Love all the locations they have. You can't beat the buy one get one on drinks specials. Food is good, vibe is good and I will always come back.
Went to have a post birthday celebration and it was outstanding. We had a lake front view at about 630 so it was nice outside. Our waitress was nice and attentive making food accommodations and recommendations since I have a good allergy. I didn't really like the black beans but the fajita quesadillas were amazing!!
My girl and I went here after my trip from Texas and had dinner with her family. The shrimp tacos are bomb!!! Love it!! Great portion and drinks are really good!! Went here second time to chat with my girl. Customer service is great, our servers are accommodating and friendly. I love seating outside dinning to see the lake much quieter. The inside looks great also but kinda loud. Place is clean and great decorations. I'll come back for more food.
Fine dining Mexican experience. Margarita flight is so fun and all the flavors were outstanding. I ordered the shrimp and steak fajita bowl which was very fresh and flavorful. The service was very friendly!
I love this place, especially when it's nice enough to sit outside. The service is always really good and I always get the Molcajete. It's a massive food tower in a bed of cheese and dark creamy sauce. It is so delicious and I always have some left over to take home for the next day. It is served with rice and tortillas to make your own little taco, and it is so satisfying. Try it with a glass of their equally delicious sangria
Love having this restaurant close by! The food is always delicious. I've never had something that I didn't like!! The wait staff is always attentive and incredibly friendly. It can get loud in there when they are really busy and on the weekends for brunch they usually have a Mariachi band! They also have a covered outdoor area which is dog friendly!! Love going here for good food and drinks!
Service was great and the food was very good. We did the table side guacamole which was a little expensive considering as a vegan the bacon and queso had to be removed. I wish they would have discounted it without those items as those are expensive ingredients. Should be a separate up charge to make it cheesy and meaty if someone wants to make their guacamole that way. It was very delicious regardless. I got the vegetable burrito without any dairy products and it had tons of vegetables with a delicious verde salsa. We were sat next to a table of 35 people who screamed and yelled and clapped every few minutes to celebrate a birthday which good for them but it took away from our dining experience. I felt like I had gone to a concert and needed ear buds to block out the noise. I had to yell my order to the server and to talk to my friend we had to yell. Something like that should be booked far away from other people dining. It was the worst noise I have ever experienced in a restaurant when we just went to catch up after not seeing each other for about a year. Something for the manager and host team to think about. Maybe large parties that feel like they are having their own private party should have to pay a fee to be there after hours so they can scream and yell without impacting others dining experience. Just a thought. Food was good. This was my first experience. Not sure I would go back unless there was a guarantee for normal noise levels. I lost my voice from trying to talk to my friend at dinner kind of something else.
Ordered the carne asada burrito, al rice and burn, with little pieces of meat. Service was very nice, I ordered skinny margaritas and they were also very good...but the food was just terrible, a thievery with the portion of meat, lots of rice and bean, no meat.
The food and drinks were very good, but pricey. The atmosphere is very nice and feels high-end which explains the pricing a bit. The service was pretty lackluster. Everyone was very nice but service was slow. Drinks took a while to come out and I was never given the last drink I ordered. My wife's food came out nearly 15 minutes after everyone else's so we think it was forgotten at first. We had a larger party so that is a factor. We would still give this place another chance due to the food and atmosphere.
We went here to celebrate someone's birthday. Everything was good. Service was quick and easy. We will be back again. Ambiance was comfortable. Although, there was a lot of people, the place wasn't too noisy.

