The mango sago drink was so good and refreshing! The mango pieces inside the drink were a lovely addition. The boneless chicken was also delicious! Fried to a perfect crisp, the chicken was tender and juicy! The sauces come on the side so you can dip or pour the sauce over the chicken. They also provided us with plastic gloves to eat our chicken by hand, that was a fun experience. I did not expect a boba restaurant to have amazing fried chicken, so I will def be coming back again for it. The red bean egg puffs were good but I wish they had more red bean inside the puffs. Parking was fine on a Sunday evening, street/meter parking is free. There are a few tables inside but limited.
Tsaocaa is my go-to for bubble tea in Malden because they have great variety and quality flavors. The workers are super efficient and consistent. I didn't get it this time, but I really love their fries chicken too. The sauce isn't my favorite, but the chicken is tender, crispy, flavorful, and a great price for the amount. I ordered the purple sweet potato bubble milk, mango pomelo, and oolong milk tea. The purple sweet potato is my and my partner's favorites. It's the perfect ratio of potato paste to milk. Mango pomelo is another of my favorites, but I don't get it as often now because it's more expensive. Super refreshing and strong mango flavor. The oolong was also great
They updated the dirty furnitures and added new items - egg tarts and caneles. The new staff are a lot friendlier! Tried the original and chocolate egg tarts and I preferred the original due to sweetness level. It tasted like a cross over between HK egg tart and pasteis de nata. Crispy and airy tart shell with creamy eggy filling. Yum! I can eat half a dozen of those! The pistachio looks promising so I will try that next. The claw machines are gone too, thankfully because the shop looks bigger and brighter without them.
Staff was quickly working through a long line of customers. Unfortunately the bubble tea (Taro milk tea) was flavorless. Wish I could say I enjoyed my drink.
Excellent boba milk tea store (part of a chain) with milk and fruit tea beverages, slushies, smoothies, etc., and also food/snack options like egg waffles and what not. They have an amazing fruit tea that uses real fruit! Excellent service and convenient kiosk where you can order items. Cool ambiance and interior dining atmosphere as well - highly recommended if you are in Malden!
I usually come in the afternoon and off hours, so my review may be different than others who have had bad experiences with wait time. But their food and drinks have been on par. First, I'd suggest calling and ordering ahead for their fried chicken since it takes at least 20 minutes to make. I'd probably do that for anything off their food menu since because they do get backed up with drink orders. Average wait time for me for drinks has been 5-10 minutes, 15-20 minutes for food. This place is a hidden gem for fried chicken! I love their drumsticks which has one of the crispiest skins in town and it's just amazing with their sauces. I like their special spicy sauce and the soy garlic. As for drinks, my favorite is the grapefruit lime mojito with 50% sugar and less ice. It's so pretty and refreshing! Perfect with the fried chicken. I finally tried the mango grapefruit sago drink (50% less sugar and less ice) and loved it! It compares to the viral mango tea from Hey Tea (minus the hour wait). Also, their red bean egg waffles are interesting. Instead of tasting cakey, they tasted like tiny mochi balls. It was also not too sweet which was nice. Only thing was, can't really taste the red bean. Overall, good alternative tea place in Malden. They have much more variety on the menu than the other tea places.
We ordered this as a mid-day pick me up. I ordered the Jasmine Green Milk tea which was really tasty. Good combo of milk and tea. The boba was good! We also ordered the fried chicken which we heard was really tasty and indeed it is. The chicken came with this amazing sweet and spicy dipping sauce. We ordered takeout via UberEats but would definitely be back. The interior was nice!
If you're a slushie boba fan then this is the place for you! They had so many smoothie drink options from guava, dragon fruit to lychee and even a durian mango one. The colors of the drinks were also really vibrant and pretty, and you can tell that they use real fruit since they have fresh fruits just sitting on the shelves on the side. You can order using their kiosk, and the drinks come out pretty fast. We also got one of the bubble waffles and it was pretty standard.
This place is a good alternative or selection of all the other bubble tea places in Malden. There's a bunch of drink selection too! And there's a new mini claw machine they added which is nice.
Been coming here for 2 years and I must say, the consistency is without fail. I typically order the same drink (yogurt slush) that is prepared with your choice of mango, strawberry or blueberry. The staff are always friendly and you can always find local highschool or college kids sitting around. Although not the cleanest establishment, the drinks are consistent to where I always find myself coming back for more.

