This location is not quite as good as others I've been to. The server was friendly, but the service was extremely slow. It took forever to get our food and ran out of drinks and had to wait quite a while for refills. The steak was good and cooked perfectly, but the chicken in the salad was very dry and overcooked. I usually love grilled chicken at Texas Roadhouse, but not this location.

I have always raved about Texas Roadhouse but what a disappointment. Waited 1.5 hours for a table and after 1.5 hours we still did not have our meals. Just underwhelming and they had several tables empty - they were out of food, premix LIT, no fried pickles - several tables were not happy. So disappointing.

I had 25 people at my house. We placed an order in the early afternoon for a 615 pick up time. They called regarding the order at 6:12 to say that they were out of one of the family dish orders that we had ordered. And they're only response was "we tried to call ". I don't think that, even on a busy day, three minutes prior to pick up time is appropriate. The other options were smaller portions, other than the chicken critters, in which we had already had an order for this. The lady was very rude throughout the entire process. She slammed the window in my face multiple times. One time when I asked how long the weight was after changing the order, she said that it would be 45 minutes. I obviously very frustrated attempted to be nice however, she was completely rude, I asked her how long it would be, and she never returned to the window. She became very frustrated when a family member called in regarding the order, due to the concerns with the timing. I proceeded to wait 45 minutes for them to fix my order. I do not feel this is OK. They also charged me for the steak, even though they were out of the original order and once again did not notify us but three minutes prior to order pick up. This is not OK. She also refused to add any extra steaks on, without paying for a whole entrée for each. Absolutely ridiculous. I think that the woman working the window this evening should really work on things. And I hope that the manager is well aware. She also proceeded to say kind things to the other people, like sorry for your weight. But she was coward enough to never returned to the window, even though they messed up. I once again would like to reiterate that we place this order multiple hours prior to pick up, if they still proceeded to wait until three minutes prior to the order to notify us that they were out. Definitely would not recommend this location. Just to add - after waiting ALMOST AN HOUR FOR THE REPLACEMENT FAMILY MEAL STEAKS (should be 4), I ONLY RECEIVED TWO!!!! AND THEY MADE ME PAY A $10 UPCHARGE!!!

We were a party of 8 and were squished in a booth that fits 6 but extended a small table which is in last picture which ends up right next to the table of other ppl which got smooched by us in a way. We ordered and waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive and unfortunately all that time to wait for our food to arrive cold. The waitress took them back and apologized, but a manager never came like they usually do when something has to get recorded or whatever. We had to wait 30 minutes to get our food, which by now we were ready to leave. They forgot my daughter's corn, which ended up as to go. This was a horrible experience, and it was our first time here, too. Will not be coming back cause this was just a bad experience all around except our waitress who was so sweet and understanding.

At check in, we were told the wait time for a table was 45-50 minutes for a party of 5. About 10 minutes later we received the text that the table was ready. We were promptly greeted for our drink orders and the rolls came out. My only issue with that was, the plates were wet and smelled of dish soap. Just a little pet peeve of mine I just don't like the possible transfer of germs but moving forward... The food was good. I order the kids meal sirloin cooked medium and loaded baked potato with a strawberry lemonade. Our waitress was also nice and friendly. If I'm back in the area I'll will give them a return visit.

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Lots of parking lot spaces and handicap and takeout parking. Handicap accessible. Walked in in Wednesday to very little wait. Normally there can be lines , they'll take. Umber and text you when your party and you are ready. Host will walk you to table with your HOT Butter rolls with Cinnamon sweet butter. Delish HOT bites of fluffy buns. Ordered the fried blooming onions. Nicely fried and easy to pull apart. Served with spicy dip. I liked. Also has the 12 oz prime rib! Perfectly grilled medium rare, albeit LOTs of fat! Baked potato and salad were typical but good dressings. Our server and mgmt constantly stopped by to check on what was needed. Good service today. And enjoyed our dinner. I'm a FaN!

The woman at the register was helpful when I asked what was popular on the menu since it was our first visit, but she wasn't very welcoming. She never really smiled, and I wasn't sure how ordering and seating worked at first. On the other hand, the server who brought our food was super friendly and made a much better impression. I ordered the ribs with baked beans and collard greens, along with the brisket mac & cheese bites. The ribs had really good barbecue flavor, although they were a little tougher than I'd prefer. The brisket mac & cheese bites were delicious, especially with the dipping sauce. The collard greens were pretty decent--slightly bland, but still enjoyable. The baked beans started off really good, but after a few bites they became a little monotonous and had a slight sour taste. I think they'd be even better with some ground beef or sausage mixed in. My son ordered the smashburger with mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was cheesy, gooey, and probably one of our favorite sides. The smashburger was just okay. It tasted like a regular burger, and I was expecting more of that crispy, charred edge that makes a smashburger special. The only other thing I'd mention is that we felt a little rushed while we were eating. Even so, the food was flavorful, the restaurant was clean, and I'd definitely stop by again if I lived in the area.

But South Carolina has the best BBQ of all the southern states when you can find the right stuff. BBQ Barn is the right stuff. They've got pulled pork with quality sauces, hash similar to what I make myself (therefore excellent), delicious southern sides, sweet (and unsweet) tea, various other meats (their burnt ends are yum!) and some desserts that look great but I haven't tried yet. They also aren't a buffet style restaurant which is a great thing in my opinion. They have a good amount of seating but I don't think they'll fit lots of large groups so keep that in mind. They do have a drive thru and you can order food to go. Unfortunately, they are also like other good BBQ places in their limited hours; they are only open Wednesday-Saturday each week so they can't be Sunday dinner or Monday emergency dinner unless you plan well ahead. The staff are nice and the restaurant is always clean enough. When we aren't making our own barbecue, we are probably getting barbecue from BBQ Barn (or the only other good bbq spot in the CSRA).

