While looking for a late night dessert, I came by OneZo. They open pretty late so that's good for people like me who eat late dinners. The store itself is pretty small but the menu is plentiful. They have their specialty drinks to milk teas and fruit teas so there was a lot of options. Personally was feeling their uji matcha latte but ended up being pretty disappointed. The matcha was not whisked properly and the drink way tasted powdery. I also ordered macarons! The box and presentation was great but the macarons didn't taste anything special either. They didn't have much texture and felt like they didn't portray the flavors they were trying to target. Not sure if they even make it in house. Maybe I'll give it another shot and order something off their milk tea menu. Overall, a decent boba spot if you're looking for something quick and simple.

I am a boba lover, and have to say that this is some of the best boba I've had in the area! We tried the crème brulee uji matcha (cold, 30% sugar, light ice, crystal boba) and it had a strong matcha flavor with a sweet creamy taste, and wasn't too sweet. Also tried the strawberry mochi milk (with brown sugar boba) and it also had a strong strawberry flavor with complementary sweetness. Overall super yummy and the drinks came out fast as well.

2.5/5 overall. Coconut milk flavor was great and sweet, and the sweet potato versus taro balls were distinct and had great texture. BUT the portions of the toppings were really sad. I got 6 total balls and a piece of herbal jelly that is the size of an eraser. Red bean was maybe at two tablespoons, and there was a few pieces of boba. It's like buying an entree that practically only came with sauce. That portion size isn't worth the $11 plus tax and delivery.

$5+ for bubble tea that barely tastes like tea and more milk. The sesame boba is good though! Only option to order is via Chowbus terminal in the store or via app. Great for those who don't want to interact with others but annoying because you need to create an account making the process way longer than it needs to be.

Some of the best boba I've had in Boston. I had a large Oreo Milk Tea w/ Brown Sugar Boba. It was outstanding. The inside setup is nice with a few tables to sit at. Will definitely get boba here again when I'm in Boston.

So glad I got a chance to try this spot in Porter Square a few weeks ago. They make their boba in house and it was delicious! Soft and chewy but not mushy at all. The milk tea drink was also tasty as well! Highly recommend!

I've been eyeing this location for a while and was delighted to see a soft opening sign today! They started their soft opening two days ago, and expect to do their grand opening in the next couple of weeks. The staff are really friendly and the shop is very clean and elegant. Ordering is done through a touchscreen kiosk or through your phone (via Chowbus). Currently they are offering a variety of drinks as well as souffle pancakes. I was really excited to see the souffle pancakes as I haven't had them in years. We ordered the fruit tea and the brown sugar boba souffle pancake for indoors dining (there were two small tables and 3 chairs). We got the fruit tea ($6.75) at 70% sugar and probably should have gotten it at 50%. It has both fruit and tea flavor but not many edible fruits (just a slice of orange, lemon, and lime). The first drink we got had a lot of concentrate settled at the bottom but they made us another one which I think they mixed better. It was very nice of them as we didn't even mention anything about the first drink. I'm looking forward to trying more of their drinks. As it stands, I probably would rather have Yifang or Little Bake for the flavor of the fruit tea and the fruit toppings, but there are tons of other drinks that I have yet to try, including many blended beverages and milk tea drinks. The brown sugar boba souffle pancake ($10.75) took a while which was expected (the last souffle pancake place I went to told customers to expect a 20 minute wait, and this one took about 30 minutes). It came with 3 fluffy pancakes and a creamy sauce and brown sugar boba in a cute globe shaped container. I would highly recommend eating it fresh since it tastes better warm. I really wanted to love this, but unfortunately the inside of the pancake was quite heterogeneous, with large patches of just egg white. I imagine this is from incomplete incorporation of the egg whites into the rest of the batter, probably because they were trying to avoid deflating the egg whites. So, I think the execution could have definitely been better on the pancakes, but I'm sure that will improve with time. The sauce and the boba were great. Overall I'm really happy to see a new boba place in the Porter area, and I can definitely see myself becoming becoming a semi-frequent customer once I figure out my go-to order. Really friendly staff and cute place!

My bf and I got the summer special mango pomelo drink. It was very yummy, a refreshing summer drink. Fresh mango chunks and pomelo on the bottom with white pearl. The base was mango purée and a milky foam at the top.

Ordered an oreo boba which is basically just their milk tea with oreos. Decent spot especially for mass.

I ordered the purple yam latte with coconut jelly ($7). The staff was friendly, service was fast, and the shop was spacious and clean. However, the drink was underwhelming. There wasn't much of a purple yam taste, and it overall just tasted like slightly sweet milk. I did appreciate that this place was reasonably priced and offered lactaid milk.

