Second time I have been here got to say, their servers work hard! Extremely helpful and ATTENTIVE! Ladt time was breakfast today was lunch The soup was GOOD! It was hot, tasty and filling The sandwhich was stuffed and nicely toasted Prices are what they are now (over $50 for 3 breakfast/lunch). No complaint from ne. I'd go back BUT do be aware, this is not a big place so you may have to sit at the counter during peak times. read more

I read a article online concerning this restaurant. This is a true mom and pop restaurant. I love breakfast food and this company makes available good food. Stopped in with the family around 11- some of us wanted breakfast and some of us wanted lunch so I was happy that we ended up here. We were seated and quickly attended to. They had holiday decor up which was nice. I had a blt sandwich and fries- it was good- could have done with a couple extra pieces of bacon but it was still good. My husband had biscuits with gravy, corn beef hash and a fried egg. My kid had a t-bone with house potatoes and eggs. The steak was a good portion and cooked as requested. They liked the flavor so much that they requested to take home is whatever they couldn't eat which is rare for that kid. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Tucked in at the end of the plaza, you cannot go wrong with this local breakfast diner. The service is always friendly and in true diner fashion the service is as though they know you personally on a casual level. The cooks do a fantastic job keeping up orders with great flavors to meet expectations. They offer daily specials, though definitely compare with normal prices as sometimes they may not actually be as good a deal than for $1 or $2 more getting a full serving. The menu is surprisingly varied with breakfast and lunch options. If you have not been, and are looking for a true local experience, you have to stop in. You'll be glad you did! read more

We were looking for a "mom and pop" breakfast spot and found Jack & Mary's thanks to Yelp! It was just what we were looking for, homestyle breakfast with friendly and efficient service and great tasting food. While watching the interactions, it was obvious that this spot has a lot of regulars. It was great to see the staff speaking to so many customers by name. This small locally owned diner has been around for as long as I can recall. It wasn't until I went with my cousin one morning that I realized this was as close to an authentic diner as one could get. It is small, chaotic, but you can tell it's run smoothly. They will have all your standards, pancakes, eggs, omelets, along with favorites like country fried steak, steak and eggs. Don't forget to look at the specials board. On my visit they had cabbage with beef soup, and blueberry biscuits. I couldn't pass up the blueberry biscuits and took 2 home. I didn't see waffles on the menu. That would be the only tradition breakfast item I did not see. Shop local. read more

This is a greasy spoon breakfast place. This is not fine dining. It gets 5 stars for being awesome at being exactly what it is. This is not a place you go to for posting pics/vids online about the super unique hip place you found. Do you like breakfast? Come here Do you like paying a very reasonable price for it? Come here Do you like simple food that probably isn't the best for you? Come here Do you want to eat with normal, everyday people eating breakfast? Come here I love eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes, hashbrowns, and juice. By default I then like Jack & Mary's. I absolutely love this place. From the service, price, and food I'm a fan. So first off this would be considered an off the beaten path type of place. They serve breakfast and lunch. I've been here a couple of times and have always been happy. The food is down home comfort food and I loved it. Most recently i got the steak and eggs, the steak was perfectly medium. The only flaw was it wasn't seasoned enough for me, but a bit of salt and pepper solved that. The eggs were over easy as requested and the Louisiana hot sauce added the needed kick. Open since 1982, mom and pop diner in a strip mall. I was there on Father's Day and it was packed but still got good service at counter. Good portions, reasonable prices, fun to watch an experienced server at work when anyone else would have had a meltdown with the big crowds. Enjoyed it very much. read more

The thing that makes this a place to go is the local feel and excellent, friendly service. Stopped in for breakfast before going to the airport. Just nine minutes from MCO. Service was fast and efficient. May be a little bit too fast since I was killing time before my flight. But you will not be left with wanting your coffee, warmed up or needing anything. The breakfast is like you would cook at home. Fresh ingredients and nothing fancy. Just a good all around homestyle breakfast. The hashbrowns were really good and perfectly crispy. I appreciated the waitresses recommendation for onions. Both the waitress and the cook thanked me for coming in as I left. You really got the feeling that they appreciated your business. read more

Just discovered this little cafe a few weeks back & it is literally 10 minutes from our house. It's very very small inside and there is almost always a line out the door when we have been. The few things I've tried is the chicken fried steak with potatoes & gravy. Really good but it is frozen & cooked to order so expect a wait time for that. Today I had the French toast with eggs, bacon & sausage. I wasn't a fan of the sausage at all but the bacon was on point. The French toast was cooked perfectly as well as the eggs. I did order a side of hash browns & they were perfect. Our waitress ( Beca ) was a sweetheart and literally works her rear off. She never once stopped filling coffee and running orders the entire time we were there. We will be regulars here for sure read more

Has a local diner atmosphere in plaza next to Goodwill. I didn't know what to expect as it was my first visit and to my surprise it was busy, so that gave me hope for the taste of a home style cooked breakfast with bacon. Seated almost right away at one of the last two available tables in the back. Diligent service and inexpensive prices!! Had country fried steak w/gravy, hash brown and eggs. It was good, I'd visit again for sure and recommend the same. Earlier the better, as getting there late morning could be a full house. I give this a 4-star, as I think the food could have used a bit more salt but that could also be a personal preference. read more

