    What a view wow...

Perfect way to end my day. I went into Armando's and the young lady at the host stand was incredibly friendly , helpful and inviting. I was looking for a specific noodle before I sat down and I wanted to make sure they had what I was looking for. She was kind enough to tell me what noodles they had in the store before I decided to sit down. Now my server Jahyn paul very lovely guy. He has a lot of charisma and is overall a great person to be around. He gave me options , helped me find what I was looking for while recommending some other items. Now the reason I came the food and the view. It's something about Armando's that brings such a nice relaxing vibe. I had a nice solo dinner with a pleasant sever and a nice view. I can't wait too come back for the same dish ahah

Okay, okay, I couldn't give 5 stars because I've only had one thing on the menu... but To Armando's defense, it's the BEST THING and my favorite thing on their menu! I only order the Spaghetti Carbonara and it is PERFECTION. The service is always great, and I've never had a bad experience! The ambiance is dimly lit, perfect for a solo date or taking that special person out. I am truly dreaming about this carbonara now, thank you! You must give them a try and do try more off their menu!

Lake Nona-I hadn't planned on writing a review for Armando's. BUT...We were astonished by the end of our meal when we got our check!!!! There were three of us, and we decided to share a pizza, and then get 3 entrées. While looking over the menu, our waitress stopped by to ask if we had any questions. Two of us wanted the same dish, although we do not like spicy sauce. The waitress mentioned that we could have whatever sauce we would like. We both agreed that we would like to try the vodka sauce. Our food came out and my New York girlfriends agreed that the pizza was very lackluster and had no flavor. I do not care for the pizza in Orlando, so I am not a good judge of character on that!! lol Two of us got the Gamberoni with scallops and shrimp, along with the vodka sauce. The other entrée was a chicken piccata. The taste was delicious, but the taste that was left in our mouth at the end of the night was very very bitter. They actually had the nerve to charge us FIVE EXTRA dollars for our vodka sauce!!! The waitress never said a word to us and we had no idea. Weren't you going to put the sauce on in the first place????? Yes, yes you were, so why in the world would you charge us extra for a sauce you are already going to put on the entrée ?????? Especially without telling us???? We definitely will NOT be back to this establishment.

Very nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating overseeing a lake. Food was amazing but it took over an hour to come out. They were nice enough to offer free dessert. Server was great at explaining the menu and offering his favorite dishes.

5 Aug 25: We had a wonderful meal at Armando's. The restaurant was pleasant inside with a calming atmosphere. The waiter (Jhan P) got us started with a tasty recommendation, a meatball appetizer...wow really yummy with tasty flavor and tomato sauce. Next we enjoyed two wonderful entree's, Lasagna and Polpette with Chicken. Both entrees were delicious with lots of flavor and impressive portion sizes. Our desert choices included Limoncello Cake and Tiramasu...boom! What a yummy experience this meal was from start to finish. We will certainly return to try other dishes as they have a very large menu. So if you are ever in the Lake Nona area, pull on over and give them a try.

This is what's left of a great pizza from Armando's. This is the veggie pizza called Margarita.....so good!

It's my second time visiting this location and yet again best lasagna I have had! It's located in a spaced placa in Lake Nona, always good parking. My go to drink is always an Aperol Spritz and a nice Espresso to finish. We got a Cheese Pizza to share and some Calamari, SO good. Pasta is always fresh, staff is always friendly and ambiance is always great. One of my fav spots since I moved to Orlando

Had a great little Valentine's dinner here at Armando's. It was our first time there and it was very pleasant. We were seated immediately since we had reservations which was nice but I wasn't the biggest fan of where we were. We were seated in the corner next to the rack of plates, silverware and to go boxes which meant lots of waiter traffic. Oh well, couldn't really help that I guess. Food was out very quickly and tasted very fresh and flavorful! I really loved my scallops and pasta. Our waiter was great and friendly but he did seem to disappear after we got our food which left us waiting for quite some time to get the check. We also grabbed our own to go boxes since they were right there. I'll chalk that up to it getting busier during the night so no biggie. I would likely return and hope to sit out on their patio on a warmer night!

We went to the Lake Nona location with a group of about 12 people and it didn't disappoint. We had a 530 reservation and had outdoor seating in the back overlooking the water view. The food was delicious and service was excellent. We were there until about 8 eating and taking pictures with the great view. Prices were a little high but was well worth it!