Everything was great except the food. I was quite disappointed by how tasteless their egg waffles are. I tried the matcha and the cocoa and I thought I had COVID, no flavor! The egg tarts were much better. The service was excellent and their to go bags are legendary. read more

I ordered eight cups of milk tea today... only one was specified as sugar-free; the others were all supposed to have sugar. But every single drink I received was sugar-free! For someone used to having sugar, how am I supposed to drink this?! read more

Best lychee Mojito I've ever had! The cafe is beautifully decorated, super classy with marble design. The lychee mojito is my go to drink, it has the perfect balance of carbonation and lychee juice. I also enjoy the mint inside because thats what makes this drink so refreshing! I need to come back and try the snacks here! read more

Popped in here after eating dinner. My friend ordered a fruit tea while I got the mango purée milk tea. Her tea came with a variety of fruits including grapefruit, blueberries, oranges, passion fruit, and more. It was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. My drink was good but can be a little heavy for those that don't like milk based drinks. The container used had a great seal and allowed me to thoroughly mix the purée with the milk. Overall good experience and would like to come back to try more items from their menu especially their chicken which looked phenomenal. read more
Cute little place just opened in Malden center. This is for drinks only but their chicken did smell good. It seemed like a great snack place to hang out. The drinks were not overly sweet but plenty of fresh fruits in them. Not much tea flavors but if you like the fruity drinks, this works. I also think their price is pretty steep. Comes out to be almost $7 with a topping. Got the lime and grapefruit jelly in my drink that I really like! Something different from the other bbt places I did enjoy the lychee green tea with milk foam and the lychee mojito. read more

Food: - Purple Potato Milk Tea (30% sugar, oat milk): This was sooooo good. I had a sudden milk tea craving haha, so this definitely satisfied it. It was super refreshing, perfectly sweetened, and the sweet potato was so good as well. - Matcha Egg Waffle: I wanted to try an egg waffle because I saw the girl next to me eating one (and it looked GOOD lol), and it was SO satisfying! The dough was PERFECT, and I could definitely taste the matcha flavor. So yummy, it had been YEARS since I had an egg waffle as well. Service: Really fast for the tea, and also nice workers! Ambiance: Store is in a cute area of Malden with lots of other Asian/boba stores, there is seating inside, you can make yourself comfortable with friends. What a fun lil cheat day hehe. read more

I was met with verbal harassment from the store manager, Felix (although I'm not entirely sure of the spelling of his name). I have attached an image from the incident with Felix in it. The incident by Felix marked the worst customer service I've ever endured. This is my fourth visit at Tasaocaa. The tea I ordered didn't taste the same as when I had it the last three times. When I politely asked for a refund, Felix's behavior was beyond appalling. He used inappropriate language, made demeaning facial expressions, and deliberately ignored my presence, focusing on other tasks. Felix also accused me of only coming to use the bathroom and made derogatory remarks about 'people like me.' After witnessing this public confrontation with Felix, several other customers also left the store, clearly disturbed by his demeanor. The 2 other employees also were visibly intimidated by the Felix's behavior. While the establishment itself is very clean, Felix's attitude and actions speak volumes about the management here. I'm disappointed in how he is treating his customers. read more
One of the better and preferred boba places in the area but also one of the more expensive places for boba. The drinks are decent with a large variety to choose from between fruity to milk drinks. My go to is their iced strawberry green tea with pearls. Their grapefruit and peach green tea is a favorite as well! Their drinks tend to run sweet so I recommended choose 30% or 50% as your sweetness. Bumping it down to a 3 star as I notice their prices are just so high for what is it. read more
Okay, I have been back here approximately five more times now. I think I have it figured out and this is why I am changing my rating to 5 stars. If you use the Chowbus app to order, yes, you will pay about 25% more than if you ordered and wait in store. Now you need to make up your mind whether waiting in store for a good half hour to one hour of your life is worth the extra 25% cost. If you accept the ordering online, though it says your food will be ready by X time, make it X+10 minutes. Now you can figure out when to start driving to pick up your order. If you live within walking distance then I envy you. My initial reaction to the Korean fried chicken was the batter is way too thick. But now that I have had it five more times, I have to say, it's definitely grown on me. It's super crunchy. I recommend the soy garlic flavor and the honey garlic flavor. Also, the hot & spicy version is not spicy at all since my kids eats it with no problem. The secret spicy is like a sweet spicy lol. My chicken, I meant children, are lazy so they always ask which is the chicken without the bones. I recommend the boneless chicken for the kids and bone for the adults. I don't recommend their chicken and fries combo since their fries are just okay. Do a drink and chicken and bubble waffle instead. That's plenty of calories but who is really counting anyways. I was not initially impressed by the drinks but I have now also had it figured out and found some drinks that I really enjoy that is not typical of the ones I would normally order at other boba tea places nearby. I recommend the Lychee mojito with 100 percent sugar. You can lesson as you go but try 100 percent for your first. The mojito drinks goes great with the chicken due to the sparkling soda. If you're not there for their chicken and just want a sweet drink with a plenty of texture that will blow your mind, I recommend the lychee green tea with crystal pearl and milk foam. My god, typing the drink alone is exhausting but just imagining all the things happening in that drink just by its name. I also recommend their fruit yogurt slush and I have tried almost everyone but the blueberry flavor. This is like a tart yogurt drink with a fruit jam mixture at the bottom. You can mix it up prior to drinking. Amazing! My tip is to skip the boba drinks you are used to like matcha, brown sugar, Tati etc. and instead go for the mojito and yogurt drinks here instead. You may find that boba teas are so boring once you tried these other options that Tsaocaa offers. I highly recommend the red bean bubble waffle unless you are not a fan of red bean paste. If you are a fan of red bean paste, which I am, this thing is heavenly and addicting. I haven't tried the other flavors and I just don't think I will either. I have found my favorite. Overall, if you are not using the app, expect a long long wait for your chicken. About 25 minutes or longer. You should add the amount of time standing waiting in line for your order to be taken as well. If it was me, I am going with the app and online ordering all the way. read more

