The prices are good here, considering this is a cafeteria with a few tables. The food is also really good, comparing it to other places with "Cocina Latina" around here. This place is definitively my favorite for greasy and salty Latin food. I've had the pernil (pork leg) and it was really good, and one time I ordered the chuletas (pork chops), which were OK even though they were fried on the spot. I will say that the rice and beans and plantains are really good, I would be happy just with that. I have seen that they have roasted chicken, and it looks good, so I may visit soon and get some, with some arroz con gandules (rice and pigeon peas).

Sabor del Caribe is located in a small strip mall on Curry Ford Road that is located between the Wendy's and the shopping plaza with the Publix located in it. I was getting an oil change at the Tuffy and figured this would be a good place to stop for lunch. Upon venturing in, I seen that it was rather nondescript inside, as well. This did not discourage me in the least, I have been to many of these cafeteria style latin food places and I fully understand and prescribed to the belief that the best of these places are always simple, humble type places. I stood by what I thought was the place to order and was ignored. Someone else walked over and approached where the food and were approached. So, I followed suit. I ended up going with rice, pernil (a Puerto Rican pork dish) and yuca. I also ordered a papa rellena, which is a potato ball with ground beef in the middle. I have loved these since discovering them in Miami decades ago. The pernil, rice and yuca was about eight dollars and the papa rellena was about two dollars. Not bad pricing and they gave a decent amount, but here is where I have to bring another Latin cafeteria type place just a few miles away. Where I finished this and honestly, could have put away some more, this other place, if you manage to finish it all, you will definitely be stuffed. Also, I think it is a bit less in terms of cost at this other place, but both are well priced. Ok, the pernil here was a bit overcooked and kind of dry. It definitely did not possess the sublime qualities of great pernil. I was debating between the pernil and the chicken and found myself wishing that I went with the chicken. I have decided to give it three stars. Service was indifferent, the pernil was dry and overcooked and probably from the day before as I was there just a tad before noon. The pernil did not taste fresh at all. If you are getting an oil change, it is not the worse place for lunch. But if you are looking for the best Caribbean hispanic type cafeteria, look elsewhere.

I love this Puerto Rican Restaurant in Orlando. It is a small place; it's not fancy, but the food is delicious. It's better than many Puerto Rican restaurants in Miami, Orlando, and Kissimmee. The people that work there are very nice and so kind. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good, delicious food.

My sisters recommended this place during my visit (never ate there) so we ordered take out - family meal for 5. To my surprise the food was delicious, portions were generous and reasonably priced. It's worth the trip if you're in town or new to the area - I do recommend.

This place made me and my friends happy. The food was amazing. The service was great. They played old school Latin music I used to love listening too back in the days. I even got up and danced. I would def go back to this Restaurant and recommend friends and family if anyone decide to stop into Orlando Florida.

It seems a bit overpriced for a LECHONERA but they really fill up those plates. There is usually a line but that just means the food is good and fresh. They keep coming out with trays of food and you can not only see them cooking the pork in the back but you can SMELL it. We ordered the "Para probar de to" which brought 1/2 a chicken, pork, rice, a side of your choice and morcilla (blood sausage) and it was $19. We ordered two of those to feed a family of 5 and we had left overs to take home. We paid about $60 to feed a family of 5 including drinks. The pork was delicious, the chicken was good, rice was good, yuca was delicious, morcilla was good! They do have dessert but we didn't get any this time. We we're stuffed. They also have a food truck selling Puerto Rican ice cream outside. They had a small crown, seems like it's popular. I plan on trying out some flavors when I come back to try the desserts.

When you walk up to the truck you are greeted by the friendly workers who advise you to place your order on the screen and if you need assistance they are more than happy to help. Once your order is placed they will send you a text message when it's ready. They do have a little canopy area with tables and seating, but it's so hot to be outside I opted to wait and eat in my car. We waited about 30 minutes before receiving our food and once we received it you could tell everything was freshly made. We ordered a combo that came with 2 pinchos, 2 pieces of bread, 2 orders of loaded fries,2 mofongo balls. And 2 drinks. The pincho meat is big meaty chunks and well seasoned. These were some of the biggest pinchos I've found in Orlando and the price was really reasonable. The loaded fries were ok, just typical fries with bacon and cheese. These mofongo balls had good seasoning, they weren't dry at all, and the perfect portion. The garlic bread was good as well and was soft. Overall everything was great! The seasoning on all the food was perfect, the portions were more than enough, and the prices extremely reasonable. The only negative I have to say is that it took long for us to receive the food but everything was freshly made and I appreciate all the hard work they do during the extremely hot fl summer.