This wasn't my first visit to Armando's and it certainly won't be the last! I've been coming to this restaurant since they first opened, and have never been disappointed. If we sit at the bar, the bar tender is always friendly and attentive. If we sit at a table, our waiter or waitress is always also friendly and attentive. The pictures I posted are a variety of ones I have from different visits there. They are dog friendly, so we usually always sit on the outside patio, and all of the staff is always more than happy to say hello to our dog, and they even have water bowls for dogs! The food is always good. I always get the Calamari Luciana, and then my entree pick always varies. The two photos I posted are the Chicken Marsala, and the Salmon Sofia. I also posted photos from my birthday when they brought me a free dessert! The ambiance is always good, can be loud inside, especially on the weekends. But it's always peaceful to sit outside by the little lake beyond the restaurant. Also wanted to shoutout to our waiter from the other night Rudy. He was incredible and really went above and beyond to make our night out there extra special! Thanks for all you do!

The Hubs and friends across the street from Armando's in Winter Park
    Judith D.

It has been a while since I visited Armando's. A few years ago I would meet with a small group of friends for brunch in the Winter Park location. We always had a great time and the service awesome as usual. Recently this year, 2024, I was able to go to the Lake Nona location with the hubs to try it out and enjoy some pizza together. The location is nice, ample seating, nice terrace overlooking a small lake and good parking. The service was great and the complimentary bread with dipping oil and balsamic plus the pizza were also great. However, I still prefer the restaurant in Winter Park...I don't know, call me nostalgic maybe. So after a few months, this July, we went with another group of friends to Armando's Winter Park. The older establishment felt familiar and cozy with it's rustic ambience. We just had a great time! Ordered the Carne Pizza which I shared with the hubs. Came out nice and hot and the meats were fresh and tasty. Although my favorite is the Prosciutto e Fichi (fig jam) but we were celebrating a late very late Father's day so we went with the hubs preference. I will definitely be back to Armando's WP but I will wait for cooler temps before I visit the one in Lake Nona so I can eat out on their new terrace. It has a nicer view. I recommend both locations but all in all, I recommend you visit Armando's for some really good food! That's all folks! (sorry no pics of the food or location)

Figured my chances were slim, but Tonya (or perhaps Tonia) the manager ensured that my dining dreams came true. She was very helpful, fitting us in at 8:30. The door to enter the restaurant isn't prominently labeled, so I always second guess if I have the right way. It's a classy feel inside with lighting that sets the mood, as well as cohesive fixtures and accents. Tablet menus? Yes. That's a thing here. Our server did a great job taking care of us. All our needs were met with finesse. As for the food, so delicious! I would normally go for the Lobster Mac & Cheese, which is to die for, but I like to switch things up. The Mahi Mahi Sandwich didn't disappoint. The regular mac & cheese that I had for my side is some of the best around town. The cocktails are flawless. My Mint Julep and Manhattan were perfectly crafted and 100% satisfying. This place is consistent and will not let you down. Looking forward to my next visit.

For the food, the best item on the bbq chicken platter was the creamed corn. There was a perfect crunch on top and the cream paired very well with the sweet corn. I believe it had jalapeños in it but there barely was any spice. The bbq chicken tasted just like you would imagine it and the fries weren't anything special. My girlfriend really enjoyed the lobster mac & cheese. Just like the creamed corn, my girlfriend complimented the crunch on top of the entree. We both liked the spinach dip and the chips were lightly seasoned well too. For the drinks, we got the baby blue cosmo and the espresso martini. The martini was good and the cosmo was pretty strong for it being a restaurant.

Came in late night just to check out their $10 Monday martinis. There was limited options to just a plain or dirty vodka or gin martini. No other variations or anything else from their cocktail menu was part of this deal. Blue cheese stuffed olives were a dollar a piece and tasted great but don't think I needed the 3 that was automatically given. They did seem hand stuffed with fresh blue cheese instead of the already made kind so it tasted better than most Having been to a few of their other Good Salt group restaurants, this definitely had their signature touch with all the details and the delicious menu. I like checking out all their locations. Another one of restaurant was a few doors down The server forgot my simple request for ice and lemons in the beginning when ordering just water. She also didn't check on us after dropping off the drinks and had to get someone else nearby for more olive juice when my dirty martini seemed to have missed the dirty part. Getting the check seemed to be a task, no server in sight, and had to grab another employee to ask for it From just ordering waters and martinis, service was quite lacking. I get that it was a slow night but maybe tending to the only table around should have been an easy task and being a little more tentative for the few times a server was needed would have gone a long way

