The sandwiches are very good and consistent over the years of my visits. The bar service is terrible. Bartenders over the last several years to present day consistently are rude, lazy and inattentive. They seem to talk/flirt with the men they know and if you are not recognized as a regular are ignored. I was just in here for a sandwich and a beer with a friend. Our empty bottles sat on the bar while we ate our sandwiches and the bartender (Jen) never glanced at us the many times she walked by because she had her nose buried in her phone. We easily could have had one or two more drinks each but instead paid, left and spent money elsewhere. With businesses struggling today and looking for more revenue you would expect they would have better basic service. read more

First time I went here, the bartender ignored us for a full 10-15 minutes while she sucked up to the regulars. The regular sitting beside me actually apologized. So I give the place another try 2 years later and ordered some hoagies to go. The buns were so stale they fell apart. Seriously, don't go here. Went out with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon, bartenders were rude and immature, and they have cameras in the bathrooms! Surprised they are still open. Went to the bathroom and was having some acid reflux issues, needless to say, the beer didn't sit well with me. When I came out of bathroom I ordered something else and the bartender told me I had to much to drink and she knows I vomited.... Wait, what? I was the only one in the bathroom and I was far from intoxicated. Niki's is a great place to go and have a drink/beer and/or really great food. The bartenders are all very nice and pay attention to each customer. Jared and Niki, the owners, are two amazing people who really know how to run a bar and cook great food. Niki makes all of their soups and it definitely makes you feel like you are right at home. The breadbowls are addicting! They have specials every day that you can find on their Facebook page and also on Yelp! that include drinks and food. Service was horrible on 3/21. We ordered two hoagies before walking out we checked the bag and only one was in there. We had to remind them that we bought two and the person working stated she forgot to put it in the bag. Once we got home there was no lettuce or tomato on the hoagie. Also, another family member ordered a taco salad and one of the girls working stated she never made a taco salad before. There obviously must be a lack of training with new employees. Once they got home they realized they never put it in the bag. We called back to tell them and they asked if we still wanted it and we said yes. The employee stated she could not get it to us for another 30 minutes because they were too busy. Once we got up there after waiting 30 minutes she wanted them to pay for it when it was already paid for before leaving. She tried pulling up the receipt but could not find it, they were standing there while an employee was talking on the phone for 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Moral of the story we never got the salad. Did not appreciate the service after family had tipped them very well. If you are looking for a good hoagie, this isn't the place. IF you would rather look down at the cleavage pushing out of a tight shirt, attempting to extort tips from the customers, it is the place. Hoagies are an afterthought, this is primarily a bar. When I was there, you had your choice of any cheese you wanted on your hoagie, as long as it was americanized, tasteless provolone. Hoagies are big, but you pay for it, and the meats, etc, nothing but lunchmeat, no artisan stuff here. Stopped by the vandergrift location. This place was rockin'! Had a hot Italian sub and it was great. Made on a fresh crusty roll that just made it fantastic. Prices were unbelievable. Under $5 for a hot, freshly made sub delivered to you by a friendly young lady. Try getting that in the burgh! New addition added a ton of room and makes this place like no other in the area. If you are nearby, it is definitely worth the stop. This is the new hot spot in the area. Look for it to be packed on weekends. The place is very nice inside. The beer selection is good. The food selection is sparse but good. The service is usually terrible 75% of the time. The bar staff looks at you like you are a space alien when you go in there...kind of like "WTH are you in here for". They are also not friendly....AT ALL. This is my favorite local place to get a hoagie. They actually put meat/cheese/vegetables on your hoagie unlike some places where the hoagie is mostly bread. These ladies know how to make a sandwich! Very large selection of beer which is always a plus. There are usually a number of people here, it's never been slow when I've went in to pick up beer/ a hoagie. I've never had anything else from the menu so I don't have any input on that. I also don't hang out at bars often, so no input on the nightlife. Prices are fair. read more

I stopped in on my way home to pick up some beer. Walked in and there where two customers arguing with each other. I waited for someone to come wait on me but the girls where too busy on there phones to notice me. As I waited the argument got louder, but no one working tried to stop it.
