My husband tried to call 3 times and no one picked up the phone. Attempted to order take out today. Notice I said attempted. Person who answered the phone transferred me to take out line. Where I remained on hold for close to 10 minutes. Ended up hanging up and ordering elsewhere. Good place to grab a bite in a lively environment. Here's the spiel - The fried pickles had too much salt. My medium well steak and baked potato came out as a well done chewy steak and loaded mash potatoes. I didn't want to wait for another steak so I told the waiter I'll eat this one. (I got a small one anyways since I just wanted something quick before running off to my next errand) What threw me off a bit was the fact that we weren't halfway done with our meal and apart from knowingly getting it wrong he brings out the check and says "no rush" 1. We're not close to done and 2. Didn't ask if we wanted desert. 3. We didn't even get to finish in peace because he kept hovering to see if we were ready to pay. As a comp for the wrong order he brings over a card to fill out for a free app. We didn't fill them out because it was raffle that anyone could have filled out and it requires to leave all our info to be part of a mailing list. Pretty bad service. Young lady introduces herself as Tania, but her name tag says Connie. She has no clue about most things on the menu. Knows nothing about drink prices. Yes I ask drink prices, because I don't want to pay $15 for a weak drink. Messed up our food order. Then when I asked her where my shrimps were at, she went to get them. We were charged as separate items. I asked her to correct it, she came back and said the manager advised there is no price difference as a combo meal or separate dish. Which we all know it's bull. I went here for dinner recently.. As always, the place was packed. The wait was supposed to be 30 minutes but I ended up waiting for about 50 minutes. Once seated, the waitress immediately brought us some rolls. The rolls were piping hot. With the cinnamon butter, it was the bomb! The waitress also gave us a pail of peanuts as well. The peanuts were a bit salty which I didn't really care for. For entrees, we ordered country fried chicken and a half slab of ribs. For sides, we got sweet potato, corn and caesar salad. I ordered via Grubhub and called shortly after to ask for extra sauce (option not on the Grubhub app). The very nice employee I spoke with accidentally placed the sauces in the wrong bag. When I called, not only was he very apologetic, but the manager asked him to personally deliver the sauces to my home. I cannot think of another establishment that would have gone this extra mile! However, since COVID, everything has gone downhill. I understand that it is harder for businesses these days but the experiences I've had was just unacceptable. I didn't like the baby back ribs too much but the Prime Rib was amazing. The sides are quite good too. The highlight of this chain is the bread with the cinnamon butter. So good! Located in the outskirts of Everett, this place oozes 'murica. Definitely a fun place to be for all ages. They carry an expansive menu with a loud bar atmosphere and country music playing in the background. The lady staff round up and do their country dance, though the frequency of this show per night is unknown. They do a special shout out for every customer's birthday with a customary 'yeehaw' and saddle seat. Hearty, hearty portions. ++Their house bread is addicting- freshly made, hot and sweet by itself. ++Recommend their blooming onion for starters- their thousand-island-like dipping sauce is slightly spicy. Feeds 4-5 people. For entrees, I had their 'Road Kill'- thought this is the one time the fine print is imperative to read. Although it was under the "hand cut steaks" section, it's actually a chopped steak- so it turned out more like a steak patty, which was slightly disappointing but still good when hot. The food is decent, but there are definitely better options out there. They have an online system where you can put your name on the waitlist ahead of time, but I'm not convinced on it's accuracy. The restaurant was super busy so I could see how the wait time can easily stack up, especially since there's no way to make a specific reservation time unless you have a group of 6+. Bread and butter is of course a must! We ended up getting 3 baskets because the waitress kept us topped up, which we appreciated so much. They no longer have peanuts in those big barrels, but they are individually packaged now so definitely ask for those. - Cactus blossom ($6.99 each): I'm not a fan of onions so I have a biased opinion lol. Nonetheless, my friends really enjoyed them and I know this is a very popular appetizer. I liked the sauce it came with and ended up dipping fries into it. - 6oz Sirloin ($12.99 each): our table ordered four sirloins that came with sides. We all ordered it to be cooked medium, but all of them were cooked to different temperatures. Mine was more of a medium-well, but I personally don't really care so I ate it anyways. Not much flavor besides a ton of salt. All of our steaks were pretty tough and I ended up only eating about half of it. The sides we got (corn, Caesar salad, fries, baked potato, assorted veggies) ended up tasting better than the entree itself. With all the appetizers/sides we had, I wasn't left hungry - Frozen sangria ($7.75): HUGE 18oz glass. Pretty good, but not very strong. One of the only chain restaurants I've ever been to that consistently deserves at least 4 stars. The staff here is really on top of their game, if there is no wait at the hostess stand, you are legit seated within 30 seconds EVERY time. I've been to horribly managed chains that don't have anyone watching the front and think it's not that important when in reality, it always is. Then of course you've got the hot bread the waitress or hostess picks up as they walk you to your table. If you don't love the cinnamon butter, you have no soul. I'm sure there is at least three extra pounds on my body because of these blasted little buggers, if we don't have at least two baskets full of the bread then we shouldn't have gone without an appetite to begin with. Again, the servers are always top notch. I like to put my drink to the end of a table to "test" if a waitress picks up on the cue that it needs to be refilled. Just last night we both did this and without even asking, the waitress showed up with two fresh