Food was good. The jerk chicken taco had a weird taste at first. It was sweet and then I noticed that there were plantains in the taco. That made sense and made it amazing. The stew chicken taco was good. The meat is plentiful. The chickenpatty was just ok. I would have preferred the beef, but they were out so those must have been good. The service and the customer service amazing. The staff and owner were so welcoming. We will definitely return for the beef patties and the bao.

This place is so cute and they're so kind. The menu is excellent and the food is addictive. The bao buns with the seasoning in the meat is so delectable. 10/10 will definitely be back.

My mom and grandma called saying they got me food from a food truck while they were put grocery shopping. Ironically my sister saw something about them recently on social media. My mom got me their oxtail bao bun! The bun was so soft and it had oxtail, cabbage and sweet plantain. Such a great combination! Their beef patty was nice and flaky and full of flavor and meat. I tried my sister's curry goat! Rice and peas was cooked perfect and the curry goat was really good. I would of just like extra sauce to it but that is just my preference. I will definitely go here to get food on my own! Worth it!

This spot is located IN THE LOWES PARKING LOT!!!! Met Mika who greeted me with an amazing smile. Customers service 5/5. The meal I purchased was the oxtail platter. Having it in a tin pan is genius bc it keeps the food warm. The oxtail was delicious and they gave me a healthy portion. The cabbage was OMG so good. And I rarely eat cabbage bc some ppl don't cook it right. This was by far above my expectations. The rice was the plantain, the entire dish was so good!! I definitely will be back there... since it's the only option for Jamaican in this area that I know of. I definitely would buy the cabbage in a large side alone. See you soon! -Ermi

Food truck and this review is limited as I haven't tried the whole menu yet but I do know their spicy beef, jerk chicken, and vegan patties are top tier. The workers are all so kind and they bring your order to your car so you don't have to wait in the heat. Will definitely be back to try the rest!

I visited Kingston5 and honestly, everything I tried was amazing from start to finish. I started with the beef patty, and it was everything you want in a patty; buttery, flaky, and full of rich beefy goodness. You can taste the quality in every bite. Next up was the Rassclatt Taco in the brown stew chicken flavor. This one really stood out, the chicken was tender and flavorful, the cabbage added the perfect crunch, and the sweet plantain with that sauce tied everything together beautifully. Every element complemented the next. Then I tried the Bumbaclaat Bao with curry chicken, and it was out of this world. The bao was soft, and the curry chicken filling was bursting with flavor. It had just the right amount of spice and richness to make you go back for another bite immediately. Finally, I had the oxtail platter, and this dish sealed the deal for me. The rice and peas were soft and seasoned just right, the cabbage had a mild pepper kick, the plantains were perfectly sweet, and the oxtails, tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I loved the addition of the large kidney beans and the hint of sweetness that balanced the savory flavors across the plate. Everything was delicious, the portions were great, and the food came out fresh and full of flavor. Kingston5 truly delivers authentic, well-crafted Jamaican cuisine with their own creative twist. I'll definitely be back!

Cute ambiance for parking lot setup, service was nice, food looks amazing, oxtails was too sweet for me

Amazing Food Truck, coming from Jamaican parentage, I was a little hesitant because all Jamaican food is NOT created equal. Located in the parking lot of Lowe's parking lot in Lake Nona, although hesitant, not disappointed. The young woman who took our order was pleasant, professional and explained the menu. I ordered the oxtail and she let me know right away it's not spicy, but sweet. Usually, Jamaicans cook their oxtail with scotch bonnet pepper so when I heard people's reviews complaining, it was a bit annoying as everyone does not cook them the same. I also got a side of pepper sauce, that was really good too. The oxtail was fantastic and the rice! Not everyone knows how to cook "rice and peas" but it definitely hit the spot. Hubs ordered the curry goat and that was delicious as well. I am definitely going back to order other items from their fusion menu. Plenty of parking around the truck and the truck itself has a Jamaican vibe. Definitely a go to!

This is such a delicious food truck and yes it gets busy!!! They have oxtails, jerk chicken, baos, tacos and so much more!! I got to try their beef patty & jerk patty and both were so flaky and tasty!! I've thought about them multiple times since I tried it. Got the oxtail platter which is a generous amount. They do sell out of oxtails so hurry and get there early. The owners are soooo nice! Def worth a try!

FINALLY LAKE NONA HAS AN AMAZING SPOT TO COME GRAB A JAMAICAN PLATE. The flavors are incredible! Bold and authentic! The have all the Jamaican staples: oxtail, goat, curry, and brown stewie (my absolute fav) The best part is that it's fusion style! So you can get your platters and have BAO + TACOS with your favorite meats. They even have veggie patties, jerk chicken patties, and your original beef patties. They are located in the parking lot of the Lowes in Lake Nona and the owners are some of the coolest and kindest people ever.

Kingston 5 is easily one of the best food trucks I've tried. The food was packed with flavor and tasted fresh and homemade. Everything was seasoned perfectly and had that true Jamaican taste. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even with a line. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food. The smell alone will pull you in, and the taste will make you want to come back. I'll definitely be stopping by again.

Curry goat, sweet plantains with rice and peas

Food is delicious, I got the curry goat with sweet plantain with rice and peas. The outside is very nice with a place to eat.

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

I bought 3 chicken tacos (about 12 dollars), then sat in an empty table to wait. It was ready for me in under 10 minutes. The tacos were small, but they had a good amount of chicken, cheese, onions, tomato, and cilantro. A choice of sauce was included, and I took the hot red sauce. The sauce was small, but still ample enough to pour over the three tacos. The flavors were pretty good (thanks to the heat from the sauce) and it was filling enough for me, though the flour tortillas was a bit too hard for me. The service was pretty good, though I ordered from the kiosk and I picked up my order after they called my name. However, they did check up on me, as well a provided water to cops, and removed empty items from the tables. The staff were quite friendly. The dining area was small and a bit boring. There were 2TVs showing ads for their products, and 1 displaying a horse race. The restaurant was quite cramped, and I was thankful to find a table. It's located in downtown, so parking will be either in a meter or a garage. This restaurant serves pretty good tacos at a reasonable price, but the atmosphere was a bit bland for a taqueria. It was also small and can get crowded and full easily. Best to have this to go or delivered. It's still a nice restaurant for tacos in downtown.