They have a gratuity charge of 20% for tables of 6 or more. The Arroz con Mariscos was incredible! It was a special on their menu and I was impressed by the seafood. I have a shrimp allergy and they were able to put it to the side. The Mexican rice could've used a little more flavor, but the soup base of the dish made it incredibly savory. The portions were huge and overall the table loved their food. The salsa was one of the best salsas we've had at a Mexican restaurant. It had a small kick that gave it the perfect flavor. We had been offered for a spicier salsa and that was also fantastic. They refilled our chips quickly!
I've tried many Mexican pleases nearby, NOTHING COMPARES! This Azteca location has become one of my favorite go-to spots, the servers are starting to recognize me (LOL)! Chips and drinks are always topped off, servers are great all around. Music is always on it seems like whenever we go, I always try to get outdoor seating when I can since it's next to a lake. They also got the best table side fresh guacamole compared to all the other places I've been! I always either get the carne asada, salad, or steak quesadilla, nothing disappoints. I will always recommend this location to friends that stay/live nearby!
Good food, great margaritas! Easy to get seated and often not crazy busy. Service is fast and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. My favorite starter is the tamales, chips and salsa. Typically get Carne Asada and Shrimp tacos. The steak is tender and flavorful. Definitely grab your girls, get a seat at the bar and love your best life! If there mariachi band is playing even better!!

Today my husband and I decided to stop by Azteca to take advantage of their bogo on beer happy hour. We walked in and they had a musician playing live music which was really nice. We ordered some beers and a dipping sampler. Our waitress was very courteous and efficient. Our beers and sampler was brought to us quickly. The beers were ice cold and the sampler was tasty. The sampler had a little bit of everything which was nice and was quite filling. Their happy hour is a pretty good deal and happens every Sunday. read more
Big difference with the location on OBT Service. Food and decor was all superb. Simplicity really does win here. The entire restaurant has that modern yet homie feel. The bar it's right in the middle of the room. We order house marg and sangria. Very well made totally worth it. We did get the lucky special 11-3pm which included a selection of pick one or two items for 11-16 dollars Really good food. Will come back again. read more

Good food, great margaritas! Easy to get seated and often not crazy busy. Service is fast and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. My favorite starter is the tamales, chips and salsa. I must say this look like a really classy restaurant when we walked in with a huge beautiful bar. We were seated and in about five minutes later, our server appeared it took our drinks and then took a while to come back at this time of day. there wasn't really a lot of people on our side of the restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I have to say that and I definitely will come back but the reason I gave this review not five stars was because of the service there were times we could not find our server and has a call on another server at a neighboring table to help us or to get our server Other than that great time I recommend anyone coming by and trying this place. Hopefully you don't get the same server we had! Also, I needed to note that this bar has almost every single kind of tequila and there has been a tequila that I have been looking for for two years and they had it. It is called San Matias. You know I had to have a margarita with it and that was delicious. read more

Snagged some take out for my mom's birthday. Never disappointed with this place. Even the take out is delicious! Some places you go, the food is good but not as good when taken home, this one is the exception. Super fresh, all the aspects of a sit down meal packed up nicely for at home enjoyment. Super easy pickup and pay at the host stand. Called in to order and was ready in less than 20 mins. read more
Went on a Friday night with my best friend and boyfriend we were in the mood for Mexican food. Lake Nona is a beautiful area and the inside of the restaurant is nice. Our waiter Jared was nice and very entertaining checked on us frequently and serviced us very well. There is not a way to make reservations, I would suggest going early because parking is crazy late in the Eve time. We had to valet which complimentary. We sat in the back corner, the restaurant was busy as expected on a Friday night. It was loud as well apparently it's like that on Friday and Sunday which they had Mariachi Band. They also have live music during week and they are not as loud. Now the food and drinks were great. Came out fast! The birria tacos were good. Coconut shrimp very crisp. Ehhhh. I expected better quality food here and more authentic mexican staff like Winter Haven location. Lake Nona is a upscale town. SO expectations are somewhat high here. The view of the restaurant is gorgeous. Seated nearby the outdoor near the lake but we were still considered inside. The noise level is not that bad even after the 5 o'clock crowd hits. Staff here are mostly non mexican but in the hispanic descent. Service here sucked. They serve happy hour only for drinks. No special on appetizers. Ordered the following: Birria tacos with refried beans and mexican rice - These were served open faced. The au jus was served on the side. I hear these were ok. Horchata - This drink was not served with cinnamon. That was another miss! Chicken Macho Burrito - I requested La Crema Sauce with this. When it was served the burrito was larger than the one I got from winter haven. However the taste of the chicken was not as flavorful as the one in winter haven. I can only eat half of this plate when it is served to me. Fried Oreo Ice Cream - This was not FRIED. It was a scoop of ice cream that was rolled on crushed oreos. Then was served in a plate with chocolate drizzle and fried flour tortillas. They had 2 options... vanilla or oreo - I think if we got the vanilla it would have been fried? So it was sliced in 4's when it was served not balled up like the vanilla one. It pretty much tasted like oreo ice cream or cookie and cream ice cream. Churros - This was about 5-6 pcs of pinky length churros with caramel drizzle served with a tortilla bowl and vanilla ice cream. Drink service was ok we had to flag down the server a few times for things we needed. Again I expected more from this location but not impressed with the service and the authencity of the food here. read more