waters, nice! I've rarely seen an upset worker here so it's really drilled into them to be pleasant and courteous. The food is always consistent, everything from the appetizers to the variety of entrees we have tried. The only letdown so far has been the pulled pork, which came out dry and tough and we had to ask for more BBQ sauce in an attempt to mask this. There are few times I go in here and don't get the fried pickles to start, even though I dread it later after loading up on bread and peanuts (my favoritest snack in the world!). I always order my steaks rare and never once has it come out as anything but. Plus, I'm a sucker for the evenly distributed grill marks. Although the sirloin can be a bit chewy (I could never imagine ordering one more than medium rare), it's sufficient at around $10 - 12 for that and two sides. The chili is also another personal fav of my mine here, it's consistently meaty and I love how it's made to order since I hate onions. I could do without the line dancing but the 90's country that is playing during your time here harkens me back to high school, Friday night lights and pickup trucks. If the service sucked we might not as return as often but because it's so damn consistently good and the restaurant is only a few miles from where we live, I'm here more than probably any other chain in the city. The manager who was doing orders via front door told us to move from the numbered spot to one further out (he wasn't the one taking our order); fine. His response was "ok well thats how it works guys" After finally getting our food and opening it at home we discovered a piece of hair in my side order. We were too far to drive back and nobody was answering the phones (we called back at 6, they say open till 9). I have red long hair, this was a short dark piece of hair. I am absolutely disgusted. The service wasn't great, but I can deal with that. Buy when i start finding hair in my food, thats when its not ok. The manager was rude, and had a serious attitude. I understand its a lot with curbside, but instead guide us on how to go through curbside, not say ok well thats how it works here's your food. We had a bit of a mishap with sitting at the bar since we were a party of four and there were no seats that let four people sit together, so I had asked for the buzzer we originally had back. Well literally two seconds later we decided we'll make it work and we'll wait at the bar, told her never mind, and she just gave me eyerolls and faces (before and after I returned the buzzer). I understand that she might have been annoyed with the confusion but please acknowledge that this is literally what you signed up to do. Have a little patience. I wasn't even being annoying about it. I'm sure you want to be somewhere else Monday night but at least do your job. Second, the waiter was not into it at all. Don't think workers there should be wearing "I love my job" shirts if they really don't. We asked for honey mustard on the side and he just said a monotone sure, walked away, came back and just dropped it off our table. You can get a small, medium, or large piece of protein (usually cow), fried things, and other carbohydrates. There may be vegetables. Everything is large and is more food than sedentary humans should eat. Appetizers are the size of main dishes. There are piles of bread and peanuts in case this isn't enough food for you. It's designed for the humans of Wall-E. But, honestly, I had a pretty good time and I'd come back. Sure, you can order a fried onion and a 20+ ounce steak and such. But, they also have smaller sirloin, and for the price, they are damn good steaks! Good beef flavor, not tough, doesn't need sauce. Cooked exactly as you ordered it. Salads are perfectly good servings of greens. The beer is the coldest I've had I ages. Seriously, it was one step warmer than liquid nitrogen. As importantly: super family friendly. It's next to Costco and Target. Get your family shopping done. (Oh, and Total Wine. Daddy needs more gin. ) Then come here on a Tuesday for $1.99 kid's meals and entertainment and staff who tolerate your little monsters dancing in the aisles and ripping their menus. It comes with your choice of two sides, i got the seasoned rice, which i thought was pretty good and i hate like american rice, since im used to jasmine rice, actually i don't know why im calling it american rice, haha, and also the steak fries were delicious because of its seasoning as well. My sirloin was over cooked but they were so busy I knew if I sent it back, my fiancé would have been done eating by the time the kitchen re-fired my meal. His steak was cooked fine though. For my sides, I got a side salad and loaded fries. My salad was fresh but it didn't have croutons on it. Total bummer. The fries were old and laden with grease. Took a few bites of them and just gave up. We went with another couple, who also did not enjoy their meal. Service was fine, though nothing spectacular. A full metal bucket of peanuts greeted us at our table and the slightly sweet warm golden rolls with creamy cinnamoned butter soon followed. The service was pleasant, but the one who took the orders was not necessarily the ones who delivered them... so we had a few sides confused, but they fixed it all as soon as they could. And when an entree was off, a new one was brought with fresh sides even though the original sides were already consumed during the wait. The fries weren't all as crispy as I like, but I enjoyed the taste of my DC's mashed potatoes (loaded for $1.19) as it not only tasted good, but had that lumpiness that hints of being made from actual potatoes. Been here a few times now, and it seems to get better everytime!! Of course their bread and cinnamon butter is delicious and the perfect starter. I also love the baby blossom, which is still huge, but very reasonably priced. My boyfriend (Mr. Steak Expert) thinks this place's bone-in ribeye steak is easily one of the best steaks he has ever had! I love the steak as well, along with the ribs, shrimp, potatoes, veggies...even the rice is excellent! And last, but certainly not least, their margaritas are very close to perfection! I love the atmosphere (no, I am not afraid to admit I do love me some good ol' country music sometimes), super friendly staff, excellent food and drinks, and great prices!! I know this place is a chain, but I only wish more places (chains or mom & pops) were half as good as Texas Roadhouse. read more
