Last night I found a food truck downtown, Arepaso de Orlando…read more They are open Wednesdays through Saturday nights at Washington and court basically across from Gringos Locos. They have only 3 items: Venezuelan Arepas Ham and grilled cheese sandwiches($7) Colombian hamburgers The Arepas($5) are filled with either shredded beef and cheese or chicken and cheese. The photo on their menu shows crappy American cheese but that isn't what they put on it, they use a white shredded type cheese. The Arepas themselves are white but not really sweet and they cut it in half to open it up like you would a pita and stuff the ingredients inside. They have 3 sauces in squeeze bottles you can put on as much as you like. Garlic sauce, Tartara and a Spicy one. I asked him a few times what peppers were in the spicy one but he just kept saying chili. All of the sauces had a similar white consistency but my fav was the garlic. The spicy one was good too but it wasn't very spicy just a little. I didn't get to try the other 2 items but the Colombian guy working there said they were really good. They also sell soda and water, go try em out after you have danced your booty silly and are wasted out of your mind, then they will taste like heaven in your hand. He said they usually stay open until about 3:30 AM #OrlandoFoodTrucks

Thankfully, this truck is relatively close to where I live (according to Chris R.'s review, it's downtown), so maybe I'll catch it sometime. I always rotate between the Venezuelan Burger and Arepa. Both two are their main menu options. My favorite items are the Mixed Arepa which includes Chicken, Beef, Pork, Cheese, Pink and Garlic Sauce. Another top favorite is the Sweet Burger. The sweet onion bacon, potato sticks, and pineapple sauce is an absolute game changer! Our food always comes out cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Their appetizers are also amazing. We always get the Tequeños and Salchipapas. Pricing is extremely fair. Service is good. Ambiance is the great outdoors with two comfortable zero-gravity chairs. Definitely a must if you're in the downtown area and looking for a very satisfying meal.

As part of the American Airlines AAdvantage Dining program, we decided to give Maracaibo Mia a try…read morewhile visiting Orlando, and I'm glad we did because the food was undoubtedly the highlight of the experience. The menu offers a flavorful taste of Venezuelan cuisine, and every dish we ordered was prepared with care and packed with authentic flavors. From the first bite, it was clear that the kitchen is the star of the show. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was appealing without being overdone. If you're looking for a place to enjoy well-executed Venezuelan comfort food, Maracaibo Mia delivers. That said, there are a few areas where the restaurant could elevate the overall experience. The location isn't the most convenient or inviting compared to some of Orlando's dining destinations, and it lacks the atmosphere that would make it a destination restaurant on its own. Service was courteous but somewhat inconsistent, with opportunities to be more attentive and proactive throughout the meal. Pricing is another area that could use some adjustment. While the food quality is very good, the overall value proposition feels slightly out of balance when considering the location and service experience. A more competitive price point or enhanced service would make the total experience feel more aligned with what guests are paying. Overall, Maracaibo Mia is worth a visit, especially if you're earning AAdvantage Dining rewards and want to enjoy excellent Venezuelan food. The kitchen is doing great work, and with some improvements to service, atmosphere, and value, this could easily become a standout spot in Orlando.

Our waitress was also wonderful, she was friendly, attentive, and consistently checked in on our table to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. We started with the Tabla Bulla, which was a great way to sample different flavors. The Patatas Bravas were especially delicious, and if you enjoy a little spice, I definitely recommend giving them a try. The Spanish Ham Croquettes are always a must for me, and I loved how well the flavor paired with the accompanying guava jelly, that sweet and savory combination was fantastic. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try the Albóndigas because they were already sold out for the night, but that's just another reason to come back next time! For our main dish, we shared the Seafood Paella, and it was definitely a highlight of the meal. It was savory, flavorful, and packed with seafood, making it a great choice for anyone who loves seafood. The portion was also generous enough to comfortably feed our party of five when sharing it with the other dishes. Of course, we couldn't end the night without something sweet. We finished with the Churros and Coconut Flan, and both were delicious ways to wrap up the meal. Overall, between the great atmosphere, attentive service, generous portions, and delicious food, Bulla Gastrobar made for a wonderful night out. We'll definitely be coming back.

That set a great tone and our server, Hannah, kept it going. Even with the dining room busy, she was a total pro. Attentive, friendly, and totally on top of things without a single dip in service quality. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Truffle Carbonara 5/5! Absolutely fantastic. It was rich, creamy, and loaded with generous amounts of mushrooms and bacon. If you're ordering a comforting pasta dish, this is the way to go. Pollo al Chilindrón 1/5. Unfortunately, a major miss. The menu describes it as pan-seared, but the chicken had zero sear and no flavor. The red pepper stew lacked depth, and the accompanying rice was equally bland. If this were a quick frozen meal from Trader Joe's, you might forgive it, but coming out of a restaurant kitchen, it just doesn't land. Go for the great service and a stellar carbonara but I'll definitely be steering clear of the chicken next time. Hope they tighten up that recipe!

As I always say when I write my reviews when I order to go: I can't speak on ambiance. Regarding service, they packed up our order pretty quick and it was delivered earlier than the estimated time which was nice. I got us a few things to share: TEQUEÑOS (order of 5 minis), CACHAPA DE QUESO, AREPA PELUA (FRIED/FRITA), AREPA DOMINO (GRILLED/ASADA) + sauces: CILANTRO & GARLIC/AJO Y CILANTRO, PINK SAUCE l/SALSA ROSADA, CHIPOTLE HOT SAUCE/PICANTE. Everything was delicious! We always love tequeños. I wish more restaurants served the bigger ones, but the minis are still yummy. The cachapa had the perfect sweet-salty balance. My favorite item today was the arepa pelua. We ordered it fried, so it was nice and crispy on the outside and stuffed with flavorful meat and cheese. The arepa domino was also delicious. The black beans could have had a bit more seasoning, but it still hit the spot. All 3 sauces we ordered were great. My mom, my sister, and I each picked a different favorite! Mine today was the cilantro garlic, my mom's was the chipotle hot sauce (while not actually spicy, it had great flavor), and my sister's was the pink sauce. As for prices, it's pretty expensive, but I find most Venezuelan restaurants I've ordered from to be! We look forward to ordering more from here soon!
