When asked for pizza recommendations, our phenomenal server recommended the Pesto & Mortadella (Basil pesto, mortadella, burrata cheese & pistachio) and the Rustichella (Ham, bacon, roasted tomatoes, arugula, mozzarella& pomodoro sauce). I selected the pesto and mortadella because I have never seen mortadella on a pizza outside of my Italy vacation so... lord help me it was delicious. This combo of ingredients was perfection. This was my first time at Tratto and I already have made plans to return. My plans include trying another new-to-me pizza combination but no promises. I might get the pesto and mortadella on repeat for the foreseeable future. The pizzas can be ordered in Thin crust or Detroit style. I ordered my pizza as thin crust which was exceptional and my dining partner ordered a Detroit style with pepperoni and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both had enough leftovers to take home for another meal. This restaurant accepts reservations. The service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant interior ambiance was elegant and modern - Dim and comfortable on a hot and way too sunny day. As for seating, There are 2 outside cafe-style tables but this establishment is mainly an interior dining restaurant. It is attached to the Walmart neighborhood market behind the McDonalds in avalon park so there is plenty of shared parking. Can't wait to return. read more

We made reservations through OpenTable after spotting it on TikTok (yes, TikTok made me do it), and I'm glad we listened. Let me start with the surprise of the night: the ratatouille. I'm usually not a ratatouille girl at all, but THIS one? Whew. The burrata on top took it to another level--creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. I'd go back just for that alone. Now...the Detroit-style pizza?? Where has this been all my life? We got the Spicy Pepperoni and I'm still thinking about it. The combo of crispy edges, fluffy crust, hot honey, and goat cheese was unreal. At this point, I feel like I need to book a trip to Detroit just to compare lol. We also tried the cheese wheel pasta--flavor-wise it was just okay for me, but the tableside presentation was definitely the highlight. The proportions were big. It's the real deal. You can tell everything is homemade and made from scratch. l got lassagna and my friend got the seafood risotto. Went on a Saturday around 4 and we pretty much had the place to ourselves until a little after we got our appetizer and a big family walked in. The waiter and person who seated us were kind and attentive. We ordered the calamari and it was a 10/10. It was flavorful and was perfectly lightly battered. For my entree I ordered the chicken parm. It was flavorful and the chicken was thin, the breading was perfect, and the cheese on top was perfect. Kevin ordered the pepperoni pizza. It had hot honey on top but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. This deep dish pizza is deliciously nonetheless. For dessert we got the tiramisu and I could have had 3 more. The cake had just the right coffee flavor and the perfect level of moist. I traveled far for this restaurant but I would go back to try other pizzas, another entree, and the tiramisu. read more

The crust was nice and crispy and the pizza overall was tasty- the sauce was on the sweet side which I don't prefer but otherwise decent pie. I'll preface this by saying Tratto is a phenomenal establishment and the food is no exception. The help they have working there on the other hand perform under par. This is a business you expect to come and enjoy a meal with exceptional service but my recent experience being served by DAIMAR B. was terrible. Sometimes service makes the food taste better but I can say her service did the opposite. She rushed the whole way through the meal, dropping the ball in every aspect of serving (disingenuous check-ups, no beverage refills, forgotten requests, and an overall unwelcoming tone). If I can warn anyone from bad service- I will. Do not be served by her. She will not take you serious if you're a smaller table. Besides that the food has always been great. Perfectly crispy bottom with soft of top. DELICIOUS! Went with 3 different entrees to get a little bit of everything. Short rib risotto was crazy good. I don't know what they put in that sauce but I could eat it all day. Next was the Porchetta (only available Friday and Saturday), perfectly crispy skin with the most tender meat inside. Went here for our birthday dinner back in mid-December. We made reservations, just in case, but it ended up not being needed. We had thought we were going to get the pasta made in the giant cheese wheel, but ended up deciding against it. Service was good, we were able to taste the wine before ordering a glass. I ordered the short rib risotto, my wife had the risotto Di Tratto. The short rib