Unlike the downtown bar scene, this felt perfect to sit with good drinks and listen to the DJ that night (8pm on), and while some people were up dancing, we were perfectly happy hanging out with our margaritas and enjoying the evening. We started with the sampler platter of queso, ceviche, and street corn, and the street corn is definitely a must-try! I ordered the Birria ramen, which I had to try since I've never seen it anywhere else, and it was incredible. My wife had the snapper, which was such a unique find at a Mexican restaurant, and she said it was delicious. Our friend ordered the fajitas, and we all ended up sharing because we wanted to try all the dishes. We finished with the fried ice cream for dessert, which I haven't seen at many places, and I have been absolutely craving it. Get it if they have it! All in all, excellent food, great drinks, and a fun, laid-back atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered the Elotes off the cob ($11.99) and the Molcajete ($30) which is grilled fajita steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, onions, nopal cactus and cheese. We also ordered one Margarita ($16). We first experienced a Molcajete in a restaurant in Mazatlan, Mexico and fell in love with it and all of its ingredients including the cactus. This Molcajete at Cocina Maya was soooo tasty. Served in an actual Molcajete which is made from lava rock and it holds the heat very very well. We shared this between the two of us and still had a decent amount to bring home with us. The Elotes was very tasty and the corn was nice and firm and it was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive. The dining room is light in colors and there is a lot of light that shines through the windows. This restaurant is a good distance from our home, and well worth the drive to it. We most definitely recommend this tasty restaurant.

The restaurant was empty. 10 minutes later, there wasn't an open seat in the restaurant. Heidi took care of us. Here recommendations were on point! The guacamole was the best we've EVER had. Seriously. The flavors were very very good, The margaritas were woooooooooooo!!!! . Had to take a nap before we drove!!! They were great. Heidi recommended the Molcajete. It had shrimp, chicken chorizo and steak. It was amazing dish. The flavors combined in your mouth and brought joy to my belly We are definitely going back!

Tacos were also very good! They have very good deals during happy hour. I am coming back for sure to get Victoria and the guac, service was also good! The whole concept of the restaurant is very cute as well, all the decor wedding theme is just so cool and unique! Loved it. They also offer plenty parking space.

Our oldest son couldn't stop getting out of his chair and dancing! I ordered a delicious horchata drink and the three taco combo so I could sample several of the tacos on the menu. I ordered the carne asada, carnita, and pastor. They were all very good and I loved the purple corn tortillas. The portions were large enough that I think I would only order two next time. My husband's birria tacos were huge, messy and delicious. I'm embarrassed to say that my boys aren't huge fans of Mexican food other than chips and guac or salsa or queso. I don't know if it's the seasoning and the combination of textures and flavors that they resist. Unfortunately there are no alternatives for picky kids since the kid's menu is quesadillas, enchiladas, and tacos. We convinced my oldest to order a chicken quesadilla and he ate about half of it, but my stubborn youngest son just at chips and guac for dinner. Will be back to force my kids to try more of the menu because I am determined for them to expand their palates!

I had the carne asada which came with guac, tortillas, rice, beans and instead of shrimp I was able to get carnitas. The carne asada must have been marinaded because it had such good flavor. One of my favorite meals that weekend and I wasn't even sure I was going to like it at first. Ambiance was nice and the service was just as great as the food. Highly recommend this place!

Everyone in the entire restaurant was wearing sweatshirts. Some pros and cons: It's inside the Hilton hotel so it's convenient for those staying there. If you're not staying there, it's not so convenient. Parking is $40! You have to get validation and you only get that if you spend $75 or more. The Resy reservation system says you have to purchase two entrees to get it, so it's conflicting. Parking is in a garage which you have to take the elevator. They also have valet which is fine for those who want to tip. Our server was working hard, very nice and apologetic. The food was just ok. We got- 2 carne asada quesadillas, 1 kids carne asada quesadilla and chips with salsa. The green salsa was the highlight! I ordered my quesadilla without pepper and onion and I ended up getting pepper and onion, so it honestly wasn't enjoyable for me. It was greasy. I don't like sending back food. I ended up wrapping it to go. Overall, the vibe was that of a hotel restaurant with mediocre food and overpriced but good servers!!
