I came here with one of my girlfriends for dinner because the restaurant we wanted to go had an hour wait and parking was impossible to find in the area, so we decided to go with Anthony's because of their private lot. We should've went elsewhere. The server was very nice and considerate, but the food was not good. My friend was feeling unwell because she hadn't eaten much that day, so asked for their soup of the day. The server brought it put within a few minutes, which was unexpectedly fast. She took one bite, then passed it to me to try. It tasted terrible and was cold even though it had just been brought out. (The server did take that off the bill). She also ordered the bruschetta, which was also all cold. I took a piece and the bread which should have just been toasted was cold like it just came out of the fridge, as well as the tomato and mozzarella. For myself, I ordered the mushroom truffle pasta. I ate it because I was hungry, but it was not sitting well as the night went on. It could be that I'm not used to eating pasta and maybe that's why my stomach was fighting digesting it, but who knows. This is my favorite pizza in the entire city. Usually I call ahead and get takeout but I have eaten in the restaurant as well and it was a very enjoyable experience with great service. On a nice evening it's great to sit outside and people watch added benefit is it's only 2 blocks to Lake Eola so you can walk off the calories. My son and I had limited time to eat before a show, so I called in advance to see if we could place an order (or get a pizza started for us) before we arrived to sit down and eat. While they stated normally they don't, especially on a weekend, Savannah accommodated us. Not only was the pizza ready for us just a few moments after sitting down, but her service was impeccable. This was a perfect dinner spot before a Magic game! Since we were there during happy hour, we tried the meatball sliders and fried ravioli from the happy hour food menu. Both were excellent, and of course it's always a bonus to have food options on the happy hour menu for parties that include members who can't drink! We also had the Chicken Palermo which our server recommended. It was absolutely delicious-- very flavorful and thick sauce, pasta cooked to perfection, and juicy chicken throughout. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience really needs to be shared. My friends and I, who all have dwarfism, visited this place recently and were very uncomfortable with how we were treated. Staff assumed we were children and spoke to us accordingly, which was inappropriate and frustrating. On top of that, we were required to pay before being seated, which didn't seem to be the standard for other customers. It made us feel singled out and judged based on our appearance rather than treated like regular guests. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and fairness when they go out, and unfortunately that wasn't our experience here. Ali, our bartender and waitress, was awesome--friendly and super helpful. We went for the bottomless mimosas at just $18 per person, which is a fantastic deal. To start, we had the ricotta meatballs--absolutely delicious! For entrees, we ordered the half chicken parmesan and Philly cheesesteak subs. While the Philly cheesesteak wasn't my favorite (just a personal preference--I wanted to try something new), the pasta salad it came with was incredible. So flavorful! Only downside is that parking can be a bit tricky in the area, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back. Definitely planning to return! read more

My wife and I decided to try Anthony's Pizzeria, and it did not disappoint. Since it wasn't too busy, we sat inside. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I asked to keep the drink menu for a bit, and while she was fine with it, a manager came by to take it a couple of minutes later, which felt a bit odd. We ordered the garlic knots, and for an extra charge, we could add mozzarella on top--highly recommended! Our waitress suggested dipping them in Alfredo sauce, which was an amazing addition. Edit: if you can dine in, go to Anthony's Thornton park!!! - there are two parking lots dedicated to the buisness. The one on the right is easiest to park in IMHO - Bridgette is a treasure. She made certain our family was well cared for and that everything was on point. Couldn't be happier with the service - they have a bar area, and indoor/outdoor covered dining. EXTREMELY family friendly. High chairs, booster seats, menus with crayons to keep toddlers entertained, and a friendly knowledgeable staff. A++ for kids. - their upside down pizza is quite tasty. Reminds me of a west philadelphia danger pie. Saucy on top. I recommend adding red pepper flakes for an extra bite. Also it was perfectly crisp. - chicken picatta is my #1 recommendation. It's the best picatta I've had yet in Orlando. - the mussels were fresh and absolutely bathed in a white wine broth. Get extra garlic knots to enjoy that broth! - their cannolis are made in house and filled fresh. We had the Nutella cannoli and we just about locked the plate clean. It's a can't miss dessert. They charge 1$ an ounce. That means 1$ per floret of broccoli. The spinach is definitely not an entire side portion. 2) Their pizza is way underdone. Definitely does not hold up to a New York fold. 3) the salmon smelled quite fishy when I opened it. I honestly haven't tried it. 4) the kids spaghetti and meatballs comes with one single meatball. I think the portion is good but my kid wouldn't eat it. The picatta is good. Could use more lemon. I hate posting low reviews, which is why I usually call first to give every restaurant a chance to fix what could be a simple mistake. On the phone they said that this was all intentional and 'what did I expect when I ordered from Uber eats'. I tried the veggie pizza from Anthony's Thornton Park location and took it to go. The service was super fast and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I got medium (which imo would comfortably serve 2-3 people). I received my pizza in less than 15 minutes after ordering at the counter. The flavor of the pizza was great, but I gave it 3 stars as the middle of the pizza was so thin that it just fell apartment when I tried to tear each piece off. A lot of the toppings, cheese and all, peeled off when I would tear off a piece. Closer to the crust the pizza held its form and the toppings much better. My friend and I decided to do some Sunday day drinking and stopped in about 3pm to watch the baseball game and to try some drinks and pizza. