Wings were good, nothing special. Fries were bad, came out soggy and cold, as if they've been sitting under a heat lamp. No salt on them. A shame because the sage chicken and red snapper entrees were very good and well cooked. Ambiance was not great, definitely felt like you were sitting in a cafeteria of a hotel lobby. Bright fluorescent lighting offered a very stale vibe. Service was mid, watched the server do something else while our drinks sat at the bar for at least 10 minutes. Then she hollered across the restaurant for the host to bring it over to us.

This restaurant is located inside the A Loft Hotel. The hosts were very nice and accommodating . The location is spacious, clean and artsy. The waitress was very pleasant and patient she explained the food items to us. We came after Happy Hour which stops at 7. I recommend this if you want excellent customer service. The waitress Arianna is an outstanding waitress and has great customer service skills.

I went the other night with my husband and had a wonderful time! We showed up not knowing what to expect, since it's part of a hotel, but everything was great! The restaurant was beautiful and clean! It was a quiet night, but our waitress was super attentive and made sure everything was okay. The food was absolutely delicious, we decided to try a few appetizers and every single one was great! The drink I got, called the boombox came in a fun mug!! I will definitely be coming back to this place again!!

Tempo + Grace is located inside the Aloft Hotel in Lake Nona and is such a good addition to the Nonahood!! Located just down the road from USTA, Tempo + Grace is a handcrafted kitchen with dishes made from locally sourced ingredients and it has a really cute sports theming inside. Right next to Tempo + Grace is the W XYZ Bar which offers some delicious cocktails and a really great drink menu that you can get in the restaurant. We started with some cocktails and I got their signature Boombox Cocktail which was so delicious and came in the cutest glassware. My husband picked the Heroes Cocktail which was also delicious and made with Casamigos Tequila, which we love. Next up was an appetizer and we picked the Muhammara and it was incredible!!! Probably my favorite thing of the entire meal. For our main dishes we had the Grilled Flat Iron Steak and the Seared Atlantic Salmon. I LOVED the salmon and it had an amazing crunch to it since it had crispy quinoa on top. For dessert we picked The Dublin Chocolate Cake which was so yummy and the perfect size. We really liked the chocolate ganache that was on the plate with it. YUM. Since we live only 10 minutes or so from the Aloft hotel we will for sure be coming back to Tempo + Grace soon to try out some other menu items. They serve brunch on Sundays so I am pretty sure that is what we will check out next.

Great new restaurant that opened up inside Aloft. Nice atmosphere within the restaurant. Food was very tasty. Loved the crunch of the quinoa and mint oil with the salmon. Service was great, the server was knowledgable of items on the menu. Can't wait to see the menu expand and will be back to try other items on the menu here.

Side Kale Caesar & Sage Butter Chicken (already ate 1 piece of chicken before pic)

Food is always 10/10 at Tempo & Grace. We started off with the deviled eggs and grilled smoked chicken wings. The deviled eggs were on the mustardy side, which I love. The wings had a nice spice mix, right amount of smoke, and good texture. The jalapeño ranch dip elevated the wings in the best way. For dinner, we split the sage butter chicken (comes with two big pieces of chicken) which came with parsnip purée, bourbon glazed carrots and bulgar and also got a side kale Caesar salad. The chicken was so moist and juicy. The waitress mentioned they inject the chicken with the sage butter and it paid off. The parsnip purée was like something I never had. Had restraint to not lick the plate. Carrots were also really good in the bourbon glaze. The star for me was the kale salad. Between the homemade dressing, the crunchy sourdough croutons, the chunks of cheese and roasted tomatoes, it was the best bite of food. They need to bottle that dressing. I also loved that they used purple kale, which was my first time having. Very crunchy and stood up to being well dressed (not over dressed- perfectly dressed). The restaurant has a very nice hip vibe, very Lake Nona. And the wait staff is always on point. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

This place was quiet on a Thursday. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The drinks and food were excellent and the ambiance was cozy.

Cocktails and appetizers (boom box cocktail) highly recommend!

