Cooked perfect with very good house seasoning and she said some of the best. I got fish hoagie special, $12.99. Less than half inch thick and bland breading with wilted lettuce and tomato and an upcharge for tartar sauce on fish. Server was very attentive and kept apologizing for long wait. Second visit and probably last. went on a sunday afternoon and entered dining room where there were only 3 other customers. Waited for about ten minutes and one of the customers says you have to beat on kitchen door to get service. So beat on door where kitchen staff and wait staff are all standing around talking. Wait staff says will be out in a few minutes. Place order for 6 wings seasoned and well done and pasta special. 25 minutes later get food and wings have very little seasoning and just barely cooked enough to be edible. I came to Meetheads with my family before seeing a musical at a nearby high school. We came in the winter, and I must first say that the patio looks awesome. The inside is a fairly small dining area and a bar area on the other side. I really liked the feel of this place. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, pulled pork for me, and Italian hoagie for my wife. My son got wings, which he really liked. My daughter just got a side salad. The menu is pretty extensive, focusing mainly on bar type food. Service was good. Our server was attentive and friendly. I'd like to go when the weather gets warmer and try the patio area. read more

Super cute spot! I wish I had pictures. Loved the outdoor tables - the big downfall is the parking lot. Yikes! The menu has a variety of different options. At first glance it looks like typical bar food, but honestly it's so much better! The scotch eggs - YUM! The fries are hand cut and done to perfection. The potato skins are homemade and literally hand carved deliciousness. The salads are plentiful. The pizzas were perfect! The wing sauces were tasty too! We had a big group before a high school football game so we got to see and try a variety of items. Everything was great. The staff was friendly too! Definitely would visit again! read more

House made chips were very good. Had some meatballs and sauce appetizer and i have to say those meatballs were at the top of my list of great meatballs. They are unlike any others in such an amazing way. Wings with dry rub were huge, tasty and weren't salty at all like most others. Chicken salad was very big and tasted wonderful . Only bad part was the salad in the bowls makes it kinda hard to cut it up more and eat it easily. I would make the trip just for the meatballs honestly but we will 100% return. read more

I ordered the special, which is posted on their Facebook page, the server was clueless. My fish sandwich arrived and it was NOT the sandwich on special. I informed the server and she didn't care. When I started to eat it, it was ALL breading, no fish. The server returned and again I pointed out the inconsistency and the fries were cold and hard. She asked what I wanted her to do, I said I didn't want another sandwich and she asked if I wanted to take the bun home. I told her no and reminded her again of her mistakes and she charged us for the wrong meal anyway. I gave them many chances and the food is subpar. It's out of town a few miles but it's easy to find on the GPS. It has enough parking I couldn't figure out how to get in because there were 3 doors of course the first 2 I pick we're locked. The place has a dining room and a bar in the other room I picked the dining room. It was wing night and I got a half dozen for $8,00 they were big and really good they also had s rack of ribs for $12.95 which was a good deal too. Went here for 2 burgers and a chicken salad with my family. Waited 1 1/2 hours for our food seated outside watching other people come and go with food bags in their hands. Very discouraging, and frustrating. Went home with our order (since we chose to eat outside we were told our food would be wrapped to go ) the 2 kids that were with me were wrapped up in a blanket i had in my car. It was getting cold. We were waiting for so long the sun went down. When our food finally arrived ( i had to walk to the bar and check on the status of my order) i took it and drove home. Opened up my salad at home realized there was no cheese for my fries. My husband had no cheese for his fries. He wanted pickle spear instead he received pickle slices. Fries were cold too. Came up from Pittsburgh this evening looking forward to a great meal with good friends. Well...the visit with our friends was wonderful, but this had to be the worst experience I've ever had with respect to customer service and wait time for food. My husband and I arrived at 6:20 pm. Our friends would be joining us around 7:00 so we got a table and wanted to order something to drink while we waited. At 7:00 a server stopped by, handed us two menus and took our drink order. Our friends were running late, so my husband said we would order now but we were told, "hey, we will get to you soon, we're really busy." Ok... Our friends arrived around 7:15 and we waited another 15 minutes for yet another server to come over and take their drink order and our food orders. At 8:30 I asked a server (who pretty much ignored us from 7:15 to 8:30) what the status of our meals were and she told us she didn't know, but that the kitchen was "backed up." Somehow waiting 2-1/2 hours for a chicken sandwich, a half a fish sandwich and six wings did not seem reasonable in our opinion so we told the server we were passing on our meals, would pay for the drinks and be on our way. She told us our food was ready and would be out "in a minute." 15 minutes later I was handed a bag with our food and the manager/owner(?) wanted to give us a cookie for our "inconvenience." We turned down this "kind" gesture and then had to wait another 10 minutes for the bill which was charged at the full price. That would not have bothered me except for the fact that our server let it slip that the table behind us was given a discount for THEIR inconvenience. I am so angry I can't speak. I was hungry, so I inhaled my chicken sandwich (which was very good) in the car while my husband drove us home (which takes about an hour). His fish sandwich was soggy and cold so I had to throw it out. He is eating strawberries for dinner and we paid $38 for nothing. We are not unreasonable people and are fully aware of the staffing shortage everywhere, but common courtesy and taking care of your customers has not been affected by the world's current situation and that is why I will not recommend this place to anyone, nor will we ever go back. read more

