We ordered their recommendations of Topsilog plate, breakfast plate, and we read that the Tacos empanadas was good so we ordered that as well. Drinks: Ube banana matcha, Panda Latte and Mango juice. My kids enjoyed it all. From the bakery we got turnover, Ube crinkles, matcha crinkles, ube canoli. All in all it was tasty, just like another review said it tends towards the sweet side. My friends and I had visited here for Boston Asian Restaurant Week, so they had a special menu that contained dishes they normally wouldn't have, and I enjoyed every one of them. My friends decided to drive quite a bit to get here, so I knew the experience would be a pleasant one. The prime rib tapsilog was excellent, with the egg perfectly fried to release the yolk, the garlic rice containing flavorful garlic bits at the top to provide flavor, and the beef having the right amount of tenderness and flavor. I also loved the ube affogato because the combination of espresso and ube ice cream made it a heavenly experience, as I could taste multiple flavors within one "drink" if that makes sense. The salad was pretty standard, with some raw vegetables and vinaigrette. Another factor worth pointing out is that the establishment had a fire playlist, containing lots of old school hip hop and R&B music, and I found myself dancing to it and singing to it the whole time I was there! While I am not sure when I'd be able to return here again, I enjoyed everything I had when I was there and would definitely recommend it to all that are around the Boston area! read more

I wish the Boston area had more Filipino options so when we were in town and were lucky to discover this spot we were very happy. This cute Philippino restaurant is a little out of the way, but it makes up for warmth and variety. There was so much to choose from that I had a little decision paralysis. There are so many different types of drinks, desserts, and warm entrees, but fortunately the workers are very helpful. I really enjoyed the mango-mansi drink (mango and calamansi), which was very refreshing, sweet and a little tart. I also really like the ube crinkle cookies, they had a good chewy texture and weren't too sweet. The matcha one was good but not as chewy. The ube dinner rolls were great too, but I didn't realize they had cheese on the inside. They heat it up for you too, but just FYI, it probably needs to be heated up for longer because of the cheese. I like the beef plate as well, and my friend enjoyed the noodle and chicken dish. Overall would recommend this cute little restaurant! I'm obsessed with how adorable and tasty the treats at Bits and Bites Bakery are! Located in Saugus, Bits and Bites is an Asian-owned Filipino bakery with tasty desserts and authentic Filipino food/meals. There is plenty of street parking nearby, although there is no lot, the street parking is quite convenient. The actual bakery itself is quite cozy, there are 3-4 tables if you do decide to eat at the cafe. When I visited, my mom and I were immediately greeted with terrific & friendly customer service! I forgot his name, but he was so wonderful and gave some recommendations. We ended up getting a matcha crinkle cookie, an ube crinkle cookie, an ube cannoli, and pandan and ube lattes. My favorite dessert was the matcha crinkle cookie! All the desserts weren't too sweet (perfect for me!). The matcha crinkle cookie stood out to me though since there was a bit of a chewy mochi texture in the middle. The matcha was strong too, which I enjoyed. Everything was delicious though! I loved the Pandan latte as well, there was a strong Pandan flavor and it wasn't masked by the coffee. Overall, Bits & Bites is a must-try if you're in the area. Whenever I'm up on the North Shore, I try to make it to Bits & Bites to grab some of their desserts. Next time, I'd love to get their food! read more

I like how in Boston (or the surrounding areas) that a place like this exists because it's good to have representation of Filipino food in a place without many Filipinos. The menu was super fun and the people were very nice. I got the pork adobo puffed pastry and it was quite dry inside. I took everything to go and heated it up but even then I don't think it should be that dry. The pork sisig with garlic rice was good. I've never had pork sisig before so I won't pretend to be an expert. It reminded me of a chicken salad because the outside was coated in mayo. I enjoyed eating it but wished the rice had more of a garlic flavor. I also feel like everything was a bit too expensive for what is given. The service size is a bit smaller for this meal. Despite that, I will be back because I hope a place like this succeeds and there are a lot of other menu items to try. read more

The last time I came here it was unbearably busy and crowded so I panicked and got a caramel macchiato (my typical latte order from Starbucks). Today I was brave and got an ube latte and wowwww this will be my new drink going forward. It's a beautiful purple color and the taste is not overly sweet, just right. There are healthy breakfast items on the menu and an array of beautiful baked goods available for purchase and everything is very reasonably priced considering how artful it looks. The cafe is small with small tables but good news: they're expanding with the space next door. Looking forward to coming here more. read more