This was an AWESOME experience! I came here with 5 other work friends, after hosting 2 days of…read moreevents at the Hyatt Regency in the Orlando Airport. We were dying for a place with fresh air and outdoor seating, so a colleague found Canvas and we were all completely on board. This exceeded all expectations. The outdoor table in a covered area on the lake was just what we needed and the space itself is beautiful. Our server was Elizabeth and she was someone who has a real gift for delivering great hospitality. We were a larger, last minute group and she really took great care of us so we were all grateful to be seated in her section and all said how excellent she was at her job. The drink list was awesome and they had a great variety of cocktails, mocktails, and wines by the glass/bottle. I had a watermelon ranch water to start, that was so light and refreshing, plus really unique. I then moved onto wine, but my colleagues ordered a variety of drinks like the Lake Side Collins, Espresso Martini, and Blood Orange Cosmo. One in our group who is pregnant really enjoyed the mocktails on the menu. We started with a few apps that Elizabeth recommended, including the whipped ricotta, buffalo chicken, and calamari. We had a lot of different food preferences, but everyone easily found something to order. I had a Caesar salad and truffle fries (the fries were good, but not truffle-y) since like a toddler, I filled up on apps, but everyone cleaned their plates. The portions are also HUGE - two of my friends split the mushroom calzone and a Caesar and it was probably enough food for 3 people. We ended by sharing the Nutella donuts at the table which was the best choice to wrap up a wonderful evening out after two really hard days of work. If I lived in the area, Canvas would be somewhere I'd want in regular rotation to visit - it was a great blend of amazing service, a beautiful ambiance and vibe, and wonderful food/drink options. The most difficult part was figuring out WHAT to order off this menu!

I swear this whole experience felt like a social experiment or something. We were quoted a 20-minute wait that turned into 40, which is fine, but when we got the "table ready" text and went up front, the staff didn't even know if our table was actually ready. Already confused. Then we get seated at a 4-person table. We ask if we can sit at the 2-person table literally right next to it (like... less than a foot away), and they say no. Instead, they have us pull apart the 4-person table ourselves to make it work... and we had to clean it too because there was still stuff on it. At this point I'm like ok so we're employees now? Then a manager comes over and asks us to pick up and rotate our table to make space for a couple with a baby. Mind you this is the SECOND time we've had to move our table. We do it... and then they don't even seat the couple there. So we just rearranged the restaurant for fun I guess. The hostess was also hovering and making small talk about a matcha I got from the coffee spot inside, which felt like she was trying to make up for the table situation but it just made everything more awkward. Also why are the water refills like that?? They kept coming by and pouring literal droplets instead of just filling the glass. And our server somehow had perfect timing in the worst way possible -- every single time my mouth was full, she would appear and ask how everything was. It became a running joke. At one point we were laughing so hard because we genuinely couldn't believe what was happening. The crazy part is the food was actually really good. We spent around $200, so I expected the experience to match. Overall... great food, but the service felt like a fever dream. At this point I'm just wondering when HR is sending my onboarding paperwork.

We also shared Bread Pudding with a salted caramel sauce and gelato for dessert and it was incredible. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. These are smaller portions and just enough for the three of us. Service was really good and professional more like what you would expect at finer dining restaurants. The outside patio was nice as there was a breeze and each table had fly prevention fans on the tabletop which was excellent. They have a decent sized menu and they do offer some larger entrees to share which we will have to return to experience. This is a definite recommend and a place we will return to. Beautiful area that this restaurant is located in within the Lake Nona Med Center. Outside the restaurant in the courtyard there were several vendors set up selling things for Mother's Day. This itself was a beautiful area to spend time in. Free parking via garage.

The rice was good, but very heavy, I didn't eat it all. I'm not sure I'd get it again, but I did like it. Walking out of the restaurant I saw a plate of the carne asada-- I kind of wish I would have gotten that! Then for dessert, we got the tres leches cake. However, it was just SO sugary, that it was too much. between two of us, we couldn't finish it, and it was pretty small. It had its own unique twist. But just way too much sugar in every component. I was very pleased with the whole experience, but wanted something to really knock my socks off to give them 5 stars. If I could give half stars, they'd get 4.5. I recommend you give them a try! And I'll be back again next time I'm in Orlando to try that Carne Asada. Thanks for having me!
