So glad a bb.q chicken opened up in Malden! This was my first time dining in at a bb.q chicken and the decor and vibes inside is great for a hangout with friends at any time of the day. We came on a Friday evening around dinner and it got packed quickly-- seems like everyone is excited for this place! It's a little chaotic as it's their opening week but food is tasty as expected. I was disappointed with our chicken portion though. We ordered a 8pc half chicken but was served 3.5 wings with a few chunks of chicken pieces. This is not what I would expect from a half chicken cut. Not sure if it was a mistake or a way to cut costs but we didn't get any pieces from the breast or thigh as we even got a drumstick cut in half. Update: have gone back a month later and things seem to be much more streamlined and consistent!

Nice place with really great food. My friend and I got the soy garlic chicken wings and sausage and rice cake skewers. For drinks we had the lychee martini and lychee rose. Definitely would come back. Nice ambience as well. Not too loud especially for a bar.

I am thrilled that a bbq chicken opened in Malden and happy it is soo close! I had been to a few in philly, but have to say this one out does the others. Incredible interior and decor with a really cool space for gatherings and fun. Also a bar! Food was perfect when we went. I got my favorite the honey garlic chicken as well as the fries. These always are extremely crunchy! The rest of the menu looks great too with good prices and a lot of tasty options I look forward to try. I highly recommend and will be back!

Waiting for more than half hour even though I just ordered only 1 dish. Customer services so slow and always make the wrong note for food. They take back and stir-ry again. Just only burned smell and taste when they take back to me :))). Since they change employee or the people who work in kitchen. Their food got worst since 2 months ago. Dissapointed!!!

If you're craving Korean fried chicken in Malden, definitely check out BBQ Chicken. I've been a few times now, both dining in and getting takeout, and the quality has been consistently excellent. The chicken is always fresh and delicious, and the service is very friendly. They are efficient, too--I didn't have to wait long, even dining in. Quick note: I've tried the Quincy H Mart location, and I personally preferred the taste there just a bit, but honestly, this Malden location is super convenient and the food is still really, really good. It's the perfect choice when you don't want to make the drive!

Original whole chicken with secret sauce on the side and ddeok bokki.

Fried chicken was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ddeok bokki tasted good, but was a bit too spicy for me.

My friends and I were excited to try out this location, we ordered half & half-soy garlic & geontang. Chicken was good but a bit too much batter in my opinion. Fried dumplings were tasty. Lastly, the army stew was a huge disappointment, typically army stew comes in a big pot with lots of ingredients. Here, it's in a small sized pot, probably 1 pack instant noodles. Barely could feed 1 person. For $25, it's not worth the price. Lacks flavors and it didn't come out boiling hot. Just go for the chicken.

Accessible by bus (stop is right outside) or street parking if you drive. Our server was super nice and attentive! Thank you first of all! We ordered the following dishes: +Kimchi seafood pancake - overall profile nice, different look then I've seen but flavor profile was fine for me, messy and fell apart but many places are like that no biggie scoop em up! +Spicy beef stew with glass noodles and rice. Flavorwise, well seasoned broth enjoyed it on a cold day, wish it was actually spicy. Pork bulgogi, I'm usually accustomed to gochujang chili paste style with onions and carrots but they have a different take. It was more a tangy sweet bbq or teriyaki style with a load of bean sprouts (i personally hate bean sprouts not that i can't eat it haha) not my cup of tea tho. Overall thank you for the meal and the great service. Dishes didn't hit it out of the park for me. All the best!