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised! Anthony's is always a solid meal experience in Thornton Park. The staff is uber friendly and get you in and out quickly, meaning there is never much of a wait. The outside area is great and a perfect spot for a nice meal when the weather cooperates. However, there isn't tons of room inside, so it does feel a bit cramped when the dining room is full. Of all the things I've gotten, the pasta is a bit heavy for the warm weather in Orlando, but they are very good. I'll definitely be sticking with the meatball sub for any future visits. Came here on a Monday night with the fam to try this place out. We decided to try something new and get the upside down pizza pie, 16in. It's basically built with the cheese and toppings first then sauce on top. I was suprised by how much basil and fresh garlic it had - my highlight was their pizza. If you like a more saucy pizza you'll enjoy this; and it's a pretty cool way to change it up. My gripe though is with the wings, we got the hot buffalo wings and lemon pepper. The hot buffalo was very mild though and the lemon pepper needed more tang could hardly taste the zest but we came hungry so the appetizer did come on time. But my gripe came that we we had to pay 5 bucks extra to do both flavors and pay for the 5 and 5 amount instead. We even asked if half could be plain since we weren't sure my son could take the spice but it was still a no. Didn't really get the logic on that.. Anyway we also ordered their mozzarella sticks. I think it came with 3 or 4 but they're huge. As for the taste I dk if it was because it was pretty late but whatver it was fried in made it have a strange after taste so I didn't end up eating that. This has been a long awaited brunch; Stop in the cute boutique across the street if you are early for a reservation! It was a quiet, windy Sunday so the outdoor seating was great. I got started with the bottomless mimosas which were served by the bottle (our favorite) and small carafes of orange juice and grenadine to make "cherry bomb" mimosas. Much easier on the servers than having to refill my glass every few minutes ;) The Italian benedict was outstanding. The base is crostini, topped with prosciutto, pico, pesto hollandaise, and balsamic drizzle. A huge side of potatoes on the side to soak up any leftover sauce (and mimosas). The pizza was also great, not too greasy, good crust, all of the above. The prices were super reasonable ($15 for bottomless, $13 for my benedict), definitely good for a group or anyone on a budget. But you still get high quality food, high QUANTITIES, and the atmosphere of Thornton Park. Several dogs on the patio and plenty of opportunity for people watching on the street. read more

I really do love the food here. The fettuccine chicken Alfredo is one of the best I've ever had! I also enjoy the wings. My mom ordered the filet, and it was delicious. We were advised that the kitchen was going to be closing within 20ish mins so we rushed to go ahead and place our order. We ordered the Buffalo wings, baked ziti, Greek salad, and a cheeseburger pizza to share. I will say that everything we ordered was pretty standard and it got the job done... so I wasn't mad at it. Now, was there something that really made them stand out?...no not necessarily... but we were hungry and it was hot food that was tasty...so I can't complain. Let's get into the specifics about the food. The wings came out nice and saucy... they were smaller sized wings but I felt they gave you a good amount so that made up for it. The Greek salad was HUGE and tasted nice and fresh. The baked ziti was just ok... nothing memorable... but I do appreciate that it came with 2 big garlic knots. Lastly, of course the pizza... we decided to try something that was unique and something we usually would not order which is the Cheeseburger pizza. I must say it was not bad, not bad at all... it legit tastes like your eating a burger in pizza form. I enjoyed the pizza but I must say that if you do not enjoy condiments, then this would definitely not be the pizza for you... as it has both ketchup and mustard on it. The service itself was good for the most part. We did feel like we were being rushed a few times during dinner as they were getting ready to close up for the evening. Our server kept on asking us probing questions which sorta made us feel like we were holding her up. Though, I must say we are very understanding people so we didn't take offense to it...as we knew it was closing time. I think overall I had a pretty much all around "ok" experience. This place is amazing. Last year I had a huge family gathering (26) and I called them to see if we could reserve the outdoor area and they made sure that the process was seamless. Their event coordinator was super organized and easy to get ahold of. Everyone loved the food and the drinks. They have a good cocktail menu and fabulous mocktails as well. I ordered pizza that time and it was one of the best pizzas I have had in Orlando. I would say the best in the Downtown Orlando area. I recently went again for lunch and this time I had their featured sub, The Italian with an Aperol Spritz. The drink was refreshing and the sub was amazing. You could tell that tomato and arugula they used is good quality and the meats were delicious. My husband had their house sangria and a prosciutto sub and he couldn't stop talking about either.
