Haven't been to this Shane's location is years, plenty of seating for various group sizes and well situated in the shopping center for parking. All the food was great, but my oldest son said the burger wasn't that great and didn't even eat all over which says something because he loves burgers almost as much as I do. It is as if they are a two person team running show! They are literally doing everything with the exception of cooking the food! If it was me, I would be frazzled, but they were calm in the storm! I wanted to thank the staff at this Shane's location their compassionate customer service while we so often go to Shane's for a quick tasty dinner, this particular review is something outside of the normal scope of restaurant service Over the years when ordering in or taking home leftovers all of our pets always knew Shane's and all clamored for a small taste of their delicious pulled pork this past Monday 2.10.25 one of our beloved pets of 17 years went into kidney failure and refused all food and treats, as her last meal my son desperately remembered how much she would beg for some pulled pork, basically the only "human" food she ever showed interest in so he immediately went to go get a small chunk to give her. 3.5/5; I'll give it a 4/5 for being a chain restaurant. I had the sampler platter which was plenty for two meals. Their sweet potato fries were just okay to me. I wanted them to be crispier. The pulled pork is tender but does require some sauce for flavor. And the ribs weren't anything special. I'd probably opt out of the chicken as I thought it was dry. I'm not from the south, so my friend told me I had to try the peach tea. I can see why people love it--but I definitely need to water it down as it's too sweet for my personal preference. read more

Ordered rib and pork plate. Half rack of ribs and 1/2lb of shredded pork. Its supposed to come with 2 large sides according to their website as well as 2 pieces of toast. Well they only gave us 1 piece of toast and the sides were the smallest portions I'd ever seen l intentionally ordered a large sized dessert because they use the same 3 sizes regular, large, and pint, just to compare and what a difference there was. So dont trust the meal to come with large sides even though they list it as such. Also the macaroni and cheese is nothing shy of krafts blue box with bigger noodles, not very good at all. The taste of the pork and the ribs were good, although im not sure 4 ribs can be considered a half rack or not. The brunswick stew was also good. No complaints on the peach cobbler either. Other than their complete disregard of their own portion sizes and the dismal macaroni and cheese, it wasnt all bad, the meat was on point for taste. Picture below are the sizes there's obviously quite a difference from the large to the regular. We had gotten this meal because we were going to split it, if the sides had been the size they should've been then i wouldn't have been as upset as i was. I ordered $90 worth of bbq and sides including tax and tip. Asked for curbside service. Order was not accurate. When I got home, I discovered my pint of potato salad (their large) was missing. I called and asked them to have it ready and asked for a large cobbler and Mac n Cheese for my inconvenience of having to return to the store. I also asked for more bread since I ordered rack of ribs, 1lb of pork and whole chicken and only received four pieces. They said they would accommodate me. Yet when I showed up, they gave me half full medium containers of cobbler, potato salad, and Mac n cheese. Basically about an individual serving of each. And two pieces of bread. They have indoor and outdoor dining. I had the Big Dad plate with green beans. It was a large portion of the pulled pork served on two slices of Texas toast. I would have liked the toast a little toastier. As with a lot of places lately I was surprised at how small my side of veggies was- a small styrofoam cup. If I had ordered fries is that the same portion size I would have gotten? It was pretty tiny! I used the Carolina Mustard Sauce for my BBQ, and it was very good. Out of all the rib chains in the country Shanes is the best. You get a taste and quality that is very surprising and one that you are use to at one of the small hometown mom and pops. I've been to several of their locations and the staff was super nice. But I will never go back to this location again. The two cashiers were so rude and talked down to me so bad that I turned around and walked out before I could give them my order. The food there may be good but I'm not going to spend money in a restaurant when the first two people I meet are so rude. They were not busy. I was the only one in line. There was an age difference of about 45 years. I guess their parents neglected to teach them any manners or to respect us older folks. The chopped pork was tender and lean, it had a mid smoke flavor. The fries had a good crisp shell and was lightly salted. For my first Shane's experience I was pleasantly surprised. I think I need to order something other than chicken. Both times I did not care for my meal. First time I ordered BBQ chicken plate with potato salad and baked beans. The chicken was my least favorite. It seemed dry despite being soaked in BBQ sauce. The potato salad and baked beans were good. The second time I went in, I ordered grilled chicken tenders and potato salad. The chicken was hard and dry. It seemed old and not fresh. The potato salad was good/average. While waiting for my food, I noticed the most popular order was the "big dad." Which is BBQ pork. Anyway, I will check out more BBQ places. But, this is not my favorite.
