    Shrimp rice bowl
    Indera H.

This is a beautiful restaurant located in the new Aloft hotel in Lake Nona. The restaurant was not too busy and we were promptly seated. Now on to the food, it seems we have a sauce problem. We ordered the sheisedo peppers as an appetizer, unfortunately the dipping sauce that was served with the peppers did not go with the peppers. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl and my husband ordered a burger and fries. The burger was fine even though a little on the thin side and the cheese was unmelted. My rice bowl consisited of white rice, along with sliced peppers, avocado, tomatoes, corn and black beans and of course cooked shrimp. This bowl was beautiful but keep in mind all the ingredients were unseasoned and the vegetables were raw. What this bowl need to bring it all together was a nice creamy aioli. The sauce served with this dish was balsamic vinegrette...yes like a salad dressing. Try eating plain rice and uncooked veggies with balsamic vinegrette. Well it was terrible, I asked our server for a creamy dressing and got some kind of garlic sauce which tasted suspiciously like ceasar dressing. I ended up adding salt and tabasco sauce and was able to eat half of it. By the way, the shrimps were perfectly cooked. Disappointed overall with the food. Service was good.

After a long day of travel, we decided to try our hotel restaurant. It is a somewhat limited menu and clean, bright decor. We see it quickly and the food was filling and tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive, and our server recommended the shishito peppers as an appetizer. A large amount of peppers came out and they were absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the fish tacos with a side of sweet potato fries while I had the Smashburger has a lettuce wrap and also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were especially good - perfectly fried and not over salted. My husband said the fish tacos were good and the fish was very fresh. My burger was tasty. The next morning we came back for breakfast. Perhaps because it was the weekend, they also had a breakfast buffet in addition to their menu. We opted for the buffet, which turned out to be very good and a good deal. Although the contents were basically a continental warm breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, and toast, at $15 a person with drink included it was a very good deal and very filling! I also appreciate the fact that on the bill, the recommended tip amount is based on the subtitle before tax!

Wings were good, nothing special. Fries were bad, came out soggy and cold, as if they've been sitting under a heat lamp. No salt on them. A shame because the sage chicken and red snapper entrees were very good and well cooked. Ambiance was not great, definitely felt like you were sitting in a cafeteria of a hotel lobby. Bright fluorescent lighting offered a very stale vibe. Service was mid, watched the server do something else while our drinks sat at the bar for at least 10 minutes. Then she hollered across the restaurant for the host to bring it over to us.

This restaurant is located inside the A Loft Hotel. The hosts were very nice and accommodating . The location is spacious, clean and artsy. The waitress was very pleasant and patient she explained the food items to us. We came after Happy Hour which stops at 7. I recommend this if you want excellent customer service. The waitress Arianna is an outstanding waitress and has great customer service skills.

I went the other night with my husband and had a wonderful time! We showed up not knowing what to expect, since it's part of a hotel, but everything was great! The restaurant was beautiful and clean! It was a quiet night, but our waitress was super attentive and made sure everything was okay. The food was absolutely delicious, we decided to try a few appetizers and every single one was great! The drink I got, called the boombox came in a fun mug!! I will definitely be coming back to this place again!!

Tempo + Grace is located inside the Aloft Hotel in Lake Nona and is such a good addition to the Nonahood!! Located just down the road from USTA, Tempo + Grace is a handcrafted kitchen with dishes made from locally sourced ingredients and it has a really cute sports theming inside. Right next to Tempo + Grace is the W XYZ Bar which offers some delicious cocktails and a really great drink menu that you can get in the restaurant. We started with some cocktails and I got their signature Boombox Cocktail which was so delicious and came in the cutest glassware. My husband picked the Heroes Cocktail which was also delicious and made with Casamigos Tequila, which we love. Next up was an appetizer and we picked the Muhammara and it was incredible!!! Probably my favorite thing of the entire meal. For our main dishes we had the Grilled Flat Iron Steak and the Seared Atlantic Salmon. I LOVED the salmon and it had an amazing crunch to it since it had crispy quinoa on top. For dessert we picked The Dublin Chocolate Cake which was so yummy and the perfect size. We really liked the chocolate ganache that was on the plate with it. YUM. Since we live only 10 minutes or so from the Aloft hotel we will for sure be coming back to Tempo + Grace soon to try out some other menu items. They serve brunch on Sundays so I am pretty sure that is what we will check out next.

Great new restaurant that opened up inside Aloft. Nice atmosphere within the restaurant. Food was very tasty. Loved the crunch of the quinoa and mint oil with the salmon. Service was great, the server was knowledgable of items on the menu. Can't wait to see the menu expand and will be back to try other items on the menu here.

This place was quiet on a Thursday. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The drinks and food were excellent and the ambiance was cozy.