My first two visits were only 24 hours apart because it was so good. This time I experienced the same delicious food and quick service. I am impressed by the quality of the food (so fresh) and how kind everyone is here. I like to ask what they recommend, because the desserts change and the cashier was sweet and indulged my questions. I also can't speak highly enough if the sauces. I am a big fan of the spicy georgia red bbq sauce. The gold is also great, just a mustard flavor. I'm tempted to buy a bottle the next time I visit. My recommendation - Come visit on a warm day. Order a platter of food (2 meats will give you plenty of leftovers) and a slice of cake. Sit at the outside tables and enjoy. There are fans outside if it's too warm.

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. It soaked up every bit of flavor from the meats and tied the whole plate together. Simple, but done exactly right. The restaurant was busy, which speaks to how popular it is. The staff looked a little overwhelmed during the rush, and you could tell an extra set of hands would've helped. First I'll discuss the food (excellent), then service and comfort (pretty good), and finally move…read moreon to other factors (amusing but also disturbing). I've been disappointed by too many barbecues, even in the South where they are known for the genre. Patriot Smokehouse restored my faith that great barbecue must still exist. I got a 2 meat platter with two sides. Since I was camping I also ordered an extra meat and two more sides to go. Plenty for the lunch and two more meals the next days. All the meats were very good to excellent, fork tender but not falling apart, lots of smoky flavor and visible "bark". And each meat had a completely different spice rub, which I learned were all designed in house. I have a lot to cover so just a few words on each: Pulled pork: a good mix of mostly chopped with not much shreds; lots of flavor even without adding sauce. Brisket (the 2nd of my two-meat platter): tender and fork-cuttable, a bit too thinly sliced for my liking. Baby-back ribs: maybe the best I've ever had. No disagreeable gristly parts, and with an unusual "hammy" flavor (maybe from brining?) Sauces: they have 4 sauces, and they bring you as many as you request. All invented in house. A tomato-based, a mustard-based, a vinegar based, and an extra hot&spicy. I tried all but the vinegar and liked them all but especially the mustard. Now the sides. Potato salad: the potato chunks were not overcooked, a bit mayonnaisey but excellent due to the tanginess and bite of the mustard and who knows what else? Fried okra: well, I had to try it, and if you're determined to eat okra (rather than use it to thicken a gumbo) then fried is the only way - and they nailed it. Baked beans: sauce thick, sweet, and smoky, not the best not the worst. Garden salad (don't judge me; I needed some greens): nothing special; just iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and onions, with shredded cheese; choice of dressing (I had Italian) Quantities: All sides were of reasonable size. The 2-meat platter wasn't balanced though; more than enough pulled pork and not enough brisket. The ribs: a half rack (how many is that - 6?) Other foods: The pecan pie was excellent with sufficient pecans on top, a filling that was not oversweetened, and a good crust. The strawberry pie: not what I expected. It wasn't a fruit filling but more like a mousse. Good for what it was, but I wouldn't order it again. Surprisingly they do not sell cornbread. Drinks: Lemonade, sweet tea, or ice coffee all come with the meal. Free refills on drinks. I got lemonade which was a bit weak but not too sweet. I don't think they serve alcohol. Service: Took slightly longer than I expected but she (cashier, waitperson, mother of the two chef brothers) did come by with a drink refill and kept me updated. She was pleasant and answered my questions about the restaurant's history and other things when asked. Ambience: first thing that struck me was the smoke. The first time I stopped by (to check it out for the next day as I had just eaten) they must have had a slight smoker malfunction because it was visibly wafting through the room - but not too thickly. Ahh, wood smoke and meat drippings; enticing! That's when I knew I had to come back. The room was concrete floored, wood trim stained by years of smoke, plank tables with clear vinyl coverings. Real silverware was provided and plenty of napkins. There was a TV but it was small and the sound was off. It was playing "Fail Army" the whole time which was fun! The music was alt-country, old rockabilly, and bluegrass; a nice mix. I should stop now but I won't. On to the "other factors". As you can guess from the name "Patriot Smokehouse" there's a theme here. American flags, "Don't Tread On Me", and the waitress/mother was wearing a silly red/white/blue hat and a shirt saying "God, Country, and Freedom" or something to that effect. The symbols abounded, covering the walls. It wasn't all cliché though. A poster titled "Weapons Of the American Revolution" provided at least some interesting reading, and a cartoon of a chicken, pig, and cow titled "Cluck, Oink, Moo" was cute. But then there's the sign on the front door "Lawfully Concealed Weapons Are Welcome Here". That sign is not a joke. Of course they are - and that's fine. But do you have to spell it out in big bold letters and offend those who might be uncomfortable about this? Some compassion would be appreciated. The newspaper review on the wall described it as "unabashadly patriotic" but that's not patriotism - it is jingoism. Want to make America great? That takes compassion, empathy for people different from yourselves, and humility. Judging by the theme here I don't expect that a move to "greatness" if it happens will start here. But I loved the food, enjoyed my conversation with the mother, and the people watching. I'd unhesitatingly come back and recommend it wholeheartedly.