was really good, and the risotto for both dishes was really well cooked. Detroit pizza review! Got it delivered so I don't know anything about the inside or the main menu. Got a Margherita pizza. Simple with some cheese and sauce. First thing I noticed was the box was very small. Opening it revealed a 6 slice Detroit pie. It looked fantastic. But small. It's bigger than a personal. I'd say it feeds 2 with maybe a slice left over depending on your appetite. For around $20 it's a bit pricy. But how did it taste? Really good! Crust was buttery and crisp. Good thickness. Well cooked. Good quality cheese and sauce. I really liked it. Really the only knock is the price for me. It's great to have 2 fantastic pizzas in the area between here and Manga (get the NY style, fantastic). Went here for late lunch/ early dinner. We were a party of 6. The inside of the restaurant is inviting. We sat at a table close to the front. They also had booths on the side. The service was very good from start to finish and we never waited long for anything. My husband and I shared the Detroit style pizza (spicy pepperoni). It was delicious and the crust was perfect. We even had some leftovers. Another person in our party ordered the mortadella which was also really yummy. It was packed with toppings. Overall we had a really nice meal. My partner and I came here for dinner on a Sunday night. It's located in a strip mall next to a Walmart, very unsuspecting. We didn't have to wait for a table, which was nice. We ordered two entrees and shared them- Seafood Linguine and Cheese Wheel Pasta. (We requested they skip the Table Side Show the Cheese Wheel Pasta comes with, and they complied.) It was a little bit of a wait for our entrees to come out, but OMG was it worth the wait! Both of the dishes were delicious, and switching back and forth between the two had us savoring every bite. The seafood in the linguine was all cooked perfectly. The seafood bisque sauce truly is lightly spicy and so savory. That dish is heavenly. The cheese wheel sauce was rich and creamy. The pasta in both dishes was cooked to perfection. I wouldn't order the Cheese Wheel Pasta again unless I was sharing entrees. The overall flavor of the dish isn't quite dimensional enough to keep my interest. You can add protein to it, but it's only pasta and cheese sauce. No vegetables or additional herbs/spices, which I'm sure is to let the cheese wheel sauce really shine. The service was good. We were checked on an appropriate amount of times and our beverages were kept full. The food was absolutely worth the wait. My only 2 concerns were the small children that were squealing and running circles around the tables, and it was warm inside. By the time the food arrived, I was quite uncomfortable from the heat. Tratto is located in the old Mangia location in the same shopping plaza as the Walmart Neighborhood Market and despite it being opened for awhile now (about eleven months I believe our server said), this was the first time that I tried here. Walking in, I definitely thought the ambiance was warm and inviting. Our server was friendly, though they could use a bit of fine tuning on service. A great for-instance is that my brother-in-law's and my entrees were brought out and there was a very noticeable lag in bringing out everyone else's meals. I had the lasagna and started with a caesar salad. Both were good, though I would not say great. Still, again, the food was good Another discouraging thing that we all commented on is that the menu is pretty limited. All in all, Tratto is a good addition to the culinary scene of east Orlando. Super lean and a great portion. $32 isn't bad for something where you don't have to drive 35 min in traffic somewhere else if you're in the area and this may be the better Italian restaurant in all of east Orlando. The risotto was very well balanced and the short rib was lean and soft. A generous portion of a plate as well. Service was fantastic he was very attentive and made good recommendations. The restaurant was particularly cold and for being located in a shopping plaza they seem to be trying their best. Great dinner spot. A must try. We went on Sunday afternoon before the Celtics/Magic game. Very nice inside and we had a cozy half circle booth. We started with the bruschetta and it was awesome. This was probably our 6th time back since the last review and it's still amazing. Tratto has continued to hold on to the same standard of greatness in both the delicious food & excellent service. The calamari is still the best I've had. The garlic bread is top-tier. Try it with the ratatouille. I have now tried every one of the risotto on the menu. They are all rich & unctuous but my very favorite is the scallops & risotto. My husband up until today has always ordered & loved the picatta salmon. It is a scrumptious, perfectly cooked salmon