Sadly, I was disappointed. I had high hopes considering the restaurant itself was beautiful, and the view outside was gorgeous. It took a while to get recognition from the staff and to be seated. On top of that, our waitress, although nice, was barely seen. However; the food is what really disappointed me. The beans tasted like plain beans in water... no flavor whatsoever. The rice was ehh. Lacked flavor but almost had a jalapeño taste?? Not the best. The tacos were also mid. Despite the onion and cilantro, the meat didn't have much flavor to it either. Very bland. The consomé for the tacos was thick. Normally with birria tacos I have had a more brothy/liquidy type of sauce. I will say, the salsa that came with the chips was by far my favorite part of the meal. The salsa was very good. We also ordered plain queso, and that too, almost had some sort of jalapeño taste to it. Not a bad thing, just different. For two people who both ordered birria tacos, each had a margarita, and one side of queso, cost around $94. read more

Finally redeemed!! The server Gianni is amazing he hooked us up. Love the lake side views especially as the weather is getting better. Things on the menu has changed and quality is better. They were accommodating to our dietary restrictions. Definitely worth giving another chance if you have had a bad experience. And ask for Gianni he will make the experience worth it. read more

Man, lemme tell you somethin'... there is something special about the Shrimp & Tequila Chowder. Azteca D' Oro's got some pretty good food, but there was never anything that caused me to crave another visit. That was until I had the chowder! We came here for a team lunch, and I'd heard the Birria Tacos were good, so I decided to give them a try. The tacos were very good, as are Azteca's chimichangas. But they both paled in comparison to the chowder. If I'd known it would be that good, I'd have skipped the tacos and ordered a whole bowl. Maybe two. Don't let the tequila scare you, it's just there for flavor. There is a good amount of spiciness if that's a concern for you. Bahama Breeze may have just been replaced as my favorite chowder spot! read more

Azteca has a beautiful ambience. It excudes a relaxing sense of class due to the interior decor and the lake in back. Our server was also attentive and helpful, However, the quality of the food and the price leave much to be desired. I found the fajitas quesadilla to be flat in flavor, as was the guacamole and rice and beans. The queso dip was the one bright spot. I found myself disappointed with the mismatch between a wonderful atmosphere and mediocre food. read more
Went for the first time, not bad! Need a bit more seasoning for my taste! I did really enjoy the elote. The time that my family and i have arrived, it was happy hour but our waiter did not tell us that. Since i had ordered the sangria, he assumed that we knew about it. Which made my mom mad cause then she would of ordered a drink from the happy hour menu. read more
I had a great dinner here last night. I went on a Saturday around 6:00 and it wasn't crowded and since the weather was perfect, we sat in the outside seating area in the back. There was beautiful live music by a guitar player, and the service was excellent. They have a great selection of food, and a great variety of drinks as well. read more
We enjoyed our lunch on the patio over looking the lake. So very relaxing. The salsa was fantastic! I had the grilled chimis-- grilled instead fried is so nice. Served with rice and beans. My husband had the Huevos Ranchero. He said it was delicious but the eggs were cooked over-hard instead of over-easy. But it was so tasty it didn't matter. The inside looks like a nice place to dine on warmer days too. Nice decor with incredible lighting and a beautiful bar. read more
