Today almost turned into a really bad birthday dinner day for my fiancé , but 1803 Pizza/Kitchen came through in the clutch! I like to take the focus off me by saying I have a procrastination demon because I can wait until the last minute to plan things . Unfortunately, I ran behind at work today and we had a 5:30 reservation for Bar Italia. I've only been there one other time and when I went, it was still fairly new to the area so it wasn't busy. Apparently the residents of Winter Park have now adopted this spot as their official happy hour headquarters because this place was PACKED. I messaged the staff ahead of time letting them know we were running late and asked if we could move our reservation, but unfortunately they told us there weren't any later reservations available. We still decided to drive there anyway since we'll take you without a reservation. Upon arrival, there were already several groups ahead of us asking about seating and everyone was being told the same thing: they were no longer taking reservations for the night and to try back again in 30 minutes. (I didn't expect to be accommodated because I know we were late so please don't take this as me complaining; I am just giving the complete run down.) Thankfully, I had a backup restaurant for us to try which was 1803 Pizza/Kitchen. I had read some reviews that were amazing and some that were kind of on the fence, but I figured we should just try it for ourselves. Surprisingly, there was only one other table dining inside when we arrived, but there were several people constantly coming in and out picking up to-go orders. It felt like a cozy family neighborhood restaurant, I really like that feeling. We ordered the house salad, fries, Margherita pizza, and chicken parmesan, which is made a little differently because the pasta is tossed in vodka sauce instead of marinara. The salad was simple but SO good; it's also enough to share. The balsamic really made the salad and everything tasted super fresh and crisp, which I appreciated. My fiancé doesn't eat onions so they accommodated us by using grape tomatoes instead of their normal tomato/onion blend which was really nice. I'm usually not a huge fan of ordering fries at restaurants because a lot of times they taste like they came straight from a freezer bag , but these honestly tasted like fresh fries and were so good! They also had some sort of seasoning on them that wasn't overly salty but added so much flavor. Our food came out quickly and both entrées were served at the same time. The pizza had the perfect amount of bite, although I do wish the center crust had been just a little firmer. Overall though, the flavor was great. The crust was airy and light, the sauce was delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed everything we ate. My only small pet peeve is that I don't think the pasta itself was freshly made, and that was one of the reasons I originally wanted to try the restaurant because I had read reviews saying they offered fresh pasta. But honestly, everything was still delicious regardless. We ended up getting dessert to-go, so I don't have a review for that just yet, but if it's anywhere near as good as the food was, I already know we're going to enjoy it too! read more

Recently stopped by 1803 Pizza Kitchen over the weekend while in the Audubon Park area and boy... was I pleasantly surprised! This spot is located right next to Big Daddy's bar. There is some parking around the area....as well as street parking close by. The restaurant inside is smaller but super quaint, with both seating inside and outside. The decor gives a very modern, pizzeria chic vibe... a cute place for a date night or nice family dinner spot. For food, we all had our own individual sized pizza. I ordered the Pesto Arugula pizza that was recommended by our server. The pizza was sooo delicious... I loved the house-made pesto and the creamy burrata cheese. My friends ordered the Pizza Bianca and Pepperoni Pizza and they enjoyed their pies as well. 1803 Pizza also has a huge selection of signature desserts! We were all so stuffed from dinner that we ended up not trying any... but definitely will be back to try some in the near future. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit at 1803 Pizza Kitchen. This restaurant is tucked away on Winter Park Road, right next to Big Daddy's! We ordered the Chicken Cavatappi pasta and the pesto and burrata pizza. Both were amazing. The pasta had chicken and bacon in vodka sauce. The pizza was also phenomenal. The pesto tasted fresh, topped with a nice dollop of fresh burrata with arugula and pine nuts. Loved it! Finally made the plan to try this place last night! I swore they. Only served pizza, but surprised to see the extent of their menu, which had salads, pasta, and desserts. Surprisingly it wasn't crazy busy last night, but I'll assume it was because of the night market. We were a group of 5 so we got seated outside instead of waiting 30 minutes or more for inside seating. This place is on the smaller side not going to lie, but the staff is friendly and efficient. Side note, I used the bathroom at the back of the shop and it was small! My party definitely took advantage of our free mozzarella for checking in (I didn't indulge in these because of the cheese). For someone who is dairy free, I really appreciated there being not only vegan options such as cheese, chicken, and sausage, but other options like a vegan chicken Parmesan that caught my eye. I love being able to go to a place that makes it easy for both my friends and I to indulge in things we like. I opted for the chicken, bacon, and ranch pizza with only just substituting the cheese for vegan cheese. The pizza was 6 slices so I shared it with my significant other. The staff was kind to put the ranch on the side incase we didn't want it on top! This pizza was delicious, as someone who doesn't get to eat pizza all the time, I always enjoy a bit more whenever I do. There was no sauce on the pepperoni pizza, at all. Im not kidding, i lifted the cheese off the pizza and there was nothing but bread. It should really have just been called cheese bread and that way i would not have felt bamboozled. $40 for a piece of cake, 1 slice of pizza, cheese sticks and 1 drink. I dont think it was worth the price. The cheese sticks were ok, the dipping sauce definitely lacked seasoning. The pizza crust was very light and airy which I did enjoy. Audubon's local pizza spot and enjoyed by many of the surrounding areas. 1803 has been our go to for the past two years. They are omnivorous friendly so if your vegan curious and your family isn't on board this is the perfect spot. They have cauliflower wings and standard chicken wings. They have pizzas galore with a mouthy crust. I love that they have an option to add vegan meat and their French fries are delicious! They have amazing desserts. Cheesecakes of all kind and their Tiramisu is made by coffee from Lobos Coffee Roaster. Unfortunately there are not to many sweet vegan options available but still worth the visit! There is also both indoor and outdoor seating. Carpool if you can because parking in Audubon is a challenge within itself but especially so in 1803's parking lot. We like to grab some nonalcoholic wine at Total wine and walking over to enjoy the food at 1803. The folks at Total Wine don't make a fuss at you keeping your car in their lot. read more

