What can I say about Texas Roadhouse? For me it is always fantastic choice for great steaks. The food is delicious and filling, and never disappoints. I love their warm dinner rolls and honey cinnamon butter, and often have to resist eating them in the beginning so I can have room for my actual meal. I have been to this location several times, it has lively atmosphere and the staff is always nice, attentive and polite. I never leave here disappointed or unsatisfied. Definitely recommend!

I've always heard about the rolls and butter and given the opportunity to eat here I said why not. The place is pretty no frills, loud, country music blaring. I got the sense that I was in a barn without the smell. They capture the aura of the south and its named appropriately. We were seated right away. Service was okay. The waitress was friendly enough but the food did take awhile to come out. Appetizers didn't interest us. We both ordered the 20 oz bone in ribeye. I got mines prepared medium with baked potatoes, broccoli and add on shrimp skewer. He got his prepared medium well, with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and rice. The rolls and cinnamon butter are overrated. Don't get me wrong. The rolls were warm, soft and the butter whipped and flavorful. But I make my own compound butter so it's not something I would have to come here for. I actually preferred the bread more savory. The grilled garlic butter shrimp I added on was served laying on a roll. This roll had salt sprinkled on the outside and was toasted coupled with the garlic butter juice soaked in. Delicioso. I would definitely preferred that served as the dinner rolls. The sweetness of the cinnamon butter also makes me want to skip dessert, which we did. My steak was prepared at the correct requested temperature. Beautiful grill marks, a nice char, tender and well seasoned. My only complaint was it was a little too fatty. The baked potato was the best one I've ever had. The inside was like chunky whipped mashed potatoes, tartness from the sour cream, buttery, seasoned the only thing that would've made it better was chopped chives. The fresh oniony flavor and texture would've been the chefs kiss. I asked if they had any the server said no. The shrimp was tasty and cooked perfectly. I couldn't finish all my food and ended up taking half home. It ate very well the next day. My dates rice looked too moist but he said everything was good. The top shelf margarita was okay. I asked for a tajin rim and they just sprinkled some on top. The sour mix wasn't house-made and had a weird aftertaste. I would dine again if I'm in the mood for a tasty steak without the hassle. Good food at a great price.

This was the best dining experience that I have had at any Texas Roadhouse. The service and food was amazing. Maddie was my server and she was excellent. Knowledgeable, Professional, Attentive, Nice and Friendly. The drinks were strong and so good. And of course the bread was delicious!

Went in the other night for dinner with my husband. It was one of the last nights of the year to enjoy a meal out before we started our healthy thing Jan 1. The server we had was also the bartender. He was awesome, attentive and friendly. Although he was tending to bar and table guests, we never felt neglected. My husband had a couple beers and we started with the cactus blossom. Nothing fancy. Don't yell at me but I like the one from Outback better =) I had the "roadkill" or the chopped steak. I really enjoyed it but couldn't help but notice how salty it was! Like realllly salty. They over did the salt with the seasoning. My husband had the sirloin and he said the same thing. The salad and the sides were good. He had fries and I had the fresh veggies. No complaints there. Unfortunately, we did not save room for dessert this time. I never had a bad experience at this location so I will continue to visit. I just hope they tune down the seasoning a tad bit.

Ceaser's Salad.... at least the beginnings of one. I think someone got distracted and didn't put but 1/2 of it together.

But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. But the service made up for it, and that's all the difference.

In fairness, the place was busy but that also is typical on a Sunday around noon. We had a party of 5 and had to wait approximately 20-30 minutes to be seated. We received our coffee and waters however there were no spoons in our napkin of silverware so we had to use knives to stir in the creamer and sugar for the coffee. The waitress also brought a drinking cup full of half-n-half to the table for us to use in our coffee. This made quite a mess since pouring from a drinking cup resulted in drips and spillage onto the table. It was busy so we could not get the attention of anyone to ask for spoons after we realized they were not in the napkins. Jokes of course ensued about whether we were to use our fingers to stir our hot coffee. Later, when our entree's arrived, they had put 2 separate orders onto one plate and even though we requested fruit on the side for our french toast, the fruit was on top of the toast. These were all little, irritating things which combined made the dining experience memorable but for the wrong reasons.

