice enough, but we had to flag her down to ask for drink refills and for more bread. The Resturant wasn't overly crowded and there were amply staff walking around. This is actually the Bridgeville store.We come here one a month or so. It has always been good until this last time. The place is always clean and nice. The service has also been really good. Now we come to the reason for the three stars. My wife ordered the Dallas filet and baked sweet potato.She ordered a medium steak but this was medium rare. Normally we wouldn't say anything but the manager asked what was wrong and asked if we wanted it sent back, we said yes. We were walked to a booth that had standing water under the table, on the seat and on the floor area. I refused to sit there and asked for a different seat. The hostess told me she would have a busser clean it. All that was done was a yellow wet floor sign was put out. How about cleaning up the mess? The problem was not cleaned up when I went to the restroom a half hour later. I brought it to the attention of the manager- I doubt anything was done about it. This restaurant needs to start cleaning the restrooms, floors and could you repair the toilet? The one in the women's restroom has been out of service for over a month. There is serious room for improvement here. I expect a better environment when I'm out to eat. read more

Last evening, 2/12/26, my husband and I ordered a TOGO order from Texas Roadhouse on Duncan Rd in McCandless. My husband had the 11oz Sirloin, med/rare, I had the 8oz Dallas Filet, med/rare. We both had sides of sauteed mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and an add on of grilled shrimp. It was our early Valentine's Day dinner. The meal was fantastic! Everything was done perfectly! The steaks were a perfect med/rare, the potatoes and veges we're cooked well, and shrimp were the perfect texture and spice. I called them to let them know how well they had done. For starters I love texas roadhouse. I came here last night around 9 on the dot which I didn't think was outrageous since they close at 10 it's a good hour. It was nice inside not too busy but still a good amount of people there. After we ordered drinks and didn't have rolls brought out we asked about them and they said they ran out. I understand running out of things but the rolls are a texas roadhouse staple I think many people want when coming. To be honest the selling point of me going was the rolls. We stopped into Texas Rodhouse on our last night in Pittsburgh. It's not typically my jam to go to a chain restaurant and I haven't eaten at one since college, but we were limited in our nearby choices and we could walk there. We walked in without a reservation on a Tuesday night and it was packed! We were lucky enough that there was a small space at the bar for us to squeeze in! As we waited for our food, we snacked on the Bread with cinnamon butter, this was so delicious!! We both ordered the filets smothered with mushrooms onions jack cheese and gravy. Served with sides of Smokey green beans and steak fries. Everything was good but priche gravy was super salty... We used to love the Texas Roadhouse in Greensburg and were glad when one opened in mccandless. I have to say, though, this was our last time there after today. Previously,I had two occasions where the steak could not even be chewed, so grisly. I chalked it up to buying the inexpensive steaks so what did I expect. And they were extremely salty. So today we got the pulled pork. It was tender, but so, so salty we couldn't eat it. So that's strike three. I liked the rolls. My son took me out to diner last night to Texas Roadhouse. I have never been to one before. We got there early and there was only a 5-10 minute wait. The staff where friendly and helpful. My son and I choose out hand cut steaks before being seated and we where given tickets for the steaks we choose. I ordered a 11oz sirloin medium rare and mash potatoes and a caesar salad and a Corona to wash it down. The salad needed more dressing which the waiter was more than happy to bring more. The steak was cooked slightly over cooked it was in-between medium and medium rare closer to med rare but still cooked too much as the outside areas where closer to well done. The mashed potatoes where ok nothing special. The steak was good and had a good taste to it. The server was ok could have looked in on us more . with so many steakhouses in the area such as Longhorn and my favorite Outback I do not think I will be going back to Texas Roadhouse again any time soon. If you order steak my suggestion is to go one cooking cycle higher if you like medium i suggest you get medium rare if you like medium rare I suggest you get rare. read more

