My boyfriend and I showed up around 5:30pm on a Friday night without a reservation and was so lucky to be seated right away. We were sat in the large dining room. I loved the nostalgic steakhouse ambiance from the checkered table cloths to the lit candle on each table. I started with a glass of Linda's red wine. It was smooth and delicious. The bread brought to the table was warm and was so good. I knew I had to get a steak here so I got the mini surf and turf where I got a 4 oz. bacon wrapped filet and 6 spicy shrimp. The entree comes with a house salad and a sode which I chose spaghetti. All of this for only $34. You cannot beat this price. My food was fantastic. The salad was decent in size and the croutons are delicious. The filet had such a good bacon flavor, cooked to perfection, and had the best sear. No notes. So good. The shrimp were cooked great. The spaghetti was like having an entree with a side entree. The meat sauce was very good too. We finished our meals with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. The cake was so moist and rich. Birthday dinner #3 was at Linda's and our server Chad was fantastic ! We sat by the bar area and had a glass of wine before our table was ready and it was very loud but expected as they were a lot of large parties dining. Chad took good care of the kids and ensured their food was our first , appetizers and drinks were served nice and fresh and then the entrees arrived. They placed a birthday candle on my ribeye and half of the restaurant engaged in singing my happy birthday which was embarrassing but super sweet . This restaurant is a local gem that I had to try when I was in the Orlando area. It's very busy so be prepared to wait or make a reservation ahead of time. An old school steakhouse on the outskirts of Orlando. Don't let the name fool you, it's definitely not a Mexican restaurant. This place was rocking dinner throughout the evening. The crowd never seemed to let up. We had a group of 12 and were taken care of well by our servers. Appetizers had a bar-type feel. Think blooming onions and mozzarella sticks. But the steak selections really wowed. It was actually recommended to get a chopped steak, which was kind of like a hamburger patty meets steak. I have heard about this place for years and finally had a chance to try it. The place has a classic vibe without feeling old timey. you can tell there is history there but still feels contemporary like a place you would bring a date or a business prospect. The mozzarella sticks seemed to be made in house as well as the ranch and the baked potatoes were loved by all The one Item i would delete from the menu and make a big deal out of is the fries. Awful steak fries, tasteless and soggy, the only hint of flavor in them was the taste of the oil they soaked up, I recommend you get absolutely anything else. I love the idea of a side of spaghetti it made me smile. And the key lime pie... Oh the key lime pie I am grateful that I got to taste it during my time in this green earth. The food is absolutely divine. Unfortunately for guests it's always booked and busy. I made my reservation for Father's Day on April 1st. But the bar is first come first serve. It was three of my family members first time. They enjoyed everything though my sister expressed that her snapper was a little salty. For my entrée I had the Surf and Turf which included a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon, Spicy Shrimp, a House Salad and Steak Fries. The steak was tender, juicy, cooked to a nice medium rare and wrapped in a meaty bacon. The shrimp was tender but not spicy (as indicated on the menu). The salad and fries were ok. I recommend skipping the fish dishes. My mom ordered the fish and it was very chewy like it had been frozen for a long period of time and had to send it back. I ordered the ribeye steak and had very high expectations, but the entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. To begin with, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. Instead, we ended up waiting well over an hour and a half to be seated. That alone was frustrating. When the steak finally arrived, it looked burnt or heavily charred on top. At first, I wondered where the actual grill marks were. After taking a bite, I was even more disappointed. The ribeye seemed drenched in oil rather than finished with butter, and all I could taste was grease. There was very little flavor, and it seemed like no effort had been made to season it with even basic salt and pepper. The minestrone soup was also a letdown. Instead of a traditional Italian minestrone, it seemed to be mostly corn and peas with very little resemblance to what I expected. The pasta dish wasn't much better--it was oddly spicy, yet somehow still bland and lacking any real flavor. After waiting that long, I can honestly say it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. I would rather eat at Ruth's Chris, Texas Roadhouse, or LongHorn Steakhouse than return here. The service was just as disappointing. During our entire visit, we saw our waiter fewer than four times--once to take our order, once to bring bread and soup, once to deliver our meals, and then a quick "Is everything okay?" before disappearing again. I genuinely cannot fathom the hype surrounding this restaurant. Between the hour-and-a-half wait, inattentive service, flavorless food, and disappointing steak, the experience fell far short of expectations. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

It's one of those places where everything on this visit was great. Honestly, I'd make my reservation at least a month in advance because I was unable to make a reservation, but you can arrive and wait for a table, and that will take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Yes, it's always busy, and super popular but definitely with good reason. We arrived at 5:30 and ended up only having to wait 45 minutes. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and surprisingly quick in getting our requests in. When I say everything was good, even the salad that's usually boring and a mild distraction until real food arrives was amazing. The dressings were delicious, the croutons, the crisp and fresh vegetables, honestly; terrific salad. I had the small surf n turf that comes with the 4 oz filet and 6 oz blackened snapper; delicious, and that baked potato with sour cream and chives was one of the best baked potatoes I've ever had honestly. We ended up going last night for a reservation at 8 PM. We got there at about 745 and checked in but we're not sat until about 8:25. We did have a larger party of 10 so I understand that sometimes that particular table may have been busy. We started off with alcoholic beverages and appetizers. I ended up just getting the house Cabernet, which was very good and reasonably priced. We ended up getting the fried mushrooms, bourbon bites, and the blooming onion. All were delicious. To eat I ended up getting the mini surf and turf, which was a good side portion and came with a side salad with the house vinaigrette again very good and the blackened fish and mini filet mignon were also really really good. They know how to season a steak. We are so full that neither my husband or I did not get dessert but one of our friends didn't get the coconut cake, which looked amazing. Definitely would come again. Phenomenal place to dine! The wait is worth it! We were suppose to wait for an hour and a half for 3 people. But then we ended up bringing along my nephew so we had to change the amount and bump it up to 4 people instead of 3. After changing the number of people we were seated right away. I don't know if an odd number people makes it a bit more difficult to find seating or what but we were happy. After sitting the waiter took down our drink order. Then he came back to take our appetizer order. Everything moved fairly quick and little wait. As we got our appetizers we started taking pictures. The place is a bit dim so we had to put our flash on. As we got our food we took pics and tried eachothers food. Great way to try different dishes at a time without over spending. It's been hard to find a great steakhouse so I've been cooking it at home, but Linda's really did an outstanding job on keeping the flavor of the steak and not hiding it with a ton of seasoning. The 1.5lb Tbone was cooked to medium rare perfection. The sides were pretty basic but the made in-house croutons on the house salad were buttery & crunchy.