You can tell people really like this place. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the classic Eggs Benedict, which here comes with an interesting twist -- they add cheddar cheese. That was new to me. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage. They didn't ask patty or link, so we rolled the dice -- it came as links, and she wasted no time eating them. The waffle filled her up quickly. Fresh blueberries on top, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and sweet in all the right ways. When my Eggs Benedict arrived, it looked a little small at first and the potatoes barely filled the plate. But don't let that fool you. What a flavor. What a presentation. The hollandaise was perfect -- thick enough that it barely dripped off the muffins. Once the creamy yolk broke and mixed into that sauce, it was game over. The cheddar addition actually works, giving the whole dish another layer of richness. This is top-tier classic Benedict. Coffee was solid, the atmosphere cozy, and the pricing surprised me in a good way. My daughter's meal was $5.99, with only a $0.75 upcharge for juice, which is hard to beat these days. Good service, good food, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat. We'll definitely be back!!!

My fiance wanted a particular French mushroom dish and this restaurant happened to have it. Add to it the Noir French Jazz vibes and it makes for one heck of a date. The service was quick and courteous. The show girls were a ton of fun and the band was talented. My fiancée was surprised and very happy with the whole experience. My girl quite hilariously said that the bread was tragically authentic, LOL! She's not wrong, it was pretty hard but it was also very good. The duck confit and savory crépe I would have loved it if they made that into an entree because I'd have eaten a whole plate of it. It was delicious! The short rib bourguignon was super tender, very delicious but the serving size is pretty small. I was surprised I ended up feeling full at the end but it's probably cuz I ate plenty of the bread and drinking and all that good stuff. The wild mushroom dish was very flavorful but my girl wasn't quite as fond of the puff pastry acting as the bowl. Outside of that we both loved it. It's not a cheap date, but it is a good date. I'm glad we went! This is definitely a place I feel comfortable recommending if you're looking for a little more high-end night out.

My husband and I had dinner at Monarque for the first time last Friday…read more Monarque is Atlas's French restaurant, located at the end of Atlas Quarter on Fleet Street (you pass Italian Disco, Tagliata, and the Elk Room, and walk straight to the end of the alley). Their menu might be classic French, but none of the entrees spoke to me. It was a warm late spring/almost summer night, and I found their menu to be heavy and not very seasonal. I wanted something lighter, something more spring. Since the entrees weren't calling to us, we stuck to the small plates/hors d'oeuvres section of the menu and shared: Potato & Leek Soup (butter croutons and garlic chive oil); Salad Lyonnaise (soft boiled egg, bacon lardons, endive, frisee, and radishes); tableside beef tartare (verjus mustard, capers, tomato, truffle); short rib pappardelle (truffled egg yolk, red onion, Parmesan, and short rib ragu); and Iberico Secreto (apple butter, macerated cranberries, hazelnuts, and microsage). Of these, I'd say we enjoyed the soup and the iberico the best. The beef tartare wasn't cut/diced or mixed very well despite the very fun tableside preparation. The pasta had a truffle oil pungency that isn't for us, so I wouldn't order that dish again, but otherwise the food was pretty good. I do think there is better French food in Baltimore, but Monarque offers something special. The service is great. The wine and cocktails are great. The decor is cool. But best of all? Thursday-Sunday, Monarque hosts Monarque After Dark. Burlesque, cabaret, live jazz music... At Monarque, it's dinner with a show. The performers we saw were great. Monarque After Dark made our night. If the food didn't blow me away, the experience still did. FYI the music is quite loud, so I wouldn't recommend dinner at Monarque if you prefer a quieter dinner! We had a great time at Monarque. I'd certainly return - next time for some drinks, oysters, and shrimp cocktails and the show!
