    Cupcake, Boston Creme Pie, Cannoli
    Terra B.

Cupcake was yummy, Boston Creme Pie was not good to me, Chocolate Chip Cannoli was a game changer. Absolutely amazing, no complaints. The inside wasn't busy, lots of options to choose from and an entire wall of cannoli options to select from. Will return!

Incredible cannoli place! They have a wide variety of filling options to choose from, as well as pastry shells in vanilla and chocolate covered. I ordered the Nutella cannoli and it was delicious! First of all, they make giant cannolis that are very filling so you only need to order one. The pastry shell is baked crispy but doesn't messily crumble when you take a bite, plus has a ton of flavor. Then the filling is delicious, stealing the show with a creamy and sugary taste that fills your sweet tooth. I didn't think the Nutella cream tasted overly like Nutella, more like chocolate cream cheese with a hint of hazelnut, but was still delicious. They even add powder sugar sprinkled on top. Definitely a go-to stop in Boston!

    Pistachio Cannoli and Tiramisu

Mike's is one of the representative chain pastries in the Boston area. However, its overwhelming sweetness was totally a disaster to my Chinese/ Cantonese appetite. Pistachio Cannoli: One of the signature products. To be frank, this cannoli was well baked, with incredibly crunchy dough shell which easily fell apart under a bite, and brimming thick ricotta cheese with a slight hint of lemon or orange zest's citrusy tanginess and fragrance. However, the cheese was ridiculously cloyingly sickly SWEET I had never tasted before, so that I could only persist to half of one. Maybe it suits American taste buds more. Tiramisu: I saw recommendations on the China's food reviewing platform Dazhong Dianping大众点评, but this piece of cake had actually nothing to do with the authentic Italian Tiramisu. As was shown in cannoli, EVERYTHING inside was sweetened, while I couldn't taste any hint of cocoa's bitterness or Rum's fragrance. As a dessert lover, I fell into deep depression and confusion. The only ingredient slightly better was the caramel cream on top, providing more layers of flavor.

This is primarily a bakery for take-out. I had heard that the bakery is known for its cannoli. There were cakes and cookies displayed but no cannolis. After we placed the order for the cannoli, the cannoli shell is filled in the kitchen and then packed. They are just enormous, so be prepared. We got the amaretto and a pistachio cannoli. We liked the amaretto cannoli more and usually my preference would be pistachio. My personal preference is for a regular size cannoli. The two cannoli came to $15! So pretty pricey imo.

As my first time to Boston, stopping at Mike's pastry was a have to. The line went pretty quickly, and the employees were very fast and efficient at getting everyone their order. They had a large selection with many different flavor, choices and combinations. I have to say my expectations were quite high, but I wasn't as impressed as I was expecting to be. For me, it was too much filling and too sweet. But my friends absolutely loved theirs so maybe a different flavor for me would be the trick. Overall, I would still go back again and it's absolutely worth a stop! Parking would have definitely been difficult however I walked from my hotel so it wasn't too difficult for me. Parking in Boston is just difficult in general so that's to be expected. But even if you try to park it's still worth it.

Came in here very last minute. They were packing up, so glad I got to grab a cannoli. You can tell it was fresh. Great to grab and pickup, not really a place I'd sit in though.

I'd never been to this location before. I've only been to the one in the North End previously. Service was fast and lovely. There was only one other customer in the entire store. We got lobster tail, fudge brownie, a tiramisu slice, and strawberry cheesecake. The lobster tail were not as crisp as I might have hoped but the tiramisu and the strawberry cheesecake were absolutely on point. Parking was also ridiculously easy. We got a spot right across the street and we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. We will definitely be returning to this location

This was my first time trying a cannoli, and maybe I just picked the wrong flavor, but I didn't enjoy it at all. I always see a line at Mike's Pastry, so when I finally caught it empty, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet for me and nothing about it really stood out. I'd pick Beard Papa's over this any day.

Plain Cannoli + Boston Cream Puff

The cannoli is SO good omg. The cream puff is on the heavier side with all of the fluffy whipped cream. But I can talk about the cannoli for ages & tell you everything I love about it! The staff were also so nice and helped make sure that the baked goods wouldn't get destroyed on the way to NYC. Thank you!

Anytime I'm in the city I make sure to stop by here. The best cannoli's around. A wild selection of other desserts as well. If there's a line it always moves fast.

Always a great cannoli. I hadn't been to the Harvard sq location and I am very pleased with it. It has a more contemporary feel than the north end location, and slightly more upscale than their north station hub location. The quality of the cannoli are fantastic and the pistachio is amazing. We split one between the two of us and really enjoyed it, they're large and filling. Service was great. There were two workers in the shop and we were the only ones in there. No seats, super fast service, place was very clean. Very enjoyable experience!

The pistachio cannoli was pretty good but kind of expensive. I thought the outside was crispy and the inside wasn't too sweet. I didn't like the boston cream donut as much. I thought the dough for it was a bit dry. There isn't any seating inside but there is a standing area to eat your pastry. The workers aren't that nice but they're not mean either.

It was my first time trying a cannoli! I had heard about Mike's from a few friends and decided to try it. I got the chocolate chip and Oreo ones and they were good but not sure if I'd go back again.

The cupcakes tasted amazing, too! The cake part wasn't super-moist, so it held its shape and tasted great, but the frosting was the real star. The frosting on the lemon cupcake was intensely lemony, and the chocolate frosting was rich and smooth. I and the other non-vegans at the party couldn't tell that they were vegan, and our host was delighted to know that there is a bakery nearby that caters to her needs. I'll definitely be coming back to try the regular cupcakes soon!

In response to Shironda W's (owner of Cupcake Therapy) she needs to take responsibility & update her forms or state the delivery policy under "Terms" on website. I was not aware (not stated on the website) the driver is not allowed to leave delivery with "random people" @ any hospital. When I instructed delivery be left with a specific floor (the cupcakes were for everyone working on that floor), I should have been contacted prior to delivery if a specific name of someone to accept delivery was required (I was not contacted). These cupcakes were not for a patient (certainly would be a very hungry patient) but for the nursing/administrative staff. Number listed on form was general number for Beth Israel Deaconess, yes, but again, if driver asked where Stoneman 5 was there would not be a problem. Again, read the information prior to delivery so driver can have any questions clarified & this problem could have been a non-issue & delivery could have been made on date & time it was promised. Clearly not the fault of the purchaser that there is a flaw in the design/content of the on-line order form. Having my contact number listed only under the billing that driver does not have, not my fault. Very easy to blame the customer (who will NEVER be a repeat customer) instead of taking responsibility for your mistake. Regarding not receiving a voice mail from me. I called when I saw an email (again no phone call) stating deliver was not made. Had you took the time to call me right after notified delivery could not be initiated, perhaps you would have done the right thing and returned that day with cupcakes while they were fresh. I called during business hours in hopes of speaking to a human being but no answer so left a VM. Very easy to put blame on customer & not take responsibility. Certainly makes me appreciate companies that do right when an issues arises. Do better for the next person!!!!!!

I bought the banana cream for a work event and a few minis to take home for me and my hubby. The banana cream was good-admittedly, it was more on the sweeter side than I expected. I really enjoyed the crust - it wasn't too buttery and cooked perfectly. It was def a hit. My hubby and I enjoyed sampling the blueberry, apple, and cherry crumble. Of the three, the apple was my favorite which actually surprised me. The blueberry was OK, not as sweet as I would have liked - opposite of the banana cream. And the cherry was perfectly tart-I really appreciated the crumble. All in all, I will def be back. Can't wait to follow their social media to see what the monthly specials are.
