Some of the best Cuban food I've had in the US!!! This little food truck is so underrated; it was basically empty while we were there, when it should have been packed. We got two dishes; ropa vieja and roasted pork. Both were amazing; juicy and flavorful. Both the rice (especially the yellow rice) and the beans were good too. And the tostones were some of the richest I've had. Prices were very reasonable. The one sort of negative thing I'd say is it's difficult to access by foot. This is our last stop every single time before we leave Orlando, and we even take our dinner on the plane because it's just that good! The food is absolutely incredible--fresh, authentic, and packed with flavor. Whether it's the ropa vieja, pork steak, Cuban sandwiches, croquetas, empanadas, or the Cuban box, everything we've tried has been outstanding. You can truly taste the love and tradition in every bite. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and it's become a tradition our family looks forward to on every trip. Let me start by saying the service wasn't what I'd expect from a Cuban establishment, whether it's a brick-and-mortar restaurant or a food truck. The young man working the register wasn't very welcoming or polite, which made the experience less enjoyable. As for the food, I personally wasn't impressed with the **croqueta de jamón**, although my husband really enjoyed it. The **papa rellena** also fell short for me. I'm used to it being filled with flavorful Cuban-style picadillo wrapped in a perfectly seasoned, crispy fried potato shell, but this one lacked the flavor I was expecting. It may have fallen a little short of the bold, authentic Cuban flavors I'm accustomed to from growing up in Miami, but I also recognize that everyone's tastes and expectations are different. That said, these were only *antojitos* (snacks/appetizers). We didn't order anything from the regular lunch or dinner menu, so I can't speak to the quality of their entrées. You know it's going to be good when there's a little bit of a line, 30 minutes before closing! If you're in the area near the airport, flying out the next day or dropping off - it's hard to find better Ropa Vieja and value from a fast service food truck. Got the meal with delicious plantains, perfectly cooked and seasoned rice, and a great portion of ropa vieja with good meat. Flavor was delicious, clearly cooked low and slow so the beef was tender. But nobody bothered speaking as good eating is business. On wooden tables by a food truck, hot day, near the airport. Incredible food, but service took awhile I came here around lunch time and ordered a Cuban and 2 smoothies. They told me it would be about 15 minutes, but in reality it took about 45 minutes for my food to come. I wouldn't have minded as much if they would have just said 45 minutes from the start. There was another group waiting and I overheard them mention nearly missing their flight at the airport. Just be aware and order ahead of time if possible. The food itself was incredible. We got a medianoche and the Cuban sandwich. In hindsight, we should have ordered more different sandwiches, since it was just the bread that was different! Regardless, the sandwiches were delicious and generously filled with roasted pork, mustard, Swiss cheese, etc. Yucca fries were perfect - crispy on the outside, starchy on the inside. I was looking for a lunch spot near the airport when I spotted Cubans on Wheels. It did not disappoint! My sister met hubby and I before our flight on a Thursday evening. We all ordered the Cuban sandwich. Her and I chose sweet plantains as the side and hubby got the tostones. The Cuban sandwich was very good! The bread was authentic and perfectly pressed. They added plenty of Cuban pork, ham, and Swiss cheese. Both the sweet plantains and the tostones were excellent. I loved the cilantro sauce on the side. This is a food truck with a few picnic tables in a strip center parking lot, so it's nothing fancy. What is lacking in ambiance is made up for with delicious food and really friendly service. One of the best Cuban sandwiches ever! I lived in Tampa for 27 years and consider myself a connoisseur of the Cuban sandwich. I moved to Georgia recently and when people ask what I miss my answer is always good Cuban food. It starts with the right bread. I asked and they get theirs from La Segunda which is the right answer. Several people told me about this truck and now I know why. The truck is behind Denny's on S. Semaron so make sure you don't pass it. To the side of the truck they have some seating to eat outside. The size of the sandwich and the amount of meat you get in the sandwich is a great value. Not only is it a hefty size sandwich but it truly has all the authentic Cuban palomilla flavors in every bite. I normally don't eat con gris but I decided to try their version and I was pleasantly surprised. It was rich in flavor and the rice was really soft. They have several different menu items to choose from and even their own take on Mac and cheese with different kinds of meat, which I will be trying next time. The price includes a choice of side amd I went with the sweet plantain that were nice and tender and just sweet enough to be both savory and touch that need for a sweet treat at the same time. The staff was nice and friendly and it took about 10 minutes from ordering to getting my food with one order in front of mine. The food came out piping hot where I had to not hold the bottom of the container which is a good problem to have.
