We were dying for a place with fresh air and outdoor seating, so a colleague found Canvas and we were all completely on board. This exceeded all expectations. The outdoor table in a covered area on the lake was just what we needed and the space itself is beautiful. Our server was Elizabeth and she was someone who has a real gift for delivering great hospitality. We were a larger, last minute group and she really took great care of us so we were all grateful to be seated in her section and all said how excellent she was at her job. The drink list was awesome and they had a great variety of cocktails, mocktails, and wines by the glass/bottle. I had a watermelon ranch water to start, that was so light and refreshing, plus really unique. I then moved onto wine, but my colleagues ordered a variety of drinks like the Lake Side Collins, Espresso Martini, and Blood Orange Cosmo. One in our group who is pregnant really enjoyed the mocktails on the menu. We started with a few apps that Elizabeth recommended, including the whipped ricotta, buffalo chicken, and calamari. We had a lot of different food preferences, but everyone easily found something to order. I had a Caesar salad and truffle fries (the fries were good, but not truffle-y) since like a toddler, I filled up on apps, but everyone cleaned their plates. The portions are also HUGE - two of my friends split the mushroom calzone and a Caesar and it was probably enough food for 3 people. We ended by sharing the Nutella donuts at the table which was the best choice to wrap up a wonderful evening out after two really hard days of work. If I lived in the area, Canvas would be somewhere I'd want in regular rotation to visit - it was a great blend of amazing service, a beautiful ambiance and vibe, and wonderful food/drink options. The most difficult part was figuring out WHAT to order off this menu!

I swear this whole experience felt like a social experiment or something. We were quoted a 20-minute wait that turned into 40, which is fine, but when we got the "table ready" text and went up front, the staff didn't even know if our table was actually ready. Already confused. Then we get seated at a 4-person table. We ask if we can sit at the 2-person table literally right next to it (like... less than a foot away), and they say no. Instead, they have us pull apart the 4-person table ourselves to make it work... and we had to clean it too because there was still stuff on it. At this point I'm like ok so we're employees now? Then a manager comes over and asks us to pick up and rotate our table to make space for a couple with a baby. Mind you this is the SECOND time we've had to move our table. We do it... and then they don't even seat the couple there. So we just rearranged the restaurant for fun I guess. The hostess was also hovering and making small talk about a matcha I got from the coffee spot inside, which felt like she was trying to make up for the table situation but it just made everything more awkward. Also why are the water refills like that?? They kept coming by and pouring literal droplets instead of just filling the glass. And our server somehow had perfect timing in the worst way possible -- every single time my mouth was full, she would appear and ask how everything was. It became a running joke. At one point we were laughing so hard because we genuinely couldn't believe what was happening. The crazy part is the food was actually really good. We spent around $200, so I expected the experience to match. Overall... great food, but the service felt like a fever dream. At this point I'm just wondering when HR is sending my onboarding paperwork.

This park is well laid out with food trucks close enough to each other that you can hop around, but at the same time, not feeling crowded at all. There is a big variety of food options for everyone, which is great because we had a large group of about 12 people with us. The park is also decorated very pretty. There is an open eating area with many picnic tables so everyone has a place to sit and eat. I loved that they had a band playing. Nice touch. Restrooms are clean. You can park across the street in the parking garage for free, which is a nice. There are also plenty of stores and shops around this park. There was also a farmers market happening at the time I visited the park so we checked that out. I highly recommend this park and I'll be back soon.

I will be back to visit when I'm back in the area when it's open.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and our server recommended the shishito peppers as an appetizer. A large amount of peppers came out and they were absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the fish tacos with a side of sweet potato fries while I had the Smashburger has a lettuce wrap and also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were especially good - perfectly fried and not over salted. My husband said the fish tacos were good and the fish was very fresh. My burger was tasty. The next morning we came back for breakfast. Perhaps because it was the weekend, they also had a breakfast buffet in addition to their menu. We opted for the buffet, which turned out to be very good and a good deal. Although the contents were basically a continental warm breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, and toast, at $15 a person with drink included it was a very good deal and very filling! I also appreciate the fact that on the bill, the recommended tip amount is based on the subtitle before tax!

The appetizer came 30 minutes after we ordered, and they almost held the burgers back until we had asked for everything to just be brought out. Again, the food itself was decent, but everything was just so slow. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich. I didn't taste any spiciness from it, it's a good sandwich otherwise. The appetizer was the tomatoes with burrata, also delicious. I would ask everything to be brought out with haste as soon as you sit, otherwise you'll be there a while.

Figured my chances were slim, but Tonya (or perhaps Tonia) the manager ensured that my dining dreams came true. She was very helpful, fitting us in at 8:30. It's a classy feel inside with lighting that sets the mood, as well as cohesive fixtures and accents. Tablet menus? Yes. That's a thing here. Our server did a great job taking care of us. All our needs were met with finesse. As for the food, so delicious! I would normally go for the Lobster Mac & Cheese, which is to die for, but I like to switch things up. The Mahi Mahi Sandwich didn't disappoint. The regular mac & cheese that I had for my side is some of the best around town. The cocktails are flawless. My Mint Julep and Manhattan were perfectly crafted and 100% satisfying. This place is consistent and will not let you down. Looking forward to my next visit.

For the food, the best item on the bbq chicken platter was the creamed corn. There was a perfect crunch on top and the cream paired very well with the sweet corn. I believe it had jalapeños in it but there barely was any spice. The bbq chicken tasted just like you would imagine it and the fries weren't anything special. My girlfriend really enjoyed the lobster mac & cheese. Just like the creamed corn, my girlfriend complimented the crunch on top of the entree. We both liked the spinach dip and the chips were lightly seasoned well too. For the drinks, we got the baby blue cosmo and the espresso martini. The martini was good and the cosmo was pretty strong for it being a restaurant.

Instead, I found salvation at Lake Nona's Miller's Ale House, my sister's favorite place to eat. The Flight-Delay Forgiveness Tour: Miller's Ale House Edition After my flight from New York decided to linger in the clouds long enough for me to consider the nutritional value of the airplane's headrest covers, and I touched down in Lake Nona with a hunger so ravenous that I was ready to seize the first edible object I saw. My sister's suggestion and my hunger led us here. I sought penance for my travel delays in the form of the Brunch Burger. This was no mere sandwich; it was a half-pound premium beef patty crowned with a majestic fried egg, peppered bacon, and a creamy red chili sauce that acted as a peace treaty for my grumbling stomach. It was so juicy and well-executed that with every bite, it practically whispered a formal apology for every minute I spent on the tarmac. My sister, meanwhile, opted for the English Pub Fish & Chips. The white fish was beer-battered to such a flaky, golden perfection that it almost attempted to swim right off the plate and back to the Atlantic. But let's discuss the real MVP: the seasoned fries. These were the antithesis of the 'double-dropped' or over-fried tragedies found elsewhere; they were crunchy, precision-seasoned, and undeniably fresh. We didn't leave a single stub behind. In fact, had there been a lone crumb remaining, we might have engaged in a territorial dispute over it like a pair of frantic seagulls at the pier. Miller's didn't just provide a meal; they provided a 'salvation' from a stressful day of travel. If you're looking for a place where the food is as bold as the energy in the room, this is your front-row seat. I didn't try it this time, but if you love sweets like me, you should definitely try the Captain Jack's Buried Treasure cake--You won't regret it. Psst, just so you know: it's definitely a treat to share.