Lovee the drinks here, as long as you get the right stuff. I will say the milk foam though has a cheesecake-like taste to it so if that flavor is not your thing Id skip it. (I dont think it tastes good with the fruit teas so make sure to omit it if you get something fruity) My favorites so far would have to be the brown sugar milk tea, the grapefruit green tea, and the blueberry green tea. All cold, but the hot peach oolong and the rose is also delicious. I usually do a sweetness level of 70% personally and it's perfect for me. I did try the egg puffs, they are crispier than the ones ive had but still good. I will update this in the future once I get to try some chicken and other drinks, the menu is complex with many options so plenty to try. read more
We got a grapefruit drink from here and it was super good! It was sweet with some sourness and the grapefruit jelly was an amazing topping!! The ingredients seemed very fresh and the drink was refreshing. I'm excited to try the other options they have. The drinks are on the pricier side but the taste is definitely super good. The store itself is also super aesthetic, perfect for an Instagram photo! read more
I went to this place because I was hungry and was craving boba as well. I ordered the red bean egg puff waffle and the dragonfruit tea with crystal boba and milk foam. The egg puff waffle came out at a normal time, and it was so good! However the drink took a while. They basically skipped my drink in the line of numbers (I was 50, they went from 49 to 51 and kept going up). I eventually asked if my drink was going to be coming out soon and turns out they never started it but skipped over it I guess/-: kinda disappointing for a first impression read more

one of the better boba places in malden. (def better than gongcha, not sure if that's a hot take around here) location/parking: located off one of the busy roads in malden, but can't say for parking since I took the bus here. There's street parking but I'm quite sure u gotta pay. price: cheese foam no topping was ~$6. The egg puffs were ~$5.50. atmosphere: cute fun place to chat with friends. there's around 5 tables scattered around the area so it could get busy at night. glad they close at 10pm. food: I love cheese foam and this one was actually p good. it was nicely salted and the consistency was kinda thick. the drink was hella sweet tho even at 50%. my friend got 30% and oddly his tasted even sweeter than mine lol. the egg puffs weren't the best, they weren't crispy enough and they didn't give much. last remarks: def adjust the sweetness. next time I might just get 0% sweet even tho at other places I get 50-80% sweet. egg puffs are meh. read more
Right when we walked in it felt like I just entered a glamorous studio with the fancy floor tiles. The chairs and benches they had were so comfortable to sit on. There were so many tempting options. I loved the grapefruit green tea that I got. It tasted so fresh and not too sweet. The passion fruit tea was surprisingly not sour like other boba shops. The ovaltine drink was soooo good, tasted smooth and chocolatey, like my childhood. The mango slush was most likely made with fresh fruit as it wasn't as sweet as most places that use mango syrup with pulp. The guava Yakult drink was really good too even though it was only 30% sugar. Omg the egg waffles were crispy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside. They tasted great on their own, but adding ice cream would've been the cherry on top. And I really want to give credit to the workers there today that handled this Karen customer as she asked for a drink replacement for the taro drink her daughter (?) didn't like because it tasted grainy like she was drinking sand. Wish I could add the rolling eyes emoji here. The employee explained to her that it's supposed to have that texture because they use fresh taro and that is the texture of taro. She then proceeded to ask them to make a replacement drink and he explained that they can give her a discount if she buys another drink. She had the audacity to say "oh really? This the first I've heard of that. The other boba places usually do it." Then proceeded to go back to her daughter (?) and muttered under her breath "I'll be making sure to leave a review " Like hell you will lady. Clearly, she doesn't know quality of ingredients when she sees it. Go ahead and drink the powdered taro milk tea elsewhere if you can't appreciate fresh ingredients. Anyways, aside from that very embarrassing encounter with that customer, my experience with my first time at Tsaocaa is very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend anyone to come here for the best and most refreshing fruit drinks. I'm definitely coming back when I'm around Malden. Also, I didn't get to try it, but they also sell fried chicken here! Which that lady's daughter (?) was happily enjoying at the table as her Karen mom(?) made a scene at the register. So embarrassing. So if you see a 1 star review, it's probably from her. :P read more
There's a lot of competition around Malden for boba shops, however the one thing that makes Tsaocaa stand out is their food selection! The first location in the Northshore that I am aware of that makes Korean Fried Chicken! Pro: They have a large drink selection, I tried their matcha, brown sugar milk tea, iced mango, and honestly I would come back and try more off the menu. Their fried chicken is pretty delicious for the price and flavor and being the only place in the Northshore, it saves me a 20-30 minute drive into Boston. The workers were really fast and kind, when an order came out if they remember who you were they would bring it to your table. Con: If you want their fried chicken be aware that it does take 15-20 minutes for them to make it. Tip: There's a lot of seating inside as well and there's a parking lot or you can find street parking. read more