with picatta sauce. Today, we ordered the pizza! OMG! Detroit style spicy pepperoni is an experience! The pepperoni is perfectly crunchy and drizzled with hot honey. The outer crust is friccoed with crunchy cheese. It's amazing. The new dessert is a pistachio cheesecake! Run to try this! We went to Tratto for a friends birthday and had a great experience! We were a little confused why our friend chose a restaurant so far from her house but we soon learned why! When we got there we were a little surprised by how quaint it was inside, it's very unassuming. They only serve beer and wine which was a tad disappointing but their bottles of wine are very reasonably priced so we got a bottle to share. Our server was a little slow to greet us and could have checked in a little more frequently but it wasn't a big deal. We ordered a few appetizers for the table, garlic rolls, calamari and the carpaccio. The garlic rolls were a little overpriced in my opinion, 3 rolls for $14 is a little steep to me. Especially when you can get a whole bowl of calamari for only $4 more. Speaking of the calamari, the rings were huge, cooked perfectly, not chewy at all and the pepeprs were a nice little treat! The carpaccio was beautiful with balsamic pearls on top. For entrees a few people at our table got the short rib risotto, I got a Detroit style pizza, other dishes were lasagna and the burrata with pesto. Our entrees came out staggered, with 2/3 of it coming out at once. It took at least 10 minutes or more for everyone to get their food which was a little frustrating. After about 5 minutes we just told everyone to eat instead of waiting because peoples food was getting cold. They were more than halfway done eating by the time all of us had food in front of us. Even though that happened we were all still very happy with our meals. The short rib risotto was DIVINE! I have never had meat that rich before, it was so wonderful and the risotto had such great flavor! That dish is spectacular! The lasagna was the size of a newborn baby, it was a huge serving on the plate and the pizza was a little oily but still very good! Even with a couple little speed bumps our experience was great! Located in a not-so-well-known area in Avalon, Tratto is a small restaurant catering to the local population. If you live in or are visiting Avalon and want to enjoy Italian comfort food at a reasonable price, Tratto is a good option ("good"--not great, not bad-- hence my rating 3 star rating), with the caveats below. For mains, each one of us ordered a different dish. Our table looked amazing! I went with the beef carpaccio after seeing photos--it was a beautiful dish! The portion was generous and came with plenty of arugula, mushrooms, and very thinly sliced mozzarella on top. It ended up being my entrée. I tried the lasagna (it was quite salty and heavy, though a massive portion with a decent amount of meat) and the spaghetti with pesto and burrata (very good!). For dessert, we ordered tiramisu (which was very good, one of the best choices of the night) and panna cotta (which was more like a flavorless flan with guava syrup at the bottom, not a real panna cotta; this one deserved 1 star). This restaurant is so beautiful! My sister lives right around the corner and I didn't even know that this place was there. We arrived at 5:05 and didn't receive our first food item until 545. I unfortunately had to take off two stars because of that and because the ravioli that we got, the marry me chicken ravioli, it was very gritty inside. I also think it had way too much sauce. The Detroit style pizza was delicious! I don't typically like Detroit style pizza, but this one was light and fluffy. Unfortunately, the food took so long that the kids were done with sitting, and we were not able to finish our meals there. The server did not come by to tell us why it was taking long either and there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. We found out that they burned the first pizza and they had to remake it. It would've been nice for them to have brought something out to us immediately or at least give us a discount or something to compensate for their mistake on our time. I don't think the portions equal the value of what you get, though. The staff was nice and they brought us extra bread because they brought three to begin with and there were four of us. Otherwise, I would definitely like to try it again and order something different. I wanted to order the pasta with the cheese wheel, but the server didn't seem that it was a top seller so I opted not to. The salmon piccata was absolutely the taste pleaser. I will probably ask them next time for less liquid and more crunchy asparagus. Otherwise, I think it is a solid choice for Italian food where you don't have to get on a highway if you live nearby. I would love to try the desserts as well! Very clean