This is a new opening in the neighborhood and I am so glad that I gave it a try. I always test a new Boba shop with the basic Boba milk Tea (although they call it bubble here). I ordered Oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba. I love how they made their milk tea from fresh tea and real milk, not some synthetic powder bullshit like SOME milk tea shops in Boston(not gonna name names ). The Boba here are handmade everyday, which makes them soft and chewy. My Friend had the Oreo milk tea with sesame Boba. The sesame Boba were so interesting to chew and they taste just like brown sugar Boba but with sesame fillings. Another friend of mine ordered strawberries smoothies. The cup was full of fresh strawberries and the cheese foam was just so GOOOOD. They have a big menu. I will definitely come back the try the others out.

Average boba for pretty expensive price - while a good texture, the brown sugar boba were pretty bland, which made for an odd experience when paired with the very sweet brown sugar boba latte drink (and I had gotten it 50% sweet already!). The medium size was smaller than I expected as well. Was $9 (!!!) for one medium drink with topping and cheese foam. I'll probably still come back since this is the closest walkable boba place to my apartment but I would look elsewhere for your boba fix.

I ordered the drinks in person earlier. I ordered a LARGE strawberry green tea, just as they sticker shows. But what I got was a medium size. I didn't realize it until I got home. For those who go here, make sure you double-check your drinks.

After they hired new employees, it tasted so bad

Been wanting to give this place a try for a month after seeing gorgeous pictures of their pastries…read moreon instagram lately. I stopped by on a Sunday early morning right after they had opened and tried several items on display including a plain croissant, a pear danish, blueberry danish, and a valentine raspberry special bowtie. While the pastries looked pretty for instagram, they all needed a LOT more work. Everything here left me sad. There were no flakes, no crumble, and no crisp to the pastries (just soft, limp, sadness). The danishes here are also not cheap, with the blueberry danish being $8. According to the staff, all the danishes had come out fresh out of the oven JUST 30 minutes ago. Can only imagine how much more disappointing the pastries would've been for the people that came in after me. Save yourself a trip here and go to Michette, Lakon, Colette, Cremux Patisserie, SALT, or Little L instead if you're looking for a solid danish or croissant. Will not be back.

Good crunch to the bite, sending flaky shrapnel everywhere, but yielding to the tender center. Somewhat buttery. Chocolate croissant: Not as gigantic, but a steal at under $5. Not warm but very fresh, very flaky and delicate, cracking more intensely in the bite with even more shrapnel. Underneath, a very light and fluffy feel, along with a very buttery taste. Not greasy at all; just great flavor, and that's not even counting the dark chocolate, which was understated but effective. Pain au Raisin: Again flaky, but a bit (only a bit) on the dry side, even with the noticeably custardy notes. Good flavor to the dough. Minimal glaze if any. A rung or two lower on the impressiveness scale than the almond and chocolate croissants, but still solid. Blueberry Danish: Nice pastry, many layers, light, crisp and delicate, while still being soft and buttery. Good flavor to the dough and faintly glazed. Surprisingly, the crispness lasted well into the early evening, when tried as a take-home item. Lots of blueberries, fresh and not too fussed with, along with a bit of blueberry compote. No gimmicks, no bombast, just good stuff. Looking forward to a quick return. On my mental shopping list to encompass a few visits: chocolate almond croissant, chocolate chip cookie dough croissant (aka "cookie" and the only gimmicky item I saw), apricot danish, pear danish, pain suisse, and babka.

I fell in love with the chopped not-liver ($13), which is a delicious eggplant spread that doesn't taste like eggplant but has a great savory flavor with a slight wine aroma. The pita bread that came with it was so warm, pillowy, and chewy. This dish was just perfection. There's an eggplant dip (Oren's eggplant) in the Bay that I have been craving, and now I have something in Cambridge that is just as good if not better. The haus smoked whitefish ($12) was also quite good. It had a lot of fish but wasn't too fishy, had good flavor and came with crunchy crackers. The fish and chips ($24) was tasty as well -- the chips are really crunchy and the fish was flaky and crunchy, and the sauce was interesting and spicy. Lastly, we got the halva ice cream sundae ($12), which was pretty decent with a lot of crunchy bits. I'm not a big fan of nutty flavors or milky ice cream, so I'm not sure if I'd get it again. There is a 20% gratuity automatically applied (we had 2 people, so I don't think it's due to party size). Service was great -- people kept checking on us and refilling our water. In conclusion, the eggplant chopped not-liver was amazing and it's everything I've been looking for. I'm excited to try more of their offerings.
