The front desk gal took time to show me around and answer all my questions. She was pleasant and engaging. I believe she was the HR person covering the front desk. Great customer service!! read more

Very tentative and friendly staff, especially Kimmy and one other lady helping us out. Amazing experience thanks to them! Check it out

Great experience. Greeted right away, rented without any delays and best of all was Dwayne in the range. He helped my son with technique tips. Being new to the shooting it was amazing to get his help. He was very professional, patient and polite. Made the experience that much better. We will be back and hope to have Dwayne help us again. read more

My wife and I are thinking about buying a gun. We don't have a lot of experience shooting guns and no experience shooting a handgun. We were feeling a little intimidated walking through the front door, but were immediately greeted by very friendly and helpful people. They suggested we take the new shooter lesson. We first had to watch a brief video, sign a waiver, and then it was off to the indoor range. Our RSO (Range Safety Officer) was Hannah. She was so nice and very patient with us. She explained things very clearly and then asked us if we had any questions. She took us to the range where she explained how to stand and reminded us of everything she told us earlier about how to handle the gun and load ammunition. She was very encouraging and stayed with us the entire time, which put us at ease. We left feeling really good about our first experience firing a hand gun. If you are thinking about arming yourself, or just want to learn how to handle a gun, I would highly recommend this place. read more

Texas Gun Experience - First time target. - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Grapevine, Texas

This is a decent range that just opened recently. Lots of lanes , 25 and 50 yards indoor range. It would be a great place to zero a rifle. It seems well ventilated and has range officers in the bays to keep things safe. I can not stand budget ranges that refuse to have range officers in the bays. It saves the cheap owners money but makes it dangerous for the customers This place is not your tiny little range in an office park or shopping center with a few lanes and a couple of guns to rent or sell. This place is huge. It is like a big box store with some high end toys. They even have machine gun rentals. They have a huge selection of firearms and supplies . Worth a stop. It is near the airport so I am sure they cater to out of towners looking to shoot guns for the first time. Since they have range officers watching you in the shooting area. It is safe. read more

A little upset at myself and the world for making me walk in here and spend 50$ on a case of .380 ammo hahahah but what made it all ok was the friendly service over the phone and inside the store, first time in there and was confused where to pay for about 10seconds before Dennis noticed me and helped me out. Extremely friendly guy, plenty of staff, honestly loved the place can't wAit to come back and try the range! read more

Great staff and love the open, modern and bright store. The knife section was huge and the staff was attentive. Crazy time to find guns and ammo but they do have inventory and the staff was patient with my questions. Loved the modern range equipment and great ventilation. Didn't have that usual range smell! I definitely recommend these guys. I'll be back! read more

Walked in as they opened their doors to pickup an FFL transfer and the blonde female at the counter was less than enthusiastic to help. Filled out my paperwork and she walked off to help others. I had to find a new employee. Horrible service read more

First time here my boyfriend came across Robs Instagram page. We came in to initially just look left with a new glock 43x and a Christiansen. Rob was AMAZING very knowledgeable and patient with us. read more

Amazing experience! I attended a class here and was immediately welcomed into the facility by a very welcoming helpful employee. She looked up what classroom the class was in and walked me to it. This facility looks brand new. Beautiful layout and the classroom furnishings are quality and comfortable for classroom learning. I had a few extra minutes before class stared so I decided to browse around the store. Two additional friendly employees interacted with me to ensure I was well taken care of. This place is awesome! read more

Great Experience all around. Shop is well organized. Personnel very experienced and knowledgeable. Antwone at the range was great!!

Hell yes! Awesome experience on machine gun Friday. The gun and knife stores are unreal!!!

