Pulled off a surprise birthday celebration here for a dear friend. Our party of 20 felt cramped in the area provided for us, but with the layout of the restaurant perhaps it's the best they could do. The arrangement traps one side of the table against the wall, so preemptive potty trips are a good idea. For a party so large, I was really impressed with how our server and his assistant kept up. Orders were accurate and delivered in a timely manner. Drinks were replenished promptly and the table was cleared properly. I tend to select one of the more budget-friendly options on their menu. Definitely appealing on this occasion since I was covering the bill for multiple people. The Beef Tips Country Dinner for $17.49 was a decent, loaded entree. Unfortunately I never received my included side of green beans but failed to notice in time. Next time I'll probably go with a full steak since they do look very appetizing. I've always been a fan of Texas Roadhouse and only wish they had a location closer to Orange County! Of course, I had to start with their famous warm bread and cinnamon butter. It was so addictive that I probably ate more than I should have before my entrée even arrived. I accidentally ordered the prime rib when I had originally wanted the ribeye, but it turned out to be a happy mistake. The prime rib was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The portions here are definitely generous. The sides were massive, though they were a bit too salty for my taste, so I wasn't able to finish them. What really stood out was the service. Our waiter was fantastic and constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Before our drinks were even close to empty, he was already bringing fresh refills of water, Coke, and root beer. That level of attentiveness definitely elevated the experience. We did takeout from Texas Roadhouse on Semoran last night around 7pm and had a great experience. We ordered the family burger meal, which comes with four burgers with all the toppings, sides of fries, and a family-sized salad. This meal definitely fills the whole family up and is a great value for the amount of food you get. Since it was takeout, we stayed in the car and the host came out to bring us our order. I recently stopped by this location for dinner the other night since I was around the area. The location had a good amount of parking within its own parking lot for easy access. The decor on the inside was of course the company's nostalgic decor...very country and backyard bbq vibes! Upon entering, we were greeted and seated almost immediately. Our server was absolutely fantastic. She was very attentive and was very knowledgeable of the menu! For drinks, I order their famous $5 margarita. The drink tasted mostly like margarita mix but hey...for that price can't beat it! For food I ordered the sirloin steak w/ a loaded baked potato and chili. I would say the flavor was good but.. The Review: I had not been to Texas Roadhouse in a while and normally I'll order along the lines of chicken or a sandwich but this evening I went with a steak. It was cooked to perfection without need for added sauce, definitely meeting the expectations that come with a steakhouse, and the chain. The cinnamon butter biscuits were fantastic and I enjoyed the variety of drinks they offer on the menu that include free refills! The staff was friendly, though it was not especially busy and seemed to only come over when it was time for ordering or food delivery. There also were tables nearby that remained uncleaned the whole time (but staff visibly together nearby) so while our experience was good it is an area that could be improved (attentiveness). So with our dinner, it was a hit or slight miss. My prime rib was excellent, other dishes were the combo steak and ribs, steaks was above average, ribs were a little on the salty side, shrimps were good, and the chicken fried chicken, according to my brother-in-law was meh, chicken dry, gravy was bland. My meal was a 5, but the average score for the overall meals for our entire party was 4 stars. Taste and service was good other than it too a little longer than it should have to be seated with an empty restaurant. By far! The largest negative is the UNadvertised charge to play the games in the screen at the table. No sign, no warning before the game starts, it just shows up on your check at the end. Do I wish they brought bread out faster and with more butter in the little dish? Yes, but that's because I love it so much. Today we decided (reluctantly at first I might add) to give this same location another shot! I am so happy we did. We went as a family to this location, and we honestly hadn't been in years. I've only been there once before. I will say that the service really impressed me. The staff, the waitress, and the manager were all very nice and very apologetic. We ordered a bone-in ribeye, and when it came out, there was a piece of hair in the meal. We were completely disgusted. We told our waitress, and the manager came over, apologized, and took it back. They brought out a new steak, but it was extremely raw. The manager apologized again and explained that bone-in steaks can be tricky for the chefs because they try not to burn them, but this one was just way too raw. She took it back again. By the time everything went back and forth, we were no longer hungry. They did take eight dollars off, which we appreciated, but the entire experience was disappointing. The staff were very nice, but the meal itself was absolutely disgusting. Will I go back to this location? Absolutely not. We were completely turned off by the whole thing.
