For Father's Day, my wife asked me where I wanted to eat for dinner, and I chose one of my favorite Latino food trucks, 787 Mofongo. I tried their Bistec Encebollado with white rice and beans, and my wife chose the Pechuga de Pollo with white rice, beans, and tostones. I ordered and paid online, so when we arrived, the wait was only 5 minutes. I highly suggest pre-ordering--you'll thank me later.

787 was a nice treat while we waited for my wife's car to get serviced. I got the Carne Frita Encebollada (Fried Pork with Onions) with a side of mofongo. I recommend both. I'm used to mofongo being bland, but this had plenty of flavor. The pork was a bit on the firm side, but it still tasted really good. I think I'll give the Pernil sandwich and Tostones a try next time.

Amazing authentic Puerto Rican food! I love the Mofongo, churrasco and salmon!! This is a must try.

We had driven past here multiple and times and today we finally decided to stop. We weren't trying to eat a lot so we decided to share a chicken mofongo! The dish came out so quick like in less then 5 minutes and it was nice and hot, juicy and full of chicken with it still only being $11. They have some outdoor seating which is perfect with this weather we currently are having. You can also take your food to go! We will definitely be back to check out the other stuff they have to offer.

Tres leches

My family and I LOOOOVE this place. If you're looking for delicious, authentic Puerto Rican food check them out. I can't even count how many times my parents and I have been here, it never disappoints. Their menu has a variety of meals including rice, beans, meats (chicken, steak, etc), sandwiches, desserts and so many other delicious things. My favorite item on the menu is mofongo with shrimp, it's amazing. This time I ordered a beef steak sandwich and it was great, it had lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and onions on it. The sandwich comes with two halves and one is more than enough especially because it comes with a side of fries, extremely filling. I also ordered dessert; I ordered a tres leches and it was incredible! My family members ordered flan, rice, beans, chicken, with a side of tostones - they loved their food as well. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

Being a mofongo fan [this is my blog name also] I was thrilled to see this truck parked near to my sister's house where I was visiting. We love our mofongo in Connecticut where some of the best is found outside of Puerto Rico. I wanted to introduce her to mofongo because that's what I am always talking about. Mistake. This did not even rate up there at all. The service was good, the setting great, the menu fine...but the mofongo just didn't make it and the churrasco was very tough. Thank heavens the Beef Empanadas were that good. Saved my life.

Corn fritters, conch and mofongo. SOOOO yummy!

We love food trucks & we love Puerto Rican food so we were doubly glad that we could order our dinner from here via Uber Eats. We had Chicharrones de Pollo, mofongo relleno de pulpo, papas fritas, corn fritters & arroz con habichuelas. All were quite good with the (sweet potato) mofongo being HUGE, excellent & the lime on the side added a good balance of flavor to the delicious octopus. In fact, all the portions were generous & filling. The chicken had just the right amount of crunch on the outside & was perfectly seasoned on the inside. On the other hand, the corn fritters were bland & the accompanying Russian-style dressing overpowered whatever corn flavor there was to them. We hope that the next time we travel to Orlando that COVID will have become a bad dream and we, instead, can eat at one of the picnic tables.

Carne-Frita con mofongo

I have been driving past this food truck for months and finally got the opportunity to try it out. The 787 staff was friendly and the food was made quickly and fresh. I ordered the carne-frita con mofongo, the tostones, and chicken empanadas. Everything was made so fresh and seasoned perfectly. I couldn't believe the quality from a Food Truck. I would highly recommend giving them a try if your looking for some authentic Puerto Rican food.

Sweet plantain mofongo with steak

I ordered to go and the food was ready faster than I expected. I tried the steak mofongo and found it to be decent. The steak was cooked well done, which I appreciated, but I didn't like the way it tasted. I think it was probably just the type steak used. The mofongo was good enough to order again though. I liked that they gave the option to have it made with sweet plantains. It was a large portion and not dry at all.

The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.