Fantastic range overall! It's a fabulous facility, the staff is super friendly, and the training they provide is top-notch. Shoutout to Justin for being an awesome trainer in-class well as my private session! I'll for sure be taking more classes here. Great selection of guns for rent and purchase also. read more

This place is amazing!!!! I was looking for a particular optic plate and couldn't find it anywhere in the DFW Metroplex or online. I crossed my fingers walked in hoping TGE would have. CODY, who was swamped helping multiple customers, couldn't find the part online or in their system but he walked into the back and FOUND ONE!!! CODY was polite, professional and extremely helpful. Thanks for the great service. read more

TGE is a very nice place for handgun shooting. I prefer outdoor steel targets shooting. But TGF seems to have good ventilation. I didn't smell any burnt powder. The only con I observed was that the shooting stations are very narrow. The ejected shells kept bouncing off the walls and hitting me. A couple got inside my shirt too. Make sure you wear a crew neck under your shirt. And be buttoned up. read more

Took my CHL class here. Excellent course with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Plan on taking more classes and making use of the gun range more often. read more

TWO WORDS: COLIN T. A newbie with NO EXPERIENCE with GUNS... I went to the LTC Prep Course knowing nothing other than I wanted a LTC Permit. Colin was absolutely FABULOUS! From the moment we began the prep course... Colin conveyed a since of confidence and accomplishment in me that I could responsibly carry and use a handgun! After shooting a 237 vs a perfect score of 250 the very FIRST time I held a gun... I left with a sense of pride and power... Pride, power and confidence I largely gained from my time with Colin!!! Thank you Colin! You truly are the best! read more

Came into Texas for a couple of days and wanted to go shooting for the first time. We decided to go to Texas Gun Experience and as soon as we walked in we were greeted kindly and directed to the area to get started. There we were met with a lovely and awesome guy named Antwon. He truly made our experience here so amazing and provided us with information about everything. He was truly one of the best parts of the experience aside from the other helpful and informative staff inside the shooting range. I recommend this place especially if you've never been shooting before it was awesome. read more

As a first time prospective buyer, I have nothing but positive things to say about TGE. TGE's inventory is very nice, staff very knowledgeable and there is no sales pressure. Due to the unavailability of the model of revolver I was looking for, I did not buy one on my first visit. The reason for the shortage of firearms and ammo is nationwide, not just at TGE. Their Knife/Blade Store also has great staff. I got my knife sharpened by Sara with a H. She is very detail oriented and did an outstanding job on my knife. My Emerson Sheepdog knife hasn't been this sharp ever since I bought it two years ago. I would go back there again. PS. All staff had masks on and so did the customers ++ read more

Santo was a total bro letting me shoot his personal Sig. Not to many people will let you use their ammo and gun in the first 10 seconds of meeting them. I also appreciated his candid opinion. Konnor was also super helpful in ordering my Sig since they did not have it it stock. read more

Very high tech range, friendly staff, and music in the range! I mean that was a great touch, the sales floor staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and overall very helpful. They let me shoot my SKS on the range next to my friend with his mosin, and they put some guy with an AK next to us! They know what they're doing, and they have a friggin mini gun that you can shoot. If you wanna go and have some fun shooting guns and you're in the grapevine/ HEB area, go to Texas Gun Experience. read more

We were in visiting our friends in Dallas and we stumbled into this spot trying to find a range to shoot automatic guns at, since we only have semi auto in California. The guys who helped us out were very professional and super cool, there were a good amount of guns to choose from, and we got a pretty good deal because of the 4th of July. Definitely check this spot out if you want to go shooting read more

Clean, safe, and exceptional. Hannah was incredibly helpful in setting up our experience at check in, she was so positive and polite. Chandler was patient and kind, he helped out on the range, giving an informative mini lesson, and coaching us through. 10/10 experience! Would highly recommend! read more

I'm a first time gun owner. I purchased a Glock in October 2020 and finally got around to booking a training class to learn how to handle, load and shoot. Collin was my trainer for the class and he gave me everything I needed to know for the next 75 minutes. I was able to load and shot 6 different hand guns which included my own handgun. I hit the bullseye 10 times and was able to feel comfortable using this handgun when needed for my protection. I look forward to going back to the shooting range to improve my skills. read more

Nice big place with friendly staff. Unfortunately I did not find what I was looking for but I did go home with some souvenirs.