5 Star update to include their incredible new food program! (Get the carrots and red cabbage salad…read moreand the pan con tomate STAT.) Quicksand is a natural wine bar that will change the way Orlandoans expect to feel at a bar. Pro-tip: ask the staff for suggestions and settle in! It's no secret that I've become a big fan of natural wine in the past few years, and that is 100% due to Golden Hour - a wine shop in Baldwin Park that I randomly discovered on their first day open. Heather, who brought us Golden Hour, opened Quicksand in late 2024 for those of us wondering why Orlando doesn't have a great wine bar like the ones we've seen in cities around the world for decades. ***Finding the bar: Quicksand is located directly next to Educe Salon (across from Black Bean Deli). It does not have a big sign, but it's the first door you'll see as you walk from the parking lot. ***Parking: Did I mention the large parking lot? There's plenty of parking available there, or on street behind the bar. ***Service style: As you walk in, head to the part of the bar closest to the entrance where you can get recs from their staff and don't have to try to bully your way through folks sitting at the bar to get their attention. ## Did I mention that everything here is intentional? From that simple detail that makes ordering another glass MUCH easier than flagging someone down in the middle of the bar, to the position of the speakers... *** The Food: Chef Leah Cordova has crafted a seasonal menu at Quicksand, currently consisting of sandwiches, small plates, and some heartier dishes. All of them have a focus on quality ingredients with many sourcing their components from local farms or special producers. My faves include: - Pan con tomate: The tomato here is actually a combination of fresh slices of small tomatoes as well as another preparation that adds a wonderful tang. It's truly a special version of this small dish. - Whichever salad they are featuring, but special mention to the carrot and red cabbage salad that has just the perfect amount of fennel! - The white bean dish. I didn't catch the name, but it's a winner! - Cacio e pepe: This is exactly the rich, creamy dish you are dreaming of. - Whichever ice cream they are featuring (Chef Leah also operated Sweet Thyme, her ice-cream project with inventive flavors. Faves include the black pepper and date as well as the carrot cake) ***Ambiance: As you walk in you'll feel enveloped in a warm glow of subtle sconces and feel immediately comfortable. It feels like Quicksand has always been here. It's unstuffy, unfussy, and so inviting it has me researching squatter's rights... The music will sound loud at first, but then you'll realize you don't have to raise your voice at all to talk to people. This is because the speakers have been built into the furniture low and towards the floor. INTENTIONALITY. Besides the volume, the playlist has been painstakingly curated by the team so that you'll enjoy the music, but not quite be able to place the artist. ***The WHY And now, my favorite part. The wall of farmers/winemakers. Someone on staff filled me in to the fact that these are portraits of the various human beings who farm, harvest, and create the wines you can get at the bar. These are actual people, not giant corporations. And that same staff member reminded me that these individual producers are farmers for 11 months and 2 weeks of the year, and wine makers for only 2 weeks. None of these people are household names. None of them are in it for the money. They are in it to produce beautiful wine the way it has been produced since the beginning of wine-making: with minimal intervention, meaning no insane additives that give me headaches; and no mass production. The thing I've come to love about "natural" wine is that it is intensely principled. Quicksand is what happens when *every single link* in the supply chain (Farmer/Producer; Importer; Distributor; and Wine Bar) prioritizes principles over profits. And you can feel it the moment you walk in. This is not a corporate chain, nor will you find multiple locations and franchises. Not only is the wine list filled with some of the most incredible bottles I've had the pleasure of trying (many of which you can't get anywhere else in Florida), but the staff truly believes in the power of creating this special "third space" for a community to gather around good, ethically-sourced wine. I can't wait until they start serving bites alongside the wine! (Someone told me the small menu will consist of cheeses, charcuterie, focaccia, chips, etc.) SALUD!

It was not too pepper forward (which I prefer). I was excited to try this out of the way wine bar, but was a little disappointed that their extensive list is more bottles and not by the glass. Just putting this out there for awareness since I will plan to come in for some food and be able to pair with a bottle of wine to explore the full experience. The staff was very knowledgeable about all of the different wines and helped to select the best glass for what I was in the mood for that evening. The bar was very clean and there is a lot more space then what you see when you first walk in. It was all very clean and modern looking inside. Looking forward to my next trip in.
