A full metal bucket of peanuts greeted us at our table and the slightly sweet warm golden rolls with creamy cinnamoned butter soon followed. The service was pleasant, but the one who took the orders was not necessarily the ones who delivered them... so we had a few sides confused, but they fixed it all as soon as they could. And when an entree was off, a new one was brought with fresh sides even though the original sides were already consumed during the wait. And now for the food - *ribs - tender, fall of the bones; would eat again *fries - steak fries, okay, kinda lost some crispness while waiting for me under the ribs *country fried chicken - a single chicken breast, spread out and flatted, and fried with some kind of batter; choice of beef based dark gravy or chicken based milk gravy - the waitress kindly offered to bring both on the side when I hesitated on choosing one *green beans - I was warned that they came with onions and bacon, I was not warned that they were a wet side dish, nor that they were a small cupful in portion... The restaurant was still rather busy though. Unfortunately, for Saturday lunch they only have the dinner menu available, on which options do include sandwiches as well as dinner sized entrees for dinner sized appetites. We were immediately settled at a booth with a full pail of peanuts and a second pail for the shells, and two baskets of their yummy buns and butter - enough for each of us to have our own little butter tub. So off I went, ripping off pieces of hot bun and swiping it against the butter so that it could breathe some of it in before I popped them into my mouth. Against my better judgment, I ordered the fish and chips $10.99 with the chili as my second side, even though I knew for sure I had no chance of finishing it, when I had already consumed 2 rolls and a few peanuts and had begun munching on the shared Cactus Blossom appetizer ($4.99). And, I was right. The chili made its way down, since it was served when my DCs received their house salads, and it wasn't all that large. But despite the light and crispy fried batter of my well fried 3 pieces of fish, I could only finish off one piece with the help of the tartar sauce. The fries weren't all as crispy as I like, but I enjoyed the taste of my DC's mashed potatoes (loaded for $1.19) as it not only tasted good, but had that lumpiness that hints of being made from actual potatoes. Been here a few times now, and it seems to get better everytime!! Of course their bread and cinnamon butter is delicious and the perfect starter. I also love the baby blossom, which is still huge, but very reasonably priced. My boyfriend (Mr. Steak Expert) thinks this place's bone-in ribeye steak is easily one of the best steaks he has ever had! I love the steak as well, along with the ribs, shrimp, potatoes, veggies...even the rice is excellent! And last, but certainly not least, their margaritas are very close to perfection! I love the atmosphere (no, I am not afraid to admit I do love me some good ol' country music sometimes), super friendly staff, excellent food and drinks, and great prices!! My sirloin was over cooked but they were so busy I knew if I sent it back, my fiancé would have been done eating by the time the kitchen re-fired my meal. His steak was cooked fine though. For my sides, I got a side salad and loaded fries. My salad was fresh but it didn't have croutons on it. Total bummer. The fries were old and laden with grease. Took a few bites of them and just gave up. We went with another couple, who also did not enjoy their meal. Service was fine, though nothing spectacular. Had to ask for refills on everything multiple times. I understand they were super busy, and probably short staffed so I didn't expect things to be perfect considering the circumstances. Chicken was thin and cooked perfectly. I just dip it in my gravy instead of smothering the gravy all over the fried chicken. My husband got the half rack of ribs&steak. The steak was still pink in the middle which he liked. I was surprised, I thought it would have been completely cooked since the waiter didn't ask how he want the steak cooked. The ribs were decent, not falling off the bone but BBQ tasted good. The kids mini cheeseburgers (2 sliders, steak fries and a drink) were "chewy" as they described it. The patties were quite over cooked. The buns were a bit toasted. Poor service and was never greeted by the hostess when we walked in. They kept on talking to each other until we walked up to the podium.

The server was excellent. Very attentive, and brought everything out in a timely manner. The drinks were weak, but attractive in presentation. There is an option to order a "kicker," which is a small plastic test tube of pure liquor. I ordered two of their margaritas and a kicker in each of them, which made the drink stronger and much better. The steak I ordered was around $30. and had lots of fat and gristle, and was much too thin. Probably won't be returning. read more

Love this place. Been to this specific location many times and I've never had a bad experience. The warm bread is utterly delicious and the sweet butter it comes with is even better! They give you as much as you like and it's the best thing ever! We called ahead and were sorted within 5 minutes of walking in even though there were tons of people there and it was very busy. Service was great overall. The waitress was nice and friendly but wasn't fake or trying too hard. She got us everything we needed and kept coming by to check on us periodically. We never had to wait long for anything. This time around I got the ribeye and it was so so good. I asked for medium well and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The center was fully cooked yet tender and juicy throughout. Asked for it to be smothered which was the best decision because the melted cheese along with the grilled mushrooms and onions was a great touch. The veggies were seasoned and grilled to perfection. The entre comes with two sides so I picked the mashed potatoes and buttered corn. I was not disappointed. They were both well seasoned and very tasty. Portions are great for the price you're paying. They brought out a little sampler plate of some of their sides (green beans, mashed, chili, and corn) I really liked that. They were all so tasty. I ended up ordering the 8 oz sirloin (med rare) with mashed & corn. Extra Extra gravy. I am sort of a steak snob so I always get nervous when my steak comes out. Tonight was the first time I was here in over 7 years (not even kidding). I was quite excited because I remember this place to be one of my favorite steak restaurants. I know people rave about their bread all the time so I was super excited for that too. I came here with a party of 12 around 5:30PM and were able to get seated right away. We got the $9.99 combo deal that was available before 6PM every week day so everybody ordered combos from that menu. Service was attentive and great. Our server Danara (I think that's how you spell her name) handled our large party well. However, I was less than impressed with the food. The reason why this review is two stars is because the bread is just TOO GOOD. I ordered the country fried chicken with steak fries and buttered corn. The fried chicken literally tastes like it was frozen for days before it got fried. Something about it was off. I was also expecting fried chicken wings, not flatted chicken with no bones. The fries were really good. The buttered corn was good until I realized they put too much black pepper seasoning. It was quite overwhelming, so I only had two bites. The chicken comes with gravy too, but I asked for it on the side. Thank goodness I did because the gravy was HORRIBLE. I don't even know how to describe it. Maybe I should've opted for the white gravy instead of the brown. The 6 oz. sirloin was the biggest disappointment of the night. My sister ordered a medium rare. I expected it to be juicy, but rather it was dry and overcooked. It was definitely not the kind of steak I remember Texas Roadhouse was known for. By the end of the night, I was glad that they had the $9.99 deal because it was not worth any more than that. Be ready for a very crowded and noisy environment, and if you don't book in advance, you might have to wait a long time especially on Sunday night. Came in on a busy night yesterday and honestly could not be any happier with the decision on coming here for dinner. Our server Trevor was extremely attentive serving me and my boyfriend while working the bar. It was clear he's been working there for a while cause he knew the menu like the back of his hand. I unfortunately didn't take note of the food runners name, however he was absolutely amazing as well. Extremely kind considering how hectic it was in the restaurant, took the time to ask me to cut into my steak to check if it was cooked the way I liked it. It caught me off guard but well appreciated considering not even the high end steak houses never asked. The only thing that I wish I had a better experience with was all of the hosts. I felt unwelcomed at first, there was no friendly interaction. When I came in the lady just looked at me until I took the initiative to greet her and ask her for a table for two. She seemed annoyed and I felt like I interrupted her conversation with the other hosts for being present. She asked for my name, number, stated the estimated wait time, and told us to wait outside.