Kris was an incredible instructor. Thanks to him, I feel more confident loading, holding and shooting. I could ask him any questions and he was there to help right away. Because of this experience, I plan on taking the next class (intermediate)! read more

I was oking for a small but good Hand Gun and I worked with Noel. He did a fantastic job of finding me the right handgun. Thank you so much for your help if not for you and me going at it alone I would've never found what was right for me. Again thank you. read more

Been here a few times to use the shooting range (great range, rentals, and machine guns). During my latest visit I purchased my first firearm from them and I couldn't be happier with their service. I like this place. Great selection of a lot of items I'm interested in and incredibly knowledgeable staff. I bought a belt and had it engraved at their blade bar (gray selection of edc items at good prices). Kimmy did the engraving and turned it in a couple hours. Super job by great people! read more

Took Intro Handgun Class this week. Upon arrival, the front desk did not know where we were supposed to meet. After 5:00 we were told to go to the Conference Room. Instructor was 30 minutes late. Class started at 5:30PM instead of 5:00 PM. Instructor said his previous class ran over and needed a restroom break. All of the class was over at 7:15PM instead of 8:00PM. To give TGE a break on this review, it was a small class. However, I feel they could have used that as a chance to give the people there more instruction or shooting time. This was my second time I took this exact class so I had something to compare it to. I brought a guest with me this time too. read more

This past week I had a private lesson with Danielle & she was wonderful! It's been several years since I've shot my gun, so my husband bought me a private with Danielle. Honestly, I was nervous since it's been a while & I'm truly a terrible shot, but Danielle made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. After patiently working with me, she suggested a technique to get me to relax my dominant hand and it worked! Still have a long ways to go, but excited to have found a great instructor at a fantastic facility. Highly recommend! read more

My family purchased this package for my 65th birthday, three guns with 9 additional mags. My wife and two sons went with me to celebrate, none of us have ever shot a fully automatic machine gun before. All I can say is WOW! This was worth every penny. The staff of TGE was very professional and helpful. Special shout out to Daniel, our range safety manager, he was so helpful explaining the workings and history of each gun. We would all do this again. read more

My wife and I had a very positive experience at Texas Gun Experience this week. As soon as we entered this brand-new state of the art facility we were greeted with friendly Texas hospitality and smiles. We informed the young lady who greeted us that we want to rent handguns to shoot at their indoor range. We were asked to first watch a safety training video before heading over to the range counter. After we watched the easy to understand safety video we walked over to the range counter and met John who was very helpful in explaining their process to rent a gun and shoot in their range. John was extremely pleasant to work with because he guided us through the process and was extremely helpful. Upon entering the range area we were greeted by range officer Hannah who was another knowledgeable staff member. Hannah was very patient, helpful, and efficient at helping us and others to be safe while experiencing a positive shooting experience while at their range. Hannah answered all of our questions and even provided great shooting tips that helped my wife a lot. Upon completion of shooting many different handguns that evening, we visited the gun sales section and met Brad who was another person who was also helpful and extremely knowledgeable in all of the products, brands, and availability. In summary my wife and I enjoyed our date night because of the staff were all friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Texas Gun Experience to anyone interested in this type of activity. read more

My husband had been wanting and looking for a Desert Eagle 50 cal for a while now. Well his brother found one at Texas Gun Experience and Steve sold it to him. Of course my brother in law called his brother to let him know that he had found one and had bought it. He told his brother that if wanted one to go se Steve at TGE. Well not to be out gunned (no pun intended) by his brother we headed to TGE quick fast and in a hurry. Steve was amazing he took great care of us and made us feel like we where part of the TGE family. Steve definitely understood the assignment. We will definitely be back. Staff was so welcoming and helpful. read more