inside and nice aesthetics. It was a bummer tonight though with the big delay and two small children and no communication or food to eat. I posted a very long review previously about how glad I am to have found this little gem. It seems really far in Avalon Park but it only took 22 minutes from south Orlando. Santa Merda! Avalon Park might end up being Orlando's Little Italy!. Tratto had some big shoes to fill when Mangia moved to a larger location in downtown Avalon. And the new owners filled those Bruno Magli's nicely. As you can tell by my thick head of hair, I'm Italian and whenever I'm looking for a nice meal, I usually end up choosing an Italian restaurant. It's great to have one so close. Their menu is extensive with pizzas, pastas, paninis, salads and risottos. The lasagna was probably the largest single portion I've ever seen outside of my own kitchen! The Panini was insane... a folded over pizza shell stuffed with Italian goodness. Even the bread service was nuts, with grilled/toasted bread. They also serve pizza which was great too. They had a Detroit style which wasn't really Detroit style, but it was still a good pizza with the cupped pepperoni and crusty edges. Some of the dishes are a bit salty for me so I hope I can remember to ask for less salt when I go next time (not sure if they can even do that). Also, as it's gotten more popular, the service has gotten a bit slow. It's worth the wait if you have time, though. My bf and I went to Tratto Avalon Park for the first time tonight. Because I saw them from instagram. The atmosphere was nice, even there was some music playing, but it wasn't too loud. I got egg Involitoni. It was so good. The waitress was so friendly and told us that they make everything from scratch. And my bf had lasagna. He loved it so much. A great restaurant hidden within suburbia (sorta???) in Avalon. The food taste exceptionally good. A few things we tried were the garlic rolls, tratto pizza and marry me pasta. The garlic rolls were amaaazing. The exterior was flaky with each layer warm and chewy as I got to the center. The garlic pesto is a nice touch! The pizza must come from a similar dough because it held its shape and the crust is perfect. It was just a little salty for us. The marry me pasta had a creamy sauce with what looked to me is a stuffed ravioli. I saw they had porchetta on the menu but only Friday and Saturday. I can't wait to try that. As quickly as the previous tenants in this location were, in came Tratto! A new, modern Italian restaurant. They didn't just take over the location. They took the time to update the interior making it a little toned down and moody (no more white linens). Last night they had great indie tunes playing. Not surprising considering the ownership... On my first visit, Maybel came around to say hi. Not much older than my daughter, I was immediately impressed when she said she was the owner. Her and her boyfriend have done a wonderful job bringing this dream to life. Service is a tiny bit slow but the food is wonderful and I can't fault the place for being a little slow considering they just opened! They appear to be well staffed so once they all get into their rhythm I'm sure it will rise to the same level of popularity as the last place was. I will start by saying, maybe our expectations are too high? Service was subpar at best and when your meal starts out that way, it's hard to recover no matter how good the food is. We were seated right away, but no one greeted us for at least 10 minutes even thought the restaurant was only about one quarter full. We saw servers going by several times but ours was MIA. The food was pretty good, but we had some issues which were within management's control, while some others were not. The air conditioning was broken, so it was very hot in the restaurant. They didn't disclose this until after we ordered and asked if they could make it cooler. It was uncomfortably warm. We had a new server, but she should have been trained better. We had to ask for dinner plates upon which to place the pizza and salad that we ordered for dinner. She first told us to use the small appetizer plates that we already used for the bread etc. We ordered red wine, which was kept at room temperature. It didn't taste right, so we asked the server if it was a new bottle or if it had been opened for a while. She asked her manager, who came over and said it's only been open for a day or so. We had to request that they open a new bottle, which, although it was still room temperature, was better. This is something the manager should have suggested. I shouldn't have to ask. Also, I found it odd that an Italian restaurant that also specializes in pizza wouldn't have seasonings (garlic, crushed red pepper, parmesan cheese, etc.) on the table or at least bring them over before or simultaneously with the food. read more