We went there for dinner on a wednesday night and the place was not big and luckily it wasn't pack. Make sure to check in here on yelp because you'll get fried mozarella sticks. I start off with wedge salad with dressing on the side because I don't like eating salad soak with the dressing and this one taste so good! the lettuce is so crunchy with bacon, tomato and red onion. yum! For main dish we got the chicken parmessan for the kids and they enjoyed this dish. The pasta and chicken taste so delicious. This place is very casual. They have 10 tables and do a great carry out business. The pizza was good lots of choices. A 12 inch pie will cost you about $20. I've been wanting to try this spot out for a while now after seeing so many of my Yelp and foodie friends rave about it. I was excited to see they had a table outdoors because I had my dog with me. One word of caution - there is no shade at all so it may not be the best option depending on the time of day... unless you want to have a lunch in the blazing sun. Luckily when we went there were some clouds rolling in, so it wasn't too bad. They did bring out a little cup of water for my dog. Service was really friendly and prompt. My husband and I each decided to try one of the pizzas. He got the meat lovers, which he really enjoyed. I went with the spicy chicken. Don't be too nervous about the spice level on this one, it's really not too bad. It has great flavor without making your mouth feel like it's on fire. I love that they have a large to-go cooler in the front complete with ready-to-make pizzas, pizza dough, pastas, etc. Very convenient if you're wanting to grab something quick on the way home! We visited for dinner on a weekend night and ended up having a bit of a mixup with our table which led to a bit of a longer wait than expected, but the service was kind about it and offered to bring us drinks while we waited. Once sat, we started off with the mozzarella sticks which were fresh and hot, albeit small. For the main course we shared a meat lovers pizza complete with all the toppings you'd expect (pepperoni, ham, sopressata, bacon, and parsley). The pizzas are a bit on the smaller side and didn't have as much sauce as I'd like (this may be a pro for you if you prefer cheese vs sauce). The flavor was good, but didn't blow us away. For dessert we tried the creme brûlée which was cool on the inside with a freshly brûlée'd top. The flavor was excellent (although the dish was again on the smaller side, there's a theme developing here!). Overall, we enjoyed our visit to 1803 pizza kitchen and recommend it if you're looking for a pizza place in the area. The ambiance is warm and cozy, the staff was kind and attentive, and everything we tried was good. I do think the dishes could be a bit more flavorful overall, and the portions could be a bit larger, but definitely give this place a try! This place has the best pizza we've ever had. We got the chicken bacon ranch and added buffalo sauce, and it was delicious. Also got the sunrise and added Buffalo sauce on that as well. After driving by this location for years, when my fiancé and I moved back to Winter Park, 1803 was at the top of our list of places to check out. We had the mozzarella sticks, the BBQ Hawaiian Pizza, and the triple Oreo cheesecake. The mozzarella sticks seemed pretty standard and didn't blow us away, but the pizza was absolutely fantastic. The pizza had one of the best cheese pulls with each bite that I've ever had. The jalapeños were perfectly sliced very thinly to add heat but not so much to overpower the other flavors of the pizza. My only qualm was that I wish there was a bit more BBQ sauce on the pizza since a few bites tasted pretty plain, but it definitely won't be a deterrent to coming back. The real star however was the triple Oreo cheesecake. It was fluffy and sweet and had a thick layer of Nutella covering the slice as well as some additional half Oreos stuck into the top. I had previously seen it on Instagram but did not put the two and two together. We got in pretty late and the staff was kind enough to let us sit and eat there. I can't believe I slept on this for so long. Went for dinner and had the greatest meal. The Caesar salad was perfect for sharing amongst the four of us and was perfectly done. The chicken wings were just right. The wine, although there were only two choices - red or white (I chose red)- was actually really great. I've had to-go from 1803 multiple times and each time I scroll through my uber eats options for Italian food I keep landing on this place because the pasta and pizza and great, but the dessert is out of this world good. I've had each cheesecake that they offer and it's always so rich and creamy. I will certainly order the linguine with vodka sauce and burrata again. We tried 1893 Pizza Kitchen for the first time after reading so many favorable reviews. We ordered buffalo wings, Caesar salad, Margherita pizza and a piece of their home made coconut cake. The buffalo wings were tasty but a bit dry. We probably wouldn't order them again. The Caesar was good, as was the pizza, but the coconut cake stole the show. It was delicious! The restaurant has an extensive list of specialty pizzas and desserts (mostly cakes). We look forward to trying some of their other specialty pizzas and desserts the next time we visit. The ambience and decor is what you'd expect at a neighborhood pizza joint. Nothing to write home about, but clean and functional. (Not a romantic Italian restaurant vibe).