You might miss this place if you are just going past, but definitely worth the stop in. This is that classic diner that the locals know is good and are happy to keep it a secret. A good hearty breakfast and it was very tasty! The gravy had large pepper in it and it added a really nice flavor. French toast was lovely and the eggs cooked perfectly. The country fried steak was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Definitely will come back to try their lunch menu read more

Great omelet with onions, sausage, bacon, and ham, American cheese on top. A side of crunchy home fries with onions. Nothing more needs said, it was a great breakfast. Cozy and welcoming, the food was very homey, just what you would expect in this mom and pop diner. So my daughter needed a rise to the airport. Her flight was at 630am so I was not happy and I knew I would be hungry. Luckily we found this place for a very early breakfast and they were open. We were warmly greeted and told to sit where we liked. After scanning the menun and getting our coffee cups filled I ordered 3 pancakes and sausage links and fresh squeezed OJ. The coffee here is good, in the medium roast side. My OJ came pretty quickly and it tasted oh so good. My pancakes arrived and they were huge, flavorful, and expertly cooked. The sausage too was expertly cooked and tasty with just an edge of crispness. Niki was happy to add that her eggs were cooked perfectly and her bacon and hashbrowns too were very tasty. Give this place a try. It's a no nonsense diner and you will leave full and happy. read more

Most diners have horrible service, but this place had the best service we have ever encountered in a diner. Our server was Becca and she was the absolute sweetest and best! Our food came out very quickly and super fresh. She checked up on us several times. We ordered 2 pancakes w/ chocolate chips, an omelette w/ hashbrowns, and the 1/4 lb burger with fries. This is a rather no frills diner. It has good food at a good price without any bells and whistles. Player 2 and I put this in rotation with IHOP and Cracker Barrel. It's a nice change up. Hot Tip: best thing on the breakfast menu is the potatoes. Goes very nice with scrambled eggs and bacon. read more

Taste: (6/10) It was a simple meal. Not too salty. Bacon was decent. It doesn't taste bad! Nothing over the top though. Appearance: (7/10) Nothing exquisite in the presentation. Had to move a few pieces just to make it look photo ready. Value: (9/10) it wasn't expensive. This dish cost me around $13. Very affordable. General Comment: I didn't leave, full, but it was a decent breakfast. Their sweet tea is pretty good too. If you want a simple breakfast with fast service, you should come here. I'd recommend getting the food "to go" since it's a smaller place and gets full fast. read more

3 1/2 stars Well I walked in and it was busy so I hesitated. However, I was still got caught up with the smell of breakfast and lunch being cooked fresh! So omelette it is. Served pretty fast, helped right away and it was good! I got the meat lovers which tasted delicious. The ham was cut in short cubes along with small pieces of sausage and bacon. It was well cooked even though those small pieces of meat could have been larger! Or maybe my appetite should be smaller??!! Hmmm The staff was helpful, the ambiance needed some Tlc for the bathroom. When I travel I try to find local spots. This is one that provided great food and conversation. I met some who had been coming here for 30 years and keep coming. The staff is very friendly and will banter with you if that is your kind of thing. The place seats enough for 42. Has a sit at the bar or tables and booth. The servers taken pride in their work and serve in many ways including making the gravy. The owner was there and served me as well. It is fast and convenient. Located in a strip mall. I loved this place so much I went back the next day before my flight took off. They remembered me. I saw some of the same locals and the service was the same as the day before. Jack and Mary, the original owners, started this restaurant in East Orlando with the hope of attracting local patrons who enjoy a homemade breakfast and lunch. It wasn't long before the word got out and the restaurant was often very busy. They were one of the first business started in the East Orlando area. The tradition of serving great breakfasts and lunches, prompt friendly service, at reasonable prices, continues to this day.

This is one of the most friendly and welcoming businesses in central Florida, and I absolutely adore them for it. This place is counter order with full table service. I believe before the pandemic that you self served drinks, but the full service change has definitely been for the better. They've got a rotating list of specials that you can see on their instagram too. This place always delivers quality food. Their fried chicken is excellent, I've never seen an overcooked egg, their grits are amazing, their gravies are perfect, their biscuits are to die for, and their Mac n cheese is creamy delicious goodness. I haven't tried their lunch menu myself because I can't bring myself to not order breakfast. Between the Minnie pearl, three little pigs, seventh trimester, their specials, and even their sausage sandwich, nothing on a lunch menu could ever tempt me away. And don't even get me started on their bakery! Their bakery is a separate counter with cakes, cookies, handpies, brownies, and whoopie pies. Their selection is rotating and I've genuinely never been disappointed. Usually I have to take their stuff to go because I'm so full from breakfast, and it's usually pretty rich. This place is an Orlando staple and I hope they're open and successful for as long as they wish to be. I know I'll be back as long as they're still cooking.

It's like a team effort to take care of the customers all the staff work together. The environment is fairly fast paced. Everyone working there walking around cleaning, serving food and being attentive to those who ask for something. Definitely a really good place to have a bit to eat with friends, family or just your honey. I know I'm always looking forward to eating there.

It gets pretty loud in the dining area. They also have a bar and outdoor sitting area. Our waitress was very nice, polite and attentive.