Near hits and some misses. The posted hours on yelp are wrong (still). They (according to door sign) open at 11:00 only Friday-Sunday. T-Th open at 4. Closed Monday. We ordered pizza. Sauce was typical with lots of cheese and good toppings. The dough was tasty as well. They need to increase the heat of the cook however. The dough was barely done and some of the cheese was just barely melted. Definitely not bubbly. It was a step above Dommys imho. Spaghetti with Traversa Sauce. Traversa's was the Italian restaurant that used to be in this location. It was a favorite of ours because of the tasty sauce. The sauce was pretty close to the original with the almost caramelized flavor we loved however it was a little too peppery hot to be the authentic flavor. Tasty however. Armellos bakery bread (a great local bakery) served with spaghetti, not fresh, previously frozen because a distinct refrigerator flavor that ruined a great bread. Butter very waxy - frozen also? I assume the restaurant is trying to cut costs by freezing but they are doing themselves a disservice due to the lack of quality control. Service was cordial and relatively quick compared to the other reviews we read. Waitress said everything fresh, we disagree based upon what we tasted. I suspect that our spaghetti sauce may even have been frozen. 3 stars could have been 4 or 5 except the quality control issues. Pizza, spaghetti and 2 draft beers $32. read more

Horrible service! We had to ask when our appetizers were coming out because it had been so long. The waitress brings them out and they're wrong! We ordered cheddar jalapeño poppers and she brought out fried jalapeño coins. Then for a party of 9 brings out only 6 plates. She did get the correct appetizer brought out after we told her it was wrong. Dinner was brought out and everyone got served except for my 10 year old son. We had to ask 3 more times about his meal before it was brought out - the second time we asked the waitress said the kitchen made him a pulled pork sandwich instead of the pulled pork burger. Three out of our party ordered pasta. The sauce was watery and bland. The chicken for the chicken Parmesan was dry and had the texture of beef jerky. Pulled pork burger was gross. We had to ask for refills. When we got our checks, we saw that the waitress had made the mistake with the appetizer and with ringing my son's order in wrong. Most restaurants at least offer to take something off the bill when they screw up that bad, but not this place. Not even an apology from a manager. Will NOT be going back here ever. read more

I have been to Meetheads in Vandergrift twice and both times the service and the food were excellent. First time I had the Meetheads Slammer and it was excellent! And it was huge! With it came chips with a sweet bbq flavor that made you eat and eat until they were gone. They were quite a surprise. Second time I went with friends on "Bar Trivia" night. We had so much fun! DJ was very friendly and everyone had a good time. We had wings that night and they tasted excellent but could have been cooked just a little more crispy. But the taste was great. They have a lot of beers to choose from. Good time, good eats place to go and prices are very reasonable. read more