It's Easter Friday so I was craving carrot cake. This was place was a bonus to order from since…read morethey also offered regular food that I could get dinner with my dessert. Plus, they were on Uber Eats and I didn't feel like going out. Ordered my usual Jamaican dish - brown stew chicken with rice and peas and vegetables. Started out with the carrot cake - 10/10. Cake was moist, cream cheese icing was creamy and not too sweet, a good amount of carrots in the cake, a big portion sliced in half for sharing, and an affordable price. Brown stew chicken - 5/10. Ok flavor, but the chicken was kind of dry. I would have liked extra gravy but was unable to make that special request. Rice and peas - 10/10. Rice was good, nice hint of coconut milk, peas cooked perfectly. Veggies - 2/10. Bland AF. Everything except for the cabbage tastes like it came from a can. Plantain - 2/10. Bland, kinda dry. Would only order from here again for the carrot cake.

We also got the Pineapple Ginger Juice. The staff was friendly. I paid with a card so I was charged a 3% convenience fee which for our order totaled an additional $2. The wait for the food and drinks was short and we received all items in a reasonable time. The food was flavorful. The Saltfish is mixed with the Ackee and was minimal in portion size. The best item was the Fried Dumplings. They were fresh and cooked perfectly. The Pineapple Ginger Juice is a favorite. It's refreshing whether it's served bottled or from the fountain. The juice has a good balance of the pineapple and ginger flavors.

The food was good fries was seasoned but just slightly too salty for me . The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I do wish it came with more sauce/gravy so next time I will remember to request for extra. The food was excellent and the portions are worth the price. They did not mess up my order which was great. When I arrived to pick up my order, inside was full of tables set up for people to dine in and the person in the front greeted me with a warm smile. Definitely would return back .

Wow these portions!…read more What Ofcourse I got the 2 signature meals. The jerk chicken and also the fried chicken with honey. The jerk chicken, I got with rice and peas, mixed veggies and cabbage. The cabbage was a little strange to me- not as I imagined from Jamaica steamed cabbage. The mixed veggies were also basic - like boiled frozen mixed veggies. The rice and peas were overall good but tasted a little on the hard side. The chicken though! This was the highlight - it was very flavorful, though I wish I would be able to have the sauce on the side.. For the fried chicken meal - the fried chicken was nice and hot. I got this to-go and was worried it would get soggy but it still tasted great when I got home. Environment This is located in a plaza tucked away near the corner. It seems to be a more takeout restaurant. There is some seats inside for your to enjoy the food. Since it is in a plaza, there is plenty of parking available, but in front of the restaurant could be a bit tricky. Niceness of the staff I would say she was not on the nice side. No one greeted me upon entering also they seemed preoccupied and did not once gave eye-contact. Definitely not friendly.. but nonetheless I got my food. Dollar It is like the bang for your buck. I ordered via UnderEats and there are deals, it was very reasonable as you get 2 leg quarters! Yes I would definitely order takeout again

The menu read great and we were excited to try this place since we love Jamaican Food. Was not easy to make a reservation - had to call Universal main line and choose from options. However, once we got a person, the reservation process was easy and pleasant. We informed the person taking the reservation that this was our first time visiting the restaurant so we expected a nice table - I assume they want repeat business. But instead we were seated right in front of the live band and it was so loud, we couldn't talk at all. The funny thing was that the restaurant was barely half full! Our waiter also had a tough time hearing us so we had to corret our orders a couple of times. They ran out of beef patties:-( that day. We decide to order some appetizers and a couple of entrees and shared. We had the Buffalo Soldier Jerk Wings - Had a nice spice to it and was quite delicious. We also hd the Jerk Caulifolower bites - a little sweet and spicy sauce and we all agreed this was the best dish we had! We had the Curried Goat stew - a weak curry and did not really have any spice to it. The Reggae Jamaican Jerk Chicken had a sweet spice and sticky sauce - next best dish we had. We also ordered the Coco bread- which was disappointing andd I do not recommend. It was just bread with some butter in it and definitely overpriced for what you got! Cocktails were rather weak. Server was just OK. He wasn't very attentive and did nothing to make our visit great.
