Finally a truly authentic, delicious and reasonable PuertoRican restaurant. Service by Janelys was caring and professional. The Alcapurria de Jueyes was exceptional. Huge and very tasty Mofongo Mariscos (lots of seafood), and plentiful Mamposteao de Gandules. We washed it down with genuine Parcha and Tamarindo natural juices for a delightful lunch. The music inside is good, but a bit too loud though. We ate again at home due to the huge portions. Will be back here many times.

I can say enough good things about the food but Ivan was awesome. excellent service. We was always very attentive and professional

Hands down! They can cook! Food is very good. Unfortunately, my complaint about the rice coming out lukewarm vs hot was the same experience. Someone please get the memo- we want all our food hot. I had the avocado relleno de camarones (shrimp) in Criolla sauce. My wife had pollo relleno de arroz. Very delicious. However my wife's dish came with cheese on top. Not a fan and we didn't ask for the cheese. When we get the bill- they charged for the cheese, which we didn't ask for. They charged for the shrimp in criolla sauce. Who charges for the sauce being extra? That's a typical dish that most Latino establishments wouldn't charge. If you're not careful they will slip extra costs in. They will automatically charge you and if you're not paying attention you be paying more than what you should. Sadly, they won't even give tap water. You have to buy bottle water! Why? I have no idea but they won't give you water! Now for a lot of people they won't complain because they aren't paying attention or already planning to pay more no matter what. But some of their policies and perhaps workers should be working in integrity. If it's going to cost extra - say it from the beginning.

Where do I even begin with Casa Vieja. La comida es riquísima! So pure in the Puerto Rican culture. I felt like I'm with family. They had live entertainment. Of course there was a little bit of a wait but it was worth it. I never mind waiting for amazing food. The restaurant was decorated with items true to our culture and was decorated like San Juan. All of their employees were extremely nice and welcoming. The food did take quite a bit to come out. If you don't mind waiting for food then this would be the place for you. Both of our meals was pure in flavor. Since we came on Father's Day it was so cute to see all the fathers dancing and singing with the dj. I absolutely can't wait to go again. Also before I forget the parking gets packed, but they have people directing you on where to park!

This is my second time here and the food does not disappoint. The flavor, seasoning is truly taste like home. I have recommended this place several times and when people go based off my recommendation it's always a thank you. Keep in mind everything is cooked after ordering so it may take some time for the food to come out and if it's busy it will take longer but I promise worth the wait. I do feel the waitress could be a little more attentive. The environment is amazing especially if you love the feel of feeling like you're in Puerto Rico.

Casa Vieja could be so great! It was super busy when we decided to check it out, but thankfully we did find parking. It was super loud inside with the music blasting which made speaking with the hostess challenging, especially with a language barrier. Eventually we were seated outside at a picnic table with a small umbrella that did not provide much shade and it was pretty toasty out. We definitely got thirsty pretty quick sweating in the sun. We had to wait quite awhile before anyone came to help us. We admitted most of us spoke only English and thankfully we had my brother in law who speaks Spanish because all servers prefer Spanish. We ordered some drinks and it took awhile before the drinks came out and they were definitely watered down. At that point, we were ready to order food and went with this huge fried platter to split between us all. The food took some time but we did not see our server again until the food was ready and we were able to order more watered down drinks. I know staff shortages are a thing so I understand but it was still a little much and it did seem that other tables were being tended but not ours. The platter was huge. It was plenty of food for the 5 of us! It came with 2 types of fries, yuca fries, chicken wings, tostones and sausages. Probably more carbs that anything else but it was a good amount of food. The quality was ok... most of the fried items seemed a little cold and and could use a little fresh fry. Loved all of the sauces it came with though! Overall, giving 3 stars for average drinks and food and less than great service.

This spot is one of the best culinary experience's I've had. They serve Puertorican cuisine and everything that was served was top notch and exceeded our expectations . The service was incredible. Our waitress (Isabel or Isabela ) was kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable of the menu. If you ever go there ask for her. I found this place because of a YouTube content creator called "boricua foodie" I will trust every reccomendation he ever gives.

Churasco , yellow rice & beans , shrimp inside of an avocado . And a side salad. This dish was $35

The food was delicious. My only thing is when the mofongo came out it came out dry. They didn't even put a side of mojo on the plate or nothing we had to ask. And then some plates came w/ salad and no dressing. We weren't even asked if we wanted dressing at the time we ordered which should be-asked when serving salad on the side of a plate. We had to ask for dressing and that's when we were asked what kind of dressing . Other than that it was a nice experience.

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

I bought 3 chicken tacos (about 12 dollars), then sat in an empty table to wait. It was ready for me in under 10 minutes. The tacos were small, but they had a good amount of chicken, cheese, onions, tomato, and cilantro. A choice of sauce was included, and I took the hot red sauce. The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown.