The owner is very friendly and you can tell she loves what she does! My favorite items were the calamansi juices, ube tres leches, and ube pan de sal (filled). The tosilog was sweeter than I was used to but still a great plate! The espresso is not very bold in the pandan latte and we wished the flavor of the pandan came through more. First of all, kudos to the place as it is new and nice and clean. Also, the staff are nice and hard working. The service was good.Congratulations on that! I believe they recently acquired the space adjacent to them so now there's a lot of room. However, the space between the door and where the order is taken and where the baked goods are, is narrow and awkward. As soon as you enter the door, there's not enough space specially if there's already a few people in line. Also, that door is the same door being used for people to go out after they're done eating if they choose to dine in. It just gets so crowded in that one space so easily. Hope they can do something about it so there's a better flow. With food, I ordered Tapsilog. It is an entree and dessert in one. Beef TAPA is not supposed to be that sweet! I was pretty disappointed. I understand Tocino can be sweet or Longganisa, sure, but Tapa, I don't think so! But it's ok, I'll be going home in the Philippines soon and will eat the authentic Tapa that I'm used to, growing up. Also, is the "empanada" birria style a reinvention of the real empanada? Because if it is, well I'm pretty disappointed. They are tacos (with sweet ground meat too)! They are not empanada. Stop changing it! It's a disrespect to the popular Ilocano empanada, or any empanada for that matter. There are classics that are meant to remain classic. The Cassava ube cake was good but the Calamansi cake/pie is a little sour to my liking. I hope they take this review as a suggestion for the better. I don't want to be hating on anyone. Not a lot of Filipino bakeries where I'm at. I saw a video on Instagram that drew me in. The location is on a busy street, virtually no parking. I usually subtract a star, but for this place- i simply cannot. The customer service was pleasant. Nice group of people. They have many purple yam items, something not too common. I've been craving it. Was happy to see it. I got the purple yam ice cream and coffee brownie, tres leches, cake, and crinkle. Yes i know, very "big backed" of me, but i didn't care. That crinkle...........Bussin out the SEAMS. I wish i got more. I almost cried when i finished it. The tres leches was good- had mints of coconut. Was very light. The cake was ok. A bit dry, i think the frosting was a bit too light. Still good. The ice cream was delicious, reminded me of the ice cream my grandma had in the freezer so so good. The coffee brownie ice cream HIT DIFFERENT. Definitely try both if you can- I'd suggest in different cups or at different times so you can truly taste each one. Cannot wait to go back. read more

I'm confused and disappointed!! Suggest to rename it and make it your own spin and not call it as it is because it is not!! Found this adorable bakery on Google...and am I glad I did! When I went in I was greeted by a friendly person behind the counter! The entire space smells absolutely FANTASTIC ...it's so adorable in there and has an open kitchen so you can see what's being made! I went here today for breakfast. I got a sausage, egg and cheese on a wrap and a mango mansi drink. The sausage, egg and cheese was delicious! I really love the mango Mansi drink!! So yummy. I couldn't help but get a chocolate chip cookie as well which I think was the star of the show. They don't flatten the cookie they kind of have it in a scoop form as if you scooped the Coquito using an ice cream scoop. The cookie itself was so delicious and the texture was great! I think the shape of the cookie was a fun way to change things up with the texture of the cookie. My boyfriend got a mango juice and a chicken mozzarella pesto sandwich. We were very excited to try this place. We wanted to try almost everything and ordered over $80 worth of food and drinks. We went on a Saturday and it started it to get packed very fast. Just keep in mind to be prepared to wait! They didn't have enough workers to handle the traffic of customers. Food and drinks toke about an 45mins to an hour. There were frustrating customers asking about their orders. Desserts however, were quick because you can just order and it's made or grabbed for you on the spot but other than that if you're ordering a drink or food, be prepared to wait... When we finally got the rice plates, it was very disappointing. Portions were really small for the price and the rice was undercooked. My husband was not a fan. Looked more liked a kids portion and it definitely would not fill up an adult. The Pandan and Ube latte were tasteless.
