These guys have 5 stars for a reason. They may not have "revolutionized" pool care- but they are…read morethe most efficient and effective team assembled in Austin. They do everything, and they do it well. They are transparent and extremely responsive. For your $, you could not get a better service. Thanks so much, Patriot.

I'm kind of baffled by all the positive reviews for this company. We have had consistent problems…read morewith Patriot since not long after we started using them in 2022. The weekly pool service is generally fine, but if anything goes even remotely wrong (which it will because they're scaling rapidly and training new folks), Patriot is nowhere to be found. In the time we've been using them, they've incorrectly cleaned our filter twice, stained our white pool tiles, and caused our skimmer to operate incorrectly. It has been pulling teeth to get them to return to fix it - many calls over many weeks, and at present, our skimmer and pool tile are still not resolved. In the case of the skimmer, our pool has an in-ground cleaning system and generally stays crystal clear throughout the spring months. Twice now, Patriot has come to clean the filter, and the skimmer has stopped operating immediately after. The first time, a tech returned a week or so later and told us their filter crew had forgotten to switch something to do with the skimmer back on (it was immediately fixed once he corrected it). This time, it stopped operating correctly immediately after the filter-cleaning again (same timing, same issue) and Patriot (after failing to return our calls, then sending people who weren't trained to investigate or resolve the issue three separate times) is telling us there's nothing wrong. This has been going on for well over a month at this point, and apparently we're going to need to pay someone else to come out and fix it. In the case of the pool tile (see pics below) Patriot acknowledged fault for the issue, and tried a number of tactics to resolve it, none of which worked. So it seems we're stuck with the stains. There are lots of pool companies in Austin. I'd recommend you go with a company that stands behind their work and fixes their mistakes.

Freedom Pools - Pool Cleaning Review (1/5)…read more I had my pool fully renovated in April 2024, investing over $23,000 in repairs. Following the renovation, I continued using the new brand "Freedom Pools," as Sandy was a part owner involved in my renovation project. I trusted the continuity would ensure quality -- I was wrong. Over the past two years, I've had to spend an additional $2,400+ in repairs from outside pool service representatives just to correct issues that Freedom Pools should have handled. There were stretches where my pool received no service for weeks at a time, leaving me to deal with problems that only compounded. I had surfaced the issues showing employees not coming for weeks at at time, while I still paid for service. To Sandy's credit, when I raised concerns and he finally responded, he acted to get service restored. I'll admit, I wrongfully held on, hoping he would make things right long-term. I continued making the wrong decision by maintaining my loyalty to Sandy and his team, giving them chance after chance. But here's the core problem: his team shows up for 8-10 minutes per visit - verified by cameras. That is simply not enough time to properly service and maintain a large and deep pool, especially one with a $23,000 renovation investment behind it. The work being done in those brief visits is surface-level at best. Getting leaves out and adding chemicals. Occasionally back-washing but not vacuuming or determining root cause issues. Today was the final straw after the fourth need to externally source and pay an external pool provider -- yet another event requiring an ad hoc service call, and yet another exorbitant charge ($800) from a repair service to fix what should have been caught and handled during routine maintenance. Looking back, I could have paid the right person a higher rate from the start and avoided all of this -- the headaches, the repeat repairs, and the thousands of dollars wasted trying to save a few bucks. Lesson learned. Bottom line: If you have a pool, don't cut corners on maintenance. Freedom Pools may seem affordable, but the lack of thorough service will cost you far more in the long run.

Anyone who has a pool understands the challenges with cleaning and maintenance. Moreover, it seems…read morethat most, or all pool service companies struggle to provide consistent and reliable service to all of their customers. We have used Hines for several years now, and are generally happy with the service and support we receive. That said, we have had multiple cleaning techs on our account since hiring Hines. A few techs have not been good/helpful, creating extra work for us, and on occasion, have caused unnecessary damage to our pool/pool equipment. I'm writing this review today to call out a couple of people at Hines that really stand out in delivering outstanding customer service and ultimately outstanding results for our pool.   Gabe M is our current cleaning technician. He's extremely bright and friendly, and he works really hard to do a good job for his customers. What really stands out is his communication with us -- he is GREAT about keeping us in the loop about when he is coming and what is happening with our pool. If he is unsure about something with the pool, he will ask a superior, or take the time to research if needed, which gives us a lot of confidence in his work! He is also great with our FOUR dogs and always shuts the gate for their safety, etc. When the pool needs repairs, we can't say enough about Chris O!!  We have the Intellichem system. It is awesome when used correctly, but it is definitely challenging and not common on non-commercial pools.   Chris O really knows his way around  pools and pool equipment - including the Intellichem, and has helped us MANY TIMES over the years to correctly identify and quickly remedy issues.Thank you Chris, we really appreciate you! Our pool currently looks better than it has in a long time, and with Gabe and Chris from Hines, we really feel like our pool is in capable hands! Thank you Gabe and Chris for your hard work and dedication!

Removed my old and non functioning pool heater. Replaced my old chlorinator with a brand new Salt System Chlorinator that I bought from another company. All done in a couple of hours and now my pool water never looked so good and cristal clear. Thank You Chris, from Hines Pool. This business will get my money everytime I need pool work done.

Since they don't have a formal showroom, I was initially nervous about color choices, but Matt made sure I felt comfortable with my decision. The job ran over by a couple of days, meaning I was out of town for work when the finishing touches were applied. When I returned home, I was momentarily shocked to find the pool looking very green! I initially worried it was the wrong color, but it simply needed to be properly "shocked" instead of me! Thankfully, my remodel included a month of pool cleaning service, so everything was quickly taken care of by their team. The employees at Poolie were top-notch. They were nothing but respectful of my property, ensured everything was put back exactly as they found it, and left the site clean. I have zero complaints about their work ethic or the final result. I am very happy with my remodeled pool and their excellent service! I was just purchasing the home and the pool needed to be redone. The owners received the quotes for me. From what I was told, Poolie was the only company who had actually looked at the pool when they gave the quote because they were the ones already doing the pool maintenance. So I chose to stick with Poolie because I figured their quote would be accurate since they knew what the pool actually looked like besides, just googling the address. They held the price for me a little longer as I needed to secure funds from a previous real estate transaction. I really appreciate that. I also had them replace all of the tile. They had used my garden hose and loosened it to where I could not get it tightened and when I let Matt know, could they please tighten the outside spigot he went above and beyond and actually had them replaced the whole thing although they did not damage it they just loosened it and it was not easy for me to tighten because it was old. Thank you Matt!! You can see from the photos the new pebble pool has a darker blue gray at night it looks really cool. It's lighter in the day when the sun is out.