Side Kale Caesar & Sage Butter Chicken (already ate 1 piece of chicken before pic)

Food is always 10/10 at Tempo & Grace. We started off with the deviled eggs and grilled smoked chicken wings. The deviled eggs were on the mustardy side, which I love. The wings had a nice spice mix, right amount of smoke, and good texture. The jalapeño ranch dip elevated the wings in the best way. For dinner, we split the sage butter chicken (comes with two big pieces of chicken) which came with parsnip purée, bourbon glazed carrots and bulgar and also got a side kale Caesar salad. The chicken was so moist and juicy. The waitress mentioned they inject the chicken with the sage butter and it paid off. The parsnip purée was like something I never had. Had restraint to not lick the plate. Carrots were also really good in the bourbon glaze. The star for me was the kale salad. Between the homemade dressing, the crunchy sourdough croutons, the chunks of cheese and roasted tomatoes, it was the best bite of food. They need to bottle that dressing. I also loved that they used purple kale, which was my first time having. Very crunchy and stood up to being well dressed (not over dressed- perfectly dressed). The restaurant has a very nice hip vibe, very Lake Nona. And the wait staff is always on point. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

Cocktails and appetizers (boom box cocktail) highly recommend!

The corn beef empanadas was surprisingly yummy, I didn't think it would be very yummy but it was. The brussel sprouts we always get because it's the best bussels ever. I usually get the chicken pad Thai because who doesn't love pad Thai, it wasn't too sweet which I prefer. My hubby got the curry, its very favorable but would have been well balanced with rice. The puff rice is not enough to balance the flavor of the curry. Our service was great! I really wanted to enjoy this place because the concept and atmosphere are modern and inviting, but…read morethe overall experience was disappointing. The restaurant was extremely busy, so I expected a bit of a wait. However, the service was much slower than expected. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and one of the four kids' meals we ordered never came out. After waiting around 45 minutes, instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue, the manager approached us and immediately became argumentative about how many kids' meals had been ordered. I wasn't looking for a confrontation--I simply wanted the missing meal. I actually had to stop the conversation and tell him that if he came over just to argue, I wasn't interested. That interaction really left a bad impression. As for the food, it was a mix of highs and lows. The blue crab dip was easily the standout of the meal--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It's absolutely worth ordering. The edamame was also well prepared and made for a great appetizer. Unfortunately, the gnocchi was the complete opposite. It arrived ice cold, lacked flavor, and was one of the most disappointing entrées I've had. For roughly $45 between my meal and wine, I expected a much better experience. While I appreciate that they offered a Kids Eat Free promotion, the long wait, missing meal, and poor handling of the situation overshadowed that benefit. The restaurant itself has a sleek, contemporary atmosphere that's great for groups or families, but the lack of attentive service and the manager's approach to customer concerns made the experience far less enjoyable. I hope they've improved since my visit, because the blue crab dip alone deserves recognition, but based on this experience, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

4 1/2 stars! We came here for our anniversary recently, dressed to the nines and expecting the…read morerestaurant to be ... more formal and dressy than it was. There were plenty of people who didn't look even 'business casual' much less the 'dressy' listed here in Yelp. We were seated and got our drink order in ... and waited several minutes. We had already decided on our orders when our server first arrived at the table, bearing menus listing the courses for the prix fixe five course 'Taste of Bacan' menu. (There was also a prix fixe seven course offering, but no menu for it??) We changed our minds and went with the five course offering ... and waited several more minutes for the first course to arrive. (Fortunately, the delays in service ceased after this.) The food was amazing! First up was a Lobster Burrata Tostada, on a little four inch crispy corn tortilla with sweet notes from the passion fruit. Next up was the Florida Snapper, beautifully cooked, with a loose mofongo and fennel shreds, but served on a bed of curry sauce which was too spicy for us. It was at about this point when the Bread Service we added showed up: a good-sized loaf of warm bread, heavily seasoned on top, paired with a chorizo/ricotta spread that I didn't care for. Then the Pork Belly, so soft and delicious. The last entree was the Carne Asada, served medium rare (off-putting to those of us who prefer our meat cooked), but delicious when eaten with the salsa and corn side. We finished up with the Tres Leches cake. I'm not usually a fan of Tres Leches, but this again was superb, contained in a dark chocolate shell, garnished with little chocolate/crispy rice balls. I appreciated that they had zero-proof mocktail options, and tried the El Dorado. I didn't care for it, though, as the drink changed flavors twice as I worked through the layers, and none of them were particularly tasty. Service started out very slow, but improved once the food started coming. My soda was refilled proactively, and the descriptions of the courses were interesting.

The service was incredible to start, but slowly fizzled out as the meal went on. The cadence that goes with a tasting menu went completely out the window as the second half of the course took twice as long as the first half. The wine pairing was exceptional, highly recommend it. Now the real problem, the food. The food was good. A couple items were really good. But honestly nothing was great! There is a lot of potential here, but this place is truly bordering on not being worth the cost. I wanted to have a different experience. In fact, this was the first restaurant we experienced once in town because I'd been waiting. It unfortunately was not worth the wait. You won't hate your experience here, but you may feel like it wasn't worth the money.
