Our go to local fried chicken spot! We usually go to the one in near copley but it's nice not to have to venture into Boston for some KFC. I've only ever been on a weekday so it's usually kind of empty but they have a nice karaoke set up so I feel like it would be super fun on the weekends! The food is consistently good - we always get the spicy golden chicken and mix it up with a wildcard flavor! We also recently tried the skewers with sausage and grilled rice cakes and that was really good! They have a lot of specials here that I haven't seen at other places! Like if you spend over $50 or something then you can pay $1 for a slice of cake we were too full to get it but we def will try next time read more

So glad a bb.q chicken opened up in Malden! This was my first time dining in at a bb.q chicken and the decor and vibes inside is great for a hangout with friends at any time of the day. We came on a Friday evening around dinner and it got packed quickly-- seems like everyone is excited for this place! It's a little chaotic as it's their opening week but food is tasty as expected. I was disappointed with our chicken portion though. We ordered a 8pc half chicken but was served 3.5 wings with a few chunks of chicken pieces. This is not what I would expect from a half chicken cut. Not sure if it was a mistake or a way to cut costs but we didn't get any pieces from the breast or thigh as we even got a drumstick cut in half. I am thrilled that a bbq chicken opened in Malden and happy it is soo close! I had been to a few in philly, but have to say this one out does the others. Incredible interior and decor with a really cool space for gatherings and fun. Also a bar! Food was perfect when we went. I got my favorite the honey garlic chicken as well as the fries. I would say this place is a solid 3.5 stars, so I am rounding up to 4. We have gotten take out a few times thus far and are consistently happy with their fried chicken. We usually order their Half & Half Wings and choose the Golden Original and Honey Garlic flavor. Love that even when we get it delivered, it still arrives warm and crunchy. The chicken has a crunchy and flavorful batter and the chicken is tender on the inside. My little ones enjoy it so that is also a bonus. The knockdown on the score is everything else on their menu that we've tried. My husband has tried their bulgogi rice bowl and he did not enjoy it. His words, it's "basic." We've also ordered their kimchi fried rice and honestly I don't recall any chicken in it, it was mainly kimchi and rice. I've also made kimchi fried rice at home before and it's not hard so if I am going to pay for it, I'd like for it to be memorable. This was not. We also ordered their so ddeok so ddeok and the rice cake was undercooked, so it was hard and inedible. I would recommend sticking to their wings and if you want to venture out to the rest of their menu, add it as a supplement vs. the actual meal so you can at least be confident that something will be good. read more

Looking for a local Korean fried chicken place and I think we found it. The chicken was crunchy and juicy! Made to order so hot and not overly battered. But the way they dressed the wings with the sauce was excellent, every nook and cranny had sauce! We tried the galbi and it was sweet with a hint of smoke. I got the side of pickled radish because I love it! We tried the cheesling fries, wasn't sure I would care for my fries to be dusted with cheese but the were tasty! They came with a drizzle of their special sauce and a sprinkle of scallions. I would say it's like eating Cheeto fries! I actually liked them too. Ordered a pick up since it was easier for me and the kids to just eat somewhere to avoid them running around. This location just opened a few weeks ago and it's pretty new still. I remember when I was in NYC and I visited this spot in K-town- Love it . Went to the one in Boston - enjoyed it. I was excited to see one in my neighborhood and couldn't wait to try it. Yesterday I went in and the service was not there- I sat down the server took my order and everything was fine- waited about 30 minutes for my food to see half of my order came out. I order Bulgogi Rice bowl and small SPicy origianl chicken ( 8 pieces). The RIce bowl came out but not the chicken. Another guest came in and he order 16 pieces of chicken- Tell me why his chicken came out less then 10 minutes after ordering and I was still waiting for mine? At that point I lost my appetite. I saw the server cleaning tables and the food runner coming out with other guest foods. Still my ticket order wasn't complete. I immediately asked for the ticket and didnt' touch the food. The Server said wait a minute - left to the kitchen to than return with a basket of room temp fried chicken- said because I wanted it spicy it takes about 20 minutes longer- To which I said if that was the case then it should have been the first thing to have been cooked and not the last What happen? Was it forgotten and it wasn't rung in. By the look on her face I knew it was the later.... I informed her that I'm a professional chef so I know how the kitchen works- either it was forgotten in the window or it was rung is later. She apologized and said "My bad. Do you want to take it home?" Now I am thinking if I wanted take out I would have just ordered take out. I told her No thank you. I'll pay for it and just leave. and that I did. The only reason I paid for the meal because it wasn't the kitchens fault. Cooks will put out only what is presented to them. Front of the house team failed on their end. Wouldn't not come back to this spot ever. I mean at least in the other places they go by numbers - Oh yeah and that another thing - In the BBQ Chicken in NY and in Boston guest receive their complete ticket and not one item at a time. Which again clearly proved that she either forgotten to add my chicken order in or it was left in the window. Lastly, the army stew was a huge disappointment, typically army stew comes in a big pot with lots of ingredients. Here, it's in a small sized pot, probably 1 pack instant noodles.