I believe this is a family-owned establishment, offering Korean cuisine. We arrived slightly before they opened back up for dinner, & ended up being their first customers for the evening. Throughout our entire meal, we had the same server who helped us... she was very nice & sweet! We ended up ordering these three dishes to try: -kimchi seafood pancake -spicy beef stew -pork bulgogi Thoughts: So, I was reading some reviews before coming here & I was kind of shocked that they charge extra if you want banchan here lol. I've never seen this before. Anywho, didn't end up getting banchan to try. All the dishes took around 10-20 min to arrive, with the kimchi seafood pancake being served to us first. I personally enjoyed it! It was crispy on the edges/crust but it was a little hard to eat only because it kept falling apart on us. For the pork bulgogi (grill), we were expecting the usual gochujang + gochugaru w/ carrots + onions on a skillet. This was simply served on a white plate w/ a bunch of bean sprouts. We were not expecting there to be bean sprouts at all lol & the menu does not include descriptions for any of their dishes, other than the alert server of any allergies. We're not allergic to bean sprouts by any means, but do not enjoy eating them. It was a bit unexpected since we've never experience this dish being cooked this way. Aside from the bean sprouts in the pork bulgogi, I would say this dish was overall not a hit for us. The flavor profile was similar to teriyaki sauce? Not exactly sure but just ended up not being anything we envisioned. Now, as for the spicy beef stew, I enjoyed the flavor! It came with glass noodles & a side of rice. Portion sizes were average & on par with other Korean spots in MA, in my opinion. I would say, one thing I wished was if everything was spicier. We found all the dishes to be very mild in spice. Overall, I would say 3/5. It unfortunately didn't hit the spot for us. The prices were also on the higher side. Normally it wouldn't matter if the flavors were there for us but I don't think we will be returning any time soon. Perhaps maybe in the future to try their sundubu jjigae/tofu soup as I see great reviews for that dish from here. Parking: street parking

Our favorite were the tangsuyuk and the soondubu. The pork was super crispy and the dipping sauce was refreshingly tangy. The soondubu had a great heat that was flavorful but passed quickly so you could enjoy sweating too much. Service: Our waiter was pleasant but with the dining area pretty empty more frequent check-ins would be appreciated. Atmosphere: The interior was clean but I would describe the decor as nondescript Asian. Our primary complaint was definitely a fruit fly that kept buzzing around us. Some fly traps would solve the issue.

They gave me the wrong food after around 20 minutes, and refused to make the correction. I had to contact the customer service to cancel my order after 30 more minutes. Also, as a Korean restaurant the staffs there are non-Asian and have very limited English level. I wonder if they have the basic ability to read the English translations for Asian dishes and get to know customers' needs, especially for online orders. If you don't mind waiting and getting the wrong food, you might go there. Otherwise, please kindly consider somewhere else.

Friendly service. -- Chongqing Style Spicy Chicken: The classic dish with as many red chile peppers as bite-sized chicken nuggets. Smaller pieces than most, but crisp without being dry, and full of flavor even beyond the spice. Solid. -- Crispy Fried Pork W/ Sweet Sour Sauce: This isn't your daddy's old school Chinese American sweet and sour, and that's a good thing. But first, the pork: thin, flat slices with an even thinner batter reminiscent of tempura-- so light and crispy it crackled like broken glass. The sauce had syrup consistency, golden color instead of the old school red, and more sour than sweet. A spectacular dish if you like sweet and sour, and a good one even if you don't. -- Sautéed Pork Belly with Hot Pepper: Firm slices of pork with so little fat you can eat the whole thing without inspection. The hot peppers weren't so hot, so while this was enjoyable as a simple pork and vegetable dish, it had no spicy flavor pizzaz suggested in the name and evident in similar examples elsewhere. On the other hand, it did have pleasant black bean flavor. -- Sautéed Shredded Beef With Long Horn Pepper: Numerous slivers of tender beef with more of an understated thin gravy than sauce, with the peppers crisp but not that peppery. Mild but substantial. Bonus points for all of the following: - The server coming back and double checking to make sure we still wanted a dish we ordered after letting us know it was cold. - A tablet on the table with the menu showing photos of every dish to assist in ordering decisions. - A municipal parking lot across the street. - Cute branded takeout bags.

My favorite was the braised Japanese tofu and the sweet & sour fish. They debone the whole fish while maintaining a beautiful presentation on the plate. It was fried perfectly and didn't come out soggy even with the sauce on it. I would definitely come back to try more dishes.
