Nice date night restaurant. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend this spot.

Went here the other day with my kids and as always I enjoy reading reviews before I take one for my team. So I go here because I was not in the mood to cook. I wasn't happy in any way how I had to wait about 20 minutes before anyone even came to take my order after I was instructed to take a seat and look over the menu. My son orders the salteado steak... it was gummy and had too much vinegar. The rice was terrible. My daughter ordered mofongo wity what was their version of chicken strips... let's just say she barely touched anything. I ordered mofongo con carne frita. The fried pork was mainly fat with barely any meat... absolutely terrible. The mofongo was half way decent. Would I ever go here again... absolutely not. Never... I'd rather take the drive to the Chimi king on Alafaya where they really cook with love. If it has no love while being created I don't want it

Tasty food, large portions, prices a little high. We hadn't had Dominican food previously but we enjoyed it. The chicken is very well seasoned.

Saw this on Tik Tok; figured I would try it out. I'll be back! It wasn't a total win, but it certainly deserves another chance. Let's talk about my cons * I ordered the "Pepe". Not a fan at all!!! The burger meat wasn't good quality at all. Never again. I hear this is a typical Dominican burger. Sorry- I thought I loved all Dominican food but not all, apparently. * I asked for tap water but they come out with a bottled water. I'm starting to see this more and more in restaurants, Latin ones for that. Not a fan! I'm about to start bringing my own water into these places. Let's talk about pros * place is very clean * staff is awesome, sweet and very attentive * the chimi spot sliders. Outstanding * passion fruit drink is fire * my wife's chimi chicken burger was good. I'll be back, try out some new dishes next time and see if I have a greater experience.

Loved everything about this spot. It is small but everything they bring out is big! A great amount of food and big flavor ... it's called the chimi spot but it has got to be recognized for much more. We haven't had good Spanish food like this in a while! Where you can find Dominican and Puerto Rican food. The place is small and the staff is so friendly you feel like you are family. We had the "El Pepe" chimi and it has been some of the best we've had! The surf and turf was delicious and the creole sauce that the shrimp were bathed in was heavenly. Our last main plate was the pechuga al maduro which was crispy, tender and had the maduro and cheese inside of it . The sides were just as good as the main plates. Can't forget about the mofongo that actually had chunks of chicharron! The queso frito with the the guava sauce drizzle. And can't forget the tres leches for dessert.

After a long day of traveling, my family and I were not only tired, but STARVING. Knowing that Florida has good Spanish food we were craving just that. We ordered delivery from this place and during our trip we just kept talking about the amazing food for a good price too. My mom ordered the fried fish which she said was crispy and not oily. She really enjoyed that it just didn't taste salty but rather flavored with herbs. We both loved the fried tostones. They weren't greasy and rather than frying it twice, which I'm used to, it seemed like it was lightly fried which was different but was done well as it still was crispy but also light and not oily. I ordered the steak which was so tender and not tough. It literally melted in my mouth. It was well grilled. We also ordered the Mofongo trio and I am used to my plantains being a little more softer, but the star of the show was the shrimp in butter sauce which was amazing. Again not salty, but well seasoned and herby. The lemonade tasted more like a limeade and what I loved about it was it was tart, not sugary and had the hint of vanilla essence just like how my mom does it. This place hit the spot and was a nice welcome to Orlando.

They bring together the best comfort food from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Staff were focused and very kind to everyone who walked in. The place is also consistently busy, one person leaves and two more walk in. You can expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your food but the upside is everything is made in the moment so it will be fresh. Pro tips: There is a small parking lot in the back of the building otherwise you'll need to find street parking. Also you want to set the moment right with Passionfruit juice or a Coco Rico!

We found it totally by accident, just a random stop next to a venue before a show and suddenly I was transported straight back to my NYC days when late‑night chimis were basically a lifestyle. They do have chimis here, but the real star of my personal universe is the Tripleta. Chicken, pernil, ham, lettuce, tomato, potato stix, and that glorious kreme sauce all stacked together like they're auditioning for the sandwich hall of fame. It's so good I don't even pretend to have self‑control anymore, I order one to eat and two to take home because future‑me deserves happiness too. Then come the maduros, sweet and caramelized just right, the kind that instantly hit you with Caribbean nostalgia like a warm breeze and a memory at the same time. And the empanadas? Massive, golden, and addictive. The shrimp scampi one is almost always sold out, which honestly just proves everyone else has good taste too. The vibe is pure Dominican quick‑bite energy: walk in, get hit with the smell of sizzling goodness, and catch the soundtrack of mainstream dembow or reggaeton bouncing off the walls. It's the perfect pre‑game, mid‑night, or post‑party stop, especially since they stay open until 4 AM from Thursday to Saturday. That alone makes them a community service. And because the business started in NYC, the staff will happily chat with you about the city, the food, the culture, whatever you're nostalgic for. It feels like home, but with better parking. If you want real Dominican flavor, late‑night energy, and sandwiches that will ruin you for all other sandwiches, Los Tres Golpes is the move.

Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

We visited around 3:15pm on a Saturday and ordered at a tablet. I got a pernil with plantains and my companion got a churrasco. I also got their limited time St Paddy's day mocktail. It was kind of like a virgin apple mojito and it was really good and refreshing. The pernil was excellent as usual: well sauced and tender and juicy. The churrasco was beautifully cooked and seasoned. They always knock it out of the park here with their meats. The plantains were of course delicious as usual, and the service was great. My only comment is that I could've sworn that this place had Alfajores a few years ago. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall them being delicious and I was sad to not see them on the menu this time. Any way you roll the dice, you won't regret coming to sofrito. The shrimp tacos were a great deal for 8 dollars. 3 tacos with meaty and plump shrimp and fresh veggies in a light sauce. There was a small amount of spicy sauce to kick it up a notch. It took a while to order dessert, but the cheesecake (8 dollars) was fine and they were very to give me an extra slice. While the food is good, the service can be pretty slow and sometimes careless. I thought the people next to me at the other table were patrons, but they looked to be advertisers for the food and promotions. The other staff can get busy, so it is best to pack some patience. When I paid the bill, always a good idea to ask for an itemized bill, so you know what's getting charged. When I paid the bill, I think they first mentioned that it didn't include tip, and I didn't have proper change to give them cash. But after looking closer at the total cost, I am pretty sure it included 20 percent already. Staff needs to be honest about this. Honestly, you all know why I came and this is the reason why I always come on a Tuesday... The mechanical bull! It always comes on Tuesdays around 8:30, and normally ready to ride 15 minutes later. I did not see any other guests ride, and the only other riders was the advertisers. So I took a couple rides on it, and it was just a fun and enjoyable ride. Since the ride operator knows me, he normally goes at a pace where I can just enjoy a thrill without risking of falling off. Good practice before riding the real ones. Honestly, this cowboy is selfish. If it wasn't for the bull rides, the restaurant would just be another nightclub place.. While the food is good and the security staff are nice, the service can be slow and maybe dishonest. I still enjoy this place and love going on Tuesdays mostly because of the free bull rides. As long as they still have em on Tuesday, I will keep on coming to practice, and hopefully will be ready to ride the real bulls again soon! Overall: B- for the restaurant. A+ for the bull rides.

With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.