Went out on a Thursday for a quick bite. The check-in function on Yelp is great. Add yourself to the waitlist is only way to go. Dinner I had the NY Strip not really special. Don't suggest it. My wife had the Dallas-cut fillet it was tender and much better than mine. So I would suggest the Filet over the Strip. We went on the waitlist and was told there was a 50 minute wait. We waited 45 minutes before showing up. They then told us we would have a 55 minute wait. Why go on the waitlist? The girl calling out the names was rude. When we asked her where we were on the list, she said there were two groups ahead of us. The second time she told us six groups. Beyond disappointing. I have food allergies and make sure to carefully explain this to the waitress before ordering. I explain clearlyI cannot have seasonings. Going to the ER is not on my agenda. I order filet medallions and they come covered in seasonings on a bed of rice filled with seasonings and onions. She acts like I'm at fault because she can't do her job. Now I have no dinner. we went to Texas Roadhouse on Tuesday and our server was in the worst mood ever. She must have mistakingly not heard me ask for chili on my cheese and bacon fries which was fine but when I took them to her and asked for it she gave me the worst attitude. I got a breaded chicken salad as my main meal which comes with onions and when I said doesnt this come with onions on it she said no! do you want them? I said yes please and she brought me a side also came with croutons which I didn't get but didn't wanna ask for them. she was very nice to my husband but not me. Was pretty hard to believe that i haven't visited a Texas Road House in 4 decades of adventuring numerous restaurants. Once i moved to Pittsburgh though i heard more and more hype about this chain restaurant so i figured i'd finally make the trip. Boy was i pleasantly surprised! First off we got here around what I believe to be their "Prime" time dinner rush. We were told that it was going to be an hour and a half to two hour wait. Ventured to the bar immediately and BAM we found 2 open seats. Score! Lauren the bar tender was very pleasant and super attentive even though she probably could have had another bar tender helping her. I will say that the food runners here provide QUITE some entertainment if you keep an ear out for what they like to say/complain about. This could be a turn off for some but it made us laugh the entire night. Thanks! Down to the best part of this visit. The food. So they give you these "Yeast Rolls" with cinnamon sugar butter (for free!) that can rival the cheddar biscuits from your favorite seafood chain. Although what 1UPs said cheddar biscuits is the fact that these can also serve as quite a tasty dessert! Side Caesar Salads were had and although the presentation was lacking it indeed had it's classic flavor. Would have loved some fresh sardines here but believe that's asking a little too much for a chain. What was pleasantly a random surprise was the Cactus Blossom Appetizer. That eaten along with the Caesar Salad provided a pleasant concoction. Would highly advise the pairing (although that Blossom kind of negates any health aspect to a salad). For entrees the Filet Medallions and Full Rack of Ribs were ordered. First off the Filet Medallions offer 9oz.'s for the same price as the 6oz. standard. So maybe call this a "Menu Hack"?! The Filet was excellently prepared and paired with the rice pilaf they sat on. Peppercorn sauce and mushroom signature sides were a tasty highlight addition. But now lets get to the Ribs. These alone will have me come back as they are prepared that well. Meat falls off the bone easily and the BBQ char was done as best as i've ever had. A side of BBQ sauce was ordered but certainly not needed. The "Loaded" Baked Potato signature side was the only "Meh" part of the meal as the bacon was rubbery and not crisp. The skin on said potatos also have an inconsistent layer of salt caked onto them. Some may really enjoy this but for someone who would rather add salt themself than try to take it off i'll opt for the loaded mashed potatoes next time (maybe even omitting the bacon). At the end of the day this chain and location deserves a solid 4 Stars. Being what it is, sure the presentation really isn't the best (and i'm sure if you're waiting 1+ hours to be seated it could be a turn off) but their meats are cooked extremely well, is incredibly tasty, and offer an awesome value. I definitely look forward to visiting again and will most likely always opt to choose this chain over others that seem to have the same type of menu. read more

We texted and received a "we'll receive a text when our food was ready" text back. 6:00 still no text so we called. 6:15 while still on hold (!) we decided to go into the restaurant. Many people were waiting for the rolls. We got home and did not get a second order of rolls, we did not get the salad (both were paid for) and the ribs were burnt. The servers were doing their best, but it seemed like there was a shortage of much-needed staff. Worst experience ever, and paid for food we did not receive. Disappointing meal this evening. Walked in and was asked if I would like to pick out a hand cut steak for dinner. Why not, it's Saturday. Picked a beautiful 16 oz fillet. The hostess handed my a ticket stub and asked that I give it to the server when ordering. Now, a 16 oz fillet is a big, thick piece of meat. When I ordered, I asked for the fillet not to be butterflied and ordered it medium. I told her that I know it would take extra time, to bring my family's order out when it was ready and that o could wait. 15 minutes later a runner brought out meals out and my fillet was butterflied. Cutting it open, it was at least medium well, closer to well. No juice, nada. Although tender, the steak was dry. I told and showed my server the steak. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I told her that I did not, but would appreciate if she mentioned it to her. A couple minutes later, the manager, Anna, came by and asked how everything was. I told her about my fillet and how disappointed I was with how it was prepared and how dry it was. She offered to make me another. At this point I didn't want to take the extra time it would take to cook the big steak to medium, especially since my family was nearly done eating at that point. I told her I did t need a new steak and she said, " well, hopefully next time the cook it right". Ok. Again, DISAPPOINTED with the ruining of a nice piece of expensive meat.
