The sign on the corner of Lake Underhill and Goldenrod
Dana H.

Estrella Latina is tucked in a crappy looking shopping center on the corner of Lake Underhill and Goldenrod. Their window has a sign advertising a $3.99 "lunch chicken special." Of course, I had to check it out. It's basically like a "lunch-counter" type restaurant. There are a few meat, rice/beans, and side dish selections. I have tried the Lechon Asado (Roast Pork) and the Masas de Cerdo (Deep-fried Pork Chunks). It was EXCELLENT. I also had the Arroz con Gandules (Rice w/Pigeon Peas). This was also very scrumptious. The restaurant interior is pretty basic - a few tables lined with plastic table cloths and a huge mural of some Puerto Rican scenery along the back wall. If you're in a rush and want a cheap but satisfying meal - Estrella Latina is a great place to go.

White rice n pulled pork.

A great to go spot for breakfast. The service was a little slow but totally worth the wait. A cozy traditional spot worth a visit!

Support your locals baby! Downtown finallyyy has great Latin food and it's here. While they have…read morerecently gone viral on social media, I believe it's worth the hype. They bring together the best comfort food from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Staff were focused and very kind to everyone who walked in. The place is also consistently busy, one person leaves and two more walk in. You can expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your food but the upside is everything is made in the moment so it will be fresh. Pro tips: There is a small parking lot in the back of the building otherwise you'll need to find street parking. Also you want to set the moment right with Passionfruit juice or a Coco Rico!

Los Tres Golpes is the kind of spot you stumble into once and then spend the rest of your life…read morebragging about like you discovered buried treasure. We found it totally by accident, just a random stop next to a venue before a show and suddenly I was transported straight back to my NYC days when late‑night chimis were basically a lifestyle. They do have chimis here, but the real star of my personal universe is the Tripleta. Chicken, pernil, ham, lettuce, tomato, potato stix, and that glorious kreme sauce all stacked together like they're auditioning for the sandwich hall of fame. It's so good I don't even pretend to have self‑control anymore, I order one to eat and two to take home because future‑me deserves happiness too. Then come the maduros, sweet and caramelized just right, the kind that instantly hit you with Caribbean nostalgia like a warm breeze and a memory at the same time. And the empanadas? Massive, golden, and addictive. The shrimp scampi one is almost always sold out, which honestly just proves everyone else has good taste too. The vibe is pure Dominican quick‑bite energy: walk in, get hit with the smell of sizzling goodness, and catch the soundtrack of mainstream dembow or reggaeton bouncing off the walls. It's the perfect pre‑game, mid‑night, or post‑party stop, especially since they stay open until 4 AM from Thursday to Saturday. That alone makes them a community service. And because the business started in NYC, the staff will happily chat with you about the city, the food, the culture, whatever you're nostalgic for. It feels like home, but with better parking. If you want real Dominican flavor, late‑night energy, and sandwiches that will ruin you for all other sandwiches, Los Tres Golpes is the move.

Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

My husband had the Peruvian shrimp with yellow rice, salad, and black beans. We were both raving about the taste while eating. They have a range of dishes from across Latin America, and lots of gluten free options. They aren't safe for celiacs though. They use a shared fryer. If you are super sensitive or have celiac, just beware of that. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in the theme parks area near Orlando. You should not miss this restaurant. Try something new if you've never tasted Latin American cuisine, or try it if you've grown up with it. You won't go wrong and you'll likely be back.

You order at a kiosk fast food style, but all of the food is then prepared freshly and authentically. They have a huge menu with all kinds of delicious Latin eats like sandwiches and platters. We absolutely loved our Cuban sammies which came on thick and sweet bread. My kids kept it simple with tenders and fries and also enjoyed! They have a big drink selection and you can find everything from juices to fresh cocktails. The biggest hit was their large indoor screened patio - perfect for my kids to run around. If you want to avoid fast food but also don't feel like taking your kids to a proper sit down restaurant than this is a really great option.

First time at Gozambas in 2026. They still have the tacos deal and of course, the Toro too. I took…read morethe margarita for 14 dollars and it was pretty good and strong enough to tranquil this cowboy. The shrimp tacos were a great deal for 8 dollars. 3 tacos with meaty and plump shrimp and fresh veggies in a light sauce. There was a small amount of spicy sauce to kick it up a notch. It took a while to order dessert, but the cheesecake (8 dollars) was fine and they were very to give me an extra slice. While the food is good, the service can be pretty slow and sometimes careless. I thought the people next to me at the other table were patrons, but they looked to be advertisers for the food and promotions. The other staff can get busy, so it is best to pack some patience. When I paid the bill, always a good idea to ask for an itemized bill, so you know what's getting charged. When I paid the bill, I think they first mentioned that it didn't include tip, and I didn't have proper change to give them cash. But after looking closer at the total cost, I am pretty sure it included 20 percent already. Staff needs to be honest about this. Honestly, you all know why I came and this is the reason why I always come on a Tuesday... The mechanical bull! It always comes on Tuesdays around 8:30, and normally ready to ride 15 minutes later. I did not see any other guests ride, and the only other riders was the advertisers. So I took a couple rides on it, and it was just a fun and enjoyable ride. Since the ride operator knows me, he normally goes at a pace where I can just enjoy a thrill without risking of falling off. Good practice before riding the real ones. Honestly, this cowboy is selfish. If it wasn't for the bull rides, the restaurant would just be another nightclub place.. While the food is good and the security staff are nice, the service can be slow and maybe dishonest. I still enjoy this place and love going on Tuesdays mostly because of the free bull rides. As long as they still have em on Tuesday, I will keep on coming to practice, and hopefully will be ready to ride the real bulls again soon! Overall: B- for the restaurant. A+ for the bull rides.

I recommend, if you dont mind the over priced bottles you can find in any other night club. I did not eat in this place, idk how the food is.

With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